Very good app but I know it will be better

The company is great I can tell these guys are involved and respond to people and take their inputs. My only complaint with the app is that it isn’t as polished as many of the free ones which is a little odd considering the price of this guy if you want to go all out with it like I’ll do when they get the clean up the app. The web browser version with all the API (paid) and spreadsheet input options is epic but the app falls flat when you can’t even view your trade/transfer history. Most of the screens are cluttered and instead of when you tap on a currency and it showing you your history with it it shows you it’s market cap moving average chart. This doesn’t make sense to me and it should show my moving average of my portfolio with selected currency. Oh well these guys are great and soon enough I bet it will be a 5 Star app!

Frustrating issues

I like the app and the website in general. But I previously used blockfolio and manually entered my transactions. I bought a pro license of cointracking to be able to have api imports pull in that data in a reasonable period of time. So far no luck, and when I have to manually enter a trx the api import isn’t smart enough to prevent duplicates. Also not being able to define the exchange price where u r holding your cryptos leads to misleading portfolio values. And lastly a feature blockfolio has, I cant see charts in the last hour or 12 hours or 3 day or 1 week. I’ve spent too much time trying to push in my data and trying to deal with these shortcomings that I wish they would at least offer a refund policy. Gonna call them tomorrow and see if any reason I should feel satisfied with my purchase and the app.

Accurate and informative.

When I’m using any other currency tracker, there’s always the chance/probability that I’m going to make an error as I manually input the trade information. But because the CoinTracking app can work with real data exported from the exchanges I’ve worked with, the information is accurate. The app also displays the information in different ways beyond what I’ve seen in the coin trackers I’ve been using. Not only does it have the same or similar groaned as any other coin tracking too, but it also displayed other types of graphs. And ... the app is synced with the desktop web site. That’s very helpful.

Amazing app !!!

Been looking for something to manage all my cryptos from when I started trading. Used Blockfolio which is a nice UI but everything is manual. With this app I did a little legwork and downloaded all reports from all my exchanges imported it into the website and woolah it shows all my buy sells and even shows when I transferred it from one wallet to another ! Next step is to use the Bittrex API to do everything automatically from here on out. As for the app it does basically what the website does. Not the best of UIs but it works and gives me the info that I need at a moments notice.!

Good but lacks a lot of polish

What can I say, the app does what it says it does. Lots and lots of data. But just like CoinTracking’s website, it’s obvious they don’t know much about modern UI/UX design. It’s very clunky. This app hasn’t been updated in 2 years, which is a really bad sign. It doesn’t support the newer, dynamic iOS widgets, so it’s stuck all the way at the bottom of the widgets screen. All in all, it’s very utilitarian. If they could just hire some solid design talent and revamp the app completely, it would be a much better experience.

Great app for keeping track of crypto

I tried a couple apps before I found this one and glad I didn’t stop looking. This is exactly what I was looking for to manage my crypto trading and tax reporting. Takes a bit to get comfortable with everything but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it. Very flexible and I’m consistently finding functionality that I didn’t realize it had. Can’t recommend it enough. The companion web site is also top notch and has even more features than the app.

Finally an App I can love!!!

I have tried a dozen crypto apps, promptly deleting most. While researching tax reporting requirements I came across their website which is recommended by Forbes as one of two solutions anyone should consider who trade crypto. I am thrilled to gave this and will gladly purchase it once I get my portfolio going full speed. There are some quirks with imports from Coinbase (it didn't bring in transaction fees) but otherwise I have nothing but good to say about it. I gave the link to me CPA and he is going to recommend it to his clients.

Best tracker so far

I've tried several of these, this is by far the best. Most intuitive interface, wallet and exchange connectivity, and tax reporting made simple and easy. Of course, nothing is perfect. Every once in awhile I have to go in and correct a transaction that was imported automatically. But even this is really easy to catch and fix once you're in it. Make it easy on yourself, spend a little money for the crypto tracker that does all the work itself.

Good Functionality

Update: App works great after server load was reduced. Appreciate the developer getting back to me. Wish there was a better refresh rate (or active/Ajax?) than once every 15 minutes. Adjusted from original 1 star rating to 4 stars as app performs as advertised. Resolve the refresh minimum and it’s 5 stars! Thanks- Original: Not sure if it’s the new version or what, but every time I try to log in (WiFi or Cellular) it says that it cannot connect to the server. Tried reinstalling, etc. to avail. Website works great, wish the app did too...

Excellent portfolio app

Love this - and would love to see some improvements. If the graphing functionality was better then this could also be used to track prices. But the graph resolution doesn’t update when you zoom in on the time scale. Also it’s generally clunky. So I also need to have the CoinMarketCap app running alongside. Additionally it would be great to get auto notifications if there are big changes in your portfolio without needing to manually setting them. So any change greater than X% in X hours will trigger a notification.

Incredibly useful

The app and more importantly the website are simply INCREDIBLE!!! I imported all my trades from two different exchanges and it reconciled everything and computed my tax liability, plus a zillion other stats, all in one go. No futzing, no error correction, it just did it, all accurate to the penny - I am simply blown away. And it all syncs to the app and now all that data is in my pocket. Can’t wait to get the API exchange syncing up and running, totally worth the subscription fee. Bravo!

Bloated app

The app is extremely clunky. There are pages of metrics, none of which are designed for readability. There is a page for "trends" which looks like a list of all cryptos, but ordered by volume. There is no way to sort by market cap. In fact, of all of the metrics tracked in this app, market cap is not one of them. Most apps can fit this information into a well designed and intuitive layout but CoinTracking does its best to do the exact opposite. It's a complete shame because CoinTracking has automatic exchange syncing through the exchanges' APIs, which means no more manual trade entries. Unfortunately that benefit can't overcome the cumbersome usability for their app.

Reaaly nice app

I looked at several accounting apps and none are as advanced as this one. The api s link in daily. The reports are excellent and the forms interface is very well done. Additionally the mobile app which is read only gives a good presentation of your portfolio. I was a little stand off ish at first. But very pleased so far. Would highly recommend this app for accounting. It pulls in my swift credit card from coinbase seamlessly. This is going to be important when doin some kind of taxes in f*k$&@ NY laws

Great Portfolio and Easy Tax Reporting

This app provides several much needed features. The tax reports it creates are excellent and it was fairly simple to combine my info from all the sources involved. The best feature, though, is the real-time portfolio view which combines all your various wallets to show you gains and losses by coin/token and overall. Thanks for a great app and service!

Great, but wish I could switch accounts faster

This is the best app for your crypto! Can the developer please create a one button way to switch between accounts? Maybe swipe up and down at top? Or press a small drop down and change?

Okay app but desktop software is better

Could use improved UX. And also the ability to see PnL of different trades of the same asset, instead of the average of all of one asset’s trades. Seeing the trades is any currency (only USD and BTC supported), and customizing that view per asset, would be a great tool to have :) overall looking forward to improvements and will stick with them.

Disappointed

Balances are all out of whack and I’ve connected all the exchanges using api. Huge negative cash balance on coinbase, negative Neo balance on Bittrex probably because neon wallet is not supported, doesn’t refuse my binance balance the amount of my fees paid in binance coin so my balance is incorrect. I paid for two years of pro service only because I did not want to manually enter transactions on Blockfolio anymore and wanted it to consume little to now time after setup. Very disappointed.

Great service, app is meh

It’s a shame CoinTracking doesn’t make improvements to their app because they derive is great. Many of the free apps have better features and so does the main dashboard on the desktop awebsite. I wish CoinTracking would add some of these things to the app. Some lacking features: * candle stick charts * minute and hourly charts (not just 14 day) * show percentages instead of balances * hide balances * screenshot sharing * tracking coins I don’t own * ability to hide coins I have very little of or don’t care about (I get a lot of annoying air drops)

Solid but needs to be overhauled for modern times

This app is good but honestly could use an overhaul. It looks really out of date relative to other crypto portfolio apps, and isn’t even near feature parity with the desktop website. Overall solid but could use modernization.

It’s a neat app. Had some glitches importing deposits and withdrawals correctly but that’s mostly to do with exchanges and not with the app. Excellent coin management, edit features, coin portfolio, trade analysis, P/L reporting, and tax reporting features. There is no other crypto app as versatile as this at present for tracking crypto portfolio.

Super slow & non-responsive

This app was great until the increase in traffic and now most of the time it’s non-responsive. The company isn’t working fast enough to upgrade their services. Will be looking for another apps or tool for coin tracking.

Big Fan of the Web App

Doesnt require unnecessary personal info to open an account and it’s easy to import/export your data. A really great product made with their users in mind. Can’t recommend it enough 👍🏼👍🏼

Love the Service... Supbar App

I have been loving the CoinTracking service website and have subscribed to the full feature set. Very useful breakdowns and tax reporting. Unfortunately the iOS app is a subpar experience. Please make some updates for iOS14 including native widgets. Will come back and update to 5 stars if improvements to the app are made. Thanks.

Leaves a lot to be desired

Trying to transition to this from blockfolio but as another user said there’s a few things missing... 1) would like to be able to see the charts in different time periods, 1d, 1w, 1m, 3M etc 2) REALLY miss being able to see the 24hr high and low for each coin 3) would like to see 24hr % and dollar change in portfolio 4) Would love to be able to add coins to the home screen that I’m watching even if I don’t currently have holdings in them 5) would much prefer candlestick charts. This is a BIG one Some tweaks inspired by Blockfolio’s design would really make this app far more user friendly. Right now it can’t give me the full snapshot I need.

Deceiving payment structure.

The payment setup is deceiving. They add all your transactions up through the years and once all your accumulated transactions are over the next transaction limit, they force you to pay for upgrades. Even it you only had 200 transactions that year. Also refused to give a refund when I requested one, because I couldn’t use their software without the upgrade.

The only real online solution for tax time

Tax time for traders is a mess without great record keeping. Cointracking is the only real solution I found. It’s not perfect but it is better than any other portfolio tracker by far for high volume traders.

Wish I could rate it lower

Too slow to use efficiently, the notifications would be so late that I would miss out if I planned on buying or selling... the app is extraordinarily slow, it’s practically useless, the altcoins I was following weren’t updating in real time, or in no time at all they seem to stay at same price no matter how long I waited and that’s after waiting a minute or so for them to load in the first place, don’t waste hour time or space with this vaporware

Everything you need in one spot.

I tried every single app and finally found this one. It a web service with an accompanying app and works with Bittrex data seamlessly. This app is a must have for all Alt traders.

Great application for tracking P&L on all crypto trades

With the new tax law in the USA which says all crypto trades are taxable (even crypto to crypto trades) this is the application that tracks all of this for you so that you can be compliant if you desire. Otherwise just a great application for tracking P&L on your crypto.

Cointracking is the best I’ve found

The website is the best I’ve found for tracking crypto trades and the app is a welcome addition. I would love to see the number of units owned on the gains page. That would make it complete.

Superb mix of desktop/mobile

Excellent to either auto-import from exchanges or do the tedious manual entry on desktop, then be able to quickly check on mobile. No other crypto tracking apps do this, so CoinTracking for the win. Thanks devs.

Best app+web combo. So versatile. Perfect. Some bugs occasionally (signal-less loading things like that) nothing that could demote this from a 5-star app though. Keep it going!

The best you can find, still needs work.

Great for just Holding Terrible if you are trading. Paid for 350$ for the unlimited version. Still doesn’t fit my needs. I need it to show my recent trades and cost, not an average on the course of my history with certain coins. App only offer a fraction on what you can actually do on a window browser. Definitely feels like a beta or pre release The app still needs a lot of work and only show a fraction on what the website offer.

Works Great Except for 1 Problem

The graph at the bottom of the “Charts” page no longer works. I love to look at it. Loved. Now it’s a source of frustration. Hope to see it fixed.

Perfect app

I can sync it via internet to multiple phones. Very easy to use. It is free but I would pay for it. I highly recommend this app

Rough setup

Not automatic and black holed my pnl from the first data load (xlsx import). Working through it but I already like the manual input apps I use. Automation was the killer feature but it got it wrong out of the gate leading to manual effort to reconcile. Nice interface. Weird UX and not self contained with registration and all features in the app - you need to register and fuss with the website.

Great app for crypto

It has everything what you need to manage your crypto. Pull coin from different exchanges and wallets for easy analysis of your portfolio. Great stats and graphical features. Excellent app!

Amazing but new bug!

Not very intuitive for all the details I need

Support the total lack of customer support makes the smallest things that you really need badly huge issues! For small accounts I guess it’s OK but for larger ones I’m looking for another service

Great app but...

Your logo / app icon is horribly ugly!! Can’t you make it look better? Honestly feel bad for rating it based off this but it looks SO bad in my opinion I actually hide it from my main app page, thus making me use it far less. It looks like it should be a logo for a fax machine company from the 1990’s. Dull, boring and ugly.

Great app for tracking

This is a great app, simple to use and provides a lot of data. I’d just like the ability to make updates on the app as opposed to having to go to the website.

Lots of work if you don’t use api

Entering manual transactions or using cvs or xls files to download transactions is messy. I have spent lots of time fixing balances. Fee tracing is difficult. My balances are seldom exactly right. The paid version may be better but I can say for sure.

Very helpful

Really helps to track coin value. Interface can be a bit confusing. Would also be nice to be able to reorder the coins how you want them.

Slow server issues

Honestly this app was great and seemed like a huge improvement over Blockfolio. However, I switched from Blockfolio because of constant server/refresh issues but CoinTracking has been running into the same problems for about 3 days straight now

Graph just stopped working

Don’t know what’s going on with this app. Stuff just stops working for no reason. The graph section now shows nothing… makes the app pretty frustrating to use and no longer worth it. Makes me think I should swap from their main website too
