Happy Camper So Far
I just installed the APP and I found it both simple and intuitive. I think it's particularly helpful in that the screens and buttons copy and/or closely mimic the screens of the online web interface, providing new users the advantage of familiarity from the beginning. As for the Bank: I joined Bread Savings via their online portal about two weeks ago. I set-up a joint account and linked it three other banks, but I did need help finding answers to several “Process questions and some “Terms & Conditions” questions, during the first 10 days or so. I conveyed my questions both via their online "EMail" and via phone; and sometimes both (just to verify my understanding and"get it in writing"). My calls were answered in reasonable time, and my EMail notes were answered within in a day or two. Their support system seems to work well, the agents I interfaced-with seemed to be well-versed and their follow-up was always as-promised. In summary, my experience with Bread Savings has been remarkably satisfying, especially when compared with other banks.

Good bank and App, but not perfect
The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because Comenity has these crazy withdraw limits. Back in November, I needed to withdraw a significant amount of money and found out I could only with draw 5k a day. I had to call to have my limit raise. It was raised temporarily for a month and I subsequently had to call back to get it raise permanently. I think this is a flaw that needs to be fix today. Now the app. The app is great. You can message customer service and they respond very quickly during the weekday, not so much on the weekend, which is fair. One major improvement would be a total asset line. If you have a savings, CD, and or checking (I don’t think they offer) you should be able to see your total assets.

Mixed feelings….
Overall, love doing business with them. The online banking and app work really well and I like how they work and look. It’s clean and neat. They pay a really decent interest rate too, but here a just a few things that they could really really improve on. 1.) if I’m using your bank to house my emergency savings, and my other accounts for different goals I am savings for, and given the obvious that you’re an online bank, the amount of time I have to wait on hold to speak to someone is horrible. I’m currently on hold as I write this review and right now I am at 32:53 minutes on hold. My question is why? I should not have to wait over 30 minutes and counting to speak to someone about my account / money. You’re an online bank? You would think phone and web support should be a quick call away if your customers need to speak to you. 2.) HOLD TIMES ON YOUR MONEY! This one kills me, I get that when you open a new account, I expect for excessive hold times to be placed on my transfers, as a bank with a new customer there is always a level of some risk, but the fact these transfers clear my external account usually within a day or two and your bank holds these funds for 10 days is insane. A couple of days I can understand, but 10 days is a little much don’t you think? Other than that, it’s not a bad place to hold your money, but there is deff improvements that can be made.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK
I REPEAT. DO NOT USE THIS BANK. I have been fighting with them since November to close my account and get a check for my account balance. Except they will not include my initial deposit of $140 in the check. The reason I’m closing the account in the first place is because after messaging them 3 times they would not reflect the $140 deposit in my balance. To be clear the $140 deposit shows in my transaction history but not my balance. I finally called after getting no where with messaging. I was told to send screenshots of THEIR OWN APP to them so they could see the deposit on my end and they would review it. Nothing happened. No call back. 24 hours later I get a message that my account has been frozen and flagged for fraud. All of a sudden I can’t do anything with my account until I provide pictures of my SS Card, driver’s license, and mail. Absolutely insane. They are literally stealing my money and now they want a copy of my SS Card?? Why, so they can steal my identity as well?!?! This bank is an absolute scam. Please, there are so many other online banks. Do not make the mistake that I did.

Savings acc only
A lot of these reviews are from IDIOTS that think this app is for their credit cards that Comenity finances… Even though it clearly says (if you’ve opened a savings acc with Comenity this app is for you). These idiots obviously do not know how financial company’s work and the fact that they do offer options for an app, however it’s up to the clients/stores to sign up for that option. It costs more for an app option so most store cards don’t opt in for it. If you’re one of these idiots that downloads this app and think it’s gonna work for your credit card, you should reconsider your education and common sense. It’s not hard to read the descriptions, you’re basically useless if you need someone to tell you these details….

They’re nothing but useless,i have to call for a chargeback because they won’t allow me to withdraw my own money and after they ask me to provide bank statements for them to lift restriction off they turned dump and deaf to your messages with bunch of excuses! I’ll advise whoever want to download this app to for Christ sake run for their money because they won’t allow you to withdraw your own money and if you try be ready to confess how you made even this money! They’re useless and heart. I understand why they said they’ve donated over $1.2million and are over 30years! Sitting on peoples money

Comenity (Academy Sports CC)
This comes up for the mobile app for Comenity Financial (Academy Sports Credit Card). I had an Academy Sports Store card for over a year now. Try to make a payment the apps never retains the person’s login information and always gives “cannot be found” and the sends a person through the enrollment process just to be given the message “account already exists go to login”. A 1 or 2-star rating is being generous. Maybe people that have same issues withheld payments until it is fixed then something will be done to improve the app. They were to do easy pay that is non-login way to pay; however, the issue is that you cannot check your account either. They claim things and when a person can’t login then they cannot verify the information they are being told which could lead to the consumer being cheated.

Good app with simple functional interface
Been using app for about a year now. I like the simple interface. Even though the interface is simple it is still functional. And it’s always worked for me—no functionality bugs, crashes, etc.I recommend this app for anyone with a Bread Savings account.

Trying to pay a card with this institution is nightmarish
I’ve been trying to pay my card balance in full for the last four days and can’t get ahold of anyone nor will it let me download this app. I’ve called the customer service number on the back of the card to no avail. I’ve tried laying on the card app to no avail. Now this app that controls the card won’t let me download it. So all of my attempts have been met with no response. This is a terrible business and I will be cutting this card the second the balance is paid in full never to use a card provided through comenity again when I read the fine print. -Lara

Not the app I need.
So I just got a store credit card and Comenity bank is the servicer and this app popped up. But after reading through it, this is not the app I need and at the bottom says to use the account dashboard. Would be nice to have an app to go to for payments and info because every other card I have allows that and I don’t always have the time to go to the web page to do simple checks. 3/5stars is the middle because I don’t know how the app functions one way or the other.

Closed my account and took my money
I opened an account with bread savings in September of 2022. I kept getting logged out and it kept saying I didn’t finish signing up even though I did.. I called a customer service representative and they helped me. I let the money sit for a few months and recently got locked out again. I had deposited at least $500 and now cannot get in my account again. Customer service is saying I never made an account with them, I have plenty of confirmation emails of when I started my account and even monthly emails letting me know my monthly statements are ready.

Was so looking forward to a banking relationship with Bread Savings
The opening account process is unlike any other account opening process I have had with any other online bank. I ended up with a partially funded CD, and am still trying to navigate linking another bank account to possibly opening a High Yield Savings Account. The only positive experience at this point is that I was able to reach someone by phone without waiting. However, the representative was not able to assist me in a practical way.

Improved app/quick transfers
A recent update improved app functionality. Also, when I need to move money from an external acct to my Comenity acct, the transfer takes place quickly. My other online banks are much slower to execute the transfer, resulting in a few days of interest being lost.

Lousy Phone App Interface
Twice now I have had difficulties getting a check deposited into my account. I have only attempted to deposit a check twice. Once the check made it through the photo segment and the intake, nothing on the dashboard indicates that there is a pending transaction. Online interest rates may be hire but if the fluidity of service do to use to be lousy, I’ll not be using Bread Online for very long.

Bad customer service , worse app
The app is barely functional. Bread savings in general is barely functional While the checking side of things is fine, the savings accounts barely ever load, customer service contact center rarely works or they don’t respond to the direct question you ask I had to leave the app & it’s been a headache because the website crashes or loaded forever , even when you clear your cache /cookies

Frustrating
This app, along with your website has GOT TO BE one of the MOST frustrating things to use. I needed to create the account to sign in to manage and I went to the website , logged in to get the account number only for it to be starred out. Why isn’t there another way to access this info when logging into / signing up on the app? Good lord please fix. It’s all a painful process.

Easy to use
Very nice easy to use app, my only recommendation would be if they could incorporate a bucket system similar to Ally bank where you can distribute your money within the account for occurrences, emergency fund, vacation fund, investment fund etc

Garbage
This used to be a great app but it has to have a password reset daily. I’ve asked to have it fixed several times and they did several months ago but it’s back doing the same thing it’s almost enough to make you want to go to do business somewhere else, they are a great bank but they need to get their IT department to fix this. The app is actually pretty good. It’s just the stupid stuff that goes with it. Thank you.

App is good, support is lacking
The app itself is good and functional, but I feel that support from the bank is connected to it, and the support is lacking, so I just can’t give it a high rating. There are issues with messaging the bank, and after I send a message I often don’t hear back for days. (It took them a week to respond to my last message!)

Poor external account service
It is almost impossible to transfer money out to existing external accounts because the system keeps asking to add the same account over and over again. I talked to Jennifer several times and I am still unable to transfer out. I am close to close this account

Comenity merge results in declined transactions for a week
We can’t use our cards at all because they are “transferring to a new system,” which is Bread. They can charge you fees and interest but don’t expect to be able to use your available credit! And they won’t give you a timeframe for when the cards will work again. Totally unacceptable and will be closing our accounts shortly.

WORST BANK AND APP EVER
I’ve had the worst time using this bank. i’ve called several times because my account has been restricted since i’ve opened it and every time I call they never know when it will stop being restricted. I wanted to change banks initially because It’s not easy to put money in from my other bank and now I can’t even take my money out to close the account.

Clunky app, Clunky bank
Multiple attempts to open a certificate of deposit for a year using my community savings bank balance. I’ve gotten a denial of approval even though the money is there and there is nothing to approve or deny. Customer service also zero help functions within the app super clunky. I’ve done much better with online banking with CIT Bank. Transferring my money away from here!

Account Password Bug
The savings rate is great. But there is a bug that consistently locks your account and forces a password reset about every other login. Doesn’t matter how secure or insecure the password or whether in-app or in browser, you will constantly have to reset your password. I’ve contacted customer support about this twice with no resolution.

One way only
Everything works pretty good at first and they do offer very competitive savings account rates but there’s one big catch when you try to transfer money out of your savings account to a external account, well let’s just say it doesn’t work. I would highly discouraged anyone from using this bank or their app.

Outrageously poor customer service
On hold twice for over 40 minutes. Disconnected each time. Link that says “message us” doesn’t work. Can’t access new account information. No account number ever received. Doesn’t recognize my login. They have basically stolen my money and won’t respond. They are thieves!

Had a problem while applying online. Got an account but not an account number. Could not make a new account because I already had an account. Could not get into my account because I don’t have an account number. called customer service and they ACTUALLY told me there’s nothing they can do.

My Orbitz Visa got moved to this- ok, no problem. But I can’t login to the app, even though I have it OPEN in my browser. Something is not syncing. Not impressed- no way to deal with it via app interface and there is no reason to change my password

CASH ADVANCE FEE BE WARY!!! SCAM
They will charge you an out of this world fee of $10 for transactions they call “quasi cash advance” which means if you are gambling they count that as a cash advance even if it’s not directly converting to cash... And they won’t give you any notice of this or a warning!!! Terrible customer service and Comnetiy bank is terrible terrible this company might be worst than Comcast!!! AVOID AND CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU CAN

Doesn’t Work for PlayStation Card Members
Was very happy with Capital One and then Sony/PlayStation switched to Comenity. Can’t even use the app, which would be much more convenient. Keeps telling me my credentials can’t be verified, even though I can log in using a browser. I have had several problems with the bank overall since the switch. Not happy.

Applied for savings account 10 days ago. Nothing received. Called CustServ, found out it pending a review? CustServ has no idea why, tried to blame July 4 for delay. I said it was over 10 days ago and July 4 was over, everyone was back at work. Wanted to speak to supervisor or manager, no one was available!!! Seriously!!!

Salon centric
My Salon Centric credit card is through Comenity bank, but apparently this app doesn’t work for it. Every other credit card has an app. It’s annoying that I will have to memorize the website to pay my bill. I’m not going to go paperless if there is no other way to be notified of my bills. Come on man!

Login Doesn’t Work
Used exact same login info as it is for the website and wouldn’t work. It seems everyone is having this problem. Good to know it’s not me, it’s a glitch. Needs to be fixed. Will be relying on website now only. I’m not going through the process of resetting passwords for it not to work still.

The app is lacking in many areas, it does not show scheduled transfers. The only way to see scheduled transfers is to actually sign in through the website. If I need to sign in to the website in order to get vital account information then what is the purpose of the app?
