I what a DLC. The new story.
what’s upon a time a strange force happen in the mansion a entity came out the passage and change the world into a puzzle. It he’s evil self and make obstacle he face. The transform tree touching it would turn you into a monster that help you walk in lights or turn the lights into objects. this form is very dangerous and make sure you not in the light well intact in with the tree or in light in this form. it can make a great puzzle. New fish creaks can block light in water and make foes powerful. upside down entities walking in your neighborhood ceiling and discover the world and take back that blue light your evil self have steel. ant Eater trunks don’t spill water, but teleport you to another way. there are two lemur trunks in a block that go different directions they follow and swap enemies. and the sun turns into a creak sun which is the dark sun. Creaks that walk in walls and walls can make you walk in the walls. and more creaks like cat creaks that chased the dogs creaks and chase monsters and activate wheels to open an entrance but in the end of the DLC it a dream. The cats unlike sheep or dogs they stay in place to attack unless scared enough. The cats represents cat dolls or figurines. The cats are the only creaks that can attack most monsters. They’re distracted to human creaks.

Best of Arcade so far
I’ve loved Amanita for so long, and joined Arcade when I saw they had a new game. This one is so much fun and so thoughtful. It’s a great game for a new player, because they don’t try to trick you or hide anything. There are no alternate choices, you move straight through the game as you progress so you don’t have to wonder if you’ve missed anything. And there are no stupid ways to die, you don’t constantly fall off a cliff say, because you keep getting too close on accident. The game just keeps you from wasting time so you can devote all your thought to solving puzzles. And the puzzles are fabulous. They are so incredibly clever, I don’t know how people come up with this stuff. Every time you’re thinking “there’s no way!” But then you think of something you haven’t tried yet, and make progress. It’s a very consistent game - if you like it in the beginning, you’ll like it in the end, and it doesn’t necessarily get harder and harder as you go. Just more clever. It’s a very special game. The sound design and music are incredible. And best of all, like all of Amanita’s games, it’s a narrative on some level so it’s that much more emotional to actually finish it. I hope these developers are richly rewarded for their efforts and can publish again soon! Not soon enough!

Loved everything about it!
It’s not creepy. Really it’s not. I have gotten so tired of games that have a lot of filler fluff in the form of just making things spend a lot of time that are not interesting in order to make the gameplay longer. I also have been looking for some thing that’s at least a little mentally challenging instead of just having villains that you have to kill by clicking a button really fast or something. This contains puzzles that are reasonably challenging to complete without getting super frustrating. I think there was one I sort of cheated on by looking it up. But overall, I very much enjoyed the gameplay and the story and having something to take my mind off of life for a little while every time I sit down to play it. Because it’s divided up into scenes, it’s very easy to play it for a certain amount of time and have some sense of satisfaction without having to feel addicted or obsessed, which is something a lot of other games also rely on. Obviously games on this level are rare because it takes a whole lot of work ,I’m sure, to make some thing this complete that doesn’t depend on addiction or gimmicks.

Fun and challenging. Would hardly change a thing about this game
This dark and haunting puzzle journey is reminiscent of a mazelike and dystopian Alice in Wonderland. You follow a clueless but intrepid Victorian era scribe in slacks, down a figurative rabbit hole through various labyrinthine ladder linked chambers. You intermittently spy on several well heeled avian characters in their quest to repel a giant invader that continuously tears at the crumbling dungeon that you all now inhabit. There are some animated paintings at regular intervals that serve as short interludes between the progressively challenging puzzles you must complete. You use your wits to avoid getting bitten by aggressive dogs, jellyfish and scarecrow like creatures that instantly transform into harmless furniture as you solve the puzzle. There is enough guidance by way of button hints to help with getting started. Though I did get stuck at times, it wasn’t many, thanks to the help of YouTubers. Since you cannot advance if you’re stuck, the option should be given to skip a puzzle or receive hints, unless the developers intended players to search online for a walkthrough. Fantastic game and the playing environment and acoustics were excellent.

Favorite game on Arcade
This is far and away my favorite game in Apple Arcade. The art reminds me of Machinarium, the controls are easy and intuitive to understand and the puzzles are challenging without being impossible. While the game page recommends using a controller, playing on an iPad was fine. Importantly, the game indicates when you can interact with things and when you can’t, so you aren’t stuck endlessly touching the screen in hopes something will happen. Most of the puzzles are simple logic in which your movement and actions influence the behavior of the other creatures on the screen. Once you figure out how your movements impact them, it is usually just a question of figuring out the right sequence of steps to make your way through to the next set of ladders. There are also a series of puzzles within the game hidden as paintings - some of these were interactive, others ween’t. As a whole, not as much fun as the rest of the game, but I appreciate adding in a bit of diversity into the game play. Lastly, the game lasted me a LONG time. While you are definitely left wanting more, you don’t feel cheated by the amount of puzzles.

I’m not one to review games...
... but I feel that this game is worth my words. Normally, I just give a game my star rating and that’s it. But this little collection of puzzles has impressed me. Judging by the level select menu, I’m about halfway finished with the game. And, in that time, I have come across several puzzles (chief among them, the four hounds in the clock room) which gave me a very rewarding feeling when I finally solved them. Plus, even though there is no dialogue, I feel that the short scenes between puzzles where the character is eavesdropping on or interacting with the various supporting cast are endearing. The art style is true to the videos and screenshots, and I think is very fitting for the dream-like atmosphere. The sound design is unobtrusive, which I appreciate. Also, there are these subtle musical cues as you progress closer to the solution for a puzzle, which I like. Amanita Design have been really doing great things in the adventure/puzzle genre, and I’m glad they got the green light to publish this game on Apple Arcade. I hope, their creative team stays inspired, and their financial team stays well-supplied.

Captivating
This game really pulls me into its world with it’s fantastic sound design and detailed artwork. The best types of games are the ones that you start playing, lose track of time, and find yourself wondering how 2 hours went by when it seemed like 5 minutes. Creaks is definitely one of those games, and despite its relatively simple gameplay, it does a good job of adding onto concepts that the player is familiar with, and increasing the complexity of its puzzles along the way so that the player isn’t disengaged. There is a very interesting world to explore here, and I love the concept of using “furniture monsters” as enemies, so that the player can also use them as platforms to reach previously inaccessible areas when they are “docile”. A lot of wordless world-building goes on too, when the player encounters set-pieces of bigger monsters on the outside of the mysterious house the game takes place in, affecting the landscape around them. It provides a good reason for the player to keep exploring the house, wondering what will await them around the next corner. Another fantastic addition to Apple Arcade!

Beautiful clever game
One of the best games I’ve ever played. Every aspect of the design was nearly flawless. The puzzles ramp up in difficulty and complexity, thoroughly exploring each new piece to the puzzle. The artwork was beautiful and eerie and informed gameplay. The music was peaceful and matched gameplay cleverly. After every puzzle, you really feel as though you’ve solved an impossible challenge. The storyline was engaging and suited the puzzles well. Especially near the beginning, the storyline worked mostly independent of the player. This added depth to the world without jamming a plot where it doesn’t belong. By the time the player is influencing the story, you’re going to be very invested in it. I only have one slight criticism: one of the (optional) interactive paintings requires you to dance along. It’s cute and not complicated. But because the “move” button is so dang low on the screen, I couldn’t swipe down when I needed to. It was kinda frustrating.

I say yes
This game is challenging and has puzzles that require logic and thinking. Don’t say, “I can’t beat this stage” because you might come up with something to do that you haven’t thought of before. Just get inspiration from other reviews. Some people who left the reviews have done all the stages and know what to do, so they would sometimes leave it in their review. It dosen’t get harder and harder. It just requires logic and puzzle solving skills. If you want an adventure game with sketched graphics and puts your logic and puzzle solving skills to the test, this is for you. Unless you are a coward because this game is kind of creepy. Living furniture? Monsters? Creaks? Scary music? Just one is okay, but all of them is not for the faint hearted. As long as you know ghosts don’t exist and your furniture will not come to life, you are fine to play this. Just don’t play this too much, you will believe everything there is in this game exists in real life if you do. But this is a fantasy game. Nothing in this game can happen in real life. Well, most of it. Play now!

Best game on Apple Arcade, period.
I was deeply impressed by this game, it starts out as a simple side scrolling puzzle adventure game and steadily increases in complexity as you go, from stupidly easy to challenging but not “screw it’s I’m just going to google the solution” hard. There are plenty of “ah ha” moments and discovery as you delve deeper into the game. One of the most impressive things is the giant city you see in the game art, that’s actually the entire game. Each level is more or less a single screen but altogether forms a giant interconnected map. It’s astounding how much planning and detail must’ve gone into creating the game’s level mapping. Touch controls work perfectly, you move, jump and hit switches, everything else comes from observing and learning enemy behaviors to manipulate them into opening the path forward. This is a very clever game and a prime example what we need more of in Apple Arcade. Highly recommended and well worth your time.

Glitch?
I was having fun playing this until I got to scene 9.The dog on the bottom floor absolutely will NOT stay on the pressure plate! I have tried going back down the ladder after closing the draw bridge that blocks the light, (which is the ONLY way to turn him back from being a dresser and be able to get to the ladder!). He chases me TO it, but then LOOKS DOWN, SEES IT, and STOPS! If you stay on the ladder until he calms down, he goes back to his spot where he was sleeping crossing the pressure plate only for a second! You have NO time to climb the ladder to get to the dog on the top floor and get by him while HE’S still a dresser! If you try to climb BACK down to the first one he attacks you and you have to start the scene all over again! Yes, I have tried sliding him into different places in the light including as far as he can go and you can’t slide him ONTO the pressure plate because the light doesn’t reach that far! I have replayed this scene SO many times that I’ve stopped counting! I have even reset the scene; NOTHING works! I don’t mind a challenge; in fact that is what I LOOK for in a game like this; but this is ridiculous!

Frustrated
I like the game as far as I have gone which is not far at all. I have come down a long ladder and I know what I am supposed to do to get past the mean dog, but when I get a little close to the dog to make him mad and then try to run to the left and jump down to the lower level, I really believe the game developers made it so that the controls do not respond as fast so the little guy can run fast and jump down to get out of the way. I know when I just use the controls to go left, they seem to work faster, but when I am trying to escape the dog chasing after me, the controls do not work as fast. These old hands of mine are not able to do the job.I have been able to jump down about two times successfully, but then when I am trying to climb back up and then go to the right, again the controls do not respond very fast. Is there some other way to get past the dog that I am not realizing? I know there is a lot of game left to play but I have tried for about two weeks now, and still cannot get past this area.

Great game ! 👍🏼Just finished beating the entire game and man let me tell you that this game will require focus & excellent thinking skills to completely beat🤦🏻‍♂️. Some of the best puzzles that I’ve seen in a game in a long time. The game becomes very challenging as it goes on, and it never gets boring. This is a game that you definitely want to see through from start to finish so that you can uncover the mystery in this beautiful intriguing world. Visually the game looks great and is backed up by a unique stellar sound score that will leave you wondering and wanting more. All the interesting characters that you’ll come across throughout the game will all give you their own set of difficulty and challenges. This is The Best Apple Arcade Game that you won’t want to miss ! Friendly Reminder:Don’t Forget to listen for the in game sound cues as you progress ! Good Luck.🤙

Very good, if slightly too easy, puzzle game
Great art style, great music, great if intentionally vague and ambiguous world building, great sound design, a few fun minigames in the form of "interactive paintings", overall a very fun game and a great way to spend some time on a lazy afternoon or a long wait at a bus stop. My only complaint is that the puzzles don't ramp up in difficulty that much throughout the game. Plenty of new mechanics are introduced to keep things fresh, but the difficulty curve remains pretty flat with only a few exceptions. The last puzzle in the game in particular had me going "Wait, that's it?" as it really didn't feel like some final test where I had to put everything I'd learned up to now into use. It felt like any other puzzle, and could've been slotted in anywhere else in the story. But, this game is great for what it is, and provided me many hours of enjoyable gameplay and charming visuals that makes it impossible not to recommend. Definitely give it a try.

I love this game
I’m new to Apple Arcade and I saw this as a game recommended for me since I enjoy puzzle games. The graphics are dark and creepy and I love that the levels get increasingly more difficult as you go along. There’s a little more direction on how to play compared to some other games by this developer. Very fun! I played through it once. Found it on PlayStation and played it all the way through there too. Then I came back to my phone and noticed I hadn’t gotten all my achievements so I went back and played through the game a third time to find all the hidden rooms and paintings that I had missed the first time around. I have tried multiple other games that are similar to this and Creaks is by far my favorite of them all. I would love a longer game or a part two.

Absolutely Amazing
I really loved the animation style and gameplay and found the story line quite nice. The puzzles were quite complex and really forced me to think before acting. Perhaps my favorite part was the background music and how it matched with the gameplay and especially the little twinkles that play every time I finished a task properly felt really rewarding, which was a welcome surprise in the world of gaming. My brother played it on our AppleTV as well and really enjoyed it, although he experienced quite a few crashes while playing, though nothing that messed up his gameplay as autosaving was frequent enough that he never lost any progress. On the PC side of things though, the game was flawless and I will be recommending it to any of my friends with Apple Arcade.

Great game, good length, all around fun
I’m the kind of person who has way too much free time on their hands, and I can never find something to play that lasts more than a few hours. This one took me 2 days, which I’m really happy about. I love the achievements you can get, and I always get mad at myself when I miss one. The game had a really sweet ending. It’s one of those “it’s not what you think” type games, which I love. And for someone who has really bad in game reflexes, I was actually able to do quick timed things which is really nice. I avoided this game for a long time because I thought it was a scary game, but I was totally wrong. Wish I had played this sooner! Sad it’s over though. Great job developers! ❤️

Fun, surprising, and delightful
I love this app developer from such other works as Machenarium. The design in EVERY aspect is so thoughtful, top to bottom. The way the sound design interacts with the story is so genius, it gives you such an immersive feeling while playing the game - I highly recommend listening with headphones while playing. It also took me several sessions to finish, so the content was long enough to keep my attention while not being overly repetitive. Each puzzle is unique and scaffolds the things you learn prior to each one so wonderfully. It’s a great story and very beautiful to wander around this incredible world in the deep underground layers of the world. 10/10 would play again.

Best game on Apple Arcade. Best puzzle from Amanita.
It’s long. Probably the longest game Amanita Design ever made. And it’s gorgeous. At the end, you will think it’s not long enough. The art, the music, the gameplay, the story... It all comes together as a masterpiece one can enjoy for a while. If you haven’t played their other games, be aware that some of puzzles are not that easy and can be really hard and challenging. Luckily this one doesn’t need audio puzzles to be solved in order to succeed. Well, unless you want to take home all achievements. But there will be plenty of moments you will be eager to google for a walkthrough. Just don’t. They all are solvable, just take your time. Listen to the music. Take a rest, return another day. Savor the moment.

Clever Puzzles, Fantastic Story
The storytelling in this game is truly top-notch. Without using any written or spoken dialogue, the designer conveys a broad range of emotion and a robust storyline. I’ve played desktop games that were as emotionally moving, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen a phone game reach this level of quality. The puzzles are consistently excellent. Not too easy, but not obtuse or frustrating. Each has a rational solution that will be obvious in retrospect but requires you to play around with the environment. And a fantastic environment it is, with background details that make you stop regularly just to admire the scenery. A must-play for anyone who likes puzzles or storytelling games.

First time playing an Amanita game
This game was the first game I have ever played from Amanita - and the first of any puzzle game as well. I was very skeptical about whether or not I would enjoy this type of gameplay but was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the game. Not only is the art, music and overall feel of the game beautiful but the puzzles were very fun and challenging to figure out, especially through the last half of the game. I saw a few comments from people saying they thought some were impossible and had glitches or something. To those people - keep working through them because it is usually only a step or two away from completing them and it’s very satisfying when you do finally figure it out & will typically leave you thinking “why didn’t I think of that earlier.” The storyline was also very intriguing and kept me compelled to go further to figure out what was going on. I do sort of wish there was more game, but I suppose it had to end at some point. I will definitely be going back to play previous and future games from Amanita Design. Great job. 333

Just amazing!
I love this game with all my heart. It was adventurous just the right amount of spooky without being downright terrifying, I loved the main guy (who I named Milo) and I instantly fell in love Creaks people. Please please please make a sequel. Or five sequels, or 100 sequels. They could be about the "Milo" going back to that world (preferred), or it could be about a different person finding their way into that world. or maybe the creeks people find their way into our world. All I'm saying is I would love to spend more time in underground in the Creaks world. The only trouble I ever had with the game is it sometimes the sound would cut out. Otherwise it was just perfect and I want more.

The game is completely worth it!!!
I’ve been looking for a good story line game on here for a while and I found Creaks! This game was so worth taking the time to play! It is so extremely creative and the attention to detail is by far the best I’ve seen in iPhone games. The puzzles and the folklore behind it is so fun and cool! Characters would would never even be able to think of come to life in this story. (Even though there are no actual words spoken the noises that’s the characters make and the music bring the story together in a ver beautiful way! I am looking forward to fill in another slot and playing again!!!

I👏🏻LOVE👏🏻THIS👏🏻GAME👏🏻! The adventure, the puzzles, the comedy.... ALL OF IT! I enjoyed the creepy vibe. Not only was there a story within the story with the paintings, but the little side games was very amusing! I especially enjoyed that there wasn’t hints available. I loved that I had to figure it out without help. I could not put this game down at all. Even when I know I needed to, I wanted to keep going. Sometimes you had to though and come back because of the difficulty of the puzzle but that’s the thing. It always had me coming back and wanting more. I was very sad when I knew the ending was near. Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication into perfecting this game.

Perfect game!!
I loved this game! Nice challenging puzzles without being impossible. Beautiful artwork and light storyline that was easy to follow without any text. I only encountered one bug and that was during one of the goat levels, but it didn’t prevent me from completing the puzzle. Whenever the bug showed, I’d just restart the level from my last save point. For those who feel stuck, keep trying—this game can be completed. I missed some paintings and want to go back to find them but don’t want to have to replay everything looking for them. So I’ll wait until someone posts a walkthrough with all the painting locations. Again, great game!

Very nice puzzle solving game
Love Amanita game designs. I played Samorost before Creaks. Both games are beautifully designed and created like pieces of art. I really like the puzzles in Creaks. They are both challenging and entertaining. Especially loved the scene at the end of the Palace. On a side note, though, I need to mention that the achievements earned by completing tasks insides paintings are pretty arduous and boring. Especially the ‘amazing magician’ painting in which we are supposed to make a cow pass the circle is impossibly hard. I wish whoever designed this painting challange get some common sense and receive revelation that tedious tasks are not entertaining!

Absolutely breathtaking and brilliant
I absolutely love puzzle games like this, and this one really challenged me, while at the same time it was totally doable. I feel like there’s a lot of puzzle games that just make it either too easy that it’s over with way too fast, or too hard, where you HAVE to look up an answer in order to figure it out. This one was perfect. Definitely some head scratchers, but I never had to look up how to solve it. On top of that a beautiful story line. I really did enjoy this and I’m sad it’s over. Please come out with another game like this! Or even a part 2!

When I went to download this game it reminded me of Jacksepticeye playing Sally Face, way better ending that doesn’t make you sad. This game took me 3 days all together playing in my free time. I enjoyed this and it is definitely fun and different. Haven’t seen a game like this before but it peak my interest quite a bit and I’ll be looking for similar ones. I’d also like to add when turning on the lights it reminded me of my childhood. Things look different in the dark and become normal when the light is turned back on and I thought that was extremely creative and something everyone can relate to.

Amanita does it again.
Seasoned gamers have played through variations of these button/switch/pressure-plate puzzle games before, but probably none quite like Creaks. Amanita brings excellent dynamic music, subtle humor, fantastic art, and coherent, wordless storytelling to the genre. I was a little unsure when I started the game because I thought it was going to be standard puzzle fair (and I am a bit burnt out on this genre of games) but I quickly became engrossed in the game's world. Every little detail captured my interest and really compelled me to finish. PS: This is my second favorite game by this team... I'm not sure how they could top Botanicula. (Definitely play that one, too!)

I needed something to play on a six hour flight so I opened the App Store. I didn’t expect to find anything good but LO AND BEHOLD here lies the holy grail of puzzle games. I have played other games by this studio so I had high expectations. I’m glad I wasn’t disappointed. I do some writing in my free time, so I really enjoyed how story rich this was, and fantasy, puzzle and mystery are my favorite game genres. It is challenging but rewarding and as you progress you meet new enemies and discover new “mechanics.” Seriously the best puzzle game since “The Room” series and I love the art. I 100% recommend this game to all of you puzzle lovers.

Definitely the best Arcade game, to date
When I started this game, I was rather dubious that I would like it. However, it really sucked me in, to the point that I ended up playing through the entire thing in under two days. I do wish it was longer, but you can’t really complain about that, given the cost of Arcade, and the number of titles you have access to. Even though some puzzles appear frustrating at first, the level of challenge is close to perfect, so that you feel a sense of accomplishment as you progress. It felt good to exercise the brain a little, and I enjoyed the weird art style. Highly recommended.

Beautiful puzzle game
The graphics are beautiful and puzzles are engaging. Many of the bad reviews are from people who are either stuck on a puzzle or dislike puzzle games (both are bad reasons to leave negative reviews, in my opinion). I have also seen comments about lack of contrast making switches hard to see. That it somewhat true, but I will mention that the interactive objects are are subtly brighter than everything else, giving them the contrast they need to be recognized without breaking the theme of the fantastic artwork.

Beautifully frustrating
This game is interesting and has potential, but essentially has you climbing ladders and getting attacked by robot dogs in the beginning. The controls are so clunky and awkward that the difficulty comes from simply not being able to take the actions that you want. Trying to run to a ladder and quickly climb up or down is near impossible and eventually makes you want to throw your phone out of frustration. When a game takes me there it’s time to stop and this game does take me there! The sound is appropriate and the graphics are beautiful, but the game play kills it for me. And…story? What story? A dude gets trapped out of his house in a spooky maze with bizarre creatures and literally doesn’t blink an eye about it? Dumb.

Good difficulty level of puzzles (bug?)
I think this is a really fun game if you just wanna sit down and do a bunch of puzzles, with some light world building peppered in. Trouble is, with no hint system, I’ve hit a puzzle that I can’t work out (3rd puzzle of the tower with the bird head,) so now I guess I’ll just stop playing. Plus, since many new Apple Arcade games have been released with bugs, I can’t tell if its that I can’t figure the level out, or if it truly is impossible. (You lure the robot dog to the pressure button, but then when you sneak behind him on the ladder, he *always* notices you and runs off the button, and you can’t run fast enough to solve the puzzle and escape.)

First time reviewing a game
I just finished creaks as it was my first Apple Arcade game. I have never been much of a gamer but this one was a lot of fun and entertaining! Also I loved the artwork, sound effects and story. It was like being in an Edward Gorey painting. I loved how it’s creepy in a fun way, and the puzzles were challenging enough but still easy to figure out once you saw the patterns. I love the music and how it would change positively once you reached the next point in the puzzle.. like a little extra clue you knew you were doing what you’re supposed to! 10/10 would play again.

Controls are garbage!
I downloaded this game because it looked pretty fun and the design is construction well. So far I am having a good time playing it but the way the controls are set up are not very reliable. It’s very difficult to move around sometimes and when I want the characters to go one way the controls completely stop working and then I have to start my task all over again. It’s pretty frustrating. I also would suggest putting a tutorial at the beginning of the game because when I started I got no instructions. I have been figuring it out along the way.

Will test your puzzle solving skills
I’m not into mobile gaming. I downloaded this to kill time but I’m glad I did. I was skeptical at first but gave it a try and became addicted to it. It really does challenge your brain to maneuver through the obstacles in each level. There was times where I spent over 15 minutes in one room and was on the verge of just looking up a walkthrough of that room. But after trying to solve it and succeeding, it made it that much more rewarding. Great game and the developers who envisioned the puzzles are amazing.

Simple yet magnificent
A lot of Arcade games try to hit on console-level complexity only to deliver a “meh” experience. Creaks doesn’t do that: it takes a simple story with virtually no dialogue and beautifully tells it through a gorgeous art style, just-tough-enough puzzles and a uniquely textured soundtrack. In fact, I think textured pretty well describes the game overall: it’s essentially a 2-D scroller, but every corner of the world is hand-drawn and has a distinct “feel.” Puzzles and enemies never got repetitive, and instead struck a delicate balance of challenging and satisfying that kept me coming back for more. There’s whimsical humor in the tiny details of paintings and cinematics. The world truly feels expansive, with lore and mystery added with every level. Even the characters, none of whom utter a word, each feel distinct and, well, textured. This feels exactly like the kind of game that Apple Arcade promised to deliver when it launched. And boy, did it deliver on Creaks.

Good graphics, fun puzzles. What could be wrong? (READ BEFORE YOU PLAY)
This is the best of arcade and probably my favorite game. Now, I know what your thinking!why did you rate it four stars? Well, there’s nothing wrong with the graphics, they’re unique and good. The storyline? That’s fine, I guess. The atmosphere? I love it. But the gameplay. Know how I said fun puzzles? There’s only a few of those in the beginning. All the rest is extremely hardcore and every single scene I have to go and see how to do it by looking it up. Don’t get me wrong- this game is great. It’s only that little hint that makes it a 4 star.

Masterpiece puzzle adventure
Amanita is known for classic point-and-click adventures, but the decision to make Creaks a puzzle platformer really, really paid off. Each level is a masterclass on great puzzle design, from the introduction of mechanics to the difficulty curve. And on top of that, the eerie artstyle is stunning to behold, balanced well by the more light-hearted story. And the music! Each level's music gets enhanced slightly as you progress through each puzzle. Creaks is really something special. As soon as I finished it on Apple Arcade, I bought it elsewhere for full price. Good art is worth it.

Best Game EVER!
Okay so I’m 59 years of age & have been playing games since they were invented. This is by far the BEST I’ve EVER played. It’s adventurous, challenging, amusing, intriguing, colourful, exciting & the sound-effects & general background music are pleasing & appropriate. Sometimes I get royally stuck & have to put the game down for a while - & a few times I’ve had to use a walkthrough as I’m impatient. It’s a long game, which is brilliant as you really get into the storyline. I don’t usually write reviews on games but this one is SO worth recommending! I shall be sad when it’s finished 😩

Delightful
Easily my favorite game made by Amanita Design, and their previous games were not easy to beat! It’s their most ambitious game yet, with an amazing amount of content that feels like it will never end. Just when I’m starting to figure things out, a new mechanic is introduced that upends everything. The puzzles have a few tedious moments, but overall nothing is too easy or too hard. The art and story are magnificent, with a spooky atmosphere, plenty of hidden details, and no need for words. Can’t wait to see what they’re developing next!

I’m getting bored
Huge fan of these devs. I bought into Apple Arcade just to play the previous release which did not disappoint and then ended my subscription. Today, I saw this game and immediately signed up again. Unfortunately, it’s not like the others. I’m iabout 30 minutes into the game and it’s becoming a little tiresome doing the same tasks over and over. And the controls are not perfect, it’s hard to stay consistent controlling direction and action. Additionally, although gorgeous, the desaturated environment makes it hard to see light switches, floor holes, and even the dogs. Playing on iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s not terrible, just getting a bit repetitive.

Wow!
I didn’t finish all of the achievements in this game for I am a mother. I did however learn that there were moments in the game you had to be patient, maybe come back and try again. That is a lot like reality. You get stuck, it makes you upset. You wanna give up. When you keep going you will always find your way out. Of course you gotta go through it. I beat the game and I definitely would give more stars if I could. This was beautifully put together.

Never thought a puzzle game would make me cry but here we are
I mean where do I start, the graphics are beautiful, the music fits perfectly, the puzzles are fun and challenging, and oh my god the story that is told purely through scenery is amazing. The world building is just flat out stunning. Not to mention the mechanics of the game and how light turns creatures into furniture just reminds me of my childhood in the weirdest way. All in all, if you’re into puzzle games and want a nice story to go along with it this game is perfect.

Fantastic Game
This game is beautifully animated with relaxing, mystical music and soothing ambient sounds (my favorite being the guitar acoustic sounds while climbing ladders). The puzzles themselves are accomplishable but challenging and the story line itself is intriguing. I couldn’t put this game down. I also love the little hidden games in the paintings you find throughout this underground world. I have recommended this game to all of my friends and I can’t wait to explore the other games by this developer!

tricky yet emotional, creepy yet funny
Already becoming one of my favorite 2D puzzle platformers. It's puzzles can be head-scratchers and sometimes knee-slappers too. It's art and music live up to other Amanita's good reputation. The first Amanita game I've played built from the ground up for game controller, (what some would call a proper game) and its just lovely. It's hard to make a game intellectually challenging yet emotionally satisifying. It's just as hard to make a game dark and creepy yet simultaneously witty and delightful. Doing both without using language... unbeleivable!

I’ve been playing for 30 minutes and I’m hooked
This game has a unique design that enhances the experience by 10 fold. I love the puzzles. I expected nothing less considering the Apple Arcade has been putting out some amazing content👍. Oceanhorn 2, BASS2 etc. Edit: great for high end Apple devices, I’m on iPhone 11 and I think the game is great. Ps, add a guide book that has ideas for different puzzle situations so you you can use new strategies for new puzzles. Keep up the great work, I’m excited to see where this game goes

I really wanted to like this game.
I don’t usually write reviews but this game was such a let down. It seemed to have all the right ingredients. A new puzzle based game with great graphics. Unfortunately after 45 minutes of just climbing up and down ladders running from robot dogs I had to stop. The game is not fun and is actually frustrating. I really don’t know where this game is going but had to stop. The graphics and sound are great. But my advice to the game developers is pick up the pace and have something halfway decent happen early on to prevent boredom of climbing up and down ladders and switching on lights. Or at least some sort of story line that hooks you and makes you want to figure out what’s going on like the storyline in Neversong.

Just the right amount of challenging
Couldn’t recommend this game more. Challenging enough to be rewarding but not frustrating. Also not too easy. Few puzzle games find the middling balance between the two as well as this one does. Only looked at tutorials for 3 of the scenes and 1 of them was just not realizing the in game control switch was movement based instead of on/off. Loved it. Wish the devs had more puzzle games but such is life.
