Can you leave zero stars? First you have to completely start with new sign up if you are using original app, they don’t work together. During sign up get error “Registration process disabled call customer service”. Call customer service and told to remove app and reinstall. Do so and get same result trying to sign up. Call customer no service again, first CSR puts me on hold, second CSR puts me on hold, third CSR picks up after 15 minutes waiting for real solution and tells me to delete app and reinstall. All of this was started from suggestion by the security department after previous card was disabled due to an unknown $.49 charge creating lack of access to MY funds while I waited to weeks for new card. And not the fist time have been shut out due to a security violation. Have another account at regional bank and no issues with security issues of cards or apps operations in 25 years. There must be better options.
Horrible design. Wait till you have to replace a debit card. Need to call and have all the prior info completely unregistered. Then delete the app and start all over. Can’t use your previous COASTAL24 credentials which is really dumb. Should be allowed so cards are automatically loaded. But you need a new userid etc then enter cards. But wait…for a new debit card to be added you need to use it first with your PIN!!!!!! And new debit cards are not recognized the first day! You can’t delete old debt cards is you had then deactivated. What a joke. Plus…you set up alerts but sometimes they come immediately and sometimes they come the following day. Da…they need to be instantly! Best to use ApplePay with the card. At least that alert works. Sad app!
Downloaded and started to use for it the first time only to discover how difficult it is to use. First, it’s not integrated with the coastal app so now I have to re-enter all my card info (which is already with my account), creat a new user name (which I’ll probably forget), create another password (also probably forget) and it won’t let me paste the new password into the form (which means it’s not going to be complex or unique BC I can’t copy and paste it from my password generator). Enough! I just deleted it. Sorry Coastal, this one’s a loser.
I downloaded this app over two months ago and it is never worked. I can see the transactions I have made with the card but when I go to look at the detail of those transactions, the app closes. I have been in contact with Support many times and they had me too delete and reload the app a few times which erases all the previous historical information, and it still doesn’t work. I would rate it zero but I can only give it one star. I’m very disappointed they can’t fix it and make it work.
I found it strange that I could not log in with my Coastal account and that I had to make a separate account for this app even though the accounts shown once I made the new login are exactly the same as in Coastal24. I like the options to restrict transactions and other settings for different cards to be handy and easy to change.
I am slightly disappointed that this feature is not integrated with my current banking app. There is potential for both apps to gain better functionality however, that’s only if Coastal can invest more time and money into different and more talented human capital who will truly upgrade their technology with enhanced interfacing to enter and maintain a competitive and comparative experience amongst the financial industry.
After downloading the app, everything seemed fine. I created a new login, entered one of my cards information. After that it gave me an error message box: “The response from the system was incomplete. Some of your information may not be displayed.” I now can’t get passed the login screen. I have never gotten to the part where you are actually supposed to be able to manage your cards.
Really disappointed in this app. Has such potential but until the bugs get worked out. It is worthless. I have all my cards on it. The server keeps going down and I can’t access the app to unlock my card. I’m out of town and had to borrow cash from family for gas to drive home.
When creating an account, it doesn’t allow my phone to suggest a strong password, which is pretty bad practice. Other apps do, not sure why they're blocking this. Also isn't allowing my phone to save my password. after creating an account and logging in, it crashes when I try to add a new card. and after it crashes, it no longer automatically uses face ID to log me in, I have to enter my password again, which the app doesn’t give me the option to save, and enable Face ID all over again. this is too much of a pain. I’m deleting the app.

The only thing this app has seemed to do for me is make any charge I normally have done get rejected with no way to say hey don’t do that and now the app just says network error and my debit card doesn’t work at all.
This app is only useful for reviewing charges to a credit card. It show the minimum payment due, but not the current statement amount due. The Coastal App does not show it either. Is it that hard to show the credit card due amount from the statement? The app shows the minimum payment. WHY NOT THE CURRENT DUE????
Does not support password manager integration (iCloud keychain or 3rd party). Also, doesn’t allow pasting into the password field. Feels pretty sketchy to me when compared to many apps that support these things out-of-the-box.
I had no issues until 2 days ago now I get that my network has error and retry again but my internet works perfectly as I work from home. Please fix this issue because I get error message and it’s preventing me from using my card!!!!
After updating to latest release, login and app went into tight loop giving error message about server with options of ok or cancel. Both options result in the same error message.
The other reviews are all spot on- doesn’t work with Apple password management at at all- completely useless! I deleted it seconds after download... try again Coastal and this time don’t embarrass yourself!
CFCU is very dated with its apps. So much so that it’s easy to move away from them. Then when they try to compete with superior products like what Chase offers, CFCU fails miserably. Why do they do that????
Will not work with any password managers nor will it allow me to copy and paste my very complex password. Deleted it. Do better, Coastal. Your attempt at security isn’t secure at all.
Difficult & insecure setup process - separate login needed!
I was shocked at how difficult the setup process was for this app: - doesn’t use your existing Coastal login — you must setup a new one - requires you to enter all the info needed to steal your account access - full card number, expiration, CVV, zip code, mailing address, last 4 of SSN. Very uncomfortable. - new account password has a max of 12 characters?!? - app prohibits pasting into the password field, so you’ll have to type your password manually Please improve these things, Coastal. This needs to be better. This is not an acceptable level of security.
Won’t work with password manager. Won’t log me in when I type the password. Don’t need another time wasting app , fix it or keep the old one that does work
Hasn’t worked in days. Same message over and over, “unable to connect to server”. The bank says nothing is wrong with the app, but multiple devices fail, Apple and Android. It barely works when it’s working, but now it’s useless.
