This application is severely lacking all respects. There is nothing beyond the basic functionality you'd get in a $10 programmable thermostat. The app displays weather, but there's nothing you can do with it. No way to link it to adjust the thermostat. There is no way to set a recurring schedule. It tells you the humidity, but you can't adjust it. There is no way to set alerts. (ie. tell me when the indoor temp reaches 100 degrees and the AC is off.) No reminders for changing filters. No way to save multiple profiles for programming. It doesn't keep track of how long the HVAC has been on, what time. These are simple things that should be incorporated in the next version to make it useful.

App needs an update

Has not been updated since 2014. Not very user friendly. Had to login from website to rename thermostats and set up access to local weather. Irritating to buy new thermostats that you can control on your smartphone but there is not a current app with a nice interface that's user friendly. Come on Carrier!

So dumb

I'm constantly having to re-log in to the app with my email and password. It's so inconvenient and unnecessary. Phone apps are supposed to make things easier. So quite often I'll just go to the thermostat instead of using the app. Kinda defeats the whole purpose.

Needs work

The app is good when it works. Doesn't always load. Carrier!!! When are going to fix this app and connectivity issues? Been complaining since I got it and I'm having same issues as people who've had is since 2014. Very disappointed!!!!

Useless

After connecting only with my iPhone but not my iPad, this app now refuses to connect to Carrier from my iPhone as well. Returns “invalid user or password” message even though I can log into Carrier with the same credentials via a browser. The app no longer merits a single star since it won’t function at all.

Do not install

The developers of this app should resign from ever getting involved with creating apps again. Functionally is extremely limited and there is no way to switch out of the app - you need to shut off your phone and restart it to do so.

App is out of date

This app is out of date! Every time I launch it, I get a notification that says the app will slow down the performance of my iOS 10 iPad and iPhone. Carrier is not keeping up with the rest of the industry competition.

Don’t Download

I’ve tried to use this on an iPhone X and it has locked up my phone twice. It would be handy to have an App that works with my smart thermostat but this application is fundamentally flawed. Carrier should withdraw this application and fix it. It’s worse than useless.

Need some serious work

The design is horrible! What’s with the landscape mode? Please integrate with Shortcuts and Google Home, but I might be asking a black hole since it appears no update or maintenance is being made to app. Do people also stopped buying Carrier system? Why no support?

No iOS 11 Support

This company is a joke when it comes to thermostats. They should just stick to the other hardware and build their units to standard specs so that all thermostats will work with them. There is no longer support for this application with iOS 11.

Update the app & fix it

This app constantly locks up my iPhone X, won’t switch to the other unit any more and is stuck managing my unit run by Ecobee. This app is flawed - please fix it & let us get an ounce of utility for it. I can’t even adjust the schedule!

Terrible App

Very minimal functionality. It works for me every time I open it, but there is no way to make changes to the weekly schedule. I never use it because it’s very limited in what it can do.

App Software Needs Updating

I have had the Carrier app for 2 years now, and lately when I try to make adjustments from the app, it won’t connect to their server. Software is in drastic need of updating.

Update please!

This is a bad app. There is no update available. There's no way to get your password or user name if you have forgotten it. Ridiculous. Stupid to not update. If you aren't updating, what's the point?!

MY WIFE AND I DESPISE THIS APP

If I could give it zero stars I would This app is lacking big time. This is very generic. We spent good money on two units. You guys are going backwards in the technology field.
