It’s a review

Normally don’t leave reviews. However, if you’re looking for a game to play for when you are avoiding work or not getting enough attention from someone in your house, this is the game for you! Avoiding the boss? Go to the corner and play. Your s/o is playing games? You can too! For maybe at most a ten minute interval though. The game play is short, which is why I like it so much. There isn’t any thinking involved. Just finishing up each quest really. Gems are pretty easy to get from them. It can keep my mind thinking it is having fun briefly during a boring work day. The game can be slow, especially at the beginning of each theater but hey I mean. It’s an idle game? What did you expect? Play that tap tap chicken game if you want a more fast pace. It’s idle, fun, and like I said, a game to keep you occupied during your most boring times. I will add, that if you actually want to play this game you will need to watch the ads to move further into the game. Better chance at getting more money in a shorter amount of time. Don’t mind it though. I’ve seen the hotel idle ad probably more times than I can count and have it by extreme memory, but if it means I can get level 7 seating for sunset cinema, hey! I’ll do it. It’s an idle game, it’s the point.

Great

This is one of, if not the, best idle/incremental games I’ve played. I love that the bonuses you get from ads ACTUALLY help you. It’s not like 3 gems to get 10 more minutes of play time. If you manage your goals and managers right, one cash bonus can start a chain of goals being completed and getting even more cash and diamonds. To me, with how much I play and how fast I like to advance, I did purchase the $15 ad skip feature which is really worth it in my opinion. The only thing I would say about that is I wish it worked for the timed events, but small nitpick. I have almost finished the last theater, so I’m hoping more get added very soon. Great game, definitely recommend downloading even if you don’t want to spend any money.

It’s fun but needs some changes, plus recommendations

So overall this is a really fun game. One I’d happily pay for *but* it needs some changes, also I’m including some recommendations for the games developers. -1. *Most Important* I understand that a lot of work goes into creating games/apps, but honestly the prices for buying features in the game are WAY too high. I mean, $20 just to skip ads? Or $15-20 plus to add other features that’s a crazy high price for a simulation game on my phone that I would never pay. Prices closer to $10 & below & you’d probably make more in sales. -2. Toggling between theaters/venues would be a huge help/time saver instead of having to zoom out & tap every time you want to change rooms -3. Better quality graphics -4. New/changing music, the same background music gets old after awhile -5. More skins/faces for managers so it’s easier to tell them apart -6. The ability to name your theatre’s, name your managers etc -7. Adding more add-ons like bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, laser tag etc just some ideas. Overall you’ve done a great job. The main two issues I have are A) The high prices for in app purchases & B) Adding the ability to toggle/click over to the next Theater/room etc. If you can ever lower your prices I’ll be happy to purchase the game. Change needed

I’m giving this game 5 star because it is so much fun. BUT! I do not play anymore because after I finished completely updated my first theater and moved onto the second theater it feels like I start from scratch. If this was a good or proper game my money would move between theaters. It is SO annoying that I have millions of dollars at the first theater with no purpose and I have no where to spend it. If I could use the money I have earned and continue to earn from the first theater and use it for the second and so forth this would be the best game Business or tycoon game. I have played basically every business/management game in the App Store and this game could be the best with that one change.

Great game

A lot of tycoon games I play I don’t stay until the end. I usually play a little bit of the game and then get bored. THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE GAMES. 1. No ads unless you want ads 2. Very creative movie theaters, posters, collectibles, I guess you would call items you have to buy with gems, quests, side quests if you will, and more 3. I stayed until the end of the game which is saying something The only downsides are that you have to have Wi-Fi, you don’t come out with theaters fast enough (I get it’s probably hard to make new theaters with the programming and ideas and such, but when I’ve been playing over a few months and you still haven’t come out with anything, it’s hard to continue playing), and the last theater doesn’t have many things you can buy with gems and it’s basically a copy of the one before except it’s fantasy themed. Other than that one of my most played games to date and it’s a really good. Definitely recommend. P.S.- idk if anybody will read this out of the thousands of reviews but if you do thx!

Feel like I’m at movies

It’s fun game I normally don’t like sim city type games take to much time for me to play but this is fun you theater earns income after you close it for two hours that is big helpful I enjoy going to movie theaters this second game I can get close to it,. If you saw nick show drake and josh, josh gets job working at movie theater this there is karaoke , game room, you unlock later on in game expensive bigger theaters I call imax / 3d movies it’s a lot of fun if you like going to movie theaters as much I do meeting talking to people who work there and customers this game is for you to level up movie theater to its max and move on to next bigger theater to work at

Not bad, could use improvement

This game is a good way to kill time. Only issue I have come across is that the proportion of managers to respective areas is frustratingly off. I.E. Your cinemas have one arcade and I have 9 different managers for the play station type, on the flip side you have 12 theaters and I have spent over $10mil to only get 10 managers for the movie station type. The same could be said for service and food station types. I understand having a few extra to swap out or they have minor differences in attributes, but it is frustrating when I hire 30 managers in a row and can’t get another one to manage a theater. It would be great if you could use excess managers from cinema to cinema.

Goal Glitch

I’ve been playing for about a week now and unlocked the second movie theater, and unlocked a bunch of stuff in it last night. After the update however, the first theater now says I have only competed 70 goals out of 72, and now I can no longer access my second theater. When I click the goals nothing appears. Update: Deleted game and redownloaded to see if that would fix the issue because support was taking too long to respond, and ended up losing not only all my progress but the features I paid for as well. The only response I got from support was “try connected to Facebook to restore your progress and if you didn’t already connect before hand your progress can’t be restored.” Then he proceeded to end the chat before I can even respond. So they basically said they can care less that I spent money on the game and lost the features.

New update doesn’t make it fun anymore

I have endured some of the unpleasant updates mentioned in other reviews. The acts was so annoying because it took me much longer to complete a theater that was almost done. I have since completed all the theaters. I tried to do the challenges on the specific theater. The graphics have gotten worse and the managers feature is complete trash now. I can’t assign and move managers easily and the new system is confusing. I prefer the old way. I also used one of my legendary manager tickets and it ate it. I never got anything for using it. This has been fun in the past but it is almost unplayable at times. I hope they come out with a better update then what was placed before us.

Fun but a little buggy

With some updates I would be happy to give this game 5 stars. It’s a cool game to pass time and play but not be too invested in. One of the little people gets stuck in front of the concession stand frequently. If the little person is stuck there they can’t go back to their car and the movie never starts. If the movie never starts you never get new customers in for that movie. Also, because the movie won’t start until everyone is back in the car it takes FOREVER for a movie to actually start if people are out buying things or using the bathroom. It would be nice if the movie was on a timer/schedule just like a real movie would be. It’s not reasonable or realistic and it’s less fun to play to have to wait 3, 4, or 5 minutes for the movie to start (or until refresh if one of the little people is stuck/glitching) Lastly, adding the manager’s names to their overview in the manager menu would make sorting through them easier. Lol I can’t memorize a little generic computer face but I can remember a name easier. Overall fun game just needs a little work.

So. Cute.

This game is so fun! It’s totally cool, and I love the adorable graphics!!! There are a couple things I wish were in the game. One, I wish you could customize the theaters. I like the red theater seats but I always have to upgrade them to the purple ones and it doesn’t feel as cushy. Two, I wish you didn’t have to use gems to buy some items in the areas, because it doesn’t say the entire thing is complete without them and my OCD levels spike because I want them to be done and the empty areas filled. Other than that, it’s an amazing game, totally ad free unless you want VIP perks. 🩷🩷🩷

Kind of barebones. Needs extras.

I’ve had this game for a little less than a day and I feel already bored of it. My first theater is completely upgraded and just waiting for the achievements to populate is really dragging this experience down. I think a lot would be helped if there were power ups or add ons outside of the manager powers like station speed multipliers, or profit multipliers. At this point, there’s nothing to do with the gems you rack up. They’re not worth the money you pay for them if you do. Really at this point what I’m asking for is something that you can use your gems on. Special power ups or boosters, as well as time skips. Otherwise I’m enjoying the game so far.

Cute, Simple and Realistic

It’s awesome to see the customers bop around the movie theater as they go to the bathroom or grab a snack. The game is clean and simple. However when you look at your customers it begins to get complicated. You see a line starting at the bathroom, customers getting frustrated that there’s a long line at the concession stand. Your customers show you where your theater’s shortcomings are and I N actually feel like I’m managing the box office instead of just blocking upgrades in an idle game.

NEEDS updates but the money problem

So the thing I was REALLY mad is that it takes about an hour to get AT LEAST a dollar but instead when you wait that WHOLE hour it gives you about $20 when you wait that whole hour. this is one of the realist updates, literally whoever is the owner of this game please read this comment this update is going to be, well hopefully the update is going to be you’re going to get money in 50 seconds and you get paid $200 literally of course tycoon games never give you any money so don’t get this game it’s a waste of your time, and if you’re deciding to get this game or not don’t get it just don’t get it. you should literally shut this game down if you’re not gonna do the update that I said.

Great game

I usually don’t do reviews. This game has been fun. Although, I’m now in the 4th level and can’t do anything because I can’t see any of the managers I have in the manager menu. Everything was fine up until then. I’ve powered my device off and back on and still no fix. Also, it’s a bit frustrating to have to spend a ton of money on managers until you finally get the kind you really need for a certain area and as you move up levels, there are more theaters but not nearly enough movie managers for them. You end up spending all your money trying to get enough but never do.

Not enough uses for coins

I like this game a lot and I play it every few days now. I am almost done with the latest available theater and it’s still fun. I hope the next theater gets released soon. The main issue I have with this game is that I can’t buy gems with the coins. It takes a long time to save up coins but it would be awesome to be able to buy gems with enough of them. Since gems are the biggest currency in the game besides just real world money. It doesn’t have to be a good deal but it would make my game experience better to have the option to trade coins for gems.

I enjoy this game.

I downloaded 3 idle tycoons at once and tried them all. This is the one that remains downloaded. This game allows you to make in game money quickly and easily. You occasionally have to watch an ad , but you will be rewarded for doing so. A little guy will walk In and offer you in game money , as long as you watch an ad. Keep an eye out because sometimes he offers a very large chunk of money which will help you so much. 4 Stars because late game quests are expensive and reward you diamonds which are pretty useless compared to in game money. But none the less if you are looking for a game to kill time with , this is the one.

Need an Update

Updated Review: Please note, I stand by my old review ( see below). This game is still great. However we need a new update. It’s been a while since we’ve had new theaters. Why don’t you make one of them the drive-in? Not like the one in the challenge, but a permanent one. Please fix soon! Old Review: I really love this game. It’s really fun. The only reason I won’t give it a 5 star because I wish you could transfer money from one theatre to the other. The second thing, I wish they would add more people. Make the parking lot look full and everything. All that hard work and it seems like no one wants to come to the movies. Please fix!!

Don’t review Apps Often but

This one deserves a review from me. I just finished the last available theatre and it’s both enjoyable and frustrating at times. Pros: Enjoyable. Doesn’t require a ton of attention. Offers the ability to purchase an ad-skipper. So you can get all the in-game benefits that come from watching ads, with a one time payment. I had no issue with that, as I rather pay the game developer a few bucks, then watch a ton of ads throughout the process. Cons: I think my biggest complaint is that when your done with a theatre, it becomes useless. I would have loved if I got profits from finished theatres that go into my current theatre. But every time you advance to a new theatre, your start back at step 1. The other issue I had was when you get to the larger theatres, it can take a whole day of profits just to make a single upgrade. Love the game, y’all. But please try to make it a little less redundant, and less that moving from theatre to theatre is like hitting the reset button.

Disappointed.

First, I would like to say that I loved this game. It was easy to upgrade theaters without having to spend actual money, and you didn’t have to wait when upgrading/building theaters and arcades, karaoke lounge, etc. but the developers of this game have changed all of that and have ruined a game that didn’t need an update. Now when you want to build an arcade you must wait, or just use real money to buy gems and then skip the waiting. Instead of just upgrading your theaters to unlock the next one, you must now complete “acts,” making it longer and more time consuming to do so. It’s obvious what the developers are trying to do, and that’s for you to spend your money in order to upgrade. Very disappointed in the update.

Box Office Tycoon

This game is a ton of fun, and not terribly time consuming. Pros - updates to game, new levels to try, good 10 minute break, events twice weekly. Areas for improvement (IMHO) - lots of ads (2 hour ad boost time means 12 ads to watch for max boost, plus money guy and bus are extra ads). I appreciate the boosts, but I feel like I’m spending more time watching ads than playing the game by a significant amount. The other area I think could use work is the parking number versus the available seats number (I.e. sunset box office allows for about 60-80 more spaces available than are ever able to be used).

Have you abandoned this game?

Another edit. Still waiting for a new theater. The Queens landing theater is the last one. I’d like to keep playing this game but you guys don’t seem to want to keep players. Edit: Well it’s now been 4 months since it shows you’ve done any updates. I’ve completed all available theaters. Still waiting on a new one. I’ve completed the queens landing theater over 2 months ago. Is that it? There’s no new theaters except for the limited events going on. Are there going to be more theaters? It’s been 2 months since the last update to this game. Another edit. It’s now may and there is still no new theater. How do you guys expect to keep people playing your game if you don’t add anything new.

Events

The main game is actually pretty fun, but the fact that you can hire 10 different food managers with one concession stand and barely any theater managers with multiple movie theaters is stupid. Also, the event goals are way too high. For the alien one you have to reach 780 thousand alien customers to get the final goal, but upgrading everything to its fullest only gives you 2 thousand and something alien customers per hour. No one is going to spend money on an event when the upgrade only lasts until the event ends and the upgrade costs $20 dollars. Make the goals more reachable and stop trying to rob the players.

Good game expensive in-game purchases

The game is cool for the most part except for the outrageous prices they try and ask people to pay for ad removal and all the other perks.. I bought the piggy bank (so I could at least show my gratitude for the game) but I was only able to use it once even though supposedly it’s suppose to keep filling up until it’s full again. Not sure if that’s correct but either way it’s a rip off because I haven’t seen the piggy bank since. Game is cool I just wouldn’t buy anything in it. If the piggy bank is able to be used more than once it really should be addressed how, so I’m able to change my review.

So Slow...

I love tycoon games and even stick around those who are overly micro transactional but this game is so slow. The rate at which you earn money is slow and everything is expensive so the funds get spent really quickly. This wouldn’t be that big of an issue if you had customers coming into the theater but that’s the worst part. There is a really REALLY slow trickle of customers coming in. You would think that there would be more customers filling up my parking lot to make me more revenue but no. Has potential but there’s other games out there that have a nice balance of customers coming along with funding to expand.

Fun but buggy

I really enjoy tycoon games. I like this one a lot, especially because it has frequent events. But lately it has been rather buggy. I have a very solid Internet connection, but it keeps cutting out and saying I need to check my Internet connection. Also,The little people in the game have stopped wanting to buy tickets from my ticket office. These issues only seem to have started in the last week, so maybe if a new version comes out it will be five stars. If not, it’s going to get annoying and I’m going to have to delete it.

Support is terrible, 0 stars should be an option

I have played this game since July of 2020. I recently got a new phone and because I didn’t restore from a backup and I didn’t connect to Facebook, they will not honor the purchases I made in the app. I chatted with their “support” they stated that because I did not do one thing there is nothing they can do to honor the purchases, they will not add a restore purchases button to the game because they believe Facebook is the way to go instead of the Game Center, so make sure you add Facebook to the cloud save option or your out of luck if you purchase any thing inside the app like the ability to have offline work for 12 hours

Want to enjoy it

When 3/4 of the time playing is watching ads to get the 2x multiplier for the next two hours so that you can actually upgrade things...something isn’t right. I grew up at the movie theaters so I was really excited when I found this game. Unfortunately things cost so much that in order to really play the game for longer than 20 seconds, you need to either watch tons of ads to obtain they 2x multiplier then wait two hours, or pay real money. I get that games aren’t made for free, but there is nothing to do unless you either watch tons of ads and come back in two hours or pay money. There needs to be something in between. One thing I don’t understand about these kinds of pay wall games is, “out of sight, out of mind.” If developers want you to actually play the game, you have to make something playable. Once I close the game to ‘wait’, my mind is onto other games that aren’t a waiting game and those games win out. As a result, after a few days of inactivity, I delete.

Addicting Game

I’ve had this game for many years, it feels like. And I beat all the different cinemas. We need new theaters!!! The events are a little redundant. So it keeps my attention for some weeks, but then it gets boring. Please come up with a different event or at least make it so that we can upgrade each station higher than what it is. Maybe do something for the long time players as an incentive. Also, when starting a new event, it glitches and has to restart. Please fix.

Hey so no one will probably ever read this but I was really looking forward to this game and... if does not disappoint. It’s really fun but still like at lot of other idle games but it’s also a little different ads are optional yes they help you progress throughout the game but you really don’t need them. Even though I’m rating this game 5 stars I’d say it really deserves a 4 1/2 but it was a little over 4 1/2 stars so I gave it a 5. Anyways long story short GET THE GAME what’s to lose?

Good, but needs some technical work

I like this game very much, but there are some tech problems. Sometimes it freezes after watching an AD (this happens to many games, but happens more frequently with this one.) Doubling the offline 2 hr by watching an AD doesnt work for me more often than not, yet the 10 min boosts by watching an AD always work. And the worst offense is, you get no offline income AT ALL if the game mis-loads or you dont tap the “continue” button. I recommend the game, and I recommend the devs fix this stuff.

Gimmicky

This game is a good game. Starting out you can watch ads to increase your income when you’re at the lower level. When you start to really earn money, the ads don’t credit you for watching and if they do, you have to watch three or four before it credits you the amount for watching an ad. Now if my income to 2x my money is anywhere over 50,000 it doesn’t let you watch ads. You click it and it doesn’t open up to show an ad. Not worth my time playing. It’s almost as if they want you spend money on the offline assistant. Delete it trust me.

Good but…

I’ve been playing this game for about 3-4 months now and it’s amazing I like everything about it except the hiring managers. I spent over a week consistently playing every day trying to hire a specific manager for a specific role and it just keeps duping The ones I already have to level up and that’s a huge downside for me so I constantly have to have managers assign to stations that they don’t like because hiring managers doesn’t give you ones that you need.

Glitches

This game is fun. It does cost a lot to upgrade but once you get to a certain point, leave, come back later and you having enough to upgrade a lot. Then just repeat that process until you can upgrade everything. The only problem I have is I’ve spent 3 million on upgrading the same thing because it doesn’t take, so I can’t advance past the first theater at all. I’ve tried several times and it still isn’t taking. So it only gets 3 stars, which I should give it less since I am going to delete the game. No sense in playing anymore.

Bug and support

So there’s a bug in the star light nights events where people finish using the sink and get stuck and contact support does not work I typed in my issue after it asked and no response and now I can’t type anything else on. Only reason I’m doing this here and giving it a one star. Someone please reach out and/or fix the issue and I will fix my ratings I love y’all’s games even have prison tycoon I’m not trolling. Again would not have put this review and one star here if at least the contact us bot or person worked. This is a five star game just doing this so someone will do something about it thank you and sorry.

Great way to pass the time!

This game is a lot of fun but has a few issues. I’m on my 3rd theatre and some items cost way too much. 1 billion dollars for a theater seat or toilet upgrade is crazy. Also some cars just drive through people in the parking lot which is funny. I wish there was more ways to earn money than waiting for a VIP to show up. It would be nice if they fully explained what some upgrades really do (VIP lane, reward points, etc). Fun game but hopefully they will add more theaters.

Almost a two thumbs up

I’d give this a good score overall. I play this often even but, it’s also not without a few things that I don’t like. First off is the progression system. Theaters have to be upgraded fully before you can advance to the next, I wish it didn’t do that. The other thing is some of my saved progress seems to disappear every so often, not sure if that’s just due to the game or something more. Either or way overall though, I like this game.

Needs update and some fixing

I love the game it’s very fun but there’s a problem I can’t get into the game at all on my phone it does this to me all the time i’m sure there is tons of people that have this game that are experiencing problems like this you tap on the game it loads and then it kicks you out and put it back to the iPhone screen so it needs an update and fixing that needs to be fixed

It’s ok

A fun game that relies heavily on forcing you to watch 30 second ads whenever there’s an opportunity to boost or earn a large sum of money. It’s one of those games we’re you check in for a few minutes, leave, come back a few hours later and have the option to watch an ad to double the revenue you earned offline or continue playing. The micro transactions really cripple the gameplay and the prices are laughable. I support this game with a high five for its minimalist design but I disagree and shame with their ad placement practice and their in app purchases.

Different prices

I have the ticket machines leveled up to the same level, but I really do hate that they are different prices. I think that since they are the same level they should be the same price. I have to pay $33,000 for one machine, then $22,000 for a another even though they’re both the same level. The rest of the game is pretty cool but I just think you should work on the prices for things. It’s like that for everything thing in the game, so please work on that.

Awesome but...

I was having so much fun with this game and almost got finished with my first theater and then out of no where my whole game started over. I’m annoyed and it might of just turned me off of the game completely. Like y’all legit could’ve gotten 5 stars but clearly there’s a glitch or bug or something. Edit: to answer your question developers, no I have never downloaded the game before or got a new phone. Literally I was playing the game almost got done with my first theater. I left the game for not even an hour, then got back in and the game started over.

Latest update (v1.7) isn’t so good

I’ve been playing this for a bit now, and this update as far as I can tell has only served to do 2 things, cost players more money (new Franchise Assistant), which is expensive, and taken features away! I’ve already spent $30 to get the Offline Assistant, Marketing Assistant, and the Video Ad Assistant, and now they want another $15 for the Franchise Assistant. To the second part, where did the statistics button go? The one where I could see my earnings, overall, as well as by individual station.

Update reset days of progress and took away collectibles

Logged in after the update to find that all of my managers have been reset to level 1 in theaters where I had every manager except the legendaries maxed out. It also took away all of my collectibles from all of the stations in my theaters. Those cost diamonds to build, which costs real money. So the devs have literally stolen from me by trying to make me buy them all again. I won’t be spending another penny on this game and you shouldn’t either. The new update made everything less intuitive and hard to use anyways.

5 stars but...

I absolutely love this game, it’s a good time waster and just overall really fun to play! However I’m not sure if it’s just me experiencing this but there’s a glitch where when I buy a manager it doesn’t show up and the price to buy a manager goes up even though I didn’t receive my first one. Super super fun games

This game is fun but you have to unlock skins and I don’t really like it but it’s still fun because the characters are funny and they have an updated since I played this game I played this game for about a year now and it’s fun and on this 2020 day super fun so here are some tips that this game needs to get first of all it needs more updates second of all it needs to get more skins third of all it needs cards

Good game! But...

I love this game so much and I enjoy playing it when I’m bored! I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes to customize! The one thing I dislike about the game is that the customization is limited because you can’t put things were you want, everything has to be in the same place. But other that that, I really love this game! 😄

It’s ok...

I like idle games but, this one is pretty slow earning and a bit stingy. Like in all idle games, ads are pretty much your source for growing your business much faster by earning some “VIP” extra cash and boosts. For this one, the boost only lasts for minutes instead of hours. The VIP cash will rarely hit acceptable amounts. I also don’t understand the earned amount. It says “per hr” but, is that per GAME hour or REAL LIFE hour?? Because if it’s real life hours, then I’m only earning 3k per in the beginning. Which is kinda ridiculous if you think about it.

Lifeless and boring

This game is visually appealing and that's all it has to offer. The gameplay is extremely linear and the only difficulty is waiting for your passive income to flow in. You don't need to manage anything because you are just generating money from nothing. You cannot interact with your guests and they're really just there for show. No matter what you do, the statistics page will show you how much money you will be generating per hour, guaranteed. So there is no strategy to this game, upgrades are literally just to generate more money, there are no upgrades that directly affect guests or management.

Adds are broken

I’ll admit, I watch adds to get more money; but some of them that seem to good to be true (say you should earn 11,500$ but if you watch an add you get 23,000$) they stop the add halfway and crash the game! To where you get back on the app, and you have NO money from while you left. But this game is fun and the progress you make, makes it worth it :) I love these games that they make but WHERE THE HELLS MY MONEY!!! THAT STUPID CANDY CRUSH ADD KEEPS TAKING IT!!! Anyways it’s a good game, and you should get it :)

Update ruined experience

I used to love this game, even spent money on it. It reminded me of a game I used to play on big fish when I was little. Now the update has made things needlessly complicated and with the aesthetic appeal of a toddlers game. I can no longer stand to play it, and it was once such a good game. I’d put zero stars if I could, reading so many comments has made it clear I’m not the only one who feels this way AND that they have no intention of correcting their mistake. I’m uninstalling this game and will spend no more money on it ever again. Such a waste of what was once the perfect idle game.
