This company needs to make it crystal clear that they charge a activation fee of $125 plus other charges. So before use, you are already charged. Only use if desperate.

They say that a person can pay via MoneyGram BillPay or Western Union - but, various merchants have reported the same thing, that the Aspire MC privilege to use their (MoneyGram AND WesternUnion) service has been suspended or revoked. How awful must one be to have their MoneyGram BillPay or WesternUnion privileges revoked? Makes one wonder what else they’re up to? If they don’t clean up their act pretty soon, I am going to do a balance transfer and never look back.

Poor useless app

It saddens me to see, after maintaining both of my Aspire accounts in perfect payment history for 2 years straight, with zero balances on them, that your development team does not have the foresight or competency to update your app along with IOS 16. I know there has been glitches over the last two years with your app, but now it just does not open?? The laughable part is that I have read a majority of the reviews listed, and the lack of response by you the developers, proves to me that, other than collecting your exorbitant fees, you just do not care. It seems to me, that with all the fees you charge, you would be paying your development staff more than enough income to take pride in their positions, to put out a quality product. But, alas, maybe the lack of integrity and competency starts from the top downwards, instead of with the underlings. I WOULD RATE THIS NO STARS IF APPLE WOULD ALLOW THAT…. WARNING: If you get the Aspire credit card, be prepared to keep your account up to date outside of this app!!!

I enjoy using the app for convenience since it is faster and easier to access my account. However, the big inconvenience is that the PIN and Face ID do not actually work. You can complete the setup process to save your loving but once you tap “Save Login” it scans your face then starts back at the beginning and nothing happens. Same for the PIN. I can input my desired PIN and confirm that PIN but nothing happens after. I still have to manually type my login info at the main screen. Aside from those two issues everything seems perfect to me (except maybe add a dark mode for people that care about their eyes).

I put my account information in for automatic payment and for two months in a row they tell me that my account information is not added correctly, but when I pay my bill when I submit it myself, there was no problems and i didn’t have to enter it because it was already there. so for two months they got late fees from me and when you talk to them, they talk in circles and do not know what you’re talking about they will not refund you anything and it will be your fault even if it is there’s even if you put your account number in right to pay it yourself so if you paid it yourself and it was right, that means that the account number was added right, right. Lol it’s funny now but it wasn’t the hour i was the phone saying the same thing over and over again.

So i just updated to the new iPhone 15 and just like many of you guys here I've also had the problem where my app is just stick on the white logo screen and I called Aspire customer support and they acted like they’ve never even heard of this problem before even though theres multiple app reviews on here stating this exact problem, they basically said theres nothing we can do and I'm just going to have to log on from the website from now on smh… So I logged in from a friends phone then deleted the app on my phone, then redownloaded it and it worked, it took me back to the page where you have to log in and verify your phone through text and thats it I'm good now. Im not sure if this will help anyone else but hope it does!

Hello , from the couple of reviews that I read a lot of card holders are having the same problem. I have had this credit card for a good two years now. Card & the app has always work great up until I just upgraded my iPhone. Now the app will not open. It’s stays on the Aspire screen. I had to log on though google just to pay my bill. To log on though the web was no problem which means the problem is with the app it’s self. Aspire team please fix the problem that everyone is having with the app asap. To log on from the web is a hassle, you have to put user name & password every time. With the app you can use Face-ID which makes it easier. Thank you for your time. Aspire Card Holder D******

I can’t believe this Organization is still able to victimized people. They take your payment and charge you late fees even though you pay on time. I can not log onto the app or the website. It allows them to add all kinds of strange fees and you can’t even see what’s going on with your account. At first I thought it was just me because they made it sound like I was the only one having this problem but then when I saw all the reviews wow! This card is a trap it is 100% criminal what they do. Stay away from this card and stay away from any affiliates! I’m about to fill out the complicated paperwork to complain about this company to all the credit unions. It’s the only way. Report them!!!! Predators!!

Many reviews state the app quit working when they upgraded their phone. I have an iPhone 13. App worked when I first started using it, but randomly quit working and can never get past the screen that displays the credit card’s. Spoke with tech support and they suggested clearing my phone’s cache. I have done that. I have deleted and redownloaded the app. Still, it won’t work and it’s annoying. Yes, I can log in through a web browser, but it’s not as user-friendly from a phone. I’m assuming the app problem has to do with the iOS versions, and the app developer should be upgrading the app to align and work with each and every iOS update.

Thought I would get this Aspire credit card for emergency. It’s been a nightmare, I can’t access anything. Not online not on the app. It’s a complete scam. Nothing works. Can’t log in, to make a payment for my purchases so I end up returning everything just incase. After reading all the reviews , I’m sure now this is some big corporate con. Aspire credit card is apparently apart of the bank of missouri, Perryville. I don’t trust them anymore either!!! Do your self a favor, shut down any account with them and burn all the pre approve junk mail they send you. This app has never work ever so don’t even bother!!!

You apply for there stupid card get approved pay there ridiculous annual fee down almost paid off in the meantime you don’t use your card trying to be smart these idiots suspend your card for inactivity you call them they say ok we will reactivate your card say your good to go here I am thinking cool go try and buy my wife an anniversary present WRONG declined so I call them back then they say it won’t be active until next billing cycle which makes you look like a total idiot thanks a lot never have I been lied to and treated like an idiot with a credit card company

The app barely works doesn’t matter how many times I save my information it just doesn’t work. The customer service is horrible ..Not one native speaking English person they’re extremely argumentative and don’t help at all. I would prefer a computer talking to me because at least then I would know that that’s why my problem is not getting resolved.. after two years the company closed my card for no reason… This is predatory for people trying to build their credit

After updating my phone and iOS, the app no longer loaded past the splash screen. I had to use the website until I decided to just delete the app and re-download it. After that, works fine. Might want to tell your users that especially with the new iPhone and people are likely migrating their info from their old phone to their new one with a newer iOS.

Seems to be that they just wanna take the $75 whatever fee they charge a year and then after you make your payment for your statement they’ll keep on pushing it and saying oh it’s gonna be two days, five days, 15 days, until you have credit back on your card just so you can shut it down because who wants a card that you can’t use after paying it off. and they keep their money and do the same thing to the next person.

Your web site has stopped working. I have had the aspire website on my phone for about 4 years. It worked just fine. Upgraded my phone went to check just to make sure the app worked. When I opened the app and the logo came up. Waited a few minutes for it to open it just froze on the logo. Deleted the app. Got the app back and now just a white screen. Have nothing. Need the app to pay my bill. Can you fix this. This happened not just to me but to more people

Like many, I went months with the app not working. I seen another review that said delete and reinstall. Works perfect on my IPhone 15 now! Go do that before yall complain that you have to use the online feature verses an app 😁

To have such a basically designed app with no attractive features in this time makes no sense. I suppose the app works, but one knock is regarding payments and the time it takes to show it. For example, I made my payment on April 13th (it was previously scheduled), yet there is no evidence of it anywhere. Why wouldn’t it appear under payments? Or transactions? There should be record of the payment being made located somewhere on the app until the payment clears

So here is my story! I have this card and it’s easy to use, but I prefer to pay my card I full each month and I pay by my debit card, my balance does not reflect the funds and when you call there is always an excuse why! It can take over a week before the payment actually shows available and that’s ridiculous to me

This app is horrible. After I updated the app with the latest update I now get a warning from my Norton snit-virus protection that the app is unsafe to open. It just seems with each new software update this app gets worse each time not better and now after getting this warning I will pay my bill over the phone from now on or until they really fix this app.

When log into the app the first time you'll flag save this device to expedite login. That caches your hardware info to the apps data. Just delete the app and reinstall to regain access to the app.

This app has good potential but doesn’t work very well at all with iPhone pro. Biometric unlock didn’t work at all, pin didn’t work, password works unless you try to engage Face ID. It will then tell you over and over your password doesn’t meet requirements and to choose a password that meets requirements….huh? I thought I was logging in? The glitches have me concerned about the security of the app. Other than that, the app is designed well.

The app was fine when I first installed it for about a month, but when I tried opening it to pay my bill (on time) it wouldn't open, the screen wouldn't advance past the name of the card... I went on the website and paid my bill. It's been a month and it still won't open.

For those who are seething about the app not loading passed the splash screen AFTER you’ve updated your iOS, just delete and reinstall. Should work after that…breathe everyone, lol.

I’ve had this card for a year now and up until a couple months ago the app was working great. Now I can no longer log in using the app and have to constantly use a web browser to view my account which is inconvenient. No other credit card I have has an app that’s unusable. Totally considering closing out this credit card account because of the issue.

Hi this is not a criticism on aspire but more to let you know that the app freezes when you open to a white screen after the last update. Great credit card tho! : )

I’ve tried multiple times to access my account via the app. I’ve also tried to access the website. Neither worked. However, when my monthly payment was due, the link in the email miraculously worked. Now I’m constantly challenged with trying to still access my account. Emails have gone unanswered and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating.

Enrolled in autopay as one of prerequisites for $5.00 bonus, had it set to minimum payment, last month took full balance, thankfully I had it, and this month took statement balance. Instead of minimum payment. And I heard don’t wait til last day to pay, they will make payment send stuck in limbo, to get late fee, and destroy your credit.

First off the app is Trash, it hasn’t worked in a year, and they do not have an IT team to fix it, if you call support they don’t even know what to do. The card itself is also trash. Not only you pay a monthly fee, but you also pay another fee every year. I only went with them cause Experian suggested them, and my cause my credit was only 600

One, the customer service reps don’t seem to understand basic math after me paying over paying my card. They had my balance less than what it’s supposed to be and took over a week to rectify. Now I go to check my account and it says to download a newer version. Low and behold, there is no newer version in the App Store. Frustrated to say the least.

For about a month now when I try to open the app it comes up but stays frozen on the screen. I have to access my account by going on the actual web to conduct any kind of business.

I had a iPhone SE I just updated to a iPhone 15 max pro and it doesn’t let me use the aspire app it doesn’t load at all it just says aspire and stays on that screen it doesn’t bring u to the login and password where u log in I never had this problem until I got the new iPhone so how do I pay my payment every month if I can’t log In

One of the biggest reasons I liked this card was due to being able to pay my card through this app. I’ve been trying to log in the past 2 days and all I’m getting is a white screen. What’s going on?

Upgraded phone & app stuck on white screen. Delete the app & redownload from cloud. Assuming there isn’t another glitch, the app is alright .

I was so disappointed with the poor customer service i received that I decided to close this card. At the time of account closing, I had a small balance. Aspire still charged an annual fee and monthly maintenance fee until the account was paid off in full. Absolutely the worst credit card I’ve ever used. Deleted.

Just garbage app from the get go. I’d give 1/2 a star, or no stars. Even when it worked it was a crappy app from a crappy bank with crappy customer service.

Not only do they hit you with a 175 annual fee right out of the gate.. they then have a payment time of 5pm EST SO if you are on the west coast like me .. and pay at 3pm after work. They assess a late fee. I would not ever do business with this company again and as soon as my card is paid off will be canceling and cutting up.

Looks like everyone is having problems making their payment (in the reviews) they take your money and then say you didn’t make your payment I just made an account and went to download the app and saw everyone is having problems so I am deleting my account with them before I even start!

Didn’t have a reason to write a bad review before a week or two back. Suddenly the application won’t even load beyond the Aspire logo with no fix in sight. I would think fixing one of the primary methods users use to pay back their debt would be a priority. Will fix my review when this app loads again.

It sounded good…they’ll review your account after 6 months to increase your balance. It’s been almost 2 years and I’m still at $350. But closing this stupid account will only hurt my credit. Its not worth it. Hold out and find a company that does what they say. I would NEVER recommend Aspire Credit Card to anyone.

As much money as you’re making from you’re customers you can’t pay someone good enough to develop an app that actually works? It won’t even open on my IPhone. I have to log into the website to do anything with my account. It’s been this way for the last year or so. Fix the app.

Please fix this app for IPhone it will not load it worked for about a month no nothing but yet you sure want my payment on time. Y’all can clearly see there is an issue with all these recent reviews. You want us to pay our cards but can’t keep the way to do that running.

I got this line of credit because I fell behind on bills and my interest rate increased randomly out of nowhere and my minimum payment increased $30 because my payment was an hour late due to the app being down. Completely ridiculous. Will definitely not recommend this to anyone.

I just got this credit card, I was very happy that I was actually approved, I’m rebuilding my credit. I downloaded the app, set up my new account, made my first payment not too long ago and now the app just won’t open. It stays frozen at the logo. I have to be going into the website instead.

Great app. Everything there plus features I don’t have on my other cards.

When was the last time this app was even updated?! I haven’t even been able to OPEN the app for months now! How am I supposed to conveniently make a payment if I can’t get into the app on my iPhone 12 Pro? Just found out it opens fine on my 2 1/2 year old tablet no problem. But I don’t carry that with me everywhere like I do my phone.

Went to sign in to make a payment, however the app is stuck on its opening screen. If I can't sign in, I cannot pay, and they charge well over $50 if they are not paid on time.I have deleted this app. Now I have to sign in on my browser- what happened?

I have not had any issues with the credit cards themselves or the company in that way. I have two cards with this company but for the last few months, I’m unable to pay my cards through the app because the app will not work.
