Hey Seth. There’s a bug after your last update. Before I would scan the image of a chess board position where black is on the bottom, toggle the switch to indicate “black pieces”, and the coordinates would reverse (especially virtually flipping the board), so that “best move” is for black and direction of play is accurate. After the update the is not the case, but instead — despite filling the same methods as above — the move suggestion is for white, the coordinates do not indicate a board-flip, and direction of play is incorrect. If I rescan the image and go through the correct motions again, it works the second time… every time. But of course this is redundant and a bug. I’ve paid for the pro version so I feel comfortable asking that you check into this. I am not comfortable using the link in the app that asks that we message you on IG, as I have had security issues recently on Meta apps. Thank you.
I’ve used quite a few apps for stock fish on my phone…none are like this one! This app allows you to easily set up any position you want and play! It does take awhile to find the best move but, I’m willing to deal with that for how great the rest of the app is. I do wish you could change the color of the board without paying, but that’s alright I guess.
EDIT: Aren’t updates supposed to make the app better?? I don’t expect an app I pay for to constantly glitch, lag or crash, but this one does endlessly. I like the concept. It’s a great tool. It’s helping me learn. It’s also making me lose patience. Hopefully they get it worked out, or I’ll have to count my losses on this one. I’m running it on an iPhone 14 Pro Max with the latest updates. So it’s not likely on my end.
this is a cool app for sure I was watching a chess game on my TV and I was wondering about the commentators and Mark about the position so I took a picture of it and I search the Internet and this program showed up and analyze the picture and made us set up and gave me the best move for whatever side this is totally amazing AI at its best
Hi, I put a recent problem solved by Magnus Carlson in under two minutes, and I double checked on the latest stockfish analysis and your app. Suggest the best move is something else which takes longer than to moves. What gives what is your latest version?

Perfect for study of the openings. I learn by playing both sides. Amazing how strong stockfish is nowadays I hope there’s any competition so I can pair them up!
No point in downloading if you can’t get any analysis without paying an extra fee. Developer should consider allowing for partial try out to test the app e.g. 3 scans a day
The customer service is horrible I’ve been tryin to get help for over a week and not even a response. The boards don’t keep their games when another game is upload to a different board
Scan feature makes half of my dark pieces white for some reason. I’ve tried several different boards and pieces…. same thing, every time. Very buggy when trying to swap out the pieces to correct this. Freezes and closes half the time.
App was definitely worth a 4, but recently the ability to import and scan screenshots of 2D games isn’t working. The “scan” button is non functional. Once resolved I’ll reset rating to 4.
I’m sure it would be a great app if it could be used for more than a few seconds. It was already glitchy before the last update, but it’s utterly useless the way it is now. Please fix it or refund. Thanks.
All boards are the same when I try to setup board 2 different from board 1, it makes board 1 like board 2. Same with any board setup. They all become whatever. The last setup was. Something is seriously wrong!
Whatever the developers did, it was for the worst. Anything not in the first rank of each color it’s considering it as the pieces going towards it, not moving forward. Especially when analyzing using black. It’s garbage.
I really didn’t like it I wanted something to help me determine what I should do, like a guide, but every time I wanted an answer all it did was offer me a payment plan. So as a warning to all, you can’t use this app unless you pay for it.
Scan the picture of board. Doesn’t get the position or color correct. If yo I set up board it doesn’t know which direction to move. Want my money back.
First time using . End game situation . Should be easy to assess which way the pawn can move. Picked a pawn still in its starting position and suggested it move backwards! Thanks but no thanks🤣
