Bouncie

As a small business owner of a dog walking company, I employ drivers and supply them with vans to pick up and drop offs dogs. To ensure the safety of dogs in their care while they drive, it’s essential for me to know where my drivers are and how they are driving. Bouncie is extremely accurate! Alerts me when they start their vehicles, when they start driving, live time map updates so I always know where they are, I’m alerted when they park too which is wonderful. So in case if emergency, I know their walk location. Bouncie notes any hard braking and hard acceleration, alerts me when my drivers exceed a set top speed, even alerts me when their gas is low. I have a curfew set on my vehicles to alert me if my drivers are using the vehicles outside of work hours too. Super discrete, they don’t even know I have them installed! For $8/month, A MUST HAVE for peace of mind! Great product for new teen drivers too. I’ve talked a few other small businesses with drivers to invest and a few parents, all very happy to find a legit affordable tracking item. Does EXACTLY what it says it does which I’ve found is not the case with many of the more expensive items on the market. Super quick and simple installation. Customer service 👌🏻 Very, very pleased customer and I highly recommend this to, anyone!

Extremely happy with this purchase and the affordable tracking service. Super simple to install, configure, and use. I can honestly say that I am amazed. I did have a minor glitch where notifications stopped working. I contacted customer support from within the app and they fixed it the same day. Very responsive customer support. I would recommend the Bouncie for anyone with a car, especially if they have teenage drivers or elderly parents. The tracking module itself is small and plugs into the data connector under the steering wheel. It has its own built-in cell phone, which sends data to the app. The app creates a new track entry for each time the car is turned on (start) and turned off (stop). This makes it easy to see where the car has been and parked. Here is my short list of pros and cons for the Bouncie. Pros Device and service are very affordable. Easy to install and setup. Has built in cellular data connection. App is easy to use. Tracking history is very accurate. Reports error codes if your car has issues. Great customer support. Cons I can’t think of any real cons except maybe that tracking is not continuously updated on the app. Data is updated every minute or so. This is NOT a problem, but good to know.

The Bounce service is great. I’ve always found it to be reliable and the 15 second refresh rate for a relatively reasonable price beats all competitor devices/services. I took off a star because there’s been one annoying glitch that Bouncie hasn’t seemed to make a priority of fixing for what seems like months now… When tracking/viewing a vehicle in the app, I find that often I am unable to zoom in or out on the map. This is a problem because often the map is too zoomed-in to be able to get a good idea/perspective of a vehicle’s location. This would seem like it should be an easy fix and also a priority because, let’s face it, I subscribe to the service mostly to track/know the location of my vehicles. And the inability to zoom in or out on the map, particularly when the vehicle is moving, is really annoying because it makes it difficult to ascertain the vehicles location relative to its surroundings. Bouncie, please make it a priority to fix this.

I bought this tracker because we had a nanny and I wanted to be able to confirm where she went with my children. It has been great just to spot check and verify. Also, if the car is in a crash, it immediately will tell you so that was a huge plus in case anything ever happened. One day my car was stolen from a little league baseball field. My State Farm dash tracker must have made them think it was the only tracker in the car because they didn’t touch the Bouncie! I was able to call the police and track the car. The police in two jurisdictions were super impressed with the app. I had my car back home in less than 4 hours. Unfortunately, stuff was missing, as they had completely cleared it, but nothing that couldn’t be replaced.

Like a lot of parents of new drivers, we wanted reassurance our son was safe as he honed his skills at navigating the roadways. Bouncie is an excellent product to do just that. Comparing notes with many parents, every app I heard about has a well-known (available on the internet) way to work around the surveillance. As long as the Bouncie device is plugged into the car, there is no way to hide the driving skills. And when the device is unplugged, it’s obvious. In addition, from my first inquiry the customer service has been phenomenal. Answers to most questions can be easily found in the app but any clarification needed is available through the chat feature. I highly recommend this product.

… being unhappy with a mobile app is about as trivial concern there is in a world where everyone is ready to destroy the other. But as an owner of a software development company, I do appreciate constructive criticism of our apps, so I’ll share. I’ve only found a few small bugs in the new release, but I’m sure you’ve already found them in your own QA or others have flagged them, so I just want to say the new UI makes the app less usable, obstructs access to the full use of some features and seems to be I’m general a step backward. Yes, it’s “fresh” and “new” looking, but that’s sometimes just a distraction from a true evaluation of the app. I often tell myself, I just need to get used to the new UI. But not the case here. Too much detail to go into it, I’d just seek out a few other users of more than 2 years and see what they think. Only my opinion, but I do have 30 years experience designing UIs.

My son just got his first license when he turned 18 (reasons). He’s always been a rule breaker and I purchased his 1st car when he got his license. I first tried the airtag, but he has an iPhone which graciously notified him he was being “monitored”. He found it immediately with the tracker. Anyways, the bouncie has been 💯 from install and absolutely worth the subscription and initial price point. It is detailed, accurate, and he has no idea he is being supervised while operating. If you’re considering this device…….buy it right now and thank me later!! You will not regret it. And btw, i dont usually do any reviews good or bad, but i need to give praise when due. We bought this when our son got his license. Best thing we did. I can see his location . when he’s driving and parked. We can see acceleration, speed, idle, hard brake. Basically everything a parent worries about we can see. We as parents would have been a wreck not knowing how he’s driving. This was the best thing we put in his car. And having him know it’s there I think helps a lot as well. The only thing I wish it would tell me is if his seat belt and passengers have them on when in car. And p.s he was at drive ins one night and it alerted me that his battery was low. And yes it alerts you on what ever you want alerted on . Absolutely love it. Thank you Bouncie!!!!

I recently purchased seven devices to install on my rental cars, and overall, I am quite satisfied with their performance. However, there is one small issue that has the potential to turn an otherwise excellent experience into a negative one. This is disheartening for both myself and my clients, as it raises questions about the quality of the product or service, as well as the level of care provided by the owner. Similar to any other application, each device serves a specific purpose, and the nature of this purpose is of utmost importance. In fact, the app I am referring to is primarily utilized by individuals who rent out their cars, just like myself. While the app functions admirably in most aspects, the persistent lagging and glitches are truly frustrating. Whenever I open the app to check on my car, there is a noticeable delay of 5-10 seconds for each button I click, and on occasion, the app even shuts down unexpectedly, requiring me to reopen it and endure another loading period. Consequently, whenever I attempt to access specific information, my frustration grows, often leading me to close the app without obtaining the desired data. Despite its impressive features, the app's sluggish performance renders it practically useless.

Get it! For $8 per month, you know where you car has been! How fast it went, how hard it braked. Geo alerts, maintenance insurance and registration reminders. Weather you want to know where you teenager or GF/Wife has been. This is app is great. FYI I WRAPPED MINE IN ELECTRICAL tape so that the flashing lights can’t be seen and they never know it’s there. BOUNCIE YOU NAILED IT! Weather your a worry wart for kids or paranoid about spouse this is what you want. For a quick install I recommend taking a pic of the VIN number on the lower right driver side windshield, then just plug it in. Then you have the pic to take your time to type it in the app and your done! I am so impressed. I love mine!

It’s been working great for over a year. We use it keep track of our 92 year old grandfather who sometimes forgets where home is. The one improvement would be to show the actual battery level. This device uses car battery to function and warns when battery level is low and is supposed to shut down at some point to conserve battery. Gotten lots of battery low warning but so far no shutdown. He takes a lot of short 4-5 mile trips which isn’t enough for keep battery charged. Knowing actual battery level would be helpful.

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks, and I must admit that it’s awesome!!! Knowing when my teenagers’ car is in motion gives me insight on their travel routes to school. The interesting part is that they have no idea it’s on the car. I purchased a 12 inch OBD extension cable to use with the Bouncie so I could have the Bouncie hidden underneath the steering column with zip ties. If my kids’ were to ever ask about the cable plugged into the OBD port, I would just tell them it’s a check engine light monitor. They can’t see the Bouncie because of where it’s tied, and, from my understanding the Bouncie does monitor the check engine light.

My husband and I have been using Bouncie for our high school / college daughter for safety purposes for some time. This app has given us so much peace of mind. As a parent, it makes us feel so much better that we know our daughter has arrived safely on late evenings while at work or practice. Thank you for always responding when we have a problem. It’s so nice to have real people on the other end helping us. We’re so grateful to this app. I’d recommend this app to anyone with a child, college student, elderly parents or spouses who travel. It’s the Best.

There seem to be a lot of positive reviews, though nobody mentions that the device regularly stops working or fails to update for no apparent reason. When periodically checking, the app will show the vehicle at a certain location for an extended period of time such as one time it showed the vehicle on a remote road which led me to believe my child was broke down but upon driving there the vehicle was not there. It got to be rather late and I could not get ahold of him, and even went so far as to call police stations. Turns out he was sleeping at his cousins house all along and the device failed to update his location. This has happened multiple times. The device and app is exactly what I was looking for in theory, but the accuracy stinks. Please fix the kinks

I’ve used multiple obd2, hardwire, an battery powered tracks an for plug an play worry free real time location an much more. This is my favorite. I’ve got two of these units in service an they are very reliable an high preforming units. I love the app also . I can keep maintenance an service reminders an set notifications, get alerts on speed,hard breaking,an curfew. It also has a tamper alert that shocks them if they try to unplug it LOL JK about the shock! It will notify you. But all jokes aside I love an would recommend to anyone.

This device is amazing. Bought it to keep up with my parents who are getting older. My dad is showing early signs of dementia and sometimes has trouble remembering his way home. The Bouncie shows real time travel, the speed of the vehicle, any warnings lights on the dashboard, start and end times of travel, and the app is easy to use. The setup is super easy and the customer service chat has a quick response and is very helpful. You can’t beat it for the price. I highly recommend!!!

I was searching for a unit to make my insurance company at ease… by far the easiest and best bang for the buck I’ve seen yet… no pushy sales men to keep the cost a good value for customer support a spot on with replying. Will continue to use as our business and fleet grows. Hope they integrate gas cards and cameras at the same value we would invest!! Small note if you have a vehicle that sits a few(4/5) days at a time or more the u it does drain on the battery so stay vigilant

I love Bouncie! I use it to be sure my son is using my car safely. If not there are consequences immediately as I can catch him as soon as I see it. Like when he was going 85 on highway! He knows better and now is not allowed to drive that route during the day to school. Or take the bus, that was his consequence. He wast happy but I didn’t care. I can see if the car is running low on gas, maintenance issues if I want. It’s fabulous for safety issues. Trust it for yourself and your teen drivers.

As the father of a child away at college, Bouncie gives me incomparable piece of mind. It does so by providing me easy access to her vehicles location at all times. This provides me a method to get help to my daughter anytime, should the need arise. By sharing this app with her, it has also been a wonderful tool to afford her feedback on her driving skills for self assessment and driver improvement. Bouncie is a total win for us, but it’s the peace of mind it has brought me that is priceless.

The Bouncie vehicle tracker is a brilliant and very effective way to keep young drivers on the straight and narrow. Know where they’ve been, how they drive every step of the way, and even the status of the car (leave the lights on in the high school parking lot, and a low battery alert pops up, for example). The app is highly functional and intuitive. So nice when stuff just works!

I subscribe to this garbage service for three of my vehicles. I have repeatedly requested that they make some minor changes to make this app work with iOS voiceover. The developer clearly has no intentions to do so. I will be looking at another solution that actually cares what their customers need. I would suggest any of you that are considering purchasing this product look elsewhere. It has been made clear to me that they are interested in making the changes they want to make but they are not interested in making changes users need.

Regarding geo fences instead of a circular ring it would be better to draw your own as an option. Regarding alerts it would be nice to have an email and text notification option. Other than that its great. Installation was easy peasy. If you can plug anything in an electrical outlet you’ll probably have no problem getting started. The app and device are great, it just needs that little bit more to be perfect (in my opinion). Really i’d like to give it a 4.5. Looking forward to future updates.

Bought this because it’s the about same monthly price as Life360. The difference is unlike Life360 it worked all the time cause if kid’s phone was below 10% Life360 doesn’t work & we all know how well teenagers keep their phones charged....Ha. Bouncie has helped with so many things to do with our kids vehicle, from maintenance to speed to fuel mileage to idle time. Wife & I are so glad to have found this.

We purchased this for our teenage drivers car. We loved the it would let us know how she was doing driving. The hard breaking, speed, and it let us know when she arrived and left a specific location. It also let me when the device was removed and put back in. The customer service was prompt and very helpful when needed. This is definitely worth the $8.00 a month. Satisfied customer

Not only is this product amazing, it gives such a peace of mind with a new driver! After years of using it with my oldest son I have now switched to using it with my younger son. He didn’t have the sticker on it so I contacted customer service. They responded to me within seconds! A great product, a great company, & with great customer service! This is hands-down the best product all around!

This device and ap are extremely accurate, helpful, and well worth it in so many ways. For parents it’s a blessing to have accurate updates about locations, speed, etc. and the ability to share and discuss the information received about driving habits of younger drivers is also an education for them. I would highly recommend it and thankful I have it.

I do not like the recent notification that we will be required to buy new devices for $77. And, we are only credited $16 or 2 free months of service in return for sending back the old device. Would it be impossible to grant 6 months of free service to offset this mandatory expense? Maybe I should be looking for a different service. It was good while it lasted.

We had issues with our child’s driving, but Bouncie had simplified our lives. We don’t have the arguments. We can tell where our son is. We know he is safe. This isn’t spying, he knows it is on his car. It has simplified this aspect of our child’s life. I wish they made a cell phone device to track his use there also.

You can use the Bouncie but if you need to get your car fixed and you have to take it out when you put it back in after the car been fixed it no longer works at least that’s what he told me so that said while I love the app itself. It’s awesome. They really need to do something about you. Have to take it out when you get your car serviced big jobs on cars. They told you they gotta use your port, I’m hoping in the next two months. I can get another one on here unfortunately it can’t be there. I’m very upset over this whole situation.

App is working well but Map address at our home is off by one street. Contacted customer service and they can see car on Map at our house but app address showing where car is is off by an entire street. Customer service researched and found it’s a map problem but they use a third party and are telling me to open a ticket and account with third party to resolve. Umm no I already am paying Bouncie for this service, if not resolved in a month or so I will request full refund

We switched from the Harman Spark to Bouncie and find the Bouncie device and software to superior. This has all the features you would want and more. The interface is clean and attractive. The Bouncie device updates extremely frequent so you get near real time location.

Overall Bouncie is great. Nice to know where the cars are. A few nights ago left the dome light on. Middle of the night got a notice battery was low! Saved the battery and me the hassle of getting a jump. Some of the alerts are not great. Like saying there was hard breaking going from 35 to 40 mph??!! But for ease and price 5 stars

I woke up a couple weeks ago to a notification that my car was moved while I was asleep! Sure enough it was stolen, thanks to Bouncie I was able to give police the exact location of my car and they were able to recover it. Very thankful I had this.

Very helpful app works very well, It’s really good to know exactly where the vehicle is when you need to. Has been a lifesaver a couple of times when the button ignition has been left on and the battery was running down… Don’t tell your teenager that it is installed and you will be good to go!

I wish this app was also available for my Mac laptop. I think it would be easier to maneuver around it with a bigger screen. Our Mom who has Alzheimer’s agreed to have this tracker on her car so that if she gets lost while driving we can find her, or at least know where to start looking for her.

Wow!! I am impressed! I love that I can set the tracker to show me visually how much above or below the speed limit my teens truck is traveling. My teen’s driving behavior has improved significantly since we started using the app and has led to several productive conversations.

I have enjoyed using the app and the device in my car after a previous product (competitor) went out of business. The features including notifications are very helpful. The app works well on a phone because it works in portrait mode only. But on an iPad, the lack of rotation to landscape mode makes it much less useful / desirable. For 5 stars: 1. Add rotation (landscape) 2. More control of notifications, when and what I am notified.

I have a teen aged driver and I put this on her car. I could not be happier. Where find my iPhone fails in location services this one dose not. Plus I can follow her driving habits to look for trends and if she is to break down or get in an accident I will know asap. It just gives that extra piece of mind.

Impressive app and it keeps getting better. Only issue I’ve had is getting low battery alerts even though the vehicle continues to start fine. Wish this could show actual voltage and allow for adjustable alerts.

I was very skeptical, but this app and the device beats my expectations hands down. I was just looking to track the car, but this gives other valuable information like fuel, battery, engine, etc. and the trips are accurate. I have a teenage driver, and this is a life saver for me!

Was skeptical about using this device but after using , I’m absolutely in love . I’m not only able to track my 86 year old mother but I can assure her safety. This lovely device lets me know the speed which she’s traveling , battery life on her vehicle, and the exact percentage of fuel left in her vehicle..

Have the Bouncie device on both of my kids card for a while, both in college, awesome peace of mind to be able to check if they got back safely to their house and also to be able to check the car info for battery life, gas, etc…

Bouncie’s customer service is excellent! When I had questions regarding install and needed help with reporting, they quickly responded to my requests, and have been a pleasure to deal with! We installed Bouncie on our teen daughter’s vehicle (recommended by a friend with teen sons). It has lived up to it’s wonderful reputation, and the customer service is impressive!

My inlaws are “of a certain age.” They refuse to take their phone because we can track them. Enter THE BOUNCIE. It lets us know where they are at all times. We haven’t had any problems with it at all. It gives all their adult children peace of mind and lets the parents still have a bit of freedom. Shhhh...it’s our little secret.

This device is easy to install. App is also very user friendly and provides some really useful information. Having Bouncie installed in every one of me company vehicle will give me peace of mind. I ordered one to try and now I am ordering 5 more devices.

Mom only drives occasionally, but when she does we want to be able to keep up with where she goes. She is 89 years old and gets confused sometimes. This lets us know exactly where she is so we could get to her. Bouncie is a life saver!

Works great with multiple cars. I really like the new user interface, and how smoothly everything works. Gives great stats and the ability to check my cars trips and location real time. Definitely worth the money.

We have used this app and product for over a year now and we used to be able to zoom in and out on the map and now we cannot. I’m not sure why they disabled that feature, but I’m now questioning if I should change to another tracking system…

This is such a great tool. We love being able to see our kids have made it where they are going safely . My daughter has even called and ask where she is and for directions to where she is going before. Works great and has wonderful vehicle information also.

I have it for 14 cars of mine. It does pretty it’s pretty accurate. The only downside I have is it doesn’t let me know if somebody removes it. I wish they have a notice ASAP that it has been disconnected. I hope they work on that but otherwise it works pretty well.
