Chivo Wallet

It worked great the first week for me but I haven’t been able to access my account for the past 5 days, I try opening the app but it just buffers and never opens up my account.

As someone with plenty of experience with crypto and a dual citizen, I a whole heartedly suggest you do not use this app. Your funds will be stuck and you will not get your money back. Generally, I usually try to give the support teams and companies the benefit of the doubt. In this case, I don’t even want to risk swaying anyone in favor of this app. Your money will be legit stuck and you have no hope of accomplishing anything with this team. The app is broken (text verification, identity verifications, PIN changes, and worst of all BTC withdrawals. Support is fully hard wired to provide pre-written responses, the same troubleshooting steps, lackluster follow up, no escalation process, and you know where I’m going. It’s an endless loop and I don’t believe it’s intentional from the company they are just extremely extremely irresponsible. It’s all very disengaged and non-chalant when your money is stuck on the platform. Have had issues with this app and team for easily 10 months or so. Thankfully invested little but was extremely concerning for me.

It has its ups and downs but I’m hopping this will be a open gate for the future, I’m did registered on the seventh had some issues registering but after a few tries got it to work. Received the $30 bonus and I deposited $100 from a credit card no problem today I transformed my deposit to bitcoin, I wish it was available for all phone model in El Salvador and everywhere so myself we could send money and try it

Registration process works fine until you get to the selfie. The app switches to the front camera and the full screen is used to display the image to be captured. However, there are no buttons on the screen to advance or return: no button to “snap” the selfie, no button to advance or return to the previous screen, nothing. Only way out is to close the app. Opening the app again means starting the registration process over.

I have had a great problems the past few days would not load anything. I hope to see this get fixed or debugged. Prior to this sending and receive Bitcoin was fairly easy. Little upsetting that we are unable to cash out on our $30 bonus. Regardless of this, I have great confidence that this will result in extraordinary futuristic accomplishments for everyone and El Salvador.

This app is horrible, with the update they broke it for me. After the update it kicked me out and behaved like I had never used the app. Once I was able to enter all my information it would not recognize my PIN. I tried to reset my PIN but it would not let me because it could not authenticate my identity, the photo process always worked but the authentication fails. I’ve been emailing and calling customer service since January 19th 2022 and as of today February 8th they have not resolved my issue, all I get from the customer service reps is that there’s a process and it takes time , for me to be patient, I’m the meantime I have not been able to access my money. This people don’t know what they’re doing. CSR’s can not put me in touch with some that can help me because they themselves don’t have a way of contacting the department that can help me.

I’m in Los Angeles and have recently purchased Bitcoin. I will be traveling to ESA alot and would like to use the Chivo app but I can’t register because you need either a DUI or a Salvadoran passport. I hope modifications are made to better accommodate Salvadoran diaspora so as to better and easily integrate with the motherland, it’s successes, innovations, it’s growing economy, and more importantly with it’s citizens.

As an American I am jealous that there is another country somewhere in this world that isn’t America that made Bitcoin legal tender... And to top it off they have this awesome Chivo wallet with 30$ of Bitcoin. But I have to give five stars because an app that can bank 30% of a country in that time is the future. Thank you greatly!!!

The app needs a lot of work, I’m very patient because this is the first app ever launched by a such small country, being the first version of an app always gave compatible issues and lots of bugs, I will be waiting for an update to make use of it later

This app is garbage it used to worked perfectly fine. It won’t allow you to add no more than $100 to the wallet. Update: 2023 it kicks me out of the app and will not allow me to sign in again, called customer service for the past 12 days and they can’t resolve the issue saying they will call back when they have a resolution. I’m sitting here unable to use my money! Unreal! Can’t believe this is an app administrated by the El Salvador government. DO NOT USE THIS APP TO HANDLE YOUR MONEY! Fast, user friendly, no additional fees, what you transfer is what you have no more or less. Great app to use to send, transfer money to family or friends back home. Looking forward to the advances and upgrades on this app.

I downloaded the chivo app about two weeks ago I registered with o problem but that was the only time that I could go in after that day I haven’t been able to check my account 😕I was so excited to use the app to send money to my Family and curious to play wit Bitcoin but now I wonder if I will use the app. I really hope that my problem be resolved

This app, start working ok to request all your information, including copy of salvadorean ID and other personal information, the $30 welcome money was applied right after, suddenly the app stop working in my iPhone 12 Pro, I’m concerned about where the personal data is stored and if shared is not clear to whom or when will be shared. I’ll try again to download it in a few more months and give it a second chance.

This app was such a great idea when introduced especially with the amount of Salvadoran citizen living abroad and in the country. The idea of Bitcoin as a legal tender and creating an easier method for family members living abroad to financially help their family in El Salvador sounded wonderful. However, if only it would stop having so many technical issues, security issues, and poor customer service maybe one day it could be a trusted platform.

In my opinion, this application is very, very good and easy to use, but two years ago they gave it the last update. If I'm not reading correctly, they need to update it to correct errors and security.

Excellent start for what could be lift off for the people of El Salvador. App needs to show graph for BTC movement history. Would be even better if you could use technology like Apple Cash to pay at registers using contactless technology.

I downloaded the app but it’s giving problems to register i wouldn’t allow me to do it but I’m hopping that they fix the issue soon

Every time I want to use it always asks me to verify my identity and i have to put all my information over and over again..it’s really annoying to do it every time I want to use it and 95% of the time keeps giving me an error message..have to keep trying and trying to sing in every time until go’s in and then it’s start all over again.

I’m a Salvadoran native living in United States. I don’t have a DUI card but have my old passport which expired in 1993. I’m able to input the data including passport number and expiration year, but system won’t accept my info. Hopefully there will be a fix to this issue. Until then I cannot access app and start investing in El Salvador.

I really like the wallet very easy to use working a lot more stable now can’t wait for a future features and enhancements 👍 keep up the good work. Me gusta 👍

Considering what needs to be accomplished by this app, I say its the best wallet yet. Glitches are normal, none the less, knowing the great support for this project. I know this apl is just the beginning. #chivoWallet

I’m from LA and I filled out everything it said we had to do. I’ve been trying to log back in but it Just keeps loading. I hope it gets fixed.

Thanks for making this wallet work. I imagine a lot of challenges. But we definitely will see this working at the best.

I am trying to use this app, but every time I opened it gives an error message. User or incorrect PIN. I GO BACK TO FORGOT PIN AND IT GIVES THE SAME MESSAGE. I don't see a section where I can contact anyone for support. I like the idea of been able to sent money to my family direct from my phone but it's frustrating nit been able to use.

I am not new to crypto. I sent over $300 from an external wallet, and can see the transaction confirmed on the blockchain to the correct address. Chivo Wallet DOES NOT show the funds. Support is uneducated and useless. I can’t imagine how many people have “lost” money this way, and with no acknowledgment from Chivo, who knows if we’ll ever see those funds…

It’s a very convenient way to send money to relatives and friends living back home in El Salvador. It’s also very easy to pay and receive with bitcoin. 🔥🔥🔥😎

Didn’t have verification issues with the previous version, but now with the new version I’m unable to scan my DUI with my iPhone 14 Pro it’s stuck on the wide angle lens and is unable to focus. Have had issues depositing funds to my local bank account. Will update….

I downloaded the app set up my account with now issues back in August. However, since mid August the app doesn’t load past the opening screen where it says “Chivo Wallet”. It’s been like this for just over a month now. I cant access my funds within the account.

Does not work. It needs to get fixed. During the registration when it’s time to take a picture, it keeps saying that it failed and you have to restart over the process but it tells you the same thing. Don’t waste your time!

I have been sending money for the past 3 days now and it keeps on declining or it stays on pending for 24hours I don’t know what such app is this and I don’t think it’s reliable and the support isn’t workning fine

I have re-downloaded the app about 6 times and it still not letting me register is just giving me the option to log in but im not registered yet its pretty frustrating

Seems to be having issues transferring the info to another iPhone. Stuck on taking pictures of ID card also.

By controlling the money and users registration, they can used your personal informations to misused it and who knows what other criminal activities they can do. Never trust the Salvadoran government. Most of them have walk away with millions of dollars to other countries.

The app is good looking and it works. Hope this project will be the first step to a cashless society. Thank you Mr. President! Gracias!

80% of the time it gets stuck with the loading logo and never lets me in the app, too many issues but I really wish It will be solved soon, emailed them but no results or changes

After the new iphone IOS update to "ois 15" am no longer able to get access to the app.

I took a picture from my passport and then a selfie but already try this 9 times but still the system would not recognize me. This is frustrating.

Try to register can be a pain in the a$$$$! So frustrating… I’ll update when I actually register!

I downloaded it, and I got my 30 dolares,But now I try to open the app, it keeps buffing and buffing and it never pass from that point. I deleted it and downloaded it a few times and no luck.. IT keeps buffing and buffing.

I’m having a hard time logging in after I’ve changed my phone number and updated it. This app needs some upgrades 👎🏼.

I have been trying to get my account set up and it’s been saying please wait we are validating your identity. It’s been over a week and you cannot back out of that screen.

I was trying to open my account but when I try to check my identification , it say that something went wrong and I didn’t get my bitcoin.

I downloaded this app. It did work once then stop working it opens and start searching and won’t opens. I reset my phone and reinstalled the app and still the same issue.
