Awesome App
This app is amazing. Not only has it encouraged my kids to help out around the house, but it also helps them learn the value of money! My kids used to slouch around and watch TV all day. I tried everything such as setting screen times, adding punishments and even taking the batteries out of the remote. I thought it was a lost cause, until one day they came home talking about wanting money. I searched the Internet for an good quality chore app, with money allowances, and an app that didn’t look so baby-ish. When I found Chorsee, I downloaded the app and added my kids. When they saw that they could get money, they immediately started doing chores. They were even doing more than what was on their roster! They learned the value of money when they asked if they could have money for things like candy, games and toys. I told them it would come from their chore money, and their expressions suddenly changed. They didn’t realize that the money they got, was their actual allowance. Nowadays they really think before the buy something, since the money is coming from their own pocket. Thanks for creating a great app!

Started out great
I needed a way to assign chores to my three kids and I was trying a bunch of different chores apps. This one seemed to be the best by far! Easy to use, easy to set up and easy for the kids. So I tried it out for a while before deciding to buy it for the year. That was a mistake. Not sure why but once I bought the upgraded version the problems started. Everything looks correct on mine but my son was the first to tell me he had one chore on there twice. At first I didn’t think much of it I said just check them both off. But then the next day my daughter had chores missing on her list. When I looked on my master list they were on there but when I looked on hers she was right some just didn’t show up. I actually spent a good amount of time looking at everything to see if I somehow messed something up. Everything was set up correctly and my app had everything looking the way it was supposed to be but their apps didn’t always have the same as mine. Since purchasing the upgrade everyday there is at least one chore doubled or missing from at least one kids list. Some two kids get the same chore on their list when it’s supposed to rotate between them and it’s set up correctly. I’m kicking myself that I purchased the upgrade. Wish I would have left it alone while it was working perfectly.

New To App
Update to my previous comment. The developer is SO RESPONSIVE and extremely helpful! He has taken my suggestions into consideration to put some of the changes in the next update. Such as putting the chores in order by day instead of alphabetical order. Thank you Ben for ALL of your help and guidance! I may change my review later. I just started using this app. I love how easy it is to use and you can put a passcode in so only the parent can update the information. I love that you can add it as a widget on the Home Screen. I do wish we could do the following: Add our own photos for chores Chores show up in order by day it needs to be completed instead of alphabetical. Schedule when chore must be completed Minus funds if not done on time Move funds if they want to have a savings and spend account. On the main page for the children to show how much they have earned and saved. If there was a checklist that the children need to complete so they know they finished everything expected of that chore. (Example: wipe cabinets, sweep floor, mop floor, windex glass door).

Amazing app!
This app helps me stay on track, and then I don’t have to use up so much paper for lists, and then I also don’t need to carry around a pen to mark off every box, I just tap it! I am a kid and it helps me to do my tasks, but I still suggest it for grown ups too. I do not see much problems with this app, but I could be mistaken. The app lets you do sub tasks for each task, for example: clean your room: make your bed, organize books, wash clothes, etc. the app also lets you look at your progress of how many points you have earned, and if you are a parent you can monitor your kids to give them rewards for how many points they have. You can make your own tasks and edit them, same for the sub tasks. The app has one little thing that I want in it, it needs a productivity chart, a chart not like the one it has, an x and y chart that shows your productivity rate, if it drops or if it gets higher. But otherwise it’s a great way of doing your chores or tasks. I highly suggest that you use this app

UPDATE: AMAZING customer service!
UPDATE: You can read my previous review below. The developer emailed me personally and worked with us to fix the app. I cannot be happier. They obviously care greatly about their app and their customers. After trying 2 other chore apps whose developers went MIA, I’m more than impressed. I’ll highly recommend Chorsee from now on. Thank you SO much! I like that we can do points instead of money, and the interface is clean. But we’re less than a week into it, and it’s all types of buggy. It’s freezing constantly, telling the kids they don’t have chores when they do… it’s a mess. I really hope it straightens out soon so I don’t have to find another app. Update… it’s totally unusable today. Totally. My trial ended and I paid for the annual membership, and it’s unusable. It freezes. The lists disappear, and nothing is checking off the way it’s supposed to.

Life saver for our neuro-spicy family
We learned about Chorsee from a friend of a friend who has a kid with autism. We were talking about how to balance screen time with getting outdoors, getting chores and home work done, and being active and she said it really helped them. We set it up so points can be used as screen minutes or cashed in for allowance. It worked so well the first few days we bought a lifetime subscription. It’s gotten better and better as new versions have come out. The thing we love is that our kid can check the chores off on their iPad as they do them and then we can check together at the end of each day. It’s become a way for us all to check in and keep track of how much screen time we’re using balanced with getting outdoors. It really helps to make seemingly big tasks (like cleaning and organizing their room) accomplishable.

Great app!
Chorsee has supercharged our kids’ motivation for helping around the house! We used OurHome for many years, but the app’s backend services silently stopped working not long ago. This is a lesson to beware of apps that are completely free, as this is not a sustainable model. Someone needs to pay the cloud computing bill! Chorsee’s lifetime subscription is a worthwhile option, by the way. To anyone looking for a chore tracking app, I encourage you to look at the date the app was last updated. Chorsee has regular updates, which means the developer is actively working on improving the app. This is a good sign that it will not eventually become abandonware (like Our Home). The developer has also been responsive when I reached out for help. As an enterprise programmer/developer myself, I appreciate what I’ve experienced with this app and highly recommend it.

Why I love it
I used to absolutely hate doing chores no matter what even if I got paid or not but now when my mom signed me and my brother up for this, I just like love doing chores now and I just like wanna constantly do them even when they don’t even need to be done, and I think if your kids also struggle, I think this would be a good one. Also, what I do love about it is my parent can set Goals. For example, like she can set it $10 for double dessert and then me and my brother have to work up the amount of money for that if we want to spend it on that . Or other goals you would like to set for your kids and yes, parents are in control. This kids cannot really control it and it does show when you have done it or not with an X or check. You do also have to pay monthly though, but I think it’s worth it.

Great app!
I have been using this app for a few months to keep track of my children’s chores and so far I love it! We are doing the old fashioned chores for money approach instead of a points or reward system. I have four children and lots of chores to assign and this app has everything I need. I can assign chores daily, weekly, to everyone, just one person, or on a first come first serve basis. It is very user friendly and I can add or subtract money easily to their accounts. Recently, I had an issue come up with the app and I contacted the support email. I received a prompt response and the issue was resolved within a few days. I highly recommend this app to anyone looking for a easy way to keep track of their children’s allowance.

My house has never stayed this clean for this long!
It’s just my husband and I. We don’t have children. But apparently, we’re a lot like children who have to be told what chores to do when, in order to keep the house clean. We’re competitive and are both vying for the most points. What will we win? We’re still not sure. I’d love a spa day. Before downloading this App, the house would become an overwhelming mess before I even noticed that it needed to be cleaned. And once it would get that bad, I really didn’t feel like doing it. Now, it never gets messy, because every day we do little chores. It’s kind of fun! Now I know what it’s like to be a neat and orderly clean person, and I’m always ready to have company over.

Just started using app and loving it!
LOVE THIS APP! I love the 'take photo evidence' option! Also, make sure the first time you download the app to put everything you can think of right away when it prompts you to try it, and use the photo evidence button liberally because they will block adding more chores and photo evidence right away, thereafter, with prompt to add chores or photo evidence only if you upgrade. Luckily I started filling mine up the first try. Altogether, I love love LOVE having a cleaner house and chore-motivated kids! Even added a $1 a day chore of being kind to each other and no arguing and .10 for using seatbelt without being asked. Hoping for more kindness from my kids, too! We shall see! 🙏🏻

Great app!
I am not a family household but even as a single person it’s great. I would love some other features though. 1. Maybe a way to track when cleaning supplies are low? I’m sure for multiple person households this would be a helpful feature as well. 2. Also would like to have a spontaneous chores section. So like today I did chores ahead of time. I just want a way to document that these have been done and maybe once it’s tracked in the app, it would be great if the app rescheduled the chore accordingly without me having to readjust. Overall I love the app. The above are just some suggestions that I’d like to have all in one instead of getting a separate app.

GREAT support so I’m in!
I initially decided to use a different app, but even though I took my money elsewhere, Ben responded to my email request and let me know that he used my feedback to make the app better and even sent a screen video of the update, I was floored at this level of care for an app. So, while there are still things I’d like to see in the app, I think it’s really solid right now and will only get better with this level of care being given to integrating user feedback. This how the world should be: people making good things and supporting them. I hope this app grows and makes this developer PILES of money and continues to serve lots of people.

Great app for chores
Wow, never thought of an app with so many great features! You can do stuff like change the picture for the app logo, customize your pfp (that means profile picture if you didn’t know) you can mark of your chore and you can get points for it that let you do something your parents put on the list thing for what you can do with a certain amount of points! You can look at a chart to see what day you did your chores and what over people did there chores on, to. And a lot more. If your looking for an app that lets your kid of you let you tell your mom or dad when you finish, I recommend this.

Great app! Wish it had Regenerative Tasks.
Really impressed with this app so far. There are a lot of small touches that are great like being able to check chores off directly from a widget without needing to open the app, and customizable colors for each chore icon to make it easier to visually categorize or differentiate between chores. Two wishes so far: 1. Regenerative tasks. Some chores need the next due date to adjust based on the date they were last completed. For example, the next date I mow the lawn should be x days from the last time I mowed the lawn, not x days from when I was scheduled to mow the lawn. The app currently doesn’t support this which is a shame because it often tells me things are due when they’re actually not due. 2. It would be nice to be able to complete somebody else’s chore and get the points/allowance for it. Like if it’s John’s job to fold the laundry, but Jane fills in once for him, it would be nice if she could indicate that she completed it instead of John that one time.

Smart and Customizable
Let me just say that I’m one of those very particular people that can be hard to impress but I really like this app. It’s super functional in creating a flexible and personalized chore list to keep track and incentivize family participation. We are just getting started with it but it really has everything I need to customize this to our family’s needs. We have two teens so not sure how it works with younger kids (maybe has less bells and whistles) but it’s so easy to use that it seems like it could work for just about anyone. I’ll review again after a few months of use.

Just what we all needed!
Strikes a golden balance between enough control and enough simplicity. The app was extremely easy to deploy amongst the 6 members of the household. It has made keeping track of chore completion and assignment a breeze. While quite unexpected, the kids actually like having the app to reference even though it came with the addition of more daily chores! I would request the addition of iCloud backup, and the ability to mix reward points and monetary value amongst each child. Example; routine chores could accrue reward points to a goal, and special assignments could be monetized.

Good App but widgets don’t work
Update to my previous review. The developer has responded and has been very helpful answering my questions about the app. I am using it to help a child with ADHD and it is working like magic. Thank you so much. This seems to be a great app, but the widgets don’t seem to work right. It only shows a name and check marks but no info on what the chore was. I also emailed the developer a question about notifications but have not received a response, which is not what I expected based on the other reviews. If any of this gets addressed, I’d be happy to update the rating.

It’s good👍
You see the thing about Chorsee is that I don’t really have the time to like do it and that’s kind of my fault because I download so many like to do apps on my phone that I just forget all of them and don’t like cross it off but this this is the thing that I never forget to cross off. And I just think it is a such a good idea to like make up the idea OK the mom or the parent of this kid is going to give discipline and I love that like, this main seem silly but like I love whatever I can give my child’s discipline and one time they were even asking hey mom today can I have more stuff to do on Chorsee and I was like heck yeah and it’s so cool to me. Great job.

Change my life forever with my nine-year-old and 12-year-old
This is the best app we’ve ever had figuring out how to make it so easy for us to stay on top of my kids with their responsibilities. This is an app where we get to just teach the kids how to really clean up after themselves and have it be technologically advanced at their finger with their phone or their tablet I am a 100% disabled veteran. this really keeps it 100% honest with what the kids have done especially when some of the apps you can set up to have them provide a picture of proof I love this app

If you have separate households, not for you
This app is so great and has so many good features. You can alternate who does chores and even have separate chores for each kid. It is really good with organizing who does what and if you don’t want to offer money you can offer points for each chore and then have a prize to redeem once you reach a certain balance. However if you have separated households it doesn’t let you add a second house account so you either have to find a way to manage two houses through one house account or find a different app to use. Still a great app just wish it had this option :(

Fantastic chore tracking for parents
I am a parent of an older child who lives in a group home so we are not on the same WiFi. Chorsee is the FIRST app I found to allow remote tracking. I love the “photo proof” feature. It allows me to see and reinforce my son’s responsibilities and independence. The balance tracker (we use points) allows me to add or remove additional points for PRIVILEGES and CONSEQUENCES. The note lets me clearly communicate what the points (or minus points) are for. WISHLIST: I wish I could see older history to see dates of poor behavior to trace patterns of behavior and possible triggers.

Something is off
It has potential but we’re never going to consider whether we’d upgrade to add all chores if the basic doesn’t work just right. I am slower to learn, ok. But, it just doesn’t really hit the mark in terms of ease of use (like quickly tacking off a chore you’ve done) or in administration of said chores. So, if I can’t get people used to tacking off for all chores how will I know if this works? It’s leaning towards not, at this point. I’d like to see a feature where the chores for the day just pop up and people do them as they see fit since not every chore is an every day thing? I don’t know what my kids see on their screens, not how it reminds them. It’s a bit too complicated for the lack of ability to add the chores.

No completion notifications for admin
Overall I like the app. I use it to track the completion of chores that I am not there for and to organize family routines, and it does well. But for my needs, this app is so close to being amazing the at it actually hurts. The problem I have is that I would like to be able to receive notifications when chores are completed so that I don’t constantly need to open the app to see how things are going. And if they were really trying to impress they would make it so that you could toggle which kids you get chore completed notifications from. All kids are not equally responsible, and some need more than others.

Great chore app!
I love this app! I am able to keep everything so organized for a large number of kids. I can also share the app with them and they are able to have limited access on their own devices. The only thing I would REALLY want is to be able to have a calendar or something to be able to assign certain hires to certain people on certain day. Kind of like a drag and drop option and choose to repeat from that as well. I have 2 split households and a crazy schedule so that would benefit me.

Better than other apps
I tried other apps but really hated how other apps make me assign tasks by room. This just made it seem like I had 20 tasks to do in our smallest area of our house… This app feels very habit-based which is what we’ve needed. We don’t have kids so it’s just my husband and I and this is so helpful for getting us organized. I love how the tasks can be for everyone, anyone, or rotating. If you’re wanting to build the habit of cleaning and simplify, this is really the perfect app. It takes so much off of my mental load!

Convenient, Easy to use & OUTSTANDING
Outstanding Application! My household is constantly bustling, and we previously relied on Chore Buster, which necessitated printing a chore list each week. This app has simplified the process, making it easy for even my 7-year-old to view her chores, check them off, and take a photo of the completed task (my favorite feature). I don’t mind the cost—it’s $20 more for the yearly subscription, but in my opinion, it’s worth it. You truly get what you pay for. GREAT JOB!

Great incentive for kids
I have been using this with my kids age 9, 11 & 14. Creating the chores is super simple, and even assigning them. You can assign a chore for the kids to grab, or assign some specifically to each kid. You can use the point system or even $. One thing I wish I could do is remove the weekends from part of the rotation. Other than that this motivates my kids to mark off their chores and see their points go up for rewards!

Nice but..
I like the whole thing but 2 aspects. The biggest one is I wish you could mark a chore done that was due a day or two ago off on a different day. I don’t like teaching if it wasn’t done on time that it wasn’t done at all because you can’t learn like that. Second it’s to expensive for how simple and little that you can do with it. Only 10 chores if you don’t pay which is impossible, and it’s $100 a year! For my house that’s impossible, I have a strict budget and that I just can’t do… the only thing this dose more then a shared apple notes is it has a widget and reminds..

Makes Chores Fun!
We love this app as a family of 4. It’s helping hold everyone accountable for who’s contributing less or more to the home so they can get the encouragement or praise that they need! It’s also been fun to race each other through the chores to “farm” points so we can earn our special treats. We are even fighting over who gets to change the babies diaper now that it’s worth a point. Great App for busy families

You need this!
I love this! I gave it four stars though because through set up they do try to get you to purchase a plan but if you tap the x it’s literally free for up to 9 chores I believe. It has been tough getting my 6 year old to do daily tasks but with this I’ve created a chore list with points towards a goal. This go round she’s been begging for robucks so when her points reach 100 she can get 1.00 of robucks! My daughter has been doing her chore list on her own accord! I promise you, you need this!

Nice app. Heavily paywalled
Wanted to try this app out, but it’s $30/year to get even basic functionality. It’s be one thing if the paywall were around premium features, but instead they put it around basically everything. The signup process lets you create tasks as though truly can use the app with any number of chores, but don’t be fooled. They’re using bait-and-switch tactics to try to pressure you into paying. Ironically, if they were up front about the cost I might be interested—but since they used a UX dark pattern to trick users into paying they’ve lost any trust I granted them. Nice app. Disrespectful UX.

Loving this app so far!
Even though this is billed as being for families with children, I’m using this app with my spouse in our household of two and it does a great job of showing us who is holding up their end of the housework so that we can both better appreciate each other’s contributions to the household! Great, clean interface A few feature requests: - the ability to schedule a chore as monthly, weekly, etc WITHOUT needing to specify which a specific day it’s due. Just that this chore needs to be done at some point during the week - a Search function to quickly find chores to check off Minor bug fix: - when I enter my profile from the “People” tab, the bottom menu bar becomes transparent and overlaps with the tasks

Almost there
I want to use this app but it lacks one key feature. One app calls it “Away Mode”, which is where one child is away from the home and can me marked as such. Those chores assigned to that child are then picked up by others in the home. This is a big feature for larger families that have intricate rotations on chores. I love everything else including the interface of this app. I’d make the switch if this feature was available.

Would definitely re download and pay for subscription if cash out/reward claiming function is added.
First app that I downloaded when looking for something to help unload the mental load of household tasks. I love that you can list a chore and add all the steps needed to be taken in order for the chore to be done as expected. GREAT FEATURE. The developer is very interested in user feed back! I love how involved they are! Actually an app maker that cares about what it’s users really want!! There’s isn’t a cash out/reward claiming function since I last checked (which was a make or break for my husband) So we are using another app for now. I look forward to re-download and paying for a subscription for the app if cash out/reward claiming function is added as the developer mentioned is in the works!!

Best way to get your kids to do their chores
This app is a really good app except one thing. First, you can set your kids your husband or boyfriend and yourself’s chores. Second, you can set allowances for when they do their chores. Hopefully your kids are honest and actually do their chores. Next, this app is completely add free so there will be know sitting there waiting for a add to pass. Finally, you cannot put this app on a widget it will mess up everything. But otherwise it is awesome

Looks promising but at the moment a failure for me.
As another reviewer has stated, duplicate chores show up on the assigned users list of chores and then once hacked complete the app also awards them the duplicate points which make tracking useless. The app its self looks promising. Even if the above issues where to be fixed I an not even about to pay the $3?.00 a year to use it when I can create a shared spreadsheet for free. Don't get me wrong I like the app and has great potential but I would pay a onetime fee of $5 - $10 for the app.

Love it!
We have been using this app in the free version for 2-3 months and I (Mama) am loving it! Having ADHD makes it hard for me to follow through, but this makes keeping track of chores and earning much more doable! I wish their was a way to see how much was earned this week or this month so that we could break it into save/spend/give our a way to designate that for each chore, but even without that feature this has been a game changer.

I got a new phone recently and my parents are divorced so I came back from my dads house and I had my new phone. I got the Face ID working and started looking through my apps. Then I found this app and I started doing it. I still don’t understand it the best but I try to keep up with it. (Even though I haven’t done it in 2-3 weeks) I can’t say I’m that big of a fan but it works better than a actual irl chore chart. Ps. I’m only 10

So far so good
So far I am having a good experience with this app. I am giving this a less than 5 star rating because it does not work on the M1 chip mac like the description says it would, the app freezes up. So I have to toggle between admin mode on the iPad my kids use to update their chores. I also wish there way a way for tasks to deduct points. For ex: If I have a task for electronic time, instead of it adding points to their balance, I'd like to deduct points from their balance.

Just Starting to Use
I have used other chore apps in the past and this one seems to function similarly. The one thing that I seem to be missing or maybe can’t figure out is how to skip a reoccurring chore for a child if it does not need to be done that week. Ie..I just vacuumed on Friday because we were having company and now I don’t need the room vacuumed the next day. It can wait till the next regularly scheduled Saturday.

Great idea for some families
We are a very large family. I usually use dry erase boards to organize the cleaning. I am looking for something to make things easier. This app could be nice, but with only 10 chores available before I need to upgrade, I can’t really give it a good test. I have more people than that, so I would run out of chores in the free version before I even got everyone 1 assigned chore. So I like the idea, but it’s not something I can even test without upgrading. And I don’t pay for anything until I know I will continue to use it.

This has duplicated chores points. I tried to email support but was unable to
This app has duplicate points. It duplicates multiple chores for the same day and throws off the point system. It’s pointless to have this if you are trying to keep track of what people are completing. on one of the profiles, they did one chore multiple a day. When it is set to once a day. I attempted to email customer support. Unfortunately i keep getting an error. I think a refund is due

Very basic which is perfect for tracking
This App has helped us. We were using a paper chart but my children would forget to mark down what they did bc teens are so phone focused now. With this app they can track anywhere they are. I wish I could reset their money balance on a certain day and time after we have paid out now, I believe, you have to do it manually.

Promotes independence
Love this app! My kids (7 & 12) are doing chores without me asking or reminding. It is teaching them to work hard for things they want to buy and patience to wait until they have enough money. I love that I can customize chores based on the day and what each child can complete. The photo requirement is also a plus!

Good chore app
I really like the simplicity and cleanliness of the UI. This app has most of the basic functionality that I need and it’s well done. I however have a suggestion that would make it much more useful for our family. We use screentime as a reward but we also limit the amount of it kids receive per day. It would be great if we could apply rules to how rewards can be repeated. For example, once per day. That way I can create a reward, say 60 min. Of Screentime, that my child can claim up to x number of times per day. I would also want to get a notification when he finishes paying for the reward in order to unlock his device for his screen time. Thank you for this great app!
