With the switch to the new TSP format, the company was put in a bad position. Their upgrade effort was near flawless, and is still a quality product, even with just the free features. I’m giving 4 stars because the upgrade ended up taking away a couple things that were free before (I can’t blame the company, the things were minor and they return if you buy Pro) and there’s no import feature to pull back in the data I pulled out before their update. It’s a small gripe, but a quality of life upgrade I’d love to see in their next update. Lastly, the daily and live updates disappeared, but the staff already commented on this and is planning to bring it back as soon as they can diagnose the new mutual funds options. Overall though, a great third party app that is secure and allows you to track your TSP’s performance over time in ways even the new TSP website can’t compare to.
I’ve been a user of Daily TSP for a few years and purchased the pro version. Their app has always been top-notch and their service/app development team has always been fast to respond to inquiries or suggestions. When the federal government decided to update the TSP website and completely revamp it, they gave the team at Daily TSP no heads-up on what the interface would look like, what info would be available, etc, AND they botched the rollout in epic style. Any issues people might be having with Daily TSP is not their fault. They’re working overtime to keep updating their app and work out any bugs as the botched rollout of the TSP website continues. Feds, relax a little bit. It’s not Daily TSP’s fault the new website and rollout are garbage. Give them time to tailor the new app to what’s available and I promise it will be great once again. I have and will continue to have full faith in the developers. Keep working hard, we truly appreciate it.
Best customer service and app functionality for TSP
I am thoroughly happy with all the functionality of the app, the tools section is extremely helpful for me considering I want to make the right decisions now for my future. The app has so many various data points it’s just enough to be very well informed. If there is anything that is missing or needs an update just email the support team and they will get back to you near instantly. I can validate this to be true- since I had the app for less than a week and inquired about an update and they were thorough in understanding what my suggestions were and they addressed them in less than 48 hours. I strongly encourage anyone considering, thinking, or otherwise interested in this app to just buy this app. It is worth more than you think, especially gaining an appreciation of the various TSP data points and tools to make the best decisions you can for your future. I’d give this app way more than 5 stars if I could.
I just want to say I am a pro user and still would purchase this app but due to the Gov screwing up the real TSP site this app has had its share of glitches (not the app developers fault). I will say it request you fill out an “in app feedback” option if you run into any issues but I do not see this option anywhere in the app so now I am here. Maybe I missed it but didn’t see it anywhere in the menu or my summary options.
Best TSP tool ever - a must-have for account holders
I rarely buy apps, but in this case, not only did I not hesitate paying $1.99 based on the great reviews and recommendations, I gladly forked over $7.99 for the pro version. Given the limitation of the TSP website in terms of functionality and the now non-functioning syncing to banks (due to TSP’s new two-factor authentication), this app fills a critical void. The app is easy to use and understand and has so many great features. I don’t know the developers, but based on the features and functionality of the app, I can tell they really know not only TSP but also how to develop user friendly apps. This app has close to everything I want in a TSP app, it’s like they read my mind when developing it. The developer is incredibly open and responsive to feedback and constantly work on adding features (based on feedback). This app is a must for anyone with a TSP account.
I don’t think I’ve ever written a review for an app, but I feel this one deserves it. Provides user friendly experience not available on TSP website. Nice set of tools, future growth table is great to look at different scenarios. I was surprised how much adding five years to my planned retirement date would add to my balance. Nice charts and interface makes the slightly annoying new two factor authentication easier to use on iPhone. The ability to set a goal and see progress toward the goal is nice. Even factors in loans and loan repayments in the math. Also great support. Had a question about one function and got a reply very quickly. Was able to fix the issue I had, and was happy. Then I received a follow up to be sure everything was resolved. Above and beyond. Highly recommend.
I like this app for a variety of reasons. One you don’t have to log into your tsp account to check your current balance since it links with it and updates on its own. Also, I did the pro for a one time $20 fee and it unlocks a very handy tsp projection so you can see where you will be (or at least in the general area) when you want to retire. I have other tsp apps that do this too but they are a lot harder to use. This app also shows you on the Home Screen where you are on your goals and how many days you’re up or down….although at times when the market is down more than up this can be a bit depressing lol. They don’t give investment advice on this app but it’s a very handy app to have since tsp still has not made their own app.
Now they make promises and don’t keep them. According to daily tsp, they’d have an update ready before the end of the holiday weekend to finally be able to link accounts. It’s Tuesday morning and there’s nothing to be seen. Edit: they ended up releasing the update midday on Tuesday. Not exactly what they said they’d do but good enough for me considering this app is far away better than the OFFICIAL tsp app. A little hiccups here and there but that’s to be expected with a major release. If devs see this, it would be awesome if you incorporated DRIP into earnings growth calculator. You guys clearly care about your product and were put in a predicament when the official tsp app released their trash product that you guys rely on as a third party. Thank you for what you do
I don’t normally rate products but omg this developer is awesome. Best communication on bugs or whatever if may be. TSP changed their site connection and this developer alerted me of the change in the app and that they are working on a fix. The fix was deployed before the weekend was up. Virtually nothing missed. I use the paid version because it is very helpful for updates. The only buyer be aware comment I have is that you cannot share the paid version with App Store family sharing. When I bought the paid version I thought I would be able to share that paid version with my wife who is in an App Store family with me but it doesn’t work. That is literally the only thing I have to say that is anything close to negative.
Having trouble linking my account since last update
I recently had some issues logging in as I was not receiving the text message verification. I thought it was an issue with the app. I wrote a review here and they contacted me as quick as possible. We quickly figured out that it must be something with my cell phone provider and that I can login using the phone call verification rather than a text verification. The customer service through this app is as good as I’ve ever seen. They are very obviously dedicated to making The user experience within this app the best it can possibly be. If you have any issues contact them via email and they will answer right away and stayIn timely contact until your issue is resolved.
I’ve been using Daily TSP for a little over three years now and it is one of my favorite financial apps. It covers all the necessities that a TSP app should and then some. I love the ability to simulate and estimate future growth and balance goals for the long haul. There were a couple of times I had questions and my questions were responded to and answered fully within 12 hours. The people behind Daily TSP seem to care about their product and their users’s experience. When TSP changed their entire website I thought I’d be looking for a new app, but Daily TSP went into full action and met change head on and changed their app to support TSP users quickly and effectively.
I downloaded the TSP app to keep track of my account and compare performance with the other funds available. This app works great, shows all of the information you would need for tracking purposes, and is very easy to use. It can automatically load your TSP information from your account which is useful for saving time with the initial set up. I had an issue where a recent rollover was showing up as a gain and I contacted customer support, who immediately put out a fix for it in their next version. They are highly responsive and obviously value the users of the app. I highly recommend this app!
I can’t say enough how great this app is and how great the customer service is but I will try. App: 1. It is easy to use and allows me to see a detailed status of how my TSP is doing as well as how well my strategy that I follow is doing. 2. It is much easier to see your personal return on investment in this app than it is on the TSP website. You can easily see how many gain days as well as loss days you have had in the year as well as your other stats that show the health of your investments. Customer service: Recently switched phones and had issues restoring my TSP PRO purchase (which is well worth the one time fee if you ask me). I wrote them on a Tuesday night at like 8pm and they responded by 815pm, talk about prompt service. They provided the steps necessary to restore my purchase (at no cost to me might I add) and I was back up and running in no time. Keep up the great work! I recommend this app for anyone who wants to keep track of their TSP and have a better insight as to how their investments are performing.
I downloaded this app today to see if there was an easier way to view my tsp without having to go through the website. This app is it! It can link your tsp (if you want to) and it will show you everything your tsp does and more! If you don’t want to link your tsp account, that’s not a problem, it can still calculate your future earnings by amounts you enter. This is an app that should be on every military members phone! Their customer support is immediate and detailed in their responses and they encourage ideas on how to make the app even better. Download now and start previewing what your retirement will look like! Now that tspdatacenter has been discontinued, I needed another tool to track my tsp moves. I am retired and like to add a new account with my new share distribution to see if I have made good decisions. I do not have the app linked to my account and just put in the share amounts manually but you can do it either way. I am very impressed with the prompt feedback and service from the development team. I made a recommendation and they are already adding that option to the app. Give it a try! One account is free and the pro version for multiple accounts is under $10 and that is for lifetime use. A definite asset and will easily pay for itself.
I tried to sync my current account and it doesn’t work. I love you updated the site and I even signed up for the 10 buck I was that impressed with the job you did. The issue I have is when I try to link my account and I get a button to resolve but doesn’t work. Please fix so I can fully be if it from the app. Thanks. Fix that I’ll give 5stars I have figured out my original issue and I am now fully up and running on this app and it is amazing. I have recommended it to at least a dozen people who have TSP both military and civilian and haven’t heard anything except it’s the worlds greatest TSP app, I agree.
My original complaint about the app was being able to see year to date returns. I did eventually figure out that the numbers I wanted are there. I am not sure if that is something that they fixed or if they were there all along but due to the new format I didn’t find them right away. I do love this app because I can keep track of my investments daily without logging into TSP directly. I usually don’t leave reviews but at the time that I tried to contact the developer directly the app told me my email address was not valid so I came here to leave a review. I just tested the app to see if I could send a message and it did send my “test” email this time. Previous one star review I am not happy with the new version of this app. I like to keep track of the Rate of Return for the year and the new app put the info in graph form. I want hard number listings like before instead of lines on graph that run over each other.
Usually the saying you get what you pay for is a negative towards free or cheap things. However, Daily TSP has made a truly wonderful product and am incredibly impressed that it’s free with only a small charge for Pro features. The recent change to the TSP website has been terrible and causing the Daily TSP folks to jump through significant hurdles. I look forward to their updated product when the changes to the TSP website are finalized. Thank you to the Daily TSP team for working to make this product great through all the change.
Daily TSP app often requests to verify your PRO status (if purchased) to be able to access the capability. I was unable to restore my PRO version on my new phone that I had recently bought because I lost access to my app ID that was associated with the purchase. I emailed the Daily TSP app contact development team about my issue and requested assistance with restoring my PRO version. The Administrator, was incredibly responsive in addressing my issue with the App. In less than an hour, he was able to assist me in restoring my PRO version on my phone. Excellent service!
Very intuitive and easy to use. I especially like being able to see the impact of the market right after closing rather than having to wait until late night for the TSP official website to update. Also, the developers are very responsive if you have an issue or question. I couldn’t figure out how to do something, they quickly responded with an explanation and screenshot. The problem was with me, not the app but they nicely didn’t point that out :). I highly recommend this app for everyone with a TSP account.
Have gone through a number TSP tracking apps and websites over the last several years, and Daily TSP is by far the most versatile and useful. It not only tracks your accounts - with daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual and 2-year returns shown as both both $ and % - but has useful tools for estimating future growth and goals as well. It has an option for linking right to your account, but the manual option does the same thing once you enter the shares at whatever starting date you want and then adjust accordingly as you make allocation changes.
Like most other reviewers, I think this wonderful niche app addresses a significant gap in TSP customer service. It permits customers to track TSP data in a similar mobile-friendly way to many major financial institution apps. And it’s elegant and pleasing to look at too - assuming your TSP balances are pleasing to you! Seriously, check it out. I think you’ll find it very useful. And the developers are extremely responsive, getting back to me within a half hour of writing with a suggestion, which they implemented in a little more than 24 hours. Excellent work.
This app is great for TSP investors. The Pro upgrade is worth the minor price you pay. Historical data is invaluable and gives peace of mind that many questions can be answered merely by looking at the provided data. Support is nothing short of outstanding for subscribed clients and is typically in my experience almost immediate. I highly recommend this app and more so the Pro upgrade for retirees. Just put it on your mobile device or tablet and data will be at your finger tips.

This app provides all I thought I wanted to know and more besides. Fund performance, TSP performance, both current and historic, rates of return, gains/losses, goal setting, projections, and so much more. Support is VERY responsive if you EVER have a question or issue. They care about their product and customers. If you follow your TSP, this is the best $1.99 you will ever spend on an app. It’s worth way more!
This app is quite informative. It has so many pieces of information, some of which you can’t even get from the TSP website such as your PIP for periods of time other than the last year. I had a question for the administrators and their responsiveness was so much better than what you see nowadays. Not only was their reply quick, but they did everything possible to correct the issue. I cannot recommend this app enough.
Great app. Clearly the best for TSP hands down. I would pay double to upgrade to pro just for having the capability to easily sign in via app and having so much information at your fingertips. The devs responded to my question within two minutes on a Saturday.......and I’ll repeat that... on a Saturday with the in app communication feature. Your not gonna find more responsive devs period. And the app has so many useful features I’m still stumbling onto more every time I get a chance to dig into the app. Hats off to the devs!
This app had some rough times that correlated with the contracting changes on TSP website. But since then it’s been working flawlessly. Easiest way to keep track of what’s going on with my account. The data is also helpful. My only suggestion on the chart that explains the funds, please add the names of the top 10 stocks in each fund. I know this can change over time but you can add wording that the information was last verified on month/year.

I just downloaded the app over the weekend and paid for the full upgrade to link to my TSP and get all the features. Great app and lots of useful info for planning. This is a useful tool for anyone that is in the Federal TSP system for following your 401k investments and trying to plan for your future. Along with seeing where you are, it gives great tools for planning on where you will be in the future. Well worth the money for a lifetime license.
Have had the app for a little over a year. Have had no issues and the available TSP data results are great. Had to contact the app makers for an issue when i switched/updated my iphone. They followed up my inquiry within 30 minutes and helped me resolve my issue. Had nothing to do with the app but action I needed to take with the phone (user error)…. App is recommended!!! DW
I’ve been a pro version user for many years. Love the app, easy to set up and update to receive current account standing. Customer support is phenomenal. Though I haven’t had many issues through the years, the developers are on top of the constant changes occurring with the TSP and integrating the Daily TSP app. I have personally submitted an issue to the App Developer and had a response/support wishing 10-20 minutes.
The ease of use with this app makes it well worth the purchase. I check my TSP almost daily. Daily TSP is one of my favorite apps in the App Store. Comparing this to the TSP website this has much more information and allows you to do so much more than the actual TSP website. I’ve been using this app for a few years now and I’ve never had trouble. The customer support is also very easy to deal with and will address your concerns in a very timely manner.
The Daily TSP application is excellent and professionally designed, there's no doubt about that. It provides a wide range of information about TSP, such as the minimum distribution age and amount required, as well as the maximum contribution limit for 2023. It also offers live updates as soon as the Stock Market opens. I really enjoy using it, and it offers even more details.

It’s better than the stock TSP app. The features allow to set goals, set special funds (once it returns from the previous version) set goals, future contributions, future balances. Lastly, it’s secure and the pro edition is worth it. Be patient with the current version as this app has to adjust to changes TSP has made on their website. This app is great!
This APP is well worth the cost. I thought it was expensive at first because it was like paying for several years up front. Well this App is awesome and you get to see how your funds are doing during the day. It helps you to pay attention to your account! Very professionally organized, and continuously updated. Buy it.

Okay, the government really should have created this tool. Every other financial company out there has an app, why isn’t there a TSP app? Well, this app does what the government should have: it’s a pleasure to use and gives you all the info you need to keep track of your TSP savings. They have integrated two-factor authentication into the app so it is much quicker to access than the website. Essential.
Having used the ‘pro’ version of the app on several devices for some time, I can say that the features work flawlessly. When I recently had difficulty restoring the app to a new device, tech support was incredibly responsive and helpful in getting the problem resolved. Can’t recommend strongly enough.

I love this app. I switched to TSP’s new app for a month or so, hoping it would get better, but it just hasn’t. I like how user friendly this app is in showing balances and histories. I think my favorite function of this app is getting the daily notification that the market has closed and being able to view my updated balance.
I kinda hesitate to use this app before and found out it’s totally safe because of MFA multi factor authentication. This app encouraged me to move my funds twice in each month ( tsp allowed two transfer only each month) and I gained some profit because of its real time price. It’s like playing roulette I look at the pattern and move my funds. Thanks
It’s been a bit rough with the TSP page being revamped but I have full confidence they will get it squared away. The Pro version is well worth the $20 one time price tag. The user interface is friendly and they even updated the look of the app which makes me more aesthetically pleasing than the older version.
These folks work around the clock. They resolved my issue on my Pro account within a 12 hour span that only dragged on due to my slow responses. For each email I sent, they were on it with a return message with either follow-up clarifying questions or specific easy to follow instructions within 5 minutes of recent. ON IT!!!! Having opened up the app, right away I was impressed by how fluid and upfront the mechanics were. As a government employee myself I always wondered how the fluctuation of TSPs would affect my own. I stumbled upon this app and was glad I could see it all in front of my eyes. Graphs and ledgers showing the continuous growth and volatility of some of the TSPs helped me understand where I stood in my potential retirement. 10/10 app.

I really only use the app for the simple fact that it makes viewing your TSP balance as well as the health of various funds super simple. And the two factor authentication is certainly appreciated!
