Overall good app but is laggy. There also needs an update to the additional income fields. The employment income field clearly states to add in GROSS income, while the additional income simply states to add monthly income. Both fields should be exactly the same as now will have to explain to lender that those monthly incomes fields are my NET income numbers.
This app made it so easy to apply and securely upload the required documents. There are a lot of bad review about not being able to access your current mortgage but that’s not what this app is for. It’s for applying, checking the status of your loan in process, and using the loan calculators!
I applied for a home loan directly on their website and submitted all of the documents on the same day. Downloaded their app shortly after and after a few days I messaged my agent for any timing updates because I am new to this process. The next day she messaged back saying that she would have it done that day and I haven’t heard anything! It has been 2 weeks now! No communication and I decided to apply with this company because of their great customer service reviews. Is there something that I am missing?
CMG was wonderful to work with! Scott is amazing we’ve now utilized his services for 3 separate closings personally and have referred him to friends that also closed with him. He’s our forever mtg broker.
Local agent’s business card linked to this app. I downloaded it and used it to upload ALL of the necessary documents. Couple weeks later, the agent asked me for all the same docs. I told her they were uploaded to the app. She said that was a black hole—they don’t use it. Since then, the app has been delivering nonsensical notifications concerning the progress of our mortgage application. If you download it, make sure the agent is on board with it first.
The CMG itself is really good and I really enjoyed working with them ,but the mobile application is a disaster! What is this? You are gonna sell me another loan?!! This app doesn’t let you to manage your existing loan. I , as a user and also programmer never recommend any company to develop an app that doesn’t cover the necessary functions. This app make the CMG look out dated company. Please please fix the issue or delete it from app store. This app mostly look like a scam.
I loved my home purchase experience with CMG as my lender, but this app doesn’t allow you to mange your mortgage once you’ve closed on your house. No ability to see your payoff balance, view your escrow activity/payments, and no way to track mortgage payments. Please update this app so I have the ability to manage my mortgage from my phone!
Useless without being able to pay the mortgage. Who applies for a mortgage on an app? I only came to CMG because my mortgage was sold to them to manage, so far the online payment site feels like it’s out of 1999, and the app doesn’t even have the bare minimum functions of what the co Lang does, service existing mortgages. Lame.
No Mobile Web - Redirects to App that doesn’t work
One star because the app throws an error no matter what I try to login. Automatic redirect on Chrome or Safari and can’t continue filling out application unless I download the app. The App just says call support. Is your app down right now?
The app is good but the people are not! I applied to get a home loan and send everything they need, after a few weeks I never heard nothing from them, so I tried contacting them through the app, Text, email and calls, but they ignored me.

I closed a loan with CMG - the loan officer was great. Then I downloaded the app to manage my mortgage and payments - but all it let’s you do is apply for another loan??? Useless - get with the program, CMG
Terrible app!! Get with the program already! I can’t manage current loan and all you want me to do is buy another one! Please sell my loan to a company who isn’t clueless.
Please make an app that is functional & useful. How about after you’ve received the loan from CMG & moved in, link to the site so I can make a payment! There’s an idea!
My loan was transferred to CMG. Unlike every other lender app I have used (PENNYMAC, Mr. Cooper, MyFairwayServices, and Cornerstone), I cannot use the CMG app to manage the existing loan or make payments on it. Worthless app for my purposes.
