This is one of the worst apps for a financial business that I’ve ever came across. Whomever developed this clearly did not know what they were doing. Nothing about this app is synced with my online account. I have my bank info saved online for easier payments, but I have to enter it every time in this app. Also, I make my payment only to find out there apparently was something wrong and the payment failed to process. I received a confirmation number and all and there was no notification in the app that something was wrong. Then when I call to see why it hasn’t processed in my bank, they offer to do a payment by phone for $20, which they waive the fee but tell you to call it in next time to avoid any delays. I am not paying $20 to make a payment when you have an app for convenience that you can’t seem to get working properly. Fix your app and be a better company with some convenience features for your clients.
I totally agree with other users about this app. Besides the non-saving of account login and banking info, here was the sucker punch for me: two times they had an issue with a payment. First time, I was short by 50 cents; second time I was off one number on my checking account. BOTH times they sent me a payment confirmation that they recieved my payment then secretly reversed it without notifying me there was a problem thus allowing me the opportunity to fix it. I pay early so I had time to wait for it to debit and caught it but jeez, are they so hungry for late fee money that they completely miss the meaning of customer service. My loan landed with them so no choice there. They could greatly improve this app.
This banking app is desperately in need of an update. I have to type in both my user name and password every time; it does not remember user names or use Face ID. I also have to type in all of my bank information every single month to make an individual payment, including the bank name, city, state, routing number, and my checking account number. I can’t imagine that in 2021 they think this app provides an acceptable user experience. Even the most basic utility companies prove a better experience. I just happen to be unfortunate that my mortgage was sold and they administer the loan so this is what I’m stuck with.
Sign In Difficult, Won’t Work with Password Managers
I use a password manager to store all of my unique passwords. Most websites and apps work with this manager without issue. Not this app from BSI Financial. It won’t prompt me for inserting my login details directly nor can I manually copy my password and paste it into this app…it won’t let you paste anything into the password text field, PERIOD. I won’t type my long, random password and am left to use their website instead. Very little info available once inside anyway. Might as well not even have an app if it’s this hard to log into and use.
Hasn’t been updated in over a year for one. You can’t save payment accounts and have to type in every single bit of information each time to make a payment. The login screen is awful. No biometric login and the login doesn’t even let you use your saved email and password from your phone. It will erase whatever you tap on first. The website isn’t any better. We refinanced our house and this is what our our mortgage was “sold to” from our application (this is normal). I never thought I’d say I miss Wells Fargo, but I do.
I made a payment last month through the app and because it requires me to input my routing and account number every time apparently it didn’t process. I called BSI a week later when I noticed that my mortgage didn’t clear my bank. I was told the payment I made was reversed without my knowing. I now have to call to dispute the negative mark on my credit report. I really can’t stand when I refinance and are given to these small companies. I’m an online/app user to pay bills so I can’t stand a clunky website/app. BSI please do better!
BSI finance website needs to do a lot of improvements. The mobile app is completely out of touch. I made two payments on the mobile app and posted as cash receipt staying with BSI. It didn’t apply towards my monthly payment due. I had to call in to disputing the payments. BSI is very small company which didn’t want to spend money to improve the website. If the website is easy and friendly then it doesn’t need a lot of customer service representatives which would save a lot of money.
This app could use a lot of improvements just to be minimally useful. The login screen won’t work with a password manager like LastPass. BSI does not store bank information to make it easier to make payments quickly. Etc etc. Here’s a tip: don’t create additional friction when you want people to give you money. Your app should make it as simple as possible for your customers to give you money.
Passwords and bank information aren’t stored, thereby forcing manual entries every time which is very frustrating. Also, once a payment is completed, a prompt will pop up with a confirmation number but will still keep you on the submit page where someone could easily mistakenly pay twice. Needs improvements and updates desperately!
This app is the worst. Looks like it got stuck in 2012 or something. Doesn’t remember any of the account data, credit card, etc so you need to put it in each time. It’s slow and some of the functions don’t even work. You guys really need to work on getting this updated.
This app is frustrating. Just trying to login you cannot paste your password in from a password manager. Regularly freezes or goes to a white screen. While technically it allows you access to your account it is clunky and not worth the hassle.
This app is so far behind in its technology. One major issue is that it won’t integrate with iOS “app & website passwords” data. It won’t allow Touch or Face ID usage. The app itself is very limited for a banking app. It’s almost easier to call in and make a payment that way. Hope to see improvements soon.
This app could be better constructed and ore customer friendly than it currently is. It requires me to enter my bank account information every time I make a payment with no option to save. You also cannot look at multiple tabs at one time (balance, escrow, etc). Please try to improve this app for the customers.
You can tell that the company put minimal effort into developing this, and their website is very similar. Not intuitive, very outdated and difficult to use. Going from the mr. cooper app to this one felt like regressing. Avoid using this mortgage company if you can, hopefully my mortgage gets sold back to mr. cooper so I don’t have to deal with this company much longer.
Definitely needs an upgrade. App does not remember latest checking bank information to make a payment so you have to search for the info every single time. Becomes very frustrating. App is way too basic.
This is worse app ever. They need lots of update in this app. We can’t see any details about account. And all they time you have to enter your bank information manually. They need to make lots of updates and features.
Will not remember any payment / account info or login info to make making payments quick and convenient. Whats the point of an app if it’s not convenience? Can do the same thing on the website or mailing a check. Needs some improvement for sure.
Oh my gosh! I despise this App! Apparently this bank is to cheap or doesn’t care to make the payment process easier. Every month I have to enter my banking info, nothing can be saved! Uuuh🤬
The worst financial app out there. Can’t use password mangers, very little detail. This company is not in the digital age. Their app, there digital services, digital self service. These guys need to come to the modern age.
Haven’t been able to do anything with this app. After entering my log in info, I get a “session timed out” error. What a joke. Why even have an app option????
My initial review with constructive criticism wouldn’t post. Every month I use it though, It reminds me of how much you could stand to improve this app.
It’s really unfortunate my mortgage was sold to this company BECAUSE THEY ARE AWFUL! This is the worst app, with the most problems I’ve ever encountered. You can’t save your payment method, and they don’t offer to save your username and password for future use. The app doesn’t even offer debit card payments but only through your bank account. It’s a pain in the butt all around each month, and I can’t wait till I don’t have to deal with them anymore. If you have the choice, go somewhere else!
