This app works great for me. I can always check my accounts from anywhere. I can pay my Zelle accounts as well as pay my bills from the app. It’s slow at times is why I can’t give it 5 stars and I do realize it could be my service or CFCU network but overall it’s good. I have been using it since its inception.
I’ve been a member of CFCU since 1990 and have complete trust in the institution. Congressional has been there for me during the many hard and difficult times in my life. It’s educational seminars taught me how to budget, invest, manage, save, plan, and prepare for financial success according to my personal income. It taught me how to manage, use, and build good credit; how to read, understand, and correct errors on my credit report; and especially, how to improve my credit score. Over the years, it has also assisted me in financing my automobiles and purchasing my home. The customer service representatives are always professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. The APP is so crucial and valuable in every aspect of my life. I must admit that it took me a while to download it; and now, I’m so glad I finally felt comfortable enough in doing so all these years later. It is safe, reliable, convenient, and easy friendly…even for me at 72 years old!
The purpose of an app is to be user friendly and easily accessible for the end user. However, every time I switch from one account to another I’m either locked out or I have to input my account information in multiple times. Secondly I am not able to view the real time account in my account unless I select the link which is always different from what is displayed. Why create an additional step to see the real time dollar amount in my account. It’s very frustrating when it doesn’t have to be. I do like that they are trying to keep up with technology, but I ask of the developer… to remember to keep the end user in mind. The goal is to keep the customer and not force us to look at alternatives because you as the developer did not ask the customer what we wanted. Try a focus group next time. Ask us what works for our busy lives…and that is to access our funds, transfer funds and pay bills in a secure banking site.
I miss the old app. I don’t understand why they would switch, unless they’re going through some new third party developer to save money? It’s a victory just to be able to sign in, and every time I press anything in the menu it’s a roll of the dice whether or not I’ll be logged back out. Then at some point I always receive an error message that I can’t log in, before being able to complete a task. Can’t set up Touch ID because of this, which makes logging in even more of a chore. I’ve been trying for the past few days to deposit a check, and I’ve just accepted I’ll have to find time to drive into DC during their office hours to deposit it in person. It’ll probably amount to the same time I spend dealing with this app anyway, so whatever.
I spent two hours today trying to conduct a mobile deposit to my checking account. Called CFCU and the phone rep said nothing is wrong with the app. Normally, I don’t make mobile check deposits. I’ve tried twice in the last month and the app malfunctioned both times. The first time, I could get it to work but this last time, it’s taken hours and still won’t work, even deleting the app and trying again doesn’t help.
I always have issues logging in. I used to be able to easily login to any of my different accounts and all of my account numbers were automatically saved. Now I have to input my account numbers every time and if you miss anything it gives you an alert that you’ve been locked out of your account and you need to contact the bank. I tried all the settings in the app to “easily” access my other accounts and it just logs me out and doesn’t allow me to log back in. They need to fix this fast!!
This app is definitely an upgrade from the old app. This one aligns with Online banking, and now you can transfer to all accounts linked to whatever account you log in with. They also added Zelle, which is awesome. It does run a little slow, but I’m sure that will be improved as they upgrade the app!
Ever since the “upgrade” FaceID has stopped working for me. In a new development today, I cannot even get past FaceID to manually add in my password. Back when I was able to log in, it took ages to click between different sections of the app. And it’s annoying that inhave to click into each account to see my actual available balance vs the balance before the days transactions. I wish we could go back to the old version of this app. While clunky, at least it worked!
I wrote a review a couple of months ago that was less than stellar. Since then the developers have updated the app, and it is greatly improved. Thanks for taking the feedback seriously and for making everything work more quickly and smoothly.
The app is awful, slow, and nearly unusable. This upgrade is somehow worse than the original app which didn’t set the bar high to begin with. Switching between accounts is clunky and slow - to the point where you’re not even sure if it’s processing. Nothing about the app is user friendly or intuitive and I say this as a millennial who designs websites for a living and who has had an account with this bank since infancy. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
After resolving an early glitch with my language settings on my phone, everything seems to be fine now. Appreciate the response I got from the developer.
I have five accounts and within minutes I can check status, transfer money, just everything I do on my computer. Great when I am traveling like this moment!
This is by far the worst banking account I’ve ever used. I have had to switch my password 3 times and need to again because it keeps saying password failed. It won’t save my credentials either. The last app that was sunset was much better than this one, even with less features. I’ve had an account with CFCU for almost 25 years. Multiple loans. CC. And normal banking. I’m about to pull it all out. This is ridiculous.
The old app was reliable and functional. This app is not working. It has only allowed me to long in twice (out of the seven or eight times that I have attempted to get into it). When it asked me to verify my identity via texted passcode, there was some *other random number* in the app!! When I asked it to text to my cell phone, and error message came up asking me to call customer service. This app is a useless time waster.
This is one of the most user friendly apps I have ever used with a Bank or Credit Union. It has saved me a lot of time from waiting on the phone to handle my banking with Telephone Teller.
I had no problems using the original app. I was excited that the update had a new and improved and fresh look. However, I’ve had more trouble trying to log into the app or trying to access my banking information. It’s faster just to go online. I thought the app was supposed to make access quicker. That’s not the case with this app. You can do better.
Anything have to do with money is scary. Insuring that you have a way to keep updates on the status of your finances it’s important. This app helps me do just that!
This app logs me out every time I try to make a transfer. It logs me out every other click. It logs me out for “inactivity” when I’ve been logged in for less than 15 seconds. It’s maddening and absolutely useless to me. I’ve taken to using the website instead, which is also not user friendly. The old app WORKED which is more than I can say for this app.
I have never encountered any difficulties in using this app. It is well-designed and straightforward. It reflects the supportive and client-centered operations of the CFCU as a whole.
This app needs to be supported on the iPad! Bill Pay does not work through the website with third party cookies blocked on iPad and I can’t install this app on my iPad so I have no way to pay bills online using that device.
It’s the weekend my card isn’t working and neither is the app. I called for assistance member services is closed until Monday. So I’m not able to check my account until their business hours are open. I’m changing credit unions asap. This happens too often!
If you like waiting 30 min for the bank to answer the phone, use CFCU. Or if you like getting hung up on after someone finally answers just for no returned call. Additionally, the app is so difficult to use, it locks you out or freezes up on you.
Congressional Federal Credit Union forced me to use this app because they stopped supporting the old one. From the start, I had issues… 1. Couldn’t deposit a mobile check. 2. Tried to setup Face ID but the app requested my member ID which I don’t have, and never had to do in the old app. 3. The app crashed multiple times and asked me to call CFCU. So I restarted the app and tried again but still had similar issues… Please bring back the old app. It had less glitches and allowed me to do banking on my mobile device. Thank you.
What was the problem this new app was meant to solve?
Whatever the answer, it failed miserably. Were CFU members consulted about this change? Any user input? Focus groups? Not available on iPads? This “upgrade” does not reflect the excellent customer service CFU has provided since I joined in 1984. Extremely disappointed.
This app is very glitchy. I get error messages every time I login whether or not it goes through. I’ve removed and reinstalled the app, same issue. I have no problem logging into my account online.
The apps is ok but it doesn’t handle 2 accounts on the touch feature. I need to put all the information every time I want to switch accounts. The older app was lot better
