Top Notch and well organized
We are still new to the system, but I’m just beginning to realize the sophistication and the security this system provides, missed it completely until today. The system is supported by local technical unit called Allied security, and they to provide five star service at the local level reasonably priced and giving you the option of the level of sophistication my home needs. Very pleased.

Takes advantage of senior citizens
My dad as Alzheimer’s and I know that the salesman could see that because my dad repeats things over and over again. If a salesperson sees that someone forgets and continues to ask the same question, why would they continue to try to make a deal with them. I called my dad to see what he was doing and he says, “this nice man is installing a security system.” I have power of attorney and didn’t know anything about it. So I immediately went over there and my dad didn’t know what was going on and the technician told me that he could tell something wasn’t right. The technician called his boss and the boss said that my brother (who self medicates) said it was okay. No. The salesman doesn’t know what goes on in my family and should never overlook things when they just don’t seem right. After that I has to move my dad to a senior company so he wouldn’t get taken advantage anymore in his house by people who “self medicate” and brinks wants $200 to transfer his account or pay $4000 to get out the contract. This is what people are doing to senior citizens these days. Ridiculous. Not to mention my dad already has ADT! Brinks should have just left it alone and stop the competition that my elderly father now has to pay for.

One of the worst experience.
All this experience has been really disappointing. From the moment a man knocked on the door my mom (who does not speak much English) tried to recline her offer but the man asked him many things with which my mom did not understand and tried to answer some of the things he told her so the man began to fill things that afternoon another man arrived to install a tablet, door sensors, and a doorbell with a camera. We started with the doorbell camera never worked we changed houses and we had to pay for the installation of the new house (it was supposed to be free) and then if we wanted to put the doorbell with the camera we had to pay a separate amount to be able to install it. To all that before changing we called to cancel (according to the man we could cancel whenever we wanted) after trying to cancel it came out that we had a contract for 5 years. but if we want to cancel it we need to paid everything that is 3,744 dollars. I feel that is very unfair that they take advantage of people who don't know much about the language. the service is also very bad and really expensive.

Great app - easy to use
I love the app and would rate it a 5+ if it would allow seeing every frame on camera SVR playback when scrolling. My prior security system allowed this (just like your phone camera does when you are scrolling through a video). If you are looking for something on the saved video, it is awesome to have the frame by frame option. With this app the screen is blank as you scroll. Yes, it has a high speed option up to x16, but that is literally useless when trying to locate something on the saved camera video and you have no clue what day or time it happened. For instance, coming home from being out of town for a week we noticed some sort of critter burrowed under the driveway. So far we have been unable to get a clear view to identify the critter when it comes and goes. If I could scroll frame by frame this would be easy to locate. Please consider adding this change. Thank you.

Poor service
Partition 1 which is in my garage leading to the laundry room door. Brinks text me that there was motion activation. I had set the alarm for arm away when I left today, I went and saw it was on arm stay now-so I disarmed and rearmed it on arm away right away to see if another motion appeared. However I did not know if somebody was in my house, so I called for assistance. Not only could I not hear the woman on the phone speaking, she was hard to understand. After speaking with her explaining the issue, she said she would have to transfer me to technical support. I was on the phone on hold 23 minutes until I was disconnected. I did not call back because at this point- whom ever was in my house could have stole everything by that time!!!! I don’t know the point of a security system if I’m sitting on hold for 25 minutes and they could possibly be robbing me. If I could get out of this contract with this company I would- it’s awful!!!! So I guess when I get home from work I find out if I’m robbed or not!!! AWFUL!

It’s great but…
I use this for my home and it’s great and all but it was supposed to be a upgrade from at&t since they are shutting down the alarm system. They don’t have an automatic set alarm and it’s annoying constantly setting it up myself every night. It also records every-time something goes by the front of my house. I changed it in the settings and now it won’t save any recordings anymore. Also they should set up a support chat but the text support they have is so useless because you can’t chat with someone or they don’t have the option you want help with. It’s annoying that you have to call for everything, it’s supposedly been set up for 10 years already and they don’t have that basic thing already. Another thing is you have to go on a website to manage other things instead of having everything on the app.

Not Worth a Penny
Where to even begin with this terrible waste of money… 1) When my phone alerts there is movement, it never fails that I can’t launch the camera. If there were trouble outside my door, I’d be fully murdered and thrown in a lake by the time my app could show me who was there. 2) Unlike Blink or Ring, you cannot set sensitivity and/or recording zones. This means that you are one breezy tree away from non-stop notifications. We’ve turned off our backyard camera completely because the curtain sways too much for Brinks’ liking. 3) It is impossible to “delete all” saved videos. I literally have hundreds of clips that need to be deleted manually. It’s become a hobby for whenever I’m bored. My high score was getting back an entire month before I gave up. I rue the day when the sales people knocked on the door and my polite, gullible self answered. If you are lucky enough not to have yet signed away three precious years of your life to Brinks, consider this a warning: DON’T.

Notification sound too quiet
I’ve had Brinks for years, and I always found the app to be quite user-friendly. With the last iOS update the notification sound is now different within the app. I have searched the Internet to try to figure out how to change the notification tone. It looks like it is a tone that is set by the app developer. The new tone is very quiet. The whole idea of having an alarm system is to be aware of when things are happening. I am very disappointed that there is now a tone that will not wake me up or alert me when there is unusual activity at my front door or garage. I hope that with the next update there will be in ability to change to a notification tone of my liking. because of this, I can only rate this app as three stars.

Horrible App
This app lacks user friendliness. It’s not easy to navigate due to the way the app has been organized. Setting recording rules for cameras is a joke. Clip recording length is set to only 30 seconds which isn’t long enough to see what’s happening when someone lingers within the recording zones. Cameras also don’t allow for two-way talking or sound. The app is very poorly designed and getting help from customer support nearly takes an act of Congress which today will never happen because Congress can’t agree on anything. Brinks is only concerned about getting you to set up auto payments. Their knowledge base is pathetic just like this app. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow you to restart the system which is necessary at times. Resetting notifications on what to record or be notified of is a joke. The system completely ignores your changes.

New Customer Pain Points
I have had Brinks for two months now, and I have a couple of issues: Every utility I have, including Vivint Security in my shop, has an app bill pay option. Brinks does not, and it is a terrible inconvenience. I suspect it is to encourage auto bill payment, which I don’t like and have to pay more per month for not using it. However, at least add the option to the app. My three stars was for no bill pay. This is for Brinks in general. OMG: The phone support and online website BrinksHome chat have brutal wait times. I had a chat session up for 40 minutes, while at the same time waiting for Brinks on hold with the phone. I finally got through on the phone after 40 minutes and gave up on chat.

Scammers and thieves
They sell you equipment that is very cheesy . The doorbell camera stopped working after 3 months. They told me it was my internet so I went out and got a better internet provider well my doorbell camera was still having issues. I went out and bought my own doorbell camera and it worked so I called and and canceled my contract . They had no authorization to withdraw money from my account once the contract ended . But they made 2 withdrawals. I called them and told them they weren’t authorized to take from my account and they wouldn’t not return my money they stole from me . They sell you crap equipment and you can’t even do half the things you want with the system they provide. So if you like being ripped off than chose brinks but if you want a great security system for half the price go with ring or Siri . Big X !!! For brinks

ADT > Brink
We had ADT for many years and had no issues with our panel, or sensors. We switched to Brink a few days ago and have had multiple false alarms, glass breaking sensors going off in the middle of the night while were asleep, and again the glass breaking sensor going off while we were at work. Both were false alarms. Nothing quite like being deep asleep in the middle of the night counting sheep and then waking up in a panic thinking you're about to count the amount of people trying to break into your house. We were told we were receiving a better / “new and improved” system and better service with Brink, but it’s been nothing but a downgrade, and a hassle, not to mention the phone service, getting hung up on by customer support and waiting on hold for ridiculously long wait times. What a joke, I feel scammed honestly.

Horrific Customer Service
Using Paperless billing? Beware!!! Had a credit card hacked using auto pay. Payment request was denied by the bank. Realizing there would be an issue made an online payment with the new card. Default response from the company, send a paper bill with a late fee for two straight months without a notice on the app, an email or a phone call. First call I get, settle past due amount and told it was my fault I didn’t call to set up auto pay with a person after I had paid two months earlier with the new card and was already enrolled in auto pay previously. After the payment was made and the system said I had zero balance when I called back to verify, I received three additional calls within 4 hours requesting the same payment. These are the people protecting your home.

I miss AT&T digital life we were basically forced to convert or purchase all brand new everything now I wish I would’ve I guess it’s not too late ….brinks customer service is fake and not consistent you get a new story every time you call even within the same hour clearly they don’t communicate on a net work customer service agents make up their own replies which are always fake such as customer service agents allegedly scheduled me three different installations because they missed all three but they were never even scheduled they just lie to you to get you off the phone At the end of the day I am disgusted with AT&T for selling their company and customers to Brinks A complete fail just shows were nothing but a number I definitely don’t try to trust Brinks to monitor my home good luck

Very difficult to navigate
Very difficult to navigate. The sensor names on the panel do not match the sensors names on the app. I spent an 1 1/2 with a rep on the phone and they could not completely help me. My CO, Fire, Glass sensors don’t show up on my app and the rep could not figure how to fix it. I have tried numerous times to change the recording parameters and I cannot find where it is in the app. Also it only save the last 25 clips even though I have changed it to 7 days numerous times. Getting anyone on the phone takes hours and typically is not helpful unless you find the right person. There are no videos on the app to help navigate the app. Also the app itself changes without warning and functions you could do before are not longer available.

Brinks app on iPhone
I am very disappointed with switching over to Brinks from ADT, as the app on my iPhone is consistently not loading and just showing a blank white screen. This basically leaves my security system unusable as I cannot control or do anything with the system from my phone. I’vedeleted and reinstalled the app numerous times as well as making sure I have the current iOS uploaded on my phone. I’ve even spoken with the help center to try and get it resolved, they just said they were having technical issues on their end and it should be good to go within a few hours. Well, the problem still persist, so I’m left with writing this review in hopes that there is something that can be done about the software and the app.

Customer service is an absolute joke.
Called earlier today to get my doorbell fixed, a helpful agent helped me resolve that problem but a couple of hours later… I’m getting phantom rings on my doorbell. My dogs are going crazy with every ring… not to mention I have a newborn so let me tell you this is NO FUN to deal with right now. I’ve been on the phone with them for over an hour, the lady I was speaking to has had me on hold for over 45 min. She’s waiting for me to hang up because I can hear the occasional “silence” where I know she’s checking to see if I’m still here. I’m staying on this phone call (while texting another agent) so I can get screenshots of the time as well as hoping it reflects back on her customer service. I am honestly so over this company.

Cameras
Your representative Michael McCauley came to my house and represented himself as a Brinks representative, and talked me into switching from ADT to Brinks. The only reason I switched from ADT to Brinks was because I was told I getting two free cameras.. the cameras aren’t Brinks they are Blinks. I was also told i did not have to notify ADT, he would do that for me, he didn’t notify ADT and I was charged another month by ADT. When I realized they were not Brinks I was told they would be replaced by Brinks at no charge to me. This was almost a month ago and every time I call, they tell me someone has to call me back , no one has called me back yet. I think this is a SCAM. I am still waiting on someone to call me back. Terrible customer service
I have being trying to cancel my account for the past 6 months! I would constantly call and be on hold for 45 minutes waiting for someone help me cancel my account. When I finally would get ahold of the Customer Service Representative to initiate the cancellation process, they would drag out the process by attempting to convince me to remain their customer after I repeatedly told them I was not interested. Once they realized they could not influence my decision to cancel, they would put me on hold and transfer me to the supervisor to finish the process. While waiting to be transferred on multiple occasions, the phone call conveniently gets disconnected and I need to initiate the process all over again.

Buyer beware
Predatory made up contracts. App that rarely works right, substandard equipment. Continuously increasing price because I wasn’t under contract, then when I called to cancel suddenly I was on one. They make it up as they go along. If your alarm goes off don’t expect them to move quickly. And if you don’t pick up the phone after setting it off, they just assume it was a mistake and don’t do anything. I can’t express it enough. Buyer beware. Ohh and when you cancel they try to keep you in a new contract for over 90% discount - with emails about every 3 days. So go act like you’re canceling and enjoy the discount if you actually like them. If they can offer to monitor for under $10 but under contract wanted to charge me $70, shady.

Disappointed
In my opinion this app is useless compared to the ATT app we’ve been using. ATT’S app was much easier to use…set up schedules and pay your monthly bill. For the time BRINKS has been around and knowing that ATT would be sending their customers over to them, they should have had better solutions…answers…and all of the kinks worked out ahead of time. The only positive thing I have to say is the installer that came out was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. He was willing to answer any questions we had concerning the equipment. Thanks Mr. Ron for your kindness and professionalism during your visit in our home. LOOKING for some improvement’s soon.

Garbage
I would give this app no stars if I could but it won’t let me do that so this start I’m giving them they don’t deserve it. This app and this company is completely garbage. We tried to cancel it and when asked to cancel they said oh sorry our system is down and we can’t do it right now and that’s every time we call to cancel. Really annoying. service is not the best we had it over a year now and this still haven’t installed everything they said they would so we just over it and want to cancel and they won’t let us but they always take the money out of our account. So if you think about getting brinks for security I highly recommend NOT TO GET IT. Look somewhere else.

Navigation is HORRIBLE!
As many times as I’ve been on this app to try and do the simplest of things, there is NO WAY to find a way to find or do it simply. I’m so frustrated!!!! Never had a problem until I updated my router AND changed my service…boy was THAT a mistake…never had a problem with changing a router or anything like that…but the minute I changed my service provider…I’ve been 2 MONTHS WITHOUT ANY SECURITY all because it won’t connect and I can’t navigate through this app…the old way app was so easy…but these companies don’t like easy…they think everything needs to be better and then they screw it up even worse…LEAVE WHAT WORKS ALONE!!!! UGH!!!

What I like about Brinks alarm
I have had other companies in the past and my experience with Brinks home alarm has been the best. I like the speed in sending me emails and texts when turning alarm on or off. I like the notifications sent to me whenever a door or window is opened which is usually not opened. It knows my pattern so I get notifications if the front door or garage door are opened at an unusual time.

Help!
My camera stopped working about a month after you installed them. We have made multiple attempts to have them replaced, or repaired, to no avail. Please take care of our problems or we will find a new company who will. Our last company did the same thing to us, expect us to put up with cameras that didn’t work, and that’s why we changed to your company. please get with it and take care of your cameras because we like your company and would like to stay. It could be much better
What I love about the service/app/doorbell is when it goes out due to weather (which it should not) it reconnects itself. Coming from using Spectrum/Ring that’s a plus. The Con is just like ring it does not record every frame, takes a long time to load when checking to see whose at the door, it’s not safer but more convenient to just look out of the window. As with most things they work great in the beginning. I haven’t purchased anything new except more WiFi, but of course the advice is always the same, it’s not the alarm it’s your internet provider. 😑

The app is ok but the company is a cult like system stay away!!!!
Brinks will get you to sign an outrageously long contract and then when you system stops working properly they will not notify you. In fact when you call to ask about it they will tell you “ they think it’s working”. When I called to cancel due to the fact that I had no service for months and they could not get a tech out to me for at least 3 months they told me my contract states that I actually don’t have to have a working service to have to pay. This has been a nightmare and short of hiring a lawyer I’m out of luck. Save yourselves because brinks certainly won’t!!!

Video feed is not long enough
The video feed is too short it stops while the delivery person is still on the property we don’t know the finish video of what happened with our delivery of how many boxes exactly was delivered because we are short of a delivery. This happened on the 6 Jan. Also. The videos are not synced to current. Do I need to update something.

Very disappointed
There is nothing about this app that makes sense. The video viewing is cumbersome. You can’t just scroll or slide to the next video without closing the video you are watching. Sometimes I will get videos several hours later or the next that didn’t show up initially. Generic security cameras and apps work much better and are easier to use. I am planning on returning thus Brinks camera and sticking to other cam and apps. Very disappointed in the Brinks cams and app. I had AT&T previously. Although AT&T had its minor issues, that system and app was much better. I hope Brinks takes these reviews seriously.

Customer service
Brinks has the most unprofessional customer service representative. I am so tired of being with a company that monitors your alarm system with the most rude customer service ever. They get smart with you on the phone like you are bothering them because you the customer ask questions and want help with what’s going on with your system. Most of the representative doesn’t know what they are talking about. The don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to helping the customer with there product they send to you just terrible terrible will not do business again or recommend this company.

It's great at times I'll forget to set and it gives me a reminder thank goodness..i love it because I can keep an eye if anyone is in my home hiding before I get there and it's also the best due to it telling me that the windows were broken out or a vibration throughout my home went off on my ceiling I highly recommend this device .love brings in a single mom and it helps

Good except for New recording rule needed and storage
Would be nice to have a recording rule triggered by a sensor like when the front door is open camera records who is coming in. Also if you are going to limit storage clips to monthly limit why not just do a rolling first in first out when limit is reached. Sometimes weekly landscapers can eat up most of clip limit or just sitting in backyard ( do I always have to remember to pause recording??)

Somethings changed
I recently found out that Brinks has a new partner. I’m not sure if it’s the merger of the two companies? Or new hardware are the culprit on how badly my app now works. Not only are there delays in trying to see what my cameras are rejecting but in the review process, it takes forever to download or I have to log out of the app and log back into it just so that I can see what my out side my home. I’ve become very unhappy with this service, and I may be looking for something new.

Thermostat won’t set to auto from app
We had AT&T before brinks and used the automation features. Through the Brinks app you can only set the thermostat to heat or cool. You can’t set the system to auto and if you make any changes on the app you can’t go back once it’s changed. The only way to change or set the thermostat to auto is through the main panel.

Brinks system
We moved into a house with an existing system - that needed updating. We thought we would update it and use the set up. Extremely hard to get hold of support, people don’t arrive for appointments, then u wait another week for another appointment - then that person didn’t turn up. System very hard to navigate to add a second user. Support not helpful - and Brinks locks u in for 3 year contract before you can get the system set up so you can’t cancel. Only my husband had access on phone to remote monitor …. Very frustrating. My Ring system in the old house was SO EASY.

I Would Recommend This App
I Would Recommend This App. It keeps me in the know about when my windows or doors have been opened or closed. It tells me when my garage door has been left open. Very helpful when living with someone who forgets. The alarm system seems to work just fine. I haven’t had any break ins so can’t expand on that.

Very disappointed about the customer service Azul empl #1070 and not helpful technical supports , can’t do anything about the security system , only 7 seconds can record the saved video , it’s useless 😆 and nonsense and hard to talk to anyone not 24/7 and no live person . Asked for longer recording video at least more than 7seconds but their system that offering was only for short instant clip . Very frustrating and not helpful at all .Wish to terminate the contract and not recommend at all. Just paying your monthly service fee for nothing . It’s a waste of money .

Brinks is NOT comparable to Digital Life Security
Brinks stops recording clips instead of deleting older recorded clips within a month. This is NOT the security we were promised when AT&T discontinued Digital Life Security. Very disappointed with Brinks “so called” security service. Do not refer anyone to Brinks Security who expects or needs recordings to view throughout the month.

Good but missing the automation that DigitalLife had
App is not bad and I like lots of the features Brinks has. It’s also nice not having that gigantic DLC in my laundry room. But I sure do miss the programs that DigitalLife had. I was able to set up programs to automate everything. Programs to set it at a specific time and disarm at a specific time. I REALLY miss that. Hoping Brinks brings that feature to make a really good alarm package a really great alarm package.

Needs Work
My husband and I have used this app for 3 years now, in the last couple of months it has become a pain to use. It’s always advising that our connection is slow, yet we’ve had our internet reviewed many times. If we go onto Brinks website themselves on a desktop it works great. It’s very frustrating when trying to use this app and it doesn’t connect. Considering going to another type of camera and app that we don’t have this continuing issue with.

What features?!
App has very little beneficial features. No text notifications instead of email notifications of when a zone is opened. If you have multiple keypads, the settings are universal. So you can’t have different settings for each. Auto set for a certain time would be very nice to have. I’m only looking for simple features that are standard with other companies. Willing to change my rating once these simple yet helpful features are added.

Quality of camera system and extremely poor customer service
After contacting brinks security numerous times with safety concerns about cameras not working properly I received extremely poor customer service with complete disregard to my concerns and was consistently transfer to different department without notice, camera system doesn’t record accurately especially in time of need and received no help from brinks and was only told we were in contract so there was no help offered , strongly do not recommend this company for you home security

Robbery
They service is horrible you do not get a great connection as well as you don’t get the amount of equipment you expect for the cost. When the contract is up they continue to charge you for 30 days after you cancelled although you are no longer in a contract. But continue to tell you per your contract what contract my contract ended July 2023 so make that make sense. How are you charging people if a new service provider is connected in my house. I will be obtaining an attorney if this bill is not adjusted and filling a class action law suit.

Brinks peace of mind
Brinks is the third company to monitor my home security system in about seventeen years. The blue patch gives a reassuring message to would-be interlopers that quality technology is on hand to detect their presence. My only complaint is brinks charging too much for a home visit in the event of a malfunction. My other two companies didn’t do so.

Check a lot before buying brinks
After I got the contract signed and paid the almost $1,000 for equipment,only upon setting up the appointment to set up my alarm system is when I got told oh no we can’t you need a alarm system PERMIT in the area you live.. I thought they should of known that and told me before I bought it all… still paying 5 months now no permit .. so they can’t contact police even if I needed ..

It’s good unless you want to customize.
If you change the password on your home router, you will lose the doorbell camera function. I cannot find a place to update the password. So, I tried deleting the doorbell camera to reinstall it. But I, the master account holder, do not have permission to install anything. On top of that snafu, the alarm siren, when activated, is loud in one direction only. It does not disturb us if we are upstairs or in the master bedroom. I cannot wait to get out from under the contract.

Video Text messaging doesn’t work anymore
Our family is very unhappy that the video text messaging doesn’t work anymore. You have to look at a url link now to see why a camera motion sensor goes off now and it also now expires if you have to go back to it. Looking into another service as this doesn’t help prevent fast detection of property damage. Contacted the company to find out why and they blamed it on all cell phone providers as the reason the text messages no longer show the recorded videos.

POOR CUSTOMER SERBICE SUPPORT
The control panel failed at 2:00 AM this morning, waking me with a panel tampering alarm which is false. When I attempted to shut off the alarm alert, the panel went blank is no longer serviceable. After over 1 hour to the tech department and a supervisor, the only solution I got was to spend at least $200 for a technician to make a service call. I only discovered the price after my inquiry when the rep said they needed to send out tech. Tfe app still shows tfe alarm is armed although it is not. We are very disappointed in BRINKS

Order never delivered
I ordered new door sensors and an outdoor 1 1/2 month ago and have called multiple times to set up up the install. Was originally told they would call to set a time and date. Also was told I would not be billed for the new equipment till it was installed. Was billed the following month. I will never suggest brinks to a friend or neighbor. Very disappointed with the customer service. On hold currently trying to get everything fixed which a call to brinks usually takes an hour for the most simple request.

Video playback limited
Being allowed only a certain number of video uploads for the month then being cut off completely until the next month is great for criminals who know there won’t be any video of them if they break in at the end of the month. Additionally, you have to delete each video individually to allow space, which is very tedious and time consuming. I’m very frustrated because I need video proof of activity happening this week, but it’s the end of the month, so I have nothing!
