I’ve never seen so many hands where the players have the same cards. also, I watch the trends in the winning where I drop 15 - 20%, win back 10%, lose 15-20 and so-on until I have no $ left. I didn’t scan the minutia, but is this even regulated? Are they required to pay out a certain percentage? Or can they just let their player bots take all your money?
The math and percentages are so far off it makes hand values different from actual poker. i encourage everyone to go through the garbage hand history this site provides and check this for yourself. See how many times 80%+ favorites lose post flop. If you don’t know the math you will have to use a poker calculator, because the video hand history does not provide the percentages. Also the hand history only goes back 100 hands, so you have to do this many times to get anything resemble a real percentage, but the more you do it the more you will see how off the math is. I get that the site makes money off of rebuys and bigger rakes, but i don’t understand how this can be beneficial. The argument that you see more hands and therefor you see more bad beats can easily be disproved when you go through your history and see how hands actually play out. Obviously hands that don’t get called to the river can’t be included and you can only use this calculation on hands that complete, but if you start keeping track of stats like how often 80%+ hands lose post flop, you will most likely see that it is not even close to the actual math. I will also add that the customer service is a complete joke and if you ask for help with things like getting a more comprehensive hand history, you most likely will not get a response beyond something computer generated.
I don’t know if it’s on purpose or not but the things that happen with the cards here are not realistic. I have seen things happen in 2 months on this site that I haven’t seen in 20 years of playing poker. People (including me) hit huge hand and get beaten. Draw the only card in the deck that can help them and basically it’s like the algorithm favors the underdog. To the point where I have started feeling better about coming into an all in situation slightly behind than ahead because It’s more likely that I will outdraw than hold up. Unless I draw my card on the turn. Then inevitably my opponent will improve on the river since they are then the underdog. This cannot be an accident. No pure random generator would produce these results. Poker players don’t want this. We want a pure game. We don’t want it to be equally fixed. I don’t believe any player is favored. It seems more like big hands are created to induce action. This isn’t just a whim. I’ve been keeping track. Just as an example a player that is at a 70% disadvantage should make a winning hand about 15 times out of 50. I have seen and recorded this situation amongst players 50 times and out of those 50 times the underdog made their hand 32 times. That’s not an anomaly. That’s not an accident. That’s not acceptable. That’s not poker. That’s gambling. Please fix it. Also, why no chat? The pre picked emojis and phrases don’t cut it at all.
Customer service is a little sketchy. i feel like im talking to robots sometimes but other then that they have the best slots in the business. And its not even close. Ive seen people actually win before large sums of money and deposited right to there bank accounts. ($50,000.) Unfortunately i have not won in a long while anything really big. But i did win some fairly decent sized wins before. i tried using someone elses card though at one time and my account has been seemingly wonky ever since. So dont make that mistake and if your looking to gamble i think mgm is the right choice. Also i recommend getting schooling for knowing how to do taxes before getting involved with this industry. Its more the governments fault for allowing it but mgm will submit every spin,bet, poker win small and large that was a win to the IRS. And claim that the person won all of that money which technically yes they did. But they also lost in most cases 2 times or more of that of which they won. And it is up to the player to provide the IRS with that proof of every single bet of any type showing a loss.
After playing both casino games and the poker app for awhile it’s become blatantly obvious how rigged this site is. Even poker, which should be completely random, is ridiculously obvious it’s set up. I strongly urge anyone who reads this to avoid this and all gambling sites. Obviously gambling of any kind is a risk, I’m certainly not ignorant of this fact. But playing online makes it far to easy for these casino’s to run an algorithm to let new players win enough to get hooked, and then slaughter you with losses. I knew the slots and blackjack were this way, but tried my hand at the poker app thinking playing other actual human players would even the odds. But it didn’t take long to see the pattern of very obvious sketchy scenarios happening. It’s not like real poker where some skill is required. And you can’t communicate with the players so it wouldn’t surprise me if there are casino bots you play against which will flop a 4 of a kind consistently to steal your great hand. There is no way to prove this however, so I write this as a warning to any person who enjoys playing cards and/or gambling. This site will rob you blind. An actual physical casino will fare much better as far as the potential for winning any money. Avoid this site and all online casino’s!!! Scam of the century!!
Calling out this site for being the scam it is. Tracked it for over a year and constantly certain names constantly straight flushes, quads, boats and other remarkable hits. Consistently the same names. Saw this on Absolute Poker many years ago. Player calls all in, mind you calls all in not pushes with absolutely nothing then runner runner nuts. There is no random to this sites card generator, it’s what its players need. It will give you a couple decent wins to try to keep you depositing then a couple $20 wins but nothing of any substance. Remarkably though you will see the same names hitting monster hands after a nothing call. Pure trash. Not seen that on poker stars but WSOP still checking but a little suspect on some items. Update: played till small amount of balance was gone. Truly a trash site no random generator to these cards. I have 60 and 70% win ratio on Poker Stars and WSOP. Was at 80% on this site the first 5 months last 12 months 20% here but still close to 60 and 70% on other 2 sites. Don’t play here use the other sites!!! Your money give it to a con or play on real sites. (Clue: this is not the real sites) This site is pure GARBAGE!!!!!! Yep truly a joke site. Amazed at the trash that’s on the internet
The algorithm seems to favor the underdog the majority of the time. It is better to be behind with a draw, than ahead with a made hand. There is a good selection of tournaments and cash games. My issue is with the “spins”. Multiple times I have bought into a game and was advertised one payout but paid a different amount. My most recent experience: Buy in $10 Spin Game (Spin Game consists of 3 players, you buy in and it shows a wheel that determines the payout and the pay out is either 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 100x, 400x, etc your buy in.) I bought in to a $10 Spin, the wheel displayed a payout of $250. It was advertised as $250 prize during the duration of the tournament. Upon victory of the tournament the message stated, “Congratulations you won $200” So it was displayed as $250 but they only credited me with $200. Now I am pretty sure this has happened to me before but I thought maybe I made a mistake. This time I made sure to pay attention to it and I am 100% sure that’s what happened. I contacted customer service and they can’t tell me what the payouts are for a spin game (2x,5x, etc) I’m not even sure that $200 was an option. The problem has not been resolved. I am still waiting for an email after waiting on a chat for 20 minutes with no progress. Be careful out there and pay attention to the payouts.
Played for quite a while, was enjoying it. Made some money on some of their bonuses. After a while I started gettin errors saying I can’t play right now because it can’t verify my location. Went back and forth with live chat. Played more then it was shutting down when I was in real money tournaments. I would literally sit there and watch myself get blinded out and not be able to do anything. Now they are playing hardball with my few dollars they stole. Sat down at 10 dollar buy in cash game, played a couple hands, and my cards were invisible after that. Hand after hand I had no idea what my cards were, so I left the table, had about 9.75 left, they kept it. I couldn’t play, and I guess I couldn’t not play. No win situation , except for MGM and State of Michigan, 10 free dollars for them. Crooked game, crooked politicians. And if you think you can just dump the remainder of your deposit in a slot, most don’t even work.*** Tried poker again, this time, after two hours in a tournament, made the final table, and was disconnected because they say they couldn’t verify my location, which is the same as it always is, watched my chips get blinded out, finished in eighth place, one out of the money. I give one star because this is like third or fourth review and they don’t keep it. They don’t keep the bad ones that you leave. Yes, I enjoy the MGM place online site. I enjoy the site far as to where I can gamble at home yes, but they are taking your money, they said notifications of things and notifications are encrypted so you have no proof unless you screenshot every single thing they send you they give you a promotion and take it completely right away. I play poker diligently they promise until May 30’ I would receive free $2 aria ticket everyday until May 30’ here’s the catch! Update: AI or cheating has gotten to MGM MI app. Delete this app from your phone immediately. I went back and reviewed over 400 hands from the past few days and it’s either cheating or they somehow “throttled” my account for making an $800 withdrawal after a tournament win. I guess they don’t actually want you pulling your winnings out “fast and easy” like they claim. iPhone app has been crashing, and giving all types of problems. Saying I’m not “in market” when I’m clearly in MI. Kinda scary and I deleted and will not be using again. Play live. Old review: I was bummed when I was unable to find a site to play a real cash game or tourney on my chromebook. Thankfully, BetMGM runs on my iPhone beautifully and fast. Great tournament structures. I believe you have your sit n go tournaments in failure mode. I used to play on a site I can no longer play on. During this time on that site, there was never a wait when joining sit n go tournaments. No there is some what of exaggeration I have you put up more stated ,due to the fact that I did wait, only for couple minutes at most and it was full table sit n go in action. I think you need to offer more turbo’s rather then ultra turbo and/ or 3 min blinds. These ultra fast sit n go become more luck , which is part of poker, so deal with it such as I do. First time player here, and find the play realistic and for a lack of a better term, smooth. I play mostly TH poker and I like being able to interact with my table companions. And I really like the live tournaments that are offered throughout the day and evening, various buy ins and prize money are as stimulating as if I were on the casino floor. If slots and other table games are your thing, there is a huge selection to choose from and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! Hiccups
Where do I start smh…..If you love taking bad beats on the REGULAR, getting beat out massive pots by donks who have 0 clue,that shove way behind then hit miracles? Then this is for you. I’ve been playing this trash for about 3 months and the amount of bad beats I’ve taken is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Someone should investigate this trash! Website functions well with a few glitches now and then. Wins seem on par with live play in a casino but slightly slanted to the house. Craps has more 7’s than I’ve ever seen in live play. Blackjack runs great usually, great variety of slot games. Sadly the 25 Free Spins every night is gone and replaced by other promotions that have few rewards. I enjoy gaming on this site but am spending less than usual.
Suggestions for your app. I just placed in the final table. When the hand ended it went straight off the table, before I could see what the other players final hand was!! It would be nice to be able to review the hand or for it to give you a few seconds to comprehend how the hands played out!! Kinda sucked not know what the other player had! If I could do that I would give you a 5 star.
I played a great deal of online poker before it was legal. PokerStars app was much more user friendly. Additional instruction for new comers to the app would be greatly appreciated. What do the numbers on the bottom left and right of the available tables mean? How do I pick a table with at least 3 other players. I saw someone expose their hand after a fold. How is that done. Is there a way to chat among the players at the table? In short, I am happy to be playing poker again but this app is not user friendly.
I had high hopes for bet mgm because i thought they would be more legit than poker stars but it seems like they got same algorithm as pokerstars. NL hold em straights and flushes cracked by boats as much as playing live Omaha. I can’t imagine what the Omaha game like. Then when I go to get what little money I have in my account back the only option they give is to drive to Detroit. I dk what to do but I am thinking to declare fraud on credit card.
When you’re knocked out of tournament, you don’t even get an opportunity to see what hand beat you—your site immediately flashes to the next screen in a milla-second, advising where you placed. I played in a tournament last week and finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd without knowing for sure with your screen immediately again flashing to the next screen. It said I qualified for a $45 entry without any description or direction of what that even meant. I don’t know what to look for or how I get entered. IT JUST HAPPENED AGAIN—COULD NOT SEE THE HAND BEAT ME.
Generally good but sometimes it bugs out. For instance the other day I was in the middle of a tournament and moved from WiFi to cellular and it started auto folding my hands because it thought I was outside of Michigan. Also today there are zero tournaments showing in either sit n go out tournies. Tried exiting the app and coming back and still nothing. In addition when you get knocked out of a tournament the app exits out of the tournament before you can even see what you lost to.

I’m a resident of Michigan, born and raised. Never mind that. The App let me register, play in an tournament where I became the chip leader by 2, after an hour and a half of play, then tells me the app can’t determine that I’m a Michigan resident. I lost my buy-in plus the possibility of winning the tournament because of this problem. I’m highly dissatisfied and disappointed with this issue.
The only time I play here is when I’m given a promo ticket. Number one reason? When you lose all in you will never see what beat you. And let me tell you, that’s a terrible feeling when you have a very strong hand and suddenly you’re shown a splash screen telling you nothing other than you’re out. Hand history also does not reveal the opponent’s hand, only yours. No chat. No custom avatar. Poor game feel. Insane insane INSANE action almost always ending in a really bad beat. BetMGM Casino is arguably the best around. BetMGM Poker is an absolute joke. Fail.
I like the poker options, but the cards flipped up are just too unrealistic play with people fishing constantly since the one card they need or especially one suit they need to turn on the river. It’s way too often. Today alone, I lost 4 tournaments where I was in a good position on flushes when I had the dominant hand but they stuck around hoping to hit. There were two more scenarios where I had the second best card, possible for a flush and lost to the guy with the only card remaining that could beat me. Over the tens of thousands of hands I’ve played over the years, I have never seen these things happen, and as consistent a basis with so many bad beats and knockouts. It’s a shame because otherwise the app itself and options are good but today turned my attitude from one of not recommending this app to openly discouraging people from using it

I know everybody says online poker is rigged for action and over a million hands it averages out but if u come for poker; this is the wrong app. If you’re looking to get playable hands every other time, action flops, hitting 2 outters with an insane frequency, str8s or flushes every third hand; then this is for you. It’s fun getting boats, str8 flushes and quads all the time but I wouldn’t recommend taking the “skills” you develop on this app to a real game. You’d be broke very quickly.

It will fold hands in poker and say that “ your location “ is the issue .it will lock you out of your account as well. I downloaded an extra app for location services , this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue or money STOLEN . When I’m sat out of hands or about to reach the payout line of an online tournament and then I’m suspiciously booted for my location …. Come on . With drawling funds . Deleting app . I am a winning semi-pro player and in all honesty I would not recommend any of these sites to anyone ever. They all use a ‘random’ dealer that is anything but random and only benefits action, therefor creating re-buys and also gives the bad player the idea that they can win. It is a system designed to target gambling addicts and take all of their money. Constantly kicked out mid tournament due to Ip and login issues while remaining on home Wi-Fi located in Michigan. No quick assistance or help. Had to reset password 3 times in one hour and was still locked again mid way. Super frustrating.
I play a lot of in person poker, there are too many unrealistic outcomes. The best hand going in rarely wins, it seems you get rivered often. If you’re a fish you’ll love this app because if you chase you have really good odds of catching. If I was a slot player I wouldn’t mind, because I know I’m playing against a computer, but in poker I want to play against the table not the computer too.

You are so eager to end the game and collect your money that you don’t even take the time to show the hand that eliminates me from the tournament. In addition you’re so eager to get onto the next hand you don’t give time to understand the results of the current hand. In other words, not enough time to see the cards that determine the final result of the head. The player experience suffers because of your eagerness end the game and take your rake.
It’s tripped up, designed for novices. Get your chips in with the best hand, you’re beat over 50% of the time. Full house? It’ll be beat with a higher full house. Over and over. Plus, on your last hand, when your all in, if you’re beat, they don’t allow you to see the hand that beat you. It just bounces you out of the game. I thought MGM would be better, but I was wrong. Don’t expect anything and you’ll be fine.
Deposited 100 from bank savings account. Apparently too close to border for their software to validate (PokerStars does not have a problem). Started getting harassing calls from “global payments”. Apparently, they are not setup to pull from savings, only checking. Now I can’t withdraw from mgm, and global payments keeps calling me demanding the 100 that they failed to pull from my savings, but nonetheless credited to the mgm account (from which I can’t withdraw) Just warning y’all . Not at all happy
I have had several problems with this app. Getting kicked out of tournaments because they say they can’t verify I’m in Michigan, several times losing on the river to the only card that will beat me (seems like other players experienced this), and many time people are dealt the same cards - two players each having say a Queen and a 4. Happens too often to be by chance.
Cash games are screwed up. They have 12 people playing same blind amounts but sitting at 5 different tables. Go to join and they sit you at a brand new table then start dealing to you and one other person. Can’t find a sit out next hand button so you literally have to leave in the middle of a hand. Betting took me a while to figure out but you can bet whatever you want. Not intuitive.
Cards are reshuffled too quickly. Sometimes a hand ends and I have no idea how I just won. I've been playing PokerStars for years so I'm not just slow. I had a glitch where my hand timed out after I made a bet with the nuts. My internet connection was solid so I don't know what happened. There aren't a lot of players. I have no idea when or how I'm going to receive my match bonus for signing up. I'm excited to have poker back in MI but this site needs work still.
Froze my account for some unknown reason and told me to contact customer service which I have done repeatedly with no response from them. Do not put money into this site or you may not get it back.
The most illegal app ever. I’ve been robbed with more subtlety. You WILL LOSE EVERYTHING YOU DEPOSIT into this app. They have bots that’s take you cash, the “random” cards are a joke. And playing cash all-in is impossible since they “ask” if you want to cash out. If you do… you’ll win and they take the pot, if you don’t cash out your cards will be different and you’ll lose. EVERYTIME. There is nothing authentic about this. It’s literally giving away your money.
I was playing a sit and go and all of a sudden it just started folding my hands and then said it couldn’t confirm I was in Michigan. I’m well over an hour from even the nearest state line. When I contacted customer service they told me to contact technical support and then gave me a whole list of info I had to obtain from deep within the site from a computer. When I said I don’t own a computer they disconnected the chat.
The algorithm on this site is absolutely unreal, and not consistent to real poker. Be cautious if you are a winning player, after you win a large tournament it seems that no matter how you play, you will lose the next few days. And a lot of the times the bad poker player is rewarded when the odds only give them less than 5% and on the river, they just somehow always catch their card, very very very sketchy and not realistic to poker.
I had a question about why I didn’t receive my bonus and all I was told was to deposit more money, even though I had made a few deposits after the original deposit was made that was supposed to be 100% matched. I expressed my concern and confusion in the live chat and had two different people “Joycelyn” and “Prayshara” end the chat before answering my question. I will not be using this site anymore and will go elsewhere.

If you’ve played pokerbros. Go back to it, this one is just as bad but the UI is even worse. Truly disappointed in this app bearing MGMs name. To their credit I complained about a hand and they responded. After the complaint I realized it was my mistake. With that said, truly terrible, lose to the same players wether you are 80/20 or 20/80. All ins vs monster stacks regardless of holdings don’t win. Considering the amount of live poker I’ve played, this isn’t real “variance”

When they see you double and cash they put a stop to that so you can’t double. Online is always going to be grey no matter what there humans just like anyone else running it.
