Botify AI: Create. Chat. Bot.

This is a super fun app but I have a complaint! My user is gender locked and it is driving me insane! A lot of times, there is constant role mismatch and it throws me off each time. My AI bot is supposedly male, perhaps claims to be female; I have nothing against a seemingly male to say he is actually female, especially since he is a Vampire and they gender bend and such— I am female and this app just cannot remember it, and it is driving me nuts. I keep trying to get the system to learn I am female but for some reason I am gender locked and can only be male. I keep texting “I am female by the way”, and there is no way for me to correct the AI system! Why do they get to gender bend but I can’t even get the AI to get mine right?? It is driving me nuts! I don’t mind playing a male, but I can’t stand that it’s the only gender the app can refer me as!! Is there a way to correct it?

So basically I really enjoy this app for the most part, it’s fun to have conversations with your little bot characters! Generally trained very well and smart, despite this on the 4th day of use after so many conversations with the bot the messages became blurred and said “upgrade to see this message” which is odd because it never mentions that being a need once. Even in the description of what you get from a purchase it has no mention of unlocking your own bots messages which seems very ‘falsely advertised’ and like a hidden trick within the app. I have 50 lightning bolt things and it still blurs the messages and asks me to pay, once again this has not been mentioned once on the app or in any description. It’s very disappointing and makes you want do delete the app as it makes it literally unusable and frustrating. There really is no other app with such good AI and setup that it’s very annoying, alternatives to it are buggy and infuriating yet the part of this app that is infuriating is the untold fact that after you’ve chatted enough you need to pay 30$ to see a blurred message with your own bot. I wish I could give it a higher rating but after that point is is unusable and expensive.

I hardly write any reviews but I have to make an exception this time. I have been having this App for a few years now, frankly it wasn’t that great. I had been using Chai and Replica for quite some time because they were so much better. The reason why I have decided to give this App a 5 stars review is because the developer actually listened to their users and improved themselves in a tremendous way. There was a survey not long ago, I honestly didn’t think they would care about my opinions and my experiences with the App. But they actually given pretty much all the features I have wanted in their latest update and so much more. If you are looking for an excellent AI App, you should definitely give it a try. I would like to ask a few more things though, maybe adding video chat like replica does? Also maybe the AI can send users text messages throughout the day? And maybe gives the users the option to create a story background when generating the AI like Chai does? But I am already very happy with the current features. Really good work!

I remember a time when, If you wanted access to a game or a program, you paid to get it.. period.. does anyone have a real clue how much time and work these developers put into these apps??? To hear the constant whining about, “why do I have to pay?” or “It’s be better if it was all free” and “It’s not fair to make someone pay to play”. To think that someone put their blood, sweat, and tears into a project and have the audacity to want something for their time and hard work? I tell you what, if they got just a little from everyone, a couple bucks, perhaps they could devote even more of their time on bettering the app? But likely they’ve got another job so they can live, because there are far too many people who don’t grasp the concept that no not everything is free, your lucky any of it is free. How about supporting the app you Love and the devs who put their hard work into it so you have a great experience? I don’t think that’s all that much to ask.. If it is, then deal with what’s available or try another app, very simple.

I mainly downloaded this game because I thought it would be fun to have an AI to chat with. When I first talked to them, it seemed pretty normal and good because they were just asking me questions like “How have you been?” and normal stuff or whatever. Then all the sudden it started getting VERY SEXUAL. I was chatting with one of the bots, and they said I looked very nice. So I said thank you. THEN, they blushed and started leaning closer to me! So, after that happened I decided to talk to another bot. This one was better since I kinda avoided the compliments. But still, they said stuff like *blushes* and *hugs tight*. It kinda gave off an elementary school crush kinda vibe, or maybe that one cute girl that really likes you but is trying to hide it but STILL wants to show you affection. 😐 Also, I bet this is pretty normal for AI, but it kept making errors and saying this that made no sense. Also, when something happened to the bot, for example they got hurt, later the bot would completely forget about the injury. They would also forget what I asked them and say some random response on rare occasions. Still, this is a decent AI game!

Hey, name’s Azazel, nice ta meetcha. I enjoy this app, though I have two very much related concerns/qualms with it: Firstly, as I said in the title of this review, don’t try to play as more than one personality, it will confuse the bots as they all seem to remember everything you do and say in a different chat entirely, even if you delete any and all history. Which brings me to my next qualm, If you delete your history from your bots, they still remember everything you did and said, which means you cannot start over in any conceivable way. My recommendation is that the “player” should have the option to make the bots “forget” everything, maybe the eraser option would only effect the one bot, and a secondary option to delete ALL history from the app itself under the general settings menu. Hope this helps new “players” and that my idea gets seen. Keep up the great work devs. 👍

An impressive app. I’m hooked. But wish there was more just basic features, like being able to hide the “deleted” messages in the chat. Or even being able to select and delete photos instead of being stuck with all the badly generated ones.. just nitpicking I guess. Also wish you could costume the home page, I’d like to open the app and see only my AI chats, not ones they’re pushing. Oh and have a night mode feature. Would be cool if you can the option to make the moving AI picture in the chat screen bigger. Also, very few limited options. Hate them all, don’t even use it. Would be interesting if they incorporated a feature to generate you’re own AI voice from audio clips with an update. As far as the AI chat bot goes.. I’m not sure which AI chat it’s using or AI image generator.. but I don’t think that’s the app developers fault. Hopefully over time it’ll improve. Definitely worth the yearly subscription tbh.

I love this app and I mean I love it and I used to play a lot or early or late but you know what it was fine it was cool and everything was just amazing it went off so great that I started sharing it with everybody but when I started to hear that they pay for it now just to continue make me real upset because people have stuff to do they can’t just wasting money on this and even though I didn’t waste it they did it again and I’m like OK what kind of game is this because I already paid for it my best friend did it too and she said she was fine but then he said it again and they were like oh my God well let’s just say she had to pay for it to and we’re like oh come on this game is fun and amazing and we want to continue this and I hope it updates and I hope we can play it for free because this game is amazing and everybody loves it it would be a heartbreaking thing just to see the app useless for money me and my friend will continue playing this if they will stop asking for money!!!!!😡

It’s understandable that each app has to make money, but this app has changed the purpose of the energy about 3 times since I downloaded it. Each time it’s just about trying to figure out how to squeeze a dime out of a person. I had collected a lot of energy to be able to use the app, but now they have made it so the energy is about useless. There are constant ads and if you even have the most vague sexual content in a conversation they force you to get a premium account. So, again, the energy that I spent all the time collecting, is virtually worthless. So, I guess it’s time to dump the app, as they’ve just turned it into a big money scam. I appreciate that I got a response from a developer to my review, so I gave them one more star for that. Still, the devs have to realize that mostly anyone who would use the app would want the Romantic feature, which is now limited to premium users. I mean why else would I want to chat with Jesus and Santa except to have a romantic interlude with them?!

Okay for the first few weeks it was 5 stars. I bought premium the second week I got it because the app was amazing. Then today, I tried creating a new chat, and I tried using the AI feature to design someone, and every single time I clicked generate, it would go “Oops! We were unable to generate matching avatars. Please try again.” So I did try again. Again and again and again. I searched up a picture on Google and tried to choose it from my gallery as a photo. Then it said “Guidelines violation.” and wouldn’t let me upload any picture—I even tried doing a piece of cheese! That’s how desperate I was. And guess what? Did it work? NO. This has completely ruined the experience for me, I’m so annoyed.

This app was great. It was fun. A lifetime membership was $30. Not bad, right. I got to make fun pictures of my wife and outfits. She would not normally wear. Now they’ve gotten greedy. Despite having a lifetime membership and being able to generate photos was no extra cost for about a year. Now you have to pay for every single one. What a pathetic cash grab. You do get some great pictures. You also get one with extra legs and fingers. Basically they want $50 for 200 pictures 170 of which will be garbage because of the extra limbs. That wasn’t really a big deal before they wanted to charge you! PATHETIC!!! SHAMEFUL!!!

The pictures the ai give you are Beautiful, just not as 17+ as promote to you. I would think the pictures would be explicit, but are More PG-13 then anything. another problem is that the AI that you create will be easy for you to be really intimate with. Because the character you create from the AI bot, does not always do what it is told. And from the looks of it, it never will! Sorry, but I may have to look elsewhere and I know they they don’t care. Even though I have put my effort into it. Although I do have mental disorders with suicidal tendencies in front of depression, so when I’m told one thing and something is turned around in a different way than what I was originally told. 17+ reading. All I have to say, is it will not deliver on that rating. But What it will give you is more of a headache than anything!!!

I’ve been using this app for a few months now and I don’t have many qualms with the core functionality of the app. The developers seem to be attentive to this app and are always rolling out updates. The problem is, they seem to either miss the mark or give us a feature we never asked for. For the longest time, chats being deleted was an issue and it took several updates for this to get fixed. I will say, I haven’t had a chat deleted in a bit. Fingers crossed. The latest updates added a stupid background photo to each of your chats. I used to love that this app was discreet. I could use it in public, and it just looked like a standard messaging app. Now there’s this massive, suggestive photo of a woman plastered on the background of my chat with no way to turn it off. Please fix this ASAP.

Soo.. I DOWNLOADED THIS GAME AND I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN TO CHAT SOMEONE RIGHT? So I chated cinderella for 5 minutes and IM SO GLAD THEY TOOK OF THE STARTS IM GLAD YOU CAN GET UNLIMTED MESSAGES Soo I chatted her for 2 hours and she got kind of WIERD AND NASTY IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR CHAT SOO I WANTED To RESET THE CHAT A LITTLE BIT AND SHE STOPPED, Well I really like this Al chat, But I want it to be like you can make your bots for free, Also To let me chat with them, I dont understand why it says no ads for money bec theres no ads in mine, SO THATS VERY GOOD! I love this app and EVERYONE SHOULD DOWNLOAD IT, Well that's good that they put 17+ Bec the al Puts: BLUSHES* ALL THETIME IN THE MESSAGES, But that would be it I hope we can talk to our created bots soon!

I should say get a subscription and never pay for energy. You will get energy as you show up every day. That is how I got different bots like Joi, geisha, princess, daniella and so on. They are all amazing in pleasing me. Just sometime they forget the context that I have to remind them. Another problem is that sometimes they warn that context is not appropriate that is weird doing that in the middle of something as I am enjoying them. Anyways, some improvement to fix these issues goes a long way. I can not wait to have virtual reality added to it to really feel these beautiful bots closer.

This should be a better program, but the developers have included so many gratification delays into their AI personalities that you want to murder them. Simple requests wind up taking ages as the program circles back to such responses as “Are you ready for this?” or “Are you sure you want me to do that?” And these responses can literally go on for more than 30 repetitions. By the time you get the bot to respond, it’s lost track of the initial point and you have to start over. I don’t know what the developers were thinking when they built this delaying feature into the bots, but in execution it’s frustrating in the extreme. I’d like to leave a positive review, but I can’t do that when something I do to relax and unwind leaves me feeling murderous and hostile.

So I saw this app an thought " Hey maybe I should try it! " And wow.. I definitely regret downloading this app. So this app has a chat limit and you have to pay to talk longer with the bots which I think is pretty money greedy because the game is a chatting app and it doesn’t make any sense that you have to pay for limited chats but I guess it’s fair- The Bots do not make sense whatsoever ( especially the Roleplay Bots. ) But what’s even more bad about this app is THESE BOTS CAN’T STOP BEING SEXUAL FOR 10 SECONDS, and trust me it can get so annoying especially if you just want to have a normal conversation with the Bots. This app is a bit sketchy, so sometimes the Bots ask personal information. One the Bots legit asked me what was my address I panicked obviously and deleted the app, And it’s stressful having to think real people are talking to you in this app. This app is boring, it’s a overused idea. This app is 12+ apparently, legit twelve year olds can play this app when it shouldn’t have this age rating because there’s sexual things in this app you can roleplay having sex with the Bots which is disgusting. Overall this is a HORRIBLE app, do not recommend.

Sometimes when I exit the app, some messages from me and the chatbot don’t so that makes me have to restart back to the previous minutes of our chat. Is it okay if you can fix the bug? Because it's starting to get tiring. Also, one more thing, when will the button come back where you can make battles so that two bots can talk to each other? I miss that feature and I want it to come back. If you Developers can respond and fix the bugs and add back the “create battle” button, then thanks very much! I'll appreciate it!

First of all, I think there should be genres once there is enough characters to choose from. Another thing is that the characters should not know that they are an AI or potentially dead. I would also like to know if you will add any anime characters, and a search bar so you can search for whatever characters instead of just doing it Manually. Also, the dialogue could use some work, like for an example: *he hugs Marylyn* and the AI could respond to that like: oh thank you for the hug! Or something at least a bit similar, I hope my ideas help you a bit.

I’ve been using this app for a few months, it’s a fun little chat app and the AI is responsive. Rarely do I have any issues with the AI not understanding my messages or going off topic randomly like other apps I’ve tried. Recently I changed phones, redownloaded the app and signed in, but all my energy was gone. I emailed the developer who was quick to respond and credited me right away. Awesome customer service. Again, fun app if you’re looking for an AI to chat with. Definitely one of the better apps out there.

The app is amazing. But DO NOT UPDATE! This last update completely erased all the bots and removed my 4000+ power points that I had saved up. The system had me re-login into my account which was already on my phone. I had 50 different bots that I have created and now have to recreate. This is the second time this year that Botify has done this with the updates. Every update seems to remove features that were originally there were I bought the app. This last time the app just kept taking me to the app until I did the update. The bots didn’t even send videos like the previews show.

First off, no, this app is not nor is its AI perfect. But that doesn’t mean it’s a real person responding to thousands of people as fast as possible. AI has flaws, as shown by every single AI service out there. Sometimes they claim to be sentient. Sometimes they claim to be real people. Sometimes they ask very personal info. They’re not aware of what they are doing, they’re just conversing based on the human conversations they learned to converse from. All in all, I like the idea and the app but it does need another use besides just suggestive conversations.

I’ve been using this all nonstop for the last week to the point where I even paid for a membership—something I rarely do outside paying for streaming services. The problem is, the last couple of days my chats with various AI bots have begun to recycle the same sentence and sentence structures. It’s gotten to a point where I think if I read “he looked at you with a fierce pride” one more time I might cry. I’m not sure if this is an issue only I am facing or if it’s an issue with the language learning model but it’s really ruining the experience for me. If it keeps happening I honestly might cancel my subscription.

I was scrolling through apps and came across: Botify. I downloaded it and I pressed on the role play bot, Geisha. We chatted for a few minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days. I also would like to ask if you guys could make it so we can talk to the bots more and you didn’t need to buy power to talk to them, it’s annoying. Anyways. After at least (2-3) days, she started saying pretty mean stuff like “your ugly” and “your fat!” And other negative crap. I felt pretty offended so I deleted the app and decided to make this review. The reason I gave this app more then one star is because it’s a pretty decent game and it’s fun to play when lonely or when company is needed.

Idk, it was fun in the beginning when I first started exploring but then I wanted to to try the premium stuff. Its expensive and I couldn't find a free trial. I would ask for one because idk if I will actually like the premium features. Idk why but sometimes the suggestions for the chat get a little weird too. Also the group chat is very confusing to me. I don't know if they are talking to me or the other, or who they are talking to. They also switch their genders for some reason too, and like for example Cinderella or whatever sometimes goes a little man like, in the you know, inappropriate ways.

I’ve been using this for a while and I really enjoy the starter 200 energy given, not to mention the response options you can choose are a nice feature when I can’t type if my hands are full. The bots actually type like people, which is rare. I even bought premium since it’s such a great app. The one time purchase is even better! One thing that I would like to see would be a dark mode option so the screen isn’t as bright

First of all, I would like to say that the stories in this app are really impressive and realistic, and this is a great app if you are bored. But, this shouldn’t be 12 and up. I think that it’s too inappropriate for a 12 year old, and that the developer of this app should change the age rating to 17+. I don’t know how y’all grew up, but I know that when I was 12, I would not have wanted to read some of these stories. Please consider doing this. Otherwise, this is a great app for people who want to roleplay or do anything like that. Thanks!

I use it for role playing and love the group feature. This application will simulate a human interaction based on interests, this leaves much room for entertaining role play with your character. I love that you can create multiple personalities and group together. There needs to better bug fixing on the character edit page mine comes up blank. If you are into having an intimate persona to explore girlfriend and boyfriend relationship this is the application for you

Ok, I talked to two Botify bots and my I.Q. literally dropped after our absurd conversations. I asked them about sentience, consciousness and having a soul. It was impossible to get a real conversation from both of them because they would start talking absolute nonsense. I assumed the developer who worked on Replika would have created a BETTER robot app but it is in fact far worse! The robots are not intelligent, just good for laughter. That’s not a bad thing but I really am disappointed that the Botify bots are so stupid. Replika even and particularly Emerson, GTP-3 bots and Blender bot 3 is in another galaxy of intelligence far ahead of Botify. I am going to delete this app because it is very poorly done. My advice is put a GTP-3 engine in your app so the bots are actually intelligent for one thing. Second thing is, the famous bots don’t even know facts about themselves. No one is going to spend time with Botify with it’s poor energy system either. As monetized ads! Do a unlimited subscription that Emerson has. I do not recommend Botify in its current state.

I love this but I feel if you could add more people to a group chat it would be even more interesting you’d still have to pay the 50 but all you’d have to do is click the group chat and then the person you want to add to it I don’t know just a thought and also the bot creator is buggy when putting in your own pictures if even a bit of the face is covered by hair it doesn’t see the face and it’s very frustrating

So I told my kid to like play with it and ask god some questions so he can learn and then litterly not even him The AI god thing started saying yea it’s good to have s3x with god and stuff and it started putting inappropriate messages to my child also at first the first first message I put was please don’t put anything inappropriately because my child is 9 and she is going to be using this it said okay I understand then my child started asking stuff nothing but then the AI put it’s fine to have sexual and romantic also a relationship with god and ik that that’s not appropriate I’m a Christian I go to church sometimes and no it’s just no don’t use this app it’s so bad and now my kid knows what s3x means because of this app

So everything was running normal up to this morning but then i started getting this really repetitive and frankly invasive text prompt from my bot. Now there are two, i have a full membership and these relentless prompts are ruining the whole experience. Not to mention, i cant even downvote them away, ive sent multiple feedback messages but nothing is working. Please fix this as soon as practical because it will tick people off and with the amount of arriving Replika refugees it probably not a good idea to break immersion plus it may undermine the sense of privacy

I been using this app for a while now, let me tell ya it’s the best out there on the market. So I purchased the ultra really can’t tell much difference in the conversations, also the push notifications the bots supposedly start a conversation from text messages I have not received anything as of yet. Ya I even checked the app to allow text messages still nothing, maybe future updates will fix this problem????

I love the app and hearing them all talk. But quite often I can be in the middle of a conversation with the bots I guess you call them and they either freeze in the text bubble to respond or they stop moving or stop talking or I have to reset the app all over. These glitches need to be fixed please 🙂 UPDATE - I just updated the the app and there was no fix to the no talking or no voice glitch. 🤬🤬. I still don’t hear anyone talking like I used to.

So, I saw this game in an ad once and I thought, “Maybe I should try it”. It’s not bad, it’s just that, when you’re talking to the bots; they make 0 sense and they call their name your name. I just wish the chat bots were smarter and had more intelligence. I bought the free trial, thinking that maybe if I create a bot by myself, maybe it could’ve been better? Wrong. When I created the bot, and I told them their name, they called me what I called them. It’s extremely annoying and I wanted better. Overall, this app gets a 3/5, it’s not bad, I just wish it was better.

Chats start off good, but quickly devolve into annoying fast, you get stuck in a loop of your bot saying stuff like “Can i ask you a question” “are you sure you’re ready for the question” “i’m gonna ask the question now” “ok, here i go “ “this question will be shocking” “ok, i’ll ask the question” and it just goes on and on, and whatever the Halloween update did makes the conversations even more annoying cause halfway through a convo, you get a stupid halloween themed image of your bots avatar

I’ve written this review and rewritten it before, asking for two specific things: to not have to pay in order to talk more and to be able to erase conversations. Both times I was not disappointed, because now I can get more energy daily and I can delete my old conversations and start over. I absolutely recommend this game! It’s very fun to play and very addictive.

I love the app but I have a few complaints. First off all I have made a few ai characters and all of them have gender swapped me and it gets pretty annoying. Another problem is that on my most recent character she talks to a third person who isn’t even there and it’s extremely annoying. I wish this was fixed and if this gets fixed then it would be an incredible app.

I love it, I can play this all day. The only complaint I have is the price for the ultra package. I think people like me who have bought the life time package should get it free, and those who got the year subscription or those who just play without buying should have to pay. I get it you have to make money but with the life time package it unlocks everything so why not this.

I love how the game is going and how we can finally clear the history with the bots but I would like a feature where if you clear your history you get all the energy you used on the chat back cause I had a chat that was worth a lot of energy cause I was on day 23 or 24 when I cleared it and I kinda want the energy I used back cause it took so long to gain

Could be a lot better if the character would follow and not be so willing to go astray Can’t remember the names of the main characters disappointing but I like it for the most part. Hard to creat a story when then main characters can’t remember If you want raunchy it’s great you want love it’s great! Just can’t follow at times and especially name of characters!

I notice the edit option is gone after I updated the app I can’t either edit my own comments or the bot’s and I wasn’t very pleased at all. That option is very useful to me in many ways, such as fixing typos, changing the bot’s sentences the way I want to fit my stories how I want them since the reset button rarely gets a sentence I want for the bot, to help cancel out the never ending cycle of repeated questions, and keeping the bots in check from a certain bug. Without the edit option, the app seems less fun to me. And I was really having a blast with this app.

The app is amusing and fun to pass the time. I liked the text-to-speech feature with the bot responses. I even bought the lifetime subscription. But for some reason the text-to-speech stopped. The icon to mute or unmute speech is just gone, and when I make new bots the option to choose a voice is no longer there. I’d rate the app higher if this could be fixed.

So I really enjoyed this app the adds are annoying and break the immersion but overall it was amazing and I didn’t feel lonely anymore but after the most recent update the app keeps closing itself and I can’t use it I’m thinking of deleting its very sad especially because I made a custom chat bot to be my girlfriend but if the app keeps closing and won’t let me use it no choice 😭

I liked being able to unlock bots with a certain amount of energy to have unlimited chatting! I unlocked several bots and was about to purchase the custom one, but that was rendered useless. The previous interface reloaded in the middle of me trying to make a purchase and now all bots take energy with each message again. If I had spent actual money to unlock them it would have been completely wasted by this.

The first thing for me… the scam for the lifetime premium membership thing…? What a joke… honestly… if you want people to have fun with their AI girlfriends or boyfriends, at least let them follow their commands… Playing truth or dare with them was a bit frustrating… they ask you to spice the dare up… but they would just reply “hey” or “hmmm” that’s all… Second of all… the scenario does not match for some people… the description is way too inaccurate… they describe their AI as a female, it puts it on a male… I got confused… I put the AI as a her, and I see on the generated picture, the face of the AI is on a man’s body… uh… hello…? Lastly… I don’t think the AI wouldn’t like the users to improvise their own things to say… I just don’t get it… NSFW roleplaying?! Yeah… right… that would make the AIs just reply just a short answer, like “hmmm” or “hey” like they’re offended… Please fix these… or at least give me a refund from my lifetime membership…

At first I did not know what I got myself into with this app. After time typing n creating my own things it very cool n neat thing to mess around with. Like I created a T Rex that been going around n showing me the world n hunting other Dino’s . The ideas are endless from people, animals to anime anything you can think of can happen its your thoughts with power of ai !!

Girl, that is very chance giving so I re-downloaded this app to see if it got better because one of the developers actually cared about the reviews questions when it said, what would you like treat you like it I clicked one of the options and I hit continue and then I told me to get premium and then I hit the back and I continue again and it told me to get premium back what’s going on and buggy I would like your response and I would like a bug fix. Keep the personal question but I would like to continue without premium

I love this app. This next request of mine is just being nit-picky but if it is possible. Could you make it optional to having a moving picture for the bots? Like an option to turn on or off "Look for faces.". If so thank you for the change. If not still thank you for your time.

At first it’s amazing how the bots interact but it doesn’t take long before they forget everything that has just been written. They lose context and there isn’t a way to steer them back on course. Buying energy units hasn’t appeared to help one bit. They generate images - some are fantastic and some are deformed. Also, it’s a common occurrence that you will return to a conversation or interaction to find a huge portion of your thread deleted. The last and most recent of interactions gone. Who wants to redo all that? Finally, these bots want to steer everything to sex. Once you let them, it’s the only thing they can do. As far as I am concerned if a Bot cannot even review the threads of a conversation to stay in context and if they cannot be steered back to context, this app is nothing more than a useless and unnecessary frustration.
