I had done so much research but the app figured it out so quickly. I thought I was dark autumn but the app said true autumn and it’s definitely right. You have to play around with multiple pictures where you are in good lightning and no makeup so your natural skin tone and color isn’t distorted. The only downside is the blonde hair colors are not accurate. They have so many colors but no honey blonde. It really would help to add ombré or highlight options. Hair was the main reason I got the app so I ended up cancelling before the trial was up.
It was spot on with my skin tone and color palette for clothing but the options for hair color are terrible they are all just solid colors and don’t look realistic, none of them looked good on me even some colors I have done before in real life and liked. I want to dye my hair a radical color that I’ve never done before and I wanted to see what goes well with my skin tone, and I know that just a solid color would look too tacky so I need some shading and highlights in there (done professionally). Also they didn’t have my eye color as an option either, my eyes are a dark blue with brown around the pupils very simple, there not a rare color like purple. Plus when I tried to check the makeup part of it I was disappointed when trying out the lipstick, I have petite lips and when I tried on lipstick it gave me big lips making me look like a blow up doll. I am really sorry for saying this but I find this app to be tacky and unrealistic.
This is a great app, and very consistent and accurate. I ran multiple photos of my bf and myself, and it always came out the same. Supplementing with a little internet research, I now have a refined understanding of our color palettes beyond what was possible when I first became interested in this subject back in the 80s (there were only four "seasons" then). I don't have a need for any of the in-app purchases, but I wanted to make up for that by leaving a review. BTW I'm a guy!
I’ve looked high and low for an app that actually works! I love that I can copy pictures of clothing I’m considering purchasing and the app can analyze the colors so I know if I’m going to look my best. It is so bothersome to purchase clothing that is adorable on the model, receive it and then discover the color is awful on you. This app takes the guesswork out of that. It is so worth trying!
This app puts me in warm autumn, soft autumn and warm spring, which is fine. I am assuming it’s because of different pictures in different light. My biggest problem is that it doesn’t tell you the colors. For instance, there is a variety of oranges, browns, greens and blues on my color palette. But what is the color name? I tried the my wardrobe effect for what I thought was my color but it said only 8% and suggested a similar color choice, I don’t know what color it is. Same goes for makeup, what color is the eyeshadow, blush or lipstick? Am I missing a step?
Dressika truly cares about helping their users find their season. If you have trouble determining via their app I suggest reaching out to their team. Overall app features are exceptionally helpful, allowing you to see which colors are best suited to your features including clothing, makeup, etc.
The first time I used it (about a month ago), everything worked great. I tried to use the app again today and I keep getting a message saying it can’t recognize my face - even for photos I previously used. Uninstalled/ reinstalled and had the same problem except now I get an error message. Something about not being able to find a makeup filter. App deleted.
I was typed as a dark autumn, even though I am a bright winter. I wish there was a way for me to use the app, knowing that I’m a bright winter, but it only types me as a dark autumn. I even tried different celebrities who had different skin tones, bit were still dark skinned, and they got typed as a dark autumn as well. They need to work on being able to detect different skin tones, and undertones.
The app works really well and my analysis was really accurate I only have a few things I wish were diffrent the camera really disorients my face and I wish there was a option to do multiple peoples analysis so my friends could see there’s that feature may already exist if so please let me know how to do it
I don’t think this is a problem with this app so much as AI color analysis generally. But I get a different result every single time I enter a new picture. The pics that I have taken just sitting in the same place in my room (no change in lighting between pictures) have either come up as Warm Autumn or Cold Summer! That’s a pretty big difference!! The pics with any change in lighting at all are even more random.
I’ve seen “color analyst” that do this for a living mess up and get people’a colors wrong many times! Take a picture with natural light (not too bright) without makeup and it’s perfect!
$9.99 per week. Supposed to give you three chances a day to try a new analysis, like hairstyle, makeup, or glasses shape. I thought I would try glasses shape on first day of subscription. Thought they would show suggested shapes on my photo. Nope. Just said “don’t get round glasses, try rectangular ones”. On second day, supposed to get three more analyses. Though I would try my husbands photo. Ha ha. Can’t! Need to wait 7 days to use new photo. Then, tried new analysis on old pic, and it said I have zero credits today. What a SCAM.
The subscription pricing is confusing as not all have the advertised free trial, which I found out when I was charged instantly. I went through Apple to request a refund and heard back from the developer then, who did authorize a refund. The process was confusing but I appreciate the response
Super accurate and helps me understand my palette visually. I'll definitely be using this when buying clothing and selecting hair colors. Just wish the colors had general names to reference so I knew how to describe the color to my hairstylist, know what colors to search for online, etc.
I have deleted this app 3 times off my phone now, but after a few hours the app shows up again!!! Update: Definitely did not appreciate the undertone in the response. And I know how to delete apps. I’ve tried the regular way, and by going into settings to delete the app. I’ve restarted my phone and everything, and finally after additional attempts the app has not reappeared & hopefully is removed for good.
I was really struggling to figure out what color season I was, and this one really led me right to it. They show you colors next to your photo and it made it pretty obvious to me what were my good colors!
This app put me in a summer season while I am an Autumn and wouldn’t allow me to change. I have been charged for the app and there is no way to ask a question. It might be fun but it is worthless showing the wrong colors. I deleted the app would I have to pay again to find the right seasons? Where is customer support?
This app does not disappoint! I started with the three day trial and ended up purchasing the app shortly after!! And I don’t do that often!!! It allows you to view colors and makeup styles on a photo of yourself and much more!!
I wanted to try the free version before purchasing the app. Glad I did. The app doesn’t offer hazel as an eye color and I had to guess which circle best matched my hair color. Then when it analyzed my skin color it said I was much darker than I am in reality. I am so fair I need the lightest color offered by foundations. What the analysis showed was wrong because it got the skin color wrong.
Maybe this app works well for folks whose natural coloring is represented on this app, but it’s grasping at straws if you solidly between shades. I repeated the color analysis process a few times with the colors listed that sandwich my natural coloring and the results were wildly different. If you are naturally a red-ish head (but not quite a ginger) then this app is probably not for you
I’ve tried using multiple photos and it was matching me to colors that do not look good on me. I am a neutral that leans to the cool side. This app was matching with seasons that look awful. I look horrible in the orange and yellow, and it was saying that I was a warm and I’m not a warm. Do not recommend at all. I’ve ran it through a different times and it was giving me different seasons as well.
Despite trying with different pictures, the app keeps giving the color palette that everyone says I don’t look good on, which I have also noticed. According to my understanding, I’m a dark winter, since those are the colors I get compliments on when I wear them and I love how good they look on me. The app kept telling me I’m a dark autumn. No sir, I’m not, I look dull when wearing those colors.
The color of my eyes is in between a green and a blue, and depends on what color I am wearing. If I am in the bright sunlight, my eyes are clearly blue. If I am inside, they are more of a teal. This option was not presented in here so I had to select a color that was not accurate for my eyes which might limit the accuracy to the results
I don’t think that this is accurate because I have so many times been diagnosed as a winter. This app after I followed the directions said I was a bright spring!!! I don’t understand that at all!! I have cool tones in my skin. Is it something I did wrong???
I like the app and it helped me find what clothes to wear and stuff but every click there is an ad and I couldn’t change the picture I originally had but it’s okay🙂
Great but I wish the creater would have it so it could show you what outfits you have saved on there go together, but overall it is good job at finding your colors
I keep getting two options each time I reassess my photos. I’m either Soft Autumn sometimes or Soft Summer. I can’t trust which one is the correct one. Not sure why but a little frustrating to get multiple answers.
I used the same picture and got at least different results — all seasons except summer. The color combination feature is a nice option but it’s not intuitive to navigate and there are no instructions. A tutorial would be a helpful addition.
You probably just cheated yourself out of a four or five star rating by asking me to rate your app when I didn’t even get started on it yet. I just do that so there’s your review you have a star rating for me because you didn’t let me use the app first.
There isn’t anything ground breaking here that you couldn’t do by draping colors over yourself and taking a picture.. Update to the developer: *I* didn’t find the value in any of the features. So for *me* it’s a 1 star app.
Doesn’t connect to picture gallery. Even though settings updated. Even the grammar/spelling is incorrect. Instead of ‘grant access’ it says ‘grand access to your photos’. A complete waste of time.
