Ease of Use
There’s been a wonderful ease of use in the app for someone like me (which is to say someone with temporal-lobe brain damage post car accident) and the human metrics involved in creating the app are hugely apparent. It’s easy to see balances; relatively easy (relative to me that is… with brain damage) to deposit checks and the support team is very helpful. I live on a tiny island and the local bank (Islander’s Bank) got bought up and gobbled up by Banner Bank. I was worried that I would lose the wonderful humans that ran Islander’s - they all knew me and my mental struggles and were basically financial gurus. I was thrilled - THRILLED - to know they were all now apart of the Banner Bank heading. And everyone I’ve had to speak to through Banner Bank (corporate) has been patient and kind AND very human. I’m glad to know I can feel that my brain and finances are in safe and caring hands.

Banner Bank App
Really disappointed in the bank for making such a app, it is crude to use and it quite often only fails to work properly. Both with face recognition and manually entering your password in can be a problem. Also some times snapshot doesn’t even work. And when it does it takes days to process. Not always, but it’s unreliable. You could never look at your app after 9 PM because your balance will change drastically and most your transactions will disappear. And if they’re pending they could be pending today, tomorrow the next day, the next day, the next day, the next day & when it finally stops pending then it’s dated as that date not the actual date when the transaction in reality occurred. So there is no way to actually use the app as a check register because it will tell you the wrong information about when you actually spent your money. I truly think that because of this glitch, that the bank is actually robbing everyone of there money a little here and a little there. The system used does not make any sense at all & is completely way out of line with the way it’s processes my transactions where I spend money and when I deposit money. I very much dislike this app and would not recommend it to anyone without a lawyer.

Amazing customer service - online app impeccable
I’ve banked with Banner Bank since they were a one branch operation in Walla Walla. A savings account with a passbook (remember those) when I was 4 years of age. That was 60 years ago. The bank has grown, expanded to many western states (still waiting for Northern Nevada… hint hint), and has never lost the hometown feel of a friendly smile, and amazing customer service. If I need personal banking services I drive from Reno over the Sierra to Grass Valley California (101 miles from home). There’s every brand of bank in Reno you could imagine [no Banner :( ]… they’re worth the drive. Mobile banking handles 99% of my needs. Banner Bank is wonderful. If you read this review, I have no ties to Banner other than being a loyal customer. You should give them a chance to be your financial partner as well. You’ll be amazed!

You really need to hire a better app maintenance company
Crashes too much. Errors a lot. Causes big delays just trying to complete online deposits. Every time you tweak it I spends a day or two trying to do the simplest of transactions. Please just shut it down and fix completely whoever keeps messing with little bug fixes is driving we customers nuts. Thanks. One last comment a text warning you are messing with online banking app BEFORE your tech person touches it would save us customers a whole lot of frustration. If I can’t get it to open how on earth can I see some note or warning on your app site? PS. Adding it to your phone system AT THE ANSWER POINT especially after hours would really help. Thanks!

Works but has problems
Update: different but still buggy and often terrible. At least now you don’t have to tap the submit button twice to deposit a check but the camera is still buggy and often doesn’t work the first time. And now it just spontaneously quit on me in the middle of a deposit. Frustrating. I suggest finding a new developer. I should say “sometimes works”. I mainly use the app for depositing business checks, and the check depositing is very glitchy. Frequently the image will not appear in the app after taking it, and it must be retaken. Frequently it will exit out of photo mode all by itself, for no reason. Sometimes I have to quit and relaunch to get it to photo deposit at all. Sometimes even that doesn’t work and I just give up. Also the image on the load screen is low rez and adds to the general feeling that it’s not a very solid app.

The Regional Bank That Could
I moved my accounts from an extremely large bank to Banner Bank about four years ago and am very impressed with everything I have contacted this bank about. From online experience to working with the bank staff I have always received excellent service. The friendliness and face recognition when I walk in my branch are priceless. If you want a decent sized bank that does almost everything a large bank does but want to be treated as a person and not just a number, I highly recommend this bank.

Worst Bank Ever!
I’ve been banking since the age of 11. I have belonged to several banks and credit unions, and Banner has been the least friendly and most unreliable in the 60 years I’ve had accounts. I am now battling pancreatic cancer, my 5th type of the disease. The closest branch is in Tekoa, WA. I am a victim of identity theft, and my checking account has been hacked on a monthly basis. The bank manager treats me as though I have brought this on myself, which isn’t true because I spent 53 years as a computer scientist specializing in computer crime. I even volunteer in our local sheriff’s office investigating the crimes. The manager is so unpleasant, my husband has to painfully drive me out of state to a branch where I am not judged. My experience with Banner Bank has been so negative that I am closing my account, and I will live out what time I have left without ever having another bank account.

Could be better
I use three credit unions and two of them through an online app. This one serves the purpose and presents the critical information well but access to other information such as bill pay is less convenient than the other accounts. I’m finding it difficult to quickly determine what bill are currently scheduled to be paid. I have to visit each bill I think will need to he paid to verify that it was actually scheduled. Very inconvenient. The Outstanding Bill payment section on my app does not have any transactions listed at all. If I select “quick bill pay” there is a tab that will display pending transactions. The Outstanding bill payments selection from the main menu needs help.

Terrible App
The App is always timing out before it even logs you in. It is slow and doesn’t always work. I’m constantly seeing “request timed out” on my screen while waiting for it to load. A lot of times if it will open it will show me my balance but freeze when I click it to view transactions. In addition there are several occasions where the mobile app and the website site are both down and it’s not available. I shouldn’t have to call and wait on hold to find out my balance or drive to a bank. And what if it’s after hours. It’s really the worst mobile banking experience. However I like the people at the local branch and have never had an issue with my account. Good bank. Bad mobile and online banking service... also it’s ONLY this app. It isn’t anything with my cache, cookies or web browser. Doesn’t matter if I’m on WiFi or just the LTE. The app is flawed.

Can’t be trusted
I am very good at making sure I don’t spend money I do t have but this app makes it very difficult! Things that you purchase as debit are supposed to come out automatically and be reflected in your available balance, (haven’t had a problem with this with any other bank) but with this app charges will move around and disappear and reappear days or sometimes a week later leaving it difficult to track your spending and available money. Especially around 8pm-6am. It’s very frustrating and I am constantly having to screen shot pictures of my account to have proof when the bank tries to charge you over draft fees and such. Basically I’m glad there’s an app hence the two stars but as far as the quality it needs to be better and more reliable.

Bad app for a horrible bank
Logging into the app can be temperamental, sometimes it works, other times it times out while trying to log in. The app doesn’t update in real time so you never really know which transactions have posted to your account and which haven’t. Add to that you can’t contact customer service through the app, there’s not even a phone number. My branch doesn’t have an ATM (must be the only bloody bank in America that doesn’t 🤬) and Banner Bank doesn’t have customer service in the evenings or on the weekends, so when you’re having a problem with your ATM card on a Saturday morning and can’t get any cash, you’ll be royally screwed, and flat broke, till Monday morning when you can actually speak to someone about it. Take my advice and bank your money elsewhere. Opening an account with Banner Bank was a big mistake.

Banner Bank Rocks!
I changed to Banner after 30 years with USBank. I’m SO glad I changed! I put up with 5-6 different cancelled debit cards with USBank to only one with Banner! Being a local bank, they won’t hesitate to answer my call when I have a purchase that their algorithm doesn’t recognize, and rather than cause me the discomfort of being without my debit card for 10 days, a real person answers the call and I let them know that I am shopping from this or that site, and they don’t automatically cancel my card!

Easy to use
I love the Banner Bank app because it lets me do so much! Transfer funds, easy to log in, never an issue with logging on. My other banks app is terrible continuously not letting me log on or just spins & spins, very frustrating that’s one reason I moved my main banking to Banner. The other reason is I can look back several months for deposits & withdrawals and expand the checks, which are very few now but it’s so nice & see my statements and can open them on the app & print them, other bank nope! Banner bank app is terrific!!

Great app
Now that I do my banking online, I no longer balance my checkbook I no longer spent hours writing checks licking envelopes buying stamps. I just take 10 minutes of my day. Pay my bills hours later. Look at the app. See my totals you’re doing a great job I have no problem with this app at all. I use it on my phone and I use it on my tablet. I’m on my tablet right now. Writing this review using a microphone not even typing. Modern technology is awesome I give you 5 1/2 stars I love this bank Banner Bank is the best bank I ever had.

Very proficient
I am using this app for personal, business, as a personal representative, and to help my mother. The snapshot deposit feature is tremendous, as I live outside of town. I have come to monitor when checks are posted and when they are cleared. I have several ledgers, and this app helps me to keep them all in order and correct on a daily basis if I chose to. The features are well thought out and function very nicely. I would recommend this app for anyone even with just a single checking account.

I have a complicated password and 'creatively arranged' I D and had FaceID set up. When that does not work, on top of too many other irritations going into settings to find and copy my data is a step to far. Be advised. Right now, the only thing I like about Banner Bank are the Manager, Assistant Manager and Staff at the Burlington WA branch. I wrote the above months ago. Surprised to see those words here. I have logged on twice this weekend without seeing evidence of an attempted small check deposit two days ago. Don’t know if that went thru. So I’m learning to not like the App. I do not yet know if I trust the bank. I’ve had too many problems with this bank since Banner took over the Lopez Island bank branch which I have used for some 40 years.

Banner bank app
The banner bank app is very easy to use and I have never had any problems trying to figure out how to use the app and/or it’s features. It is very convenient as I often don’t have time to make it into town, and I personally use the app almost every day to check my balances and to make sure there are no strange or unwanted transactions on my account. I have and will continue to recommend the app to others seeking to make dealing with there banking just that much easier! 5 stars!

Pretty good!
This app is pretty easy to use, and it is pretty intuitive! My only complaint is that when you are taking a photo of a check for mobile check deposit, usually I have to retake the photo several times. This is because for some reason when I take a photo, the screen on the app looks all lined up and fine, but then when I see the actual photo taken, the app cuts off a lot of the photo, so I have to retake the photo several times. Other than that, I really enjoy using this app.

Snap deposit won’t work
I keep getting an error message when using the snapshot deposit. I’ve used it before with no issues but it just won’t work even after reinstalling the app. I also don’t like the fact that debits and credits are constantly being rearranged as well as the balance. I’ve upped this from 1 star to 4. Snap deposits are fine now but I still don’t understand how the balance changes between say 9pm to 5am. Then everything still gets rearranged again I just don’t understand it. The balance should always reflect the true balance at that time shouldn’t it? I’m so confused.

Problems with statements
This used to be a great app, but since a recent update certain features no longer work for me. I prefer to use my iPad in landscape view, and now only the first page of my statement shows unless I rotate to portrait view, then I get the whole thing. Also, the statements will not print. My printer is working fine with every other app I have, and used to print my statements just fine. On the plus side, navigating to specific statements is much easier. That was greatly improved, but other functionality was lost. I hope these issues will be addresses in a future update.

Well guys! Now that I got through my own personal battle of getting “locked out” of this app. Not bad. In fact! It’s a very well design app that is becoming very useful to me. Because of its user friendly design. I’m working on building a nest egg that will help reinforce my financial future. Hats off to the men and women working the call center. Your patience and professionalism (daily for about week) guided me through and made it simple to get a password that I could remember. Just don’t forget to close out the browser when resetting your password 🤪

Good app
The basics are spot on! Occasionally glitchy when transitioning from WiFi to cellular data. However, some of the more intricate features are not as intuitive. When I call the bank for help, they insist a thing can be done a certain way, but I can’t seem to make it work in the app (or online). Sometimes I even go to the branch & then the agent has to call Banner online banking for help. So the app could use reverse-engineering from the customer’s perspective rather than having been obviously written by the (very talented) software engineer. Altogether, a solid 4 out of 5!

Love it all but the bill pay
I love the mobile app. I will say I don’t like the change for when my bill pay posts. Previously when I would submit my bill to pay it would deduct on the day I indicated. Now it deducts in advance of the day indicated which can be problematic for those of us who have direct deposit hitting on a Friday... example... previously I could initiate bill pay on Thursday in anticipation of my Friday pay day... now I have to change the date to Friday and it won’t pay until Monday... huge dissatisfaction from my perspective.

My Bank APP
My bank was Skagit Bank which went through a transition to Banner Bank. I was apprehensive to what changes might take place during the transition I can’t even tell you how easy and seamless it has been to have a new bank and APP! Once the staff got me logged onto the APP I was immediately up and rolling! It is user friendly even for a non-tech savvy senior as myself! What a great way to do all my banking while I’m out in other states and away from home! Thank you Banner Bank staff!

Outstanding App and Bank
I’ve been with Banner Bank for 20 years with both personal and business accounts. 99.9% of the time I get everything I’m looking for at Banner and Banner mobile banking. Everything just works. Those few times when I have a concern or special need Banner mobile banking and Banner’s people are responsive, flexible, and accommodating. You couldn’t ask for a better experience or better service, always delivered with a smile.

Very useful, but there is one feature I would like to see added.
Very easy to understand and use, but I would love to see a way to use the detailed list of my accounts like a check book register. For instance, a box to tick once I’ve recorded the entry into my own paper register, this way I don’t miss or double an entry. Also a save button, so all the information is kept after I’ve recorded the entries when balancing my accounts. I really enjoy snapshot deposits and bill pay, I’ll edit to 5 stars when I see those two items added. Thank you.

Good app but could be fantastic!
I would give this app 5 stars if there was a way to get per transaction notifications. Example I make a purchase at 7-eleven and use my Ban Bank Debit card, I receive a message that states a purchase had been pre authorized in the amount of $x.xx. That would not only be a great feature but would add a layer of security! Rhis feature was available on my opt plus Credit Card so I know it can be done! If I am missing this feature, please let me know! I love Banking at Banner Bank and believe you are one of the best banks! Great service, great people! Thanks

Problem free - Years of use.
I have been using this application for several years now and it just plain works great! Once in a great while (2-3 times a year perhaps) when I might try to do a fund transfer between accounts it hangs in mid-process and leaves me wondering if it worked or not but logging off and back on confirmation. I think these events are more likely a result of Internet issues. All in all, a very stable and trustworthy application.

Love my Banner Bank
I am relatively new to Banner Bank so farIt’s been great I recently refinance my home it was so easy! Especially using the mobile app I also opened checking account and so far I love it! It’s so easy to use at your fingertips all the time I’ve even used it to deposit instead of having to go to the bank. By the way my mortgage broker Jaclyn Scotch and the branch and Hayden Idaho are fantastic😊 I will definitely recommend Banner Bank my family and friends

Snapshot Deposit does not work
Update: seems to have resolved after a couple days. No other issues. App is super easy to use and Banner has been a great bank! App used to be great but today snapshot deposit just stopped working. Tried rebooting and also reinstalling. Still does not work. Now stuck with a unusable check because I wrote banner bank mobile deposit on it like you’re supposed to.

The app overall just has a very old look and feeling. It glitches, even has weird screen resolutions sometimes. I have a $1,000+ iPhone and this app is slow and has the appearance of a computer made 2 decades ago. When I deposit cash via ATM or go into the bank to make a deposit I can text ‘bal’ to the bank number right after and recieve my updated balance, but through the app I have to wait a day or two before it even shows I’ve made a deposit. Sometimes the app takes a week to update my balance. One time I even filled up my gas tank because it said I had $60 via the app, the next day I recieved a fee of $30 for going over what I actually had ($40, I put $55 of gas). I click on the search bar and search for a transaction and nothing even happens it stays on the first page, I try the advanced search with filters and nothing happens. I tried looking for a transaction I made years ago to confirm the numbers and I had to manually click the next page button over 100 times to find it. Overall it’s just needs a big update.

difficult, glitchy
Like I said, the app is simple at *times*. If I need a quick check or anything like that, but the app itself can be so glitchy, and at times hard to navigate. I’ve had to search for over half an hour for certain features and I’m commonly extremely good at navigating new apps but this one is just made so inconveniently. I’ve also had several glitches, things not showing up, not being able to log in, features disappearing, etc. I wouldn’t really recommend unless you were simply using a banking app to check how much you have in your account.

Banner bank review
I use this app on a weekly basis and it allows me to keep my finances under control. There are several things you can do with this app Like snapshot when you hAve to deposit a check and cannot get to the bank. You can also set up auto pay to your creditors which free up Time in your day and help you remember paying when you forget. There’s a lot more to this app but these are the two I use and grateful one can do with this app.

All-in-one banking!
I’ve been using Banner Bank’s mobile app for a while now and find it to be mostly intuitive and user-friendly: I actually enjoy interacting with the darn thing. Zelle’s baked-in accessibility – once I found where it is located – is a nice touch, (although, it appears this is a relatively common feature with other institutions now) and helped me become familiar with that functionality. My only gripe is that I wish they would bring back the ability to view one’s combined balances across more than one deposit account “in a snapshot” from the main dashboard or while viewing the details of a different deposit account. (If there’s a way to activate that currently, I’m unaware.) Great bank! Great app! Great job!

Difficult to use
This app is extremely difficult to use. When I apply principal to my loan, I have to clearly write it out, and I’m limited in characters as well as unable to apply anything other than dollars no cents. In addition, even when I have clearly marked principal payments, they don’t go to principal and I have to spend literally hours on the phone trying to convince the bank to apply the extra payments on my room to principal instead of prepaid interest not yet accrued. It is difficult to see how the balance changes, and despite it being a home loan applying payments to principal frequently gets miscategorised as “Books.” T

I have had a checking account with Banner since I relocated to Hillsboro, OR in October 2022. I Relocated from Austin, TX at that time. I live nearby in a senior living apartment and no longer drive. My sister lives nearby and recommended Banner Bank to me. I have been very pleased with the service provided, as well as the friendly Helpful young employees who have made going to Banner Bank a pleasant experience. I find the App to be a user friendly way to make deposits with the ease of not having to be driven, yet it is easy to access and quite a helpful tool. Pretty good
This app does almost everything I need it too. Only issue is I have to open it twice to be able to use the pin function to login. Always brings user username/password fields up the first time, so I have to close the app, then open it again to get the pin option. I feel pin access was created for login convenience, but it’s not that convenient if you have to open the app twice to use it. Only reason for 4 stars. App is great otherwise!

Maintenance every night at 7 or 8
Every night! At the worse time, people out to dinner at that time wouldn’t it be the time people are Venmo or Zelle you for their half of dinner or something? Or God forbid have your friend Zelle you some money to catch an Uber home because you have too much to carry but once again it’s during maintenance time so no funds are transferred and although I have the funds the bank keeps dening charges and my transfer day after I still have pending denied transactions that took a hold on my bank but they didn’t process the money transfer still. I had to walk home with all my packages about 10 blocks 🤬

we think this app works great! numerous accounts, same bank & easy to maneaver between. clear, concise visuals. When I have a problem it’s usually my error. everyone who helps on the phone is kind, considerate & oh so understanding while putting my issues to rest! plus Even tho I try not to use the ATMs, I do love that my bank foots the bill! Issues w banner online
Generally decent, not a tech lover, often using by necessity and duress. Definitely not pleased when middle of night I go to log into banner bank due to needing to assist a family member w funds and site tells me “it doesn’t recognize my device”. A teller at the brick and mortar facility next morning said system randomly does that. Now that’s about as bright an idea as an open flame at a gasoline spill, and as dumb as a people letting their kids ride bikes and boards without helmets. Just the opinion of an old guy, with little love of tech and no patience with stupidity.

Provides Basic Functions
Fairly reliable and provides good functions. If updated, I’d love to see the system be able to remember expenses and categories and ask if you want to categorize every expense the same company/vendor or not. Then remember it if you select to categorize all the same. Also, for our non-profit account and I think my business accounts, I cannot categorize expenses. I would love to see that feature to make life easier.

very good, just one suggestion
very good. The app has a clear interface. I suggest, though, that because people differ, that you add a "walk through" video. I find that the interface matches my expectations. For those whose expectations are somewhat different, you should probably make a walk through video, similar to "unboxing" videos that familiarize people with physical products before they use them. Overall, a very good job as it is.

What an improvement
Now I can make bank deposit from my desk, which takes two minutes instead of going to he bank. Because my branch was closed going to the new branch now takes an hour, if the traffic is not too bad. Now if the bank could figure out how I can get $500 without using a ATM or going to the bank life would be complete.

TL;DR — put your money anywhere else. I’ll split this review into two parts, one for the app and one for the bank: 1. The app: It’s very outdated and buggy. I use the check deposit feature and it is very buggy (ie, freezes all the time or won’t let me type in the check amount). Every other bank app I use is better, and since Banner closed their branch near me, I have to use the app all the time. 2. I’ve never had such inconsistent service. For example, I had several instances of fraud on my debit card, and they took weeks to settle the issue. And they did so with no sense of urgency. The customer service is also very poor — long hold times, unhelpful staff who cannot answer basic questions (such as: what is my foreign transaction fee). I signed up for the bank way back and have kept using it because of the inconvenience of changing banks. But some recent Interactions have tipped the scales and I am moving elsewhere.

Ive been banking with banner it has been good it’s just that the app is a little outdated and I don’t like that I can’t send money through Zelle when it’s nigh time also Zelle isn’t too accessible through the Home Screen it’s a little hard to find but it’s other than that its still good enough that I can deal with it and I will continue to use it just thought I should give feedback to the developers

This app makes me do less business with Banner Bank. I get locked out almost every time I try to login. This last time because my password - which I wrote down so it should have been right - wasn’t accepted and when I pressed “send me a link” for my password I never got one. I guess I then tried too many times to get it to send because my account was disabled. I had to wait to call in and get reactivated. Something like this always happens. I hate logging in from my App so much that I use my other accounts because I like the app more. Seriously. I hate this app.

Needs help
While the app’s features and functions are awesome, I find that more than half the time the app simply wont load, so I have to try about three or four times, shutting down the app and reopening it, to get it to work. I’ve heard this from other users, as well...otherwise, ease of use is excellent and online banking is so convenient—especially love new snapshot deposit (though, it sometimes takes longer than it should to post to my account during business days/times. Once took full 24 hours)

Major discrepancies and inaccuracies
This app has caused me to overdraft multiple times, wreaking much havoc in my life. I’m not talking a minor inaccuracy, as I’ve found that it’s usually wildly off by $300+. I was told by my local branch that I should not “trust” the app between the hours of 8pm and 12am. This is ridiculous, as that is when I reconcile my account and I feel I should be able to trust my balance 24 hours a day. Seems like these days, you should be able to depend on your banking app to be as accurate as possible MOST of the time. Definitely not the case here and after 17+ years of being a customer, this has caused me to think about changing banks.

Could be a lot better
The app always shows me wrong balances, and the pending transactions take FOOREVEER to process and show on my account. I also get constant emails about how my password was incorrectly imputed when I misspell my password one time, and it’s annoying as hell. I get that’s just Banner Bank being big on their security and all, which is great, but it’s annoying their customers emailing about a wrong password every single time. It’s also annoying how I can’t ask Siri on my iPhone what my balance is because the app doesn’t have that feature with Siri yet. It would make checking my balance SO MUCH EASIER. If I could rate zero stars I would.
