So I’ve been a customer of CUTX for some time now and was bothered by the Zelle issue and being unable to electronically deposit any checks. It is apparently not a glitch, you have to call the bank and have them enable both features for you. I am not sure why you need to ask for them to enable it but it’s very simple. Just call and they’ll do it for you.
This is probably the worse bank I’ve ever been with. I decided to try them because I was told they offered really good benefits and I lived really close to one of the locations. 1. I have to constantly keep track of my finances because the pending transaction will fall off and the post a few days later. Happens every time I shop at QT. Their overdraft fees are ridiculous. $35 per transaction overdraft. Still possibly able to overdraft the account even when signing the waiver to not be part of that program. 2. The ATM almost NEVER works. I’m forced to use a BOA one because there’s no other allpoint one close to me except the CUTX one and it never works. NEVER. Then I have to pay additional fees from CUTX PLUS the other atm because the CUTX atm is always down. Fair right? 3. The app is constantly down. Constantly. I have to go to the ATM to do a balance check because the app is always down and when the app is down, the website portal is too. Just frustrating. I hate this bank. Never again.
This app is simple and great. Very user friendly, but I am intending to use my Zelle and it keeps redirecting to the CUTX bank saying it’s offered but it doesn’t show up for me and never has…..
Why am I having to update to iOS 16 just to keep using the banking app? This is frustrating. Aside from that, the app has been handy to check what’s available in my account and so on. Fix the change so it doesn’t have to be a solid requirement to upgrade the iOS or having to buy a whole new phone to start again with (given I have an iPhone 7+ at the moment :’) )!
I have tried over and over to get online to my account. I have contacted your people more than once about four times. I think I have been down to the physical office and I still cannot get into the online account on my PC on my phone I was told to, delete the app and reinstall it so I did. It will not load. This is the worst thing I have ever seen from a bank or a credit union of any kind. Oh by the way I open this account in 1966 and I will be leaving Credit Union of Texas.
I just did the update but not sure if i did it correctly. please check for me. At my age and health issues I couldn’t continue to bank with out the great people at CUTX. Most appreciated
I hate this new feature. When I hear my transactions I wish it gave me the check number. I write several checks for the same amount so can never tell which one cleared. In addition Bethany can not understand half of what you are asking for
1.) It will not allow me to rename my accounts. Having multiple accounts, this is necessary in order for your customer to not be confused. 2.) It does not update correctly. If a charge is pending, I never see it. This is vital. 2a.) I now understand why they ask if you want overdraft protection. You never know if you have any charges on your account in real time.
So your a member of the credit union CUTX you’ve never done them wrong you’ve had loans that have been paid off, etc. However, they don’t want to refinance a car that you have or give you a personal loan.
I cant use the app because I cant get the newest update
I literally just brought a card with yall and when i go to app is asking me to download the newest update but when it take me to the apple store i see no update with the app and when i go to my software updates my phone is up to date .
I much preferred the way the system was working before. The new app format is not convenient. It is difficult to distinguish between my accounts without knowing all the numbers because now I can’t name my accounts what I want them to be called. This is very frustrating. I also cannot see all of my accounts from the dashboard anymore now I have to click to other pages to see all of my accounts. Also very frustrating. I much prefer the way it was on the old app all of my accounts listed on the opening page and each one that had a payment and due date showed me that on the opening page this one shows me nothing except your generic name and the amount in the account.
Even from the start, the app was just really not well put together and was very laggy. Creating an account was very difficult and stressful, especially when the app first came out. The first few updates fixed the initial issues, but now I can’t use Zelle because y’all can’t make fixing it a priority? Its very inconvenient. I can’t use the Zelle app either, since it tells me to use the CUTX app. Either tell Zelle to put us back on or fix it on your end! Y’all are making this more complicated than it needed to be. I couldn’t even change my address in the app, I had multiple people tell me I can, THEN tell me that I have to submit a request in writing via email. Each attempt to change my address was met by a new message thread with a new counselor and it was just a mess. I just feel like y’all really don’t know what y’all are trying to do with this app. If it was meant to be sleek and convenient, it’s actually very cluttered and needlessly difficult. I have never had this much difficulty with the old app.
I’m excited about banking with CUTX on future projects like auto loan, mortgage, etc. However, there’s nothing impressive about the app. The first time I try to use it, I can’t figure out how to make a mobile deposit. Unless it’s not offered, which would be pretty disappointing since every bank I’ve use has the capability. Overall the app is very basic and needs a complete overhaul. Other than that, I’m excited to see what the Credit Union has in store for the community and it’s members!
CUTX has just released their new platform and so far it looks much more appealing too the eye and setting up my login was easier than it was before! I’ve also noticed, at least on the iOS version, the performance is very smooth and I have not run into any functional problems. Great job CUTX!
I’m new to using this app for banking, I’ve always preferred online banking using a computer or web browser. The app was working fine, I guess...now after entering my passcode it goes blank (nothing happens) and I’m not directed to see my account information. Also, it would be great if the pending transactions were already deducted from the available balance similar to having both current and available balances visible in the app once opening.
What a great online app happy to have made the choice! Happy to see what our future brings! Thanks to all of the staff who has helped me along the way. I have banked all over and currently have 3 other accounts, none of them compare! Thanks again.
I HATE IT. Each person must be re-entered. I don’t have access to previous activity or summary of funds sent to each individual. Today, ZELLE is not even on my list of options in my CU App!! How do I pay for service just completed?? HATE, HATE IT!!
Maybe I have too high of an expectation for the digital age, however I would think that the 2nd largest credit union in Texas would have features on the app that make it easier to pay with external accounts. Your in person reps are great, but your app is garbage. Constantly crashing and constraining the ability to utilize external accounts with ease should have to be complicated. I would 5 star you but the app is really frustrating.
I have been trying for days to send money to my son. Use to use Zelle but now it tells me I can send money using my bank app. Go to the app and can’t find any option to send to anyone. Searched Zelle bank directory for banks in their system and my is listed. After three days I decided to go to the App Store to see what I find and here I find so many people complaining about the same problem. Why weren’t we notified? Have to go through all this stress for nothing.
I don’t find the new app as easy to negotiate through the options as the previous version. This is especially true of the bill paying function. There are too many clicks required to change the payee information or to schedule a new payment series. Really don’t like this app…

In the old system when using online bill pay for payees that received payments by check, you used to be able to see online an image front/back of the check that was sent. This is no longer available.
This system is so perfect for me I think all banking and credit unions should have something similar I don’t want to wait on phone or have the time and for me This is a great sorta contactless system and it is easy love
For some reason the Zelle functionality does not work in this app. It’s impossible to link Zelle to your CUTX account because the Zelle app send you to the CUTX app. Until this big hole is filled I cannot recommend this app.
It’s much faster, hands on and you can see everything after crying and much praying the Lord showd me, this was the better way and easier way, calm down and breathe 😢Now CUTX Mobile is the way to go!!! Thank you! Praise the Lord!! 🙏🏽❤️
I’m a little Bummed 😕 that I can NO longer leave a note on why I transferred the funds! That was a great way of remembering what is what! Other than that I never used Zelle before having a bit of trouble with that. I must say the background pics are lovely and I do like the new features.
Cool app and whatnot but I can’t use Zelle since basically last year, I have been waiting but if I want to send money to my roommate who has a different bank I have to use cashapp which takes a small amount away from the original or wait 2-3 days. I hope zelle comes back because CUTX locations are few and far between where I live.
I’m so tired of “improvements” that say “how can we maximize our ability to bulk money out of Of members rather than make their lives convenient?” Why make my savings account and my ability to make transfers to ONLY thing I see when I open my account rather than TRANSACTIONS (which apparently aren’t even an option)? Ease is the priority in banking apps — this one is a miserable Failure.
