This app literally did not need to change a THING about the layout. This update is the MOST confusing and useless layout update I have ever had on an app. And this is not the app to make confusing. I am highly considering setting up a different bank account so I can pay my bills easily and know everything is working properly. 5 stars so I can tell everyone how bad this app is now. Truly deserves a -1 star
Remarkably non-intuitive in the setup. Example: When setting up alarms you have to set up each one individually and in different categories. Just put a list of options with check boxes, apply the communication method to all of them. Also, stop asking for my email address and/or phone number to be typed out. You know what they are. This makes the initial setup absolutely painful and maintenance/reviews incredibly time consuming. Also, only one update per day for low balances, etc? This can be a security monitoring method that would allow me to lock down my account. If I get one notification every 24 hours, my account could be wiped clean almost a day before I found out. It has some fancier new features that will likely be ignored by most, but the core functionality was put in the back seat in development.
I HATE that a purchase/transaction doesn’t send me a notification until AFTER IT HAS POSTED!!! My other banking/credit card apps send me notifications immediately, even when it’s still “pending”. The min a purchase is made, I would like to be notified instead of 2 days later when the money is leaving the account. My other bank app lets me know right when a transaction on my account originates and the money is no longer “available.” And I absolutely find this app inferior because I do not get alerts until days after money is in or out of my account
If it isn’t getting an application error that can’t display my information and to try again later, it’s getting locked out every other week. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 for the few times a week this app does work. It’s so inconvenient because of how important this app is
My husband transferred money to my account but it wasn’t showing in my account. When I called the bank they said it was showing on their end and didn’t know why our apps weren’t reflecting that. It would be nice if the app would show what was transferred and what is available in each respective account. The money took three days to transfer which, I guess, I understand, but not reflecting the transaction in our accounts is a flaw on the apps part.
First of all everything takes forever to load. Second every time I use the mobile deposit it corrects me thinking I should put $0.00 as the total for my deposit. It also forces me to recheck my picture every time I deposit. I have never once taken a blurry or cropped image and yet I’m forced to recheck it every time. Please stop the app from forcing me to recheck and constantly second guessing my deposit total. And do something about the load times. Also I have an IPhone 11 Pro Max with 100 mbps down and up WiFi so it’s not me.
I typically love my bank, BUT the newest update has limited how much money you can transfer from account to account. This is a huge problem for my husband and I. He generally sends me 965$ to pay our rent and now he cannot send more that 500$ a day. There’s nothing the store can do to help, other than tell us to go pull cash and deposit into my account. Throws a huge wrench in things for us. There never was a limit and I hate this.
There is a glitch right now that will not allow you to see what is actually in your account, and it will not transfer money from one account to the next. I went into my bank to make sure it wasn't a problem with my accounts. My accounts were fine, and it was the mobile app. Please fix this as I use this app multie times daily. I love this bank and usually the app as well, but I'm very unhappy with this glitch right now because I can't make transfers or see what's actually in my account until it's fixed.
Love the app. Would really like to be able to see bills that are between scheduled and paid. Is there any way they can show as pending? Today you have to go back to your payees and look to see them until they are paid.
I love almost every part of this app except for the time it takes to posts payments you've made. If I swipe my card, the transaction automatically appears on the app. If I pay a bill online or over the phone, the transaction can take days or a week to post. It makes managing my money from out of state a little more stressful.
So the app had some changes the other day I don’t know why. The menu screen is too messy now and has too much going on. Before the update it was clean and simple. Also the app doesn’t do Face ID recognition anymore so now I have to type my password in every time. I know I may sound nit picky but it’s those simple things that made this app great. Like the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The app works fine, I have no problems with using the app. I get multiple notifications every day regarding the cash back offers. Even after excepting all the offers. Very annoying!
I love the feature but am required to go through the tedious process of changing my password every two to four uses. An error message tells me it doesn’t recognize my current password. Why should this happen?
I have not had any issues, and have always been able to access my account when needed. The ease of being able to transfer money and to pay bills while on the go, makes life much easier!
There are some nice features in the new version - I like the money management options a lot. If you’re having trouble updating, just follow the instructions that were sent to you. Easy enough.
Your update on 10/6 is terrible!! Most of the time it won’t connect. It’s been buffering for 6 hours today and was just as bad Monday. I called for customer support. And was told it was my fault- my internet’s fault-and perhaps I had not installed the app. Get it together and accept responsibility!!! My internet connection is fine. My app worked several times since last week. Being inaccessible 2 days out of 7 is a FAIL.
Friendly staff, who have never been a problem. This bank is the only bank I would consider in the area. Great bank with a pretty blue look, thank you for being our bank.
App- good app no bugs but I would like the balance updated after I schedule a bill pay! Fix please!
I would like to see this app update your balance as soon as you finish a bill pay!!! Come on every other app does this! Hard to estimate your balance in you head after you pay a handful of bills!!!!!
I keep having random logins from strangers (!!!) and support has tried to be helpful but ultimately ineffective. I have changed my password multiple times. Even worse, I am supposedly set up for two-factor authentication and email notifications which do not actually happen. I am honestly kind of freaked out at this point and don’t know what to do. Otherwise the app is pretty good.
Everything at Centier is well thought through and planned! This app is amazingly fast, convenient, and helpful. I also appreciate the attitude of the workers which says a lot about the corporate structure of the bank!
We have used Centier for over 20 years. Always a pleasure using all services. Tellers recognize you, you get a human when you call. Absolutely no complaints!
The update totally ruined a perfectly good app. It went from easy-to-use and intuitive to a hard-to-navigate mess. It takes too long to find info. It can’t remember me - and constantly wants to confirm my identity by sending a text to my spouse’s phone. It was nice being able to check my balance, pay bills and make transfers. It’s practically useless to me now.
I have found my experience with Centier so wonderful. The people who work there have always been so sweet. I always enjoy when I have to go in to make a deposit because I know I will be greeted with such kindness. Thank you.
I have been a customer for many years and have used online banking since it started. Latest update is awful. More complicated and will not allow me to use my phone security features and I have to sign in every time I use the app. Everything takes longer to find and takes longer to complete.
I feel if the app would update the account balance more often it would make the app better. I tend to spend more money and put my account in the negatives due to the account showing an amount one day and then I check the next day and it’ll show a negative amount.
They updated the app and it’s not intuitive at all, they have a small banner stating “First-Time login.” Even if you have used the app for the past 2 years apparently they want you to use the first time login option? If you do not the lock you out of your account which leads to a very unhelpful phone call with customer support.
Centier Bank is the best bank I’ve ever used. The staff bend over backwards to help you with any issue. Always kind and friendly! A great experience every time. I recommend Centier to everybody I know.
Why in the world would you remove the widget option? It was easily the best part of the app. It’s nice being able to just see the balance and no extra info at a glance. PLEASE BRING THE WIDFET BACK.
The only issue I take with this app is that you have to be connected to the WiFi in order to log on. This is extremely inconvenient when you’re out and about.
The previous app was much more organized and easier to use. This new one has no facial recognition, doesn’t load, makes transactions confusing, and requires a password with a symbol to log in. What was wrong with the old one. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Used to love the old app! Simple interface, easy to check balance, even had a widget for your home screen! Ever since the new “security update” they removed the widget and no longer have an option to enable it in the app which is a huge inconvenience to me personally. ADD THE WIDGET BACK AND ILL CHANGE MY REVIEW!
Use to love the old version. Now my bank is having connection issues. Deleted all my accounts set up in the app. Having a hard time understanding how they thought this version was better.
The old app worked great. This one has problems when trying to deposit checks. After you take a picture of the check, the app signs you out. You can not deposit checks.
