This app is terrible. The interface is clunky and I can only go back a month to look at debits and credits. The statements don’t provide a pic of the debited check (which is helpful) so looking at the statements is useless of the that. There is no way to search for or filter specific transactions. It’s really only good checking balance and depositing checks :( very disappointed
When I moved back home after 20 years in Los Angeles I came straight to Cape Cod 5. I was so happy to be rid of Bank ofAmerica and other larger banks. When I sat down with the banker in Wellfleet, Ma the first thing she asked was what did you love about your previous banks. I said “the ease of using their app on my phone to do all my banking”. She pressed and asked “like what”...I said “deposits, Bill pay, sending money to friends etc.,”. She said “you can do all that with us”. What she didn’t say is that whomever Cape Cod 5 is using as their app developer is as provincial, as isolated from the modern world as Old Cape Cod. We have a business that will take us on the road for much of the year. Being able to do our banking on our phones is crucial, it’s not a luxury any more Cape Cod 5! Wake up and do it right.
Update: No....seriously...is there some way PLEASE to get your development money back on this piece of garbage??? How much of your investors money (mine!!) did you pay for this crap?? I am shopping for another bank....enough of this! I've spoken to acquaintances who are with other banks and they have real online banking apps. Maybe one star was a bit generous. Now when I make an online payment, it kicks me out to the desktop on my iPad more often than not! Talking to customer service did no good. (Yes, my apps are up-to-date!!!). Still awful! This new mobile app is worse...by far...than the old one on my devices (iPad and iPhone-7). It’s far less attractive (think black-and-white in a world of color), it’s harder to use, and there seems to be LESS information available to you (remember how it showed you your last payment to a particular payee?? No more!). I have actually thought about changing banks because this app is so bad. Nope....they had a chance to improve what was a somewhat-flawed app and they missed the mark completely!!
Every time I open the app and go to accounts it says “no accounts found”. But when I login on a mobile web browser, they are there. Very frustrating. I spoke to a very nice CC5 representative yesterday afternoon about it and he said I should be able to se a pencil icon in the top right corner to manually add my accounts —nope! No pencil icon! The accounts showed up on his end so it’s doubly frustrating. After having me log out and log back in and then delete the app and redownload it to try and get the pencil icon, to no avail, he said he’d reach out to IT and get back to me but am still waiting for a phone call. Maybe it will be easier to get assistance by leaving a review. Don’t say that this app should be downloaded in order to see all your accounts (business and personal) in one place and then have it not even work! I expect more from CC5 since their personal mobile banking app is exceptional!
Honestly this app needs tons of improvement! if I try to use it most of the time it says there's an error and I have to try it again, sometimes it takes like 5 tries to have access to it. Also, I have two accounts and this app only shows one account, I've spoken to an associate and they told me it's there and I should look for it again... still not there... Cape Cod five, please do something and make this app better because I really love this bank but you guys are sooo behind when it comes to this app. This needs to be updated ASAP!
Over the last three weeks every time I use the app it states I am blocked. I call the contact number and they say there is no block. I have deleted and downloaded the app twice, with no luck. Can IT take a look and see please. Very annoying when your . away from your computer. Still locking me out at random times. Works at home on wi-if but not when I am out shopping. They should have spent money on a better app then building a parking garage at the new headquarters.
I haven’t used the app in a while, but today when I tried to use it to check my balance, I can’t even log into my account. I know I’m putting in the right password, but I get an unexpected error. Which is different from the wrong password/username error I would’ve gotten if I had entered it wrong. If this is fixed, then I’ll give 5 stars.
Why can I no longer look at history back a month or two? Using the statement is painful - but probably the excuse your developers gave you. Please, restore the previous functionality.
I do most all if my personal banking and the banking for a nonprofit I manage using this app. Check balances, make deposits, pay bills and transfer funds from my phone. Sometimes I stop by my local branch just to say hello.
Before the update you were able to see check images both deposited and cashed. Why did they change that? It was so handy to look up my accounts with the check images to review. Put them back on please
I have close to 15 financial apps between banking, investments and credit cards. This is by far the worst app. Constantly app doesn’t work. If you don’t use it within 2 months locks you out, impossible to reset password. Etc etc. Good bank but a terrible app. This app needs to be redone top to bottom
I'm self employed (aka, no regular paycheck), so I transfer funds from my business account to my personal account on an as-needed basis, and then pay them online there. However, this app won't allow me to see an overview of my scheduled personal bills like I can on my PC in order to determine the minimum I need to transfer. Crazy!
Why doesn’t more account history load when I look at my accounts? I go back out and in and the history just stops. Super frustrating. For all of the money they are pouring into the operations facility, they should have better online and mobile banking systems.
This app is the worst banking app I’ve ever used. It is illogical, performs poorly and just try logging out. It brings you to the login screen after logging out and auto logs you back in. Unbelievable! Bill pay is so painful, I’d rather hand write checks. Throw out the developer and start over.
Can’t sign in to Face ID. Have to put in a password every time. Face ID wants user name and password, but won’t accept the very same ones I’m signed in with. Going on 6 weeks now. I can’t use it. I’m giving it one week before I switch banks. I Love this bank, but need a functioning app.
With the most recent update, the app crashes and won’t load, every time. I’ve tried everything. Weeks ago I contacted CC5. They said they’d look into it. Nothing.
With the banks recent on line banking upgrade came this upgraded app. The whole experience has been a big hassle. I had to go to the bank and spent an hour and a half with help of a staff member to just set up the mobile banking option. FINALLY able to get the app to work and find that I can no longer make a deposit from my phone. Not real happy.
The app does everything I need it to do - check account balances, activity, and make transfers - but it lacks Touch ID (fingerprint authentication) support which is now the industry standard. Customers with modern equipment will greatly appreciate this feature so I'm looking forward to seeing it added soon.
With the recent updates, I had to jump through hoops to make mobile deposits. I had it figured out. Now I am consistently getting the endorsement fail. And it is clear and focused and legible. I sure hope this gets fixed soon.
If you ever forget your password you are screwed. Neither the texting security code or the email security code actually work. Got a new phone now I can’t log in. Should’ve wrote down my password but still. Please fix that so i can access my account
On my debit card which has a reasonably high working balance , my card has been suspended two times in the past week without appropriate notice causing me great personal difficulty and embarrassment. This not a credit card it is DEBIT CARD. My money .... not your money. My most recent dialogue with your staff today reflected an archaic and out of date security screening and alert system. My card was suspended twice with no phone message left. As with most persons , I know , unrecognized calls do not get returned and get blocked unless there is an explanatory voice mail. An email system that works would be a good idea as well. On the first blockage I answered the email and validated the question charge as soon as I received the email. You blocked the card anyway. A sussequent phone call from me to customer service repeatedwhat I had affirmed in my email. Yesterday I tried to use the card to pay for a service out of Washington DC. The card was again blocked with no prior warning or alert. More embarrassment A rejected charge for a small amount Thanks for worrying so much about my card security that you screw up even the most innocent transactions.
