As a Jersey City native, I have watched the art scene blossom over the years. This app does an amazing job presenting the beautiful murals that are sprouting all over the city. I appreciate that all of the murals are locatable in the app's built-in map. If there is a mural that you really like, you can save the mural as a favorite within the app. I think the interface is modern and allows for easy navigation. Each mural featured in the app provides clear details on the artist and a description of the art piece. If you are interested, you can always view the artist's website to view more of their artwork. I love the fact that the app showcases murals from all parts of this big diverse city. So far I have visited 72% of the murals in Jersey City.. Yes, the app allows you to track the murals that you have visited. This app should be a must have for all "Chilltown" residents that love art. I hope this app is created for the cities that I visit often such as Boston and Chicago.
There are hundreds of murals murals not on the app, how can we add them without sending a message? Or at least mark that there is a location for the app to double check. While in San Francisco, I noticed that very few of the murals in the mission district are present on the app. It’s a shame to not be able to add them in or suggest that they be added in while at that location. Also, I tried to “send feedback” and it says that the name field is blank. Problem? There is no name field to fill in. Lol
This is app is the absolute best way of highlighting and experiencing street art. I have always enjoyed murals but sometimes I would miss their exact location or wish to know more about the art and the artist. With CANVS I can take my exploration to the next level. Its like you cannot finish finding art. I love being able to find my favorite murals and favoriting ones to go check out at a later time. The creators of this application are geniuses! Thank you!
As someone who is new to street art, I find this app helpful in giving me the ability to explore my neighborhood through art especially during quarantine. It’s a great activity to go around a hunt for murals while learning more about the artists and the meaning of the piece. I would recommend this app to anyone who is artistic and would like to have fun looking at different street art pieces. I’m excited to see more cool features in the future.😊
As someone who works in digital advertising, this design and UX of this app is everything that we recommend to our clients as best practice. It's easy to use, has unique but straightforward features, and looks great! The team also is able to stay pretty up to date with new murals as they pop up and replace older ones. Coming from the artists' perspective, this app has been an amazing tool for audiences, perspective clients, fans to be able to find my work. People ask me all the time "where can I find all your murals?" And I always direct them to this app. Thank you for creating another tool that works WITH the art and the artists!
But I have to give one to this app. It's so uncluttered in design, yet gives you everything you need in the menu: bookmarks, seen, favorites, and about. There's no free app out there that has such a unique collection, descriptive info on each piece, and continual additions. Makes you proud to be a bridge n' tunneler.
If you like Street Art / Murals then I would highly recommend this app. It not only tells you off the location of the great works of art but it also inform you about the Mural and the artist that created it ,

I love hunting street art and CANVS makes it a whole lot easier for me to go running around New York and Jersey City! It’s been great discovering some of the hidden gems in places I thought I knew like the back of my hand!
I love tapping all over the map and seeing the photos of the art. I also enjoy going to the artists instagram accounts and following them. So many pretty murals to see.
This app is super fun and innovative for anyone interested in seeing the latest and greatest in street art. The design is easy-to-use, even for a non-techie like me. I like that you can go into "hunt mode" to be notified when you're near a new mural.
5 Stars. It's easy to take local Art for granted. CANVS preserves, and stimulates the collective memory for street art. It's a delight to open the app, and see the treasure map expand. I follow the CANVS Instagram feed also. Great art, great app. Keep up the great work guys!
As a huge street art fan, I'm in love with this app! It makes it so much fun to find art and much easier than the old school way of wandering for hours. Beautiful photos, I like how you can also bookmark your favorite murals.

It was so awesome seeing some of the amazing murals I've run into walking around the neighborhood. Now that I can see exactly where the ones I haven't been lucky enough to run into I can actively seek them out. It's almost like a game where the end prize is being exposed to some beautiful art.
The app works very well. Build quality and stability is pretty solid, especially on my old iPhone 5. Great concept captured. Helps raise awareness on all of the great work that artists have been doing over the years in Jersey City. Wishing the CANVS team success as they continue to grow.
