The Best Game On Mobile

Honestly, I can’t stop playing this game. I’ve been addicted for two straight months and I’m still playing it! Strategy is key to anything, and this game clearly proves it. It takes over a month to win and finish one game, and everyone is trying to overtake 1st place (unless you just don’t care about any game and leave the game right at the beginning, which happens often). If you have no strategy, there’s most likely no chance of victory. I like the idea of making coalitions so you can team up with allies and conquer the world that way. There’s way to much to say what is actually good about this game, because just about everything is amazing! But I mean just about. I ran into an issue where for no reason, the game would reload into the worse graphics. It feels more difficult that way. It doesn’t happen once, it happens until either it finally changes back into enhanced graphics, or it crashes the entire game. I’m not sure if anyone has this issue, but it sure is quite annoying. Despite that (and a couple of other issues I don’t know how to word), the game is possibly the best mobile free game I’ve ever played. What’s also nice is not having an ad pop up in your face every 2 seconds. It’s just as fun as playing on pc. I recommend that everyone should get this game, it’s worth every second!

Great Game, But some bugs... please read

About a week ago I found my old copy of Hearts of Iron 4 and it made me want to play it but I didn’t have my pc system anymore, I really wanted to play that game so i looked it up on the app store just to see if anything would pop up. Instead of finding a exact copy on the iPhone I found this game. I have now been playing it for a wee and have loved it. This is the best game that I have on my phone now. I have gotten a few of my friends to play and the game is the best online game for the iPhone. I do wish that there were more options for some things, I wish there was some kind of political system where you can see and decide who the leader of your country is and what political system they follow and you and your other like minded players can spread your ideas. I also wish there were better ways to get resources faster. The only two annoying bug that I have ran into so far is, every time that you try to type, it works just fine then it has a white box under the rest of the game and it wont go away. The other one is, when you go to look at the coalitions, you cant scroll down. So you can only see the top seven coalitions on the iPhone, but over all it is the best mobile phone game.

Being robbed by the game

So the situation is me and my son both play this game we both entered the match together at the same time. There’s rules posted about using multiple accounts. I read these rules. Me and my son did not violate any of them. We didn’t trade resources. He took his own territory why I took my own. The only thing we did was drop him from our alliance to make room for two other players to complete a five player coalition, then my son went on his own messaging other people trying to make his own coalition. We just spent over $200 and were in a major battle. When I wake up both mine and my sons account or suspended with no explanation with no questions, no explanation. Why both accounts are suspended and my friends on discord that we group with telling me my money was wasted because my armies are being killed due to the game suspending both accounts, so I’m very disappointed with the game. They let other players manipulate them because I was beating them and they cheated using the game and it’s been five hours now with no response from the game so the money is wasted so I would not recommend this game if you plan on spending any type of money.

Great game with great people, except for a few

This game is probably the best strategy game I’ve ever played. While it may seem like some kind of cash grab mobile game from the ads, it is actually a very complex and fun real time World War II strategy game that you can play with real, human players that you can interact with and even talk to over dms in-game. However, some of these people are better than others. Like in real life, people will become your ally only to backstab you in the end. Some players are just straight up toxic and destroy your nation just to destroy it and then make fun of you for losing. While I do love this game, I stopped playing because of some of the people. Don’t think for a second, though, that there aren’t also amazing people who play this game. You’ll just run into bad apples along the way. Each game you play is also ALWAYS completely different than the last because of the endless possibilities with politics and warfare you can get into. Anyways, amazing game. Definitely 5 stars. PS this game is only as pay to win as you make it, you can get around gold users by being skilled in the game. And that’s the truth.

Major Issue

A fun game for strategy lovers, but plagued with problems, at least on mobile (what I use). Usually your phone becomes warm when you play a game right? But when your phone goes warm with this game, it crashes. It force changes your settings for no reason, lags badly, and then gives either a black or white screen. I have never experienced this issue with games before. I can play games that load much more and take much more space on my phone that never give me an issue for hours and hours. Ten minutes on this thing is laggy, add another 5-10 and your crashing and can’t play until your phone is comeplety cool. You can’t use your phone during that time either cause that keeps the phone warm. Also, this is in an air conditioned room. If your like me and have been to literal deserts and much hotter places than a.... air conditioned room. You know how fast that phone warms (like 1 minute) which already is the end of your game playing time for this game. (For reference, I am using an IPhone 7+, and I always play with the case off so no issue with cause making it to hot.) Edit: I also want to say that the more colorful graphic version lags my phone badly, but right now I can’t even switch to the working graphics because now they also cause me to crash. I am now having this issue even when my phone is not hot.

The best strategy game on mobile

I found this game when I was in quarantine, and have played it virtually nonstop, and loved every second of it. This game is great because you have lots of choices on what you want to do, and the fact that you can interact and form coalitions with actual people is great, not just bots. There will be some bots in your games, but they’re easy to conquer and will not be a big deal if you aren’t fighting on two fronts. If you don’t like to have to wait 7hrs for your tank to produce, 5 for your AA gun, then you’ll love swift strike. It takes much less time to move units, produce, research and build things like barracks. The only somewhat major drawback to the game is pay to win. This is not much of a problem though, as a surprise attack from two other nations could bring you down, even if you have high command and lots of gold, I know from experience. So if you have ever played games like hoi4, (hearts of iron 4) then you will enjoy this game!

If people weren’t able to use gold then this game would be good

This game is literally pointless to play if you’re not willing to spending $100 a game on gold to use to fight against other kids that are doing the same. You’ll be playing, building up your army and economy, and then the player next to your nation will use gold to have max level buildings on that day and and unbelievable amount of troops that is impossible to have at that point in time if they were playing normally and then you get wiped out because they send their troops at you and if you somehow survive the initial assault then they just hold up huge stacks of troops instantly to throw at you again and you lose. It’s happened to me each game I’ve played now. There are forums where players are asking for a NO GOLD MODE or maybe something where you need to spend gold to join this specific match but then cannot spend it in game but the developers choose to ignore that suggestion by players. This is why people leave and stick around on this game. If that day ever actually comes then I’d change my review but for now it’s easily a 1 star since you can’t win unless you spend 100s of dollars a match when you’re playing against real players aka the game becomes unplayable. Until they make a no gold mode, everyone STAY AWAY and don’t waste your time like I did

many bugs and problems

I think the game is great but there are some problems! 1.) the inactivity in this game is so terrible that in a lobby of 22 it is just me and my coalition that are still active. At a rare time there will be two other guys who are still playing. This makes the game boring. 2.) High command and those with good money to spare are always going to win unless you are allies with them. It was day 10 and I was already attacked by 20 artillery and many other units. I stood no chance. 3.) The newspapers are quite offensive with players calling other countries and players terrible things like fascist and things like that. 4.) creating and alliance has never been so difficult in any other game. I have created like 20 names and it keeps telling me that is is invalid or some is already using it!! I started to searchI got names on the internet desperate that it would accept it but it kept saying the same thing. They need to fix this so I can make an alliance!m and so others can too!!! DO NOT TELL ME TO GO TO SUPPORT BECAUSE I DO NOT GET RESPONSES. So if they respond with telling me to go support then you know it is bots responding and not the devs. Please fix this and not respond with some nonsense that is not important.

The help team is absolutely horrible

I got banned from a global chat on my phone for singing country roads with other people in a chat room..We were all having fun until somebody banned me from the chat room for talking in all caps, ...I wasn’t talking I was singing and having fun with a video game that takes 24 hours to move a character so chat rooms are what makes it fun at times, everyone in the chat room was even asking why I was banned...I then had to ask the help team a question about the game so I went to the help chat only to realize that when I got banned for doing what everyone else was doing I was banned from asking for help..so I realized I had the app on my steam account..I had a different account that I never used so I went to the help chat and asked why I was banned from asking for help on my other account and then immediately banned me from all chat rooms permanently because having two accounts is against the terms of service...I understand that because I hit agree, but what makes me angry is the fact that they never even answered my question, and not only that, I can still play on both accounts, they just banned me from talking to anybody on a chat room, so it’s s fun game yeah but just watch what you say in any chat room and make sure u don’t do what others are doing because u can and will get banned for dumb reasons

Fun, but needs solution for inactives

Many other reviews touched on why this game is very fun. The real time movement is nice, and allows you to really plan out what you want to do. Biggest issue is inactive players. Most maps are designed for 20 some players, but by the end of the first day at least half have gone inactive and then several more go inactive on the second day. These players are then just replaced by AI which are better than nothing I guess, but they are not as strategic or aggressive as real players, and they also cannot interact diplomatically, so it really waters down the game when there are 20+ armies but only like 6 active players and just a slew of non-threatening AI. I’d like to see the inactives replaced by real players. Yes, it is difficult to join an ongoing game, especially with a handicap of having an army that has been inactive for a couple days while everyone else has been growing theirs, but maybe offer some gold or other rewards for filling in, or especially if replacements manage to win, then there would at least be some incentive for them to join and keep games fully active.

Fix recommendation: Awesome game but..

So the game is great I recommend it but there’s a silly setup in the construction/production menu. Say you begin building a unit and up on the top of the menu you’ll see the unit being built and the remaining time it has. Here’s the thing to that goofy setup. To exit that menu you obviously have to hit “X” but exactly right below it is the “use gold to speed production button”. I went from 30k gold to 22k. Just because my fat finger hit it before the “X” :( I mean it’s my bad but maybe implementing a “Are you sure you want to use x amount of gold to speed production?” That should be put in whenever you choose to use gold. Because it gives the player that extra decision if he/she wants to go through with it. Just an idea being throw out there. :D The game however is awesome. I mean yeah gold being used in this game kind of makes it a pay to win but it’s whatever. It’s fun going against other players and forming powerful alliances. I do wish this app would be closer to what it’s like on the computer. I want to see each troop’s health rather than an average amount of morale.

Great game. Hot app. No really.

Great game. I’ve played the online version for years. So, I was excited to see an app was produced and I dove right in. Besides the bigs that others have mentioned (issues with white space after typing and not being able to scroll the coalition menu), I unfortunately picked up two very frustrating problems that have lead me to abandon the game. Firstly, within a matter of less than a minute of playing my phone would start to heat up. Like as in very, very hot. Unfortunately, the online version has also caused my acer laptop to over heat in ways I’m not used to have happen - leading to slow downs and random shut downs. I was playing a 100 person game that was 4x the usual speed and limited to two weeks - assuming the numbers of updates increased as well I’m wondering if that might have had something to with this? Either way, the heat that it’s causing in my laptop and phone can’t be good for my devices. Also, the app would constantly reboot. Screen would go white, followed by the familiar loading screen, and back to the game I was busy with. Not sure if it’s related to the over-heating issue, but super irritating.

Pretty good considering

I played 2 full rounds and have to say it was pretty fun. Most games on mobile devices are a money trap and this game wouldn’t be one if players would play fairly and not “buy gold” in order to speed up timers. I’ve played war games before that had no real purpose or end; this one does have an end which is nice. I know the developers need to get paid etc but I wish they would make a variation that charged players like $15-20 for a round and didn’t allow gold purchasing. This way they’d still make money but would keep players from getting fed up and leaving. When a player sees that they have no chance of winning without buying their way to victory like some players do they leave. A “Pay to play per round” could be an updated option that many serious players that actually have skill and brains would like. I probably would continue playing but know I won’t have a chance at winning without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars which I know some people do. That’s no fun.

Doctrines

I joined this game in November of 2018 and have played for usually about 8 months at a time and then fall off for a bit... Just yesterday I began playing again for the first time in probably 6 months and their are certainly differences. I agree with most of them but I don’t like the introduction of doctrines personally. I don’t feel like certain nations should have a ‘booster’ or ‘perk’ based off of a doctrine. I feel like it makes me less immersed in global, attritional combat and makes the game seem more arcadey. I’m sure I’m in the minority with this feeling so I’m fine with it being added, just please allow people to either toggle it off or join game modes that don’t have the doctrines in place. Personally I only really play 1939 Historic World War and a couple of event modes so as long as that has a non-doctrine mode I’m fine. Other then that I do like the majority of the improvements and despite the game still crashing a lot, it seems it doesn’t do it quite as much as before. That could also be bc I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an 11 PRO though 😂

Best game ever on AppStore

This is amazing, when you really try to learn this game and get a hang of the mechanics and how things work it’s amazing the strategy is there and I’ve had a game go on for 2 months and 12 days so plenty of time to get recourses and build provinces. I got a level 3 nuclear bomb and level 3 Nuclear bombers and dropped at least 25 nukes and they that 1 and a half days to produce. Each time my nuke hit a city everyone was notified it was in the news paper and it makes you feel like you really did something and changes the course of the game. 1 thing I would like more detail to is the news paper about violent uprising is certain provinces, it has 1 sentence that repeats a bunch of times to make it look like a paragraph and I would like that more detailed of the events that may of happened and more pictures there’s only like 5 different pictures that are always used. There are Thousands of pictures of WW2 and I would like to see more used other than that amazing game spent a little money on it and would recommend it thanks.

Fun, but BIG problems

This game is very fun for those who would like to take over the world, but it is VERY laggy. It used to be fine but over time got worse and worse. It’s bad to the point I can’t even log in a game anymore. Don’t think it’s my WIFI, my WIFI is just fine. it’ll log into the game for half a second then restart, then do the same thing but then sit in a black screen after and not do anything. This is very frustrating and I would really appreciate it if you fix this problem. If it helps my phone is an IPhone 7s+. Sure it’s kinda a little old but it’s never had problems like this until now. Another thing I would like to point out is the fact that that the game runs smoother in enhanced graphics mode and MUCH worse when disabled, and then every time there is a small lagg spike it’ll kick me off enhanced graphics to where it is much more laggy in unenhanced graphics (not sure if that’s a word). This could be the problem because it appears to be trying to kick me off enhanced graphics when the game crashes. Thank you and hope you fix these problems.

It’s really fun, but some moments make me question this games logic

This game is really fun! I have enjoyed playing this for quite a while now, but sometimes the game is weird. For example, this has happened many times and has become frustrating, sometimes the game thinks that the fastest way to get to a spot in a country is to go say around the WHOLE ATLANTIC! Even though you have already declared war on them. I tested it out, and I once sent my troops into Michigan to attack, but instead of going through their territory and taking multiple provinces, which would have taken 3 hours, told me to go around Michigan in the Great Lakes to get to the province. Also, I send my artillery and rocket artillery to attack a troop that had a question mark, aka I don’t know what it is, but it doesn’t show me what it is, even when MY TROOP IS ATTACKING IT!!! Other than that, this game is really fun and I really enjoy playing it!

Great game but....

This game is great strategy game. However, there Are several balancing issues with artillery and railroad gun. For people who really don’t know the game, almost every unit in this game have a counter to it. If someone have an army(consist of 10 units) of only tanks, build some anti tank gun. If someone have only aircraft, build some anti aircraft gun. You get the deal. It force you to think about having a balanced army which is a good think. However, if you survived into the late game(after day 8), you will probably run into players who will build multiple armies of either artillery or railroad gun, which you have absolute no counter to. They can kill literally armies at a distance away. It is a pain when trying to kill them because they just simply run away. This is especially true when trying to conquer enemy's territories when your armies is 50% slower. You can’t really kill them with aircrafts or rockets. Only way to have your own artillery armies. So it forces you to play the same way: artillery armies. This basically defeats the whole goal of what the game suppose to be.

Awful Customer Service

I played this for about 3-4 days. I purchased some game currency to produce some troops because the CPU nations kept declaring war on me one after another. 8 nations declared war. I noticed that the purchases weren’t giving me what I purchased. And were inconsistent. Then I noticed that it was taking currency waiting from me. I tried to file a ticket but it’s an automated bot and they say they’ll send a message in game. About 5-10 minutes later- they disabled my account bc I submitted a support ticket. Now I’ve wasted money. It seems this game is 100% a scam where the CPU declares war on you to get you to spend money then in my case after spending and noticing inconsistencies in the purchases and that the game currency would spend more than you used - they disable your account if you complain about it. I’ve reported this game to my credit card and bank. I’ve tried to get the game to refund me but they don’t respond. DONT DOWNLOAD AND PLAY. IF YOU DO- BEWARE OF SPENDING. It’s designed to make you spend with CPU nations declaring war on you and invading you. Then if you have issues and file a support ticket- they just disable you.

Best game on my tablet.

I love to play this game on my tablet for a long time everyday. I like that you play with real players. I love that they’re making new updates at least 3 times a month. That shows that you really want to make this game great. I just have a couple of issues: the first issue is that people really trash talk each other 1 in every 5 of my games. I really want that to stop. 2. I really want there to be a mode where you can’t spend gold, because I’ve played as Japan and Tibet beats me! And he’s twice as advanced me. I hope you can make at least a minimum amount of gold spending you could do. 3. People who are way more powerful than me promise that we’ll survive until the end and then they attack halfway through the game, and they think it’s funny. But this is a really fun game to play and I’ll play it continuously and I for sure recommend it.

New Update New Problems

Personally I like the update as it adds some fresh graphics which makes the game visually pleasing. Honestly I could stare at it all day! However there are 3 main issues: 1. Fog of war darkness needs to be amped up. I always keep it on but sometimes it’s hard to discern your territory from their’s because the shading will go all weird. 2. Some countries share colors. Now normally this isnt a problem but in this one match one country took a lot of land and ended up next to a country with the same color and shading. It was really confusing. 3. The “add army” selection doesn’t really work anymore. Sometimes the plus sign won’t pop up at all or it will only pop up for a small region around the selection target. Of course you could always tap the unit itself and it will select it, but this is not the case for small provinces as it will do the circle thing that asks if you want to select the province or the unit. This cancels the “add army” command which gets annoying.

Golden, but 1 thing…

Hello, I’ve been coming back to Call of War for a bit now but now I am just doing as good as I was back in the day. I love the real time strategy and the expansion of options us players can use, I myself love a good Naval-Air Force combo, to defeat said enemies. But one thing I recommend is to cancel attacks, while the troops are attacking. This just happened in a game not to long ago where me and a non coalition ally accidentally pressed peace whilst our troops were inside each others borders as of the right of way option. We have been trying to solve this for about 30 mins. and decided that the rest of the troops should just duke it out and then trade provinces when it’s over. Please consider this in y’all’s next update. I’m sure it will come in handy for beginners and clumsy player like myself. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Great game but could be better

I think this is a great game and works great on mobile. I play this game with my friends a lot and find it very fun. A few things I would add would be peace conferences, more politics, and A.I. Fighting. I think peace conferences would be a great thing so that you can give province’s to other A.I. And people.(puppet states would be cool too) I feel that the game has very little politics and that could be better by adding a bigger government and making it so that you can change government. The game could be so much better if the A.I. Would fight each other. The game is about world war 2 so I think it would be cool if the A.I. Would form coalitions against each other and then fight. Those are a few things that would make the game much better. This game has super good fighting but I wish that units didn’t have to go on the roads. Other then those things this game is better then most other games.

Great Game

This is the only review I have ever left on a game but only because I want to say how great of a job the devs did with this. I played Conflict of Nations Ww3 and this is way better for just a few reasons I’m about to mention. First, they don’t just throw you into the game and make you figure it out. There’s detailed explanation for why you build certain things. Second, the chances they give to earn gold each day help so much in-game when you don’t spend real cash on the game. Third, the sound effects(small detail I know)are great when you zoom in on certain units battling. The sounds are actually the sounds of the vehicle or planes in action and I mean distinct like you can tell the difference in a tank or mechanized infantry. One thing I would like added is 2x or 4x speed mode for players who want action a bit quicker. Thanks for the great game guys.

Best Strategy Game Period

I was a huge risk fan for most of my life and was browsing the App Store one day and found this. I played it and loved it from the start. I love the fact that you have to be persistent and intelligent in this game to win. It’s a very rewarding experience to win because of how long each game takes. Love having to manage economy, diplomacy, and military to win and I feel that each of those factors are balanced well. I also like that you don’t have to play the game for a long period of time daily to do well, makes the game flexible with real life and jobs and daily activities. Unless you are playing a super speed map you can get away with not logging on for a day. It’s so satisfying to work hard building economy early game and strategizing against other intelligent enemies to try to sneak attack them or exploit weaknesses. Can’t recommend it enough.

Wallet Warriors Ruin The Game

I absolutely love this game and the strategy involved with it. The one issue that I have with it is the gold system. I recently lost a game in which I had taken over the majority of the world with my coalition until we ran upon some of the last remaining resistance in South America. We figured we would plough through them, but we didn’t think that they would be gold users. One of my columns of troops was while out by his, leaving it at 15% strength. Simple, right? My reinforcements that arrived 30 minutes later encountered an enemy army at 95% strength?!!! Naturally I lost. There’s also my favorite in which I’m approaching a town that I have scouted and all of a sudden 8 tank destroyers pop out of it simultaneously and destroy me even though there was nothing there 3 seconds ago. If this game could fix its gold system it would be amazing, but until they can do that I can only give 2 stars. Even though the gameplay and strategy is amazing you cannot win unless you spend money.

Great game, for a certain group of people

Call of war is one of my favorite mobile games to play. Even though it’s fun there is a big issue… the main problem is that the games take too long for most people. I played it over winter break when I didn’t have school but couldn’t play much after. My school doesn’t allow phones in class so if I were to start a game over a weekend, when school comes around I’m unable to do anything for 7.5 hours straight(not including time for homework) Other than that there is another issue that could easily be fixed. I was at war with this one player and in the private chat the person was making extremely antisemitic things at me (I’m Jewish) and I tried to report him but there was no button to report other than the game chat. So overall, great game but with some issues that could be easily fixed.

Fantastic Mobile Game

The game is historically accurate, and the choices are honestly endless. I’m not kidding when I say there are so many combinations and ways to win. The game also has multiple scenarios and ways to win the game. You can talk with your adversaries and friends and can form an alliance to win the match. On top of that, you can trade with others and negotiate resources and land that you occupy. There is a global chat where you can talk to pretty much everyone that owns the game and a help section where helpful admins and whatnot help you in any way the can. There is no reason for you not to download this fun WW2 game as each actions takes hours to occur, meaning you can play this on your free time with not too much dedication. Download this game if you like a good, well rounded, strategic game like I do.

I love it but I hate it

I’ve deleted this game more times than I can count. I love it so much but it’s so time consuming. I only have two complaints 1 there are only pvp modes and 2 the players that are on the most win. For instance a player with an inferior force can defeat a superior force simply by having no commitments and staying up all night. They need a player vs ai mode. Maybe even a campaign would be awesome. I would also restructure the air warfare. Planes take damage too easy and don’t do enough damage. Naval and anti air in particular. I would also restructure the air tech tree. I would have a fighters, fighter bombers that do mediocre attack damage and mediocre dogfighting, and attack bombers that do poor dogfighting and high ground damage. Strategic and naval bombers tech lines as well. I would also have higher income you almost have to be winning to build an army.

Best “war based” game out there

I know what I mean when I say this is one of the best games to play and is super underrated. Yes I know they may still be improving but the way it gives you time limits and real World War II weaponry is so realistic. The game has a little bit of cons when it comes to newcomers, if you’re reading this, checking the reviews, wondering if you should get the game this is my message to you. Once I begin this game I absolutely hated it. There’s no other way to put it. BUT, I played it anyways. Every day once I got free time I messed with the game until one day. I finally got the hang of it. it may be a long game with long rounds, but you literally get the tingles when you finally conquer a province. I definitely recommend this over any wargame you’ve considered.

Why

The game is amazing I’ve been playing on and off for years. Today it decided that since I haven’t made an account, it won’t let me log in through my Apple ID. They’ve been logging me out and trying to get me to make an account for a month now, I guess they finally had enough. Sad to say bc I love this game but if you kick ppl because they don’t make an account w you and that’s it, Id rather play something else that doesn’t care. Tried talking to support but they left me on read. In the middle of 2 great games too Update: even after I created an account with you guys, it logs me out in the middle of a game or up to 8 times a day. After pressing login, and trying to login….It will tell you you’re trying to create an account. After clearly pressing the sign in, not sign up button. I made an account with you guys, per your response. you still force us to re download the game 3 times a day. Something shady is going on for sure.

Really fun.... most of the time

I’ve had this game for probably 3 months now and am mostly enjoying it. It’s the closest thing you’ll find to hoi 4 (hearts of iron 4) on your phone. The base mechanics and play are great. There are a few minor bugs that can be annoying at times, but usually a quick refresh fixes them right away. Now my real problem with this game is the currency. I wish I had ads popping up every time I opened a different active game instead of them getting their money this way. I’ve played through 4 full matches and each time I’ll spend a week or more prepping an invasion and once I do it will catch the country off guard, but then they’ll spend twenty or so dollars and produce so many troops that I get overwhelmed. Then it was all for nothing. I feel that the currency is the only major problem in the game that needs to be fix, or preferably removed.

The only 2 main problems

Other than the app not working on my PC, I Iike that you can “lasso” multiple units and send them to a location all at the same time. I don’t like that after selecting multiple units and moving them, if you want all of them to move to a different location, you have to go back through and select each unit again. You should just be able to select all of them at once (by selecting one of the units in the stack) after adding them to your army once, if they are all moving together. And then the delay button. We need to fix this. Using the slider to delay units to a specific time is nearly impossible. Please let us put in our own delay time or at least let us choose the time of day on the clock!

This is way better than expected.

Especially for just being a mobile game. This game is better than a lot of games and I was surprised. When I downloaded this I thought it would be a meh type game but it has turned out to be fantastic. Only problem is just a few times it goes black screen for a few seconds. If you are wondering if you should get this game you should! Also in my opinion playing as Japan, Germany, France, Borneo, and Ukraine are the most fun. You should also know what strategy you should use for each country and doctrine and also what to research. Again it is wonderful. It is a great strategy game that is so simple to know how to work everything. I’ve been playing for around 2-3 months now.

Excellent game

An incredible game that is exactly what the ww2 mobile game market has been missing but It does have some issues that I would like to see fixed relating to the way rebellions work. Recently I played a game in which one of my core cities revolted to one of my coalition members right after I got it back which is ridiculous because as a core province why should it revolt and 2 since it revolted to a coalition member and again it is a core province, shouldn’t it return to me? Then I’m another game I had 4 militia units stationed in a province and that province still managed to rebel despite FOUR UNITS HOLDING IT!!! Anyway, the game is still great but those unfortunate events sort of ruin it when it happens and I wish you could just station garrisons to prevent this like I believe you could do a year ago.

The most addicting game

Hello I just wanted to say that this game is really fun and addicting I would want to ask if you guys can maybe make a single player mode please 😁 this game is really fun but I also have to keep worrying about getting attacked while sleeping but if there was a single player mode where you can pause or the bots cannot attack you while your away that would be amazing, also it would be great if we could create games with 4x times mode so that we don’t have to wait a long time that would be great😁 also there is a bug where when I watch an for gold, after I finish watching the ad it gives me gold but I have to see the video again it would be great if you could fix it😁 thank you!

Excellent game; still room for improvement

First, this game deserves 5-stars as-is. I love the simplicity of the controls, and how much you can do with pretty much any country. It’s like a simple Hearts of Iron IV (if you know what that game is), but only simpler in the sense that there are fewer controls and things to keep track of. This simplicity makes it very quick to learn. However, the large multi-player maps makes every game interesting. Best of all, the real-time game play (i.e. time moves at the same speed as in real life) changes everything and allows for some interesting strategies. If you changed nothing in this game, I would be happy. That being said, there are still a few things that could be changed for future additional game modes. #1. A World War I game mode with older tech would be cool. The tech tree could develop up to World War II tech. #2. A Cold War game mode would also be nice, with the tech tree spanning from post-World War II to 1989 technology. That’s it. I especially like the new “1.5” game modes. The factions, buffs, and de-buffs add a very nice change in available strategies for each faction. Keep up the good work. This is definitely a game I would recommend.

It’s fun, but not realistic

Hey, I love this game. But me and my friends noticed something. When we were playing, we noticed some things weren’t very realistic. I am playing sweden in a 1939, historic world map. Now, I’m not saying this is your fault, but I start off really weak. Sweden during the Second World War was practically a world power. Their tank designs could easily defeat the panzer 1’s and 2’s and go toe to toe with panzer 3 and 4’s. They were equal with the Germans main armor. But Sweden starts off with 10 units, and a crappy airforce and navy. This isn’t accurate at all. Italy doesn’t have the alpine wall, and their army was made of many commando groups, who were better suited for the alps. Japan is basically all navy. I don’t say this to judge, but to plead for you to fix this. You have the base for an amazing game, so please, just please, put in the extra effort to make it amazing, and historically correct. It’s The Best and Worst at The Same Time

It’s the best and worst at the same time. This game is like an online version of HOI4 which is really cool and obviously slow for a mobile device. I have complaints and recommendations. As a noob I’m fairly bad at the game unless I’m against a bod, therefore it would be really nice if there were single player training maps with different levels of difficulties for the bots. And it would help us understand the game even better as in resources wise. Gold should not be the main source of “money”? I don’t know how to put it but whenever you have to boost moral you shouldn’t have to use gold, you should add things like: donate money, you can donate 100k or something like that to increase moral. One last thing, why is Joseph Stalin an allowed name but not Adolf Hitler? Stalin was a way worse person than him and threatened nuclear war with many racial countries that he didn’t like... anyways. I’m going to keep playing this game but it would really be helpful for us if you had training levels that didn’t have to be at a slow paste. This game has great potential for all devices, just keep it going aight

The best strategy game of WW2. Bad moderators.

I love this game and have been playing it since 2015, a little after it came out, but something I don’t like in it is the treatment from moderators. I have been kicked out of games with no explanations whatsoever, even when games are almost finished. If not for the arbitrary treatment and unexpected kicking for “pushing” and other reasons (when 99% of players send resources), I would rate this game 5 stars. If you are kicked, you can’t even try to appeal or explain anything to another mod. They can be very rude and won’t listen to any explanation and won’t help much. I feel like they only kick those players they want and leave in the game those they want -favoritism and abuse of power.

Tough to Play on Mobile

I absolutely love Call of War! It’s an amazing game and I’ve played it for nearly 4 years now. I do suggest however if possible to mainly play on a computer. It is buggy and hard for Mobile Phones to run. Your phone heats up a TON, and crashes are commonplace. I recently had a problem where it signed me out of my account and then created a new one randomly. It was impossible to sign out and delete this newly created account due to the settings in place, which help save your main account but are a pain when you don’t want the random account made for you. Playing Mobile is great for staying up to date with your games, but be warned: it is a stress on your phone. Hope this helps, and don’t pass on his great game! (My Review is mostly on the Mobile App specifically)

So close

The game has good core mechanics, plenty addictive. But there are two kinds of players… those who want a straight strategy game where winning is based on skill, and the people who want something with lots of wild cards and the ability to pay to win. Call of War has become a game for the second kind of gamer. If you don’t mind that you can’t escape the pay to win element, it’s worth playing. If you want a game where you can out play your opponent and they can’t just suddenly have a ton of new armies they couldn’t normally build, keep looking because this is not for you. I’ve played CoW for years. I loved what it used to be and can’t stand what it’s become. That’s why I don’t have any fun with this game anymore and I’m dropping it. I’m one of those “win by skill, not pay to win in” types.

Best game it is the most complex WW2 strategy game but that’s not a bad thing. I have played on Mobile and It works extremely well and I play on I phone 8 so that’s super surprising. The function of chatting with others takes it beyond most of the games that I’ve played. There is so many personalities while some toxic and a small amount just horrible the majority in my experience have been helpful and got along. The only reason why I demoted to 4 stars is one experience with the third category of personalities that I listed. But to recap one of the best games if you need to spend time and one of the best overall.

Warning: Too Fun

My only warning is to maintain time management. When playing this game, you will forget about time altogether, which is troublesome because this game takes a long time to play. It is very complicated, takes tons of strategy, consists of who knows how many territories (1000’s + on some maps), includes planes, tanks, infantry, subs, artillery, trains, AAA, paratroopers, battleships, international trade with trade embargoes as well, the atomic bomb, spies, secret alliances, bombing raids, beach invasions, dogfights, surprise attacks, sieges, epic battles, all-out war and more. And to add, it doesn’t need to be said that it is extremely difficult to win when up to a hundred players all want the same thing: world domination. But is is AWESOME!!! 👏 to the creators of this game Thank you!

Call of war going down hill

Ok. I’ve played the game for years and it is fun and all but this morning I woke up and saw that you guys have taken away resource trade from non coalition players. This is not fair to anyone because if you are in a rp game with friends and you have no cores you can not trade if you are not in a coalition. I believe that you guys are trying to make this into the New world empires game because you are not fixing it, you are making it worse. Also, when me and my alliance members requested a game when we had enough members to get the map, we were told basically that we (Roleplayers) were not welcome anymore on bytro. I request that you open the maps back to anyone can create as well as allow certain people to create a 100p map (Gold or high command only for that one). And please stop the war against Roleplayers. good but could be slightly better

honestly this game is great. it is probably the best strategy game out there. its not easy to put into words, just playing this game and interacting with the community is a lot of fun. it is however quite time consuming, especially the faster game modes. it is very addictive so that may not be the best for some people but personally i love it. it would be great if the all countries in game mode was more often, seeing as how its a very popular game mode and my personal favourite. the main issue i have with this game is the cap on the amount of 'parallel' games you can have going at once. i have dozens of games in my archive ive lost on long ago but for some reason they still stay as active in my archive and it stops me from joining new games. i think its reasonable to have a cap so players dont just join as many games as they want and go inactive straight away but the issue is that cap doesnt work properly and all it really does is limit my ability to join any new games. its no fun joining a game where you get ganged up on straight away and then that game counting as active for weeks. fix this please

Slow progress but enjoyable

To travel seems a bit obnoxious. Like I get in real like it would take twice as long or longer to go the distance but it is a game. Pretty much everything after a bit take more than half the day to build and resources are definitely scarce for the land mass. I control Alaska for the time being and with all that land you’d think that country would have less than a thousand bucks and not accumulate a couple hundred dollars or resources an hour. Otherwise, really enjoy the game. Also maybe less gold cost on things would be great. You give plenty but for an hour build cost that thousand gold.

Heres an HONEST review. (not a lot to read)

I have played this game for like 2-3 years and i never seen a ton of “pay2win” as others say it YES gold does give a small bit of pay 2 win but you get a fair amount for every game finished. Im not gonna make you read all of this but this was the like small great part. Now look, im not those people who do alot of words and yapping about useless info, blah blah blah great game i gave it 4 stars because although yes there is a pve mode its more like PvPvE they DONT have a fully PvE mode thats kinda sad but i would recommend getting into Blitzkrieg games or the main games for starting. MAIN THINGS: Realistic (moving takes time, building units and buildings) i should have mentions this before but too bad i didnt THERE IS A SPEED GAMEMODE Realism - 8 out of 10 Gameplay - 7 out of 10 could be better Features - 9 out of 10 great Mechanics - 10 out of 10 Gamemodes - 8.5 out of 10 could be better by adding a pve mode Overall (how i would rate the game overall) - 8.9 out of 10 End of review great game could be a bit better. I would get this game if your into history rts games

Terrible tragedy.

The game had potential, the research, units, movement, and production all gave ample time to plan methodically. However, they give the option to watch ads for resources and gold, which is given in the form of redeemable cards. Well recently I started a war with a neighbor in my game. Unfortunately the game will not let me use the common cards I have after watching the ads. Therefore I am in a losing war because all of the resources I had saved up are all stuck in limbo. I am truly saddened that a game that was great has such a serious issue as this. I tried reaching out three days ago to no avail. It is Friday, there should be no reason as to why I have not received any communication what so ever. Be warned there is no support for issues, the hours of ad watching is useless, and I will no longer recommend this game.

It’s a fun game

Like all games there are some bugs and glitches but otherwise it’s really fun but after a week in a game time seemed to slow down and every game seems like everyone quotes in the first three days. The new update about the ad rewards are boring you use to get gold and that sorta gives you a motive to watch 6 ads but now you get cards based off the resources, a 12 (I think) hour premium account, and 600 gold. One thing I keep forgetting about is the achievements you can earn gold that way which makes sense but I wish there was a way of knowing you can earn gold thro achievements instead of just looking around and finding it but otherwise game fine
