While the old app was outdated, at least it worked and was straightforward. I’ve had nothing but problems with the new app. I logged in a few weeks ago and selected face recognition. It crashed. And then continued to not load and immediately crash when trying to open the app. I called customer service and the first person I spoke to made me feel like it was my problem and I should figure it out. The second person tried to replicate my issue, and found that the app also consistently crashed for him when he enabled face recognition. Fast forward a few weeks and I couldn’t even log in using a password, it kept giving me an error. I went online and changed my password and was able to log in. In the previous app, I could put in a dollar amount to reload my account, but it’s not working on the new version of the app. And it’s unclear how to do so. If you’re going to roll out an entirely new app, A) make sure it works before you roll it out, and B) maybe offer a tutorial if everything has changed!
The new update no longer sends notifications to my phone. I’ve told customer service, but they were no help and could only offer turning all alerts on and off.
The new app looked great…until I enable Face ID unlock. I got pit into an endless loop where the the app tries to unlock showing the login screen at the same time and the shutting down completely.
I used one time but this month I could not use because an error occurred. Error says to update in apps because this one is not supported! Tried to update but no update was available. Will uninstall and try again.
This app is an ok beginning to what it could be. I must say that it is because of the app that I discovered the new usage monitoring abilities, which have allowed me to reduce my usage greatly! That being said the pc web interface offers more information that the app does. You can view and pay bills, view usage and set alerts with the app which is great. The short comings of the app I see are in the power usage department. The graph for viewing power usage is a bit cumbersome and it would be nice to have the ability to view the hourly usage like you can in web browser. With some refinement this could be a 5 star app, I hope there are some updates soon to bring this app more in line with the exceptional web interface.
