Of all the things in my life, the one thing that I always can count on is my Deere Emplyees Credit Union to be helpful, respectful, and always far above in service and professionalism. Through the 30+ years I’ve been a member, your employees always help quickly and kindly. Whether I’m buying a car, or a home or if I call frantic because of an error I’ve made, your service is quick and considerate. I’m embarrassed that I can’t remember the name of the woman who just helped me through a frantic call as I couldn’t find a deposit and found my account overdrawn. Just as I was being helped, I found the deposit had actually been made and the error was mine. This kind woman helped me in a way that went beyond what I needed and her empathy and kindness brought me to tears. I’m writing this as I wasn’t able to thank her properly because of my emotions but I hope this finds her and she knows how much I truly appreciated her today. I have had Deere for years because my dad is a mechanic for them. This new app is terrible. And the new customer service isn’t good. I have money in my account and my card keeps getting declined and they’re telling me there is no block! It keeps getting declined and each time I call they say there are no issues with my card and no blocks. The new app takes forever for someone to respond and they also took money out of my debit account to my credit card that I did not authorized. After I ALREADY made the payment a few hours before. I don’t know what happened with Deere but I’m looking a new bank.
I have been using the old application for as long as I can remember, and almost never used it outside submitting edeposits for checks. The majority of the information I needed/used had to be accessed through the web browser. The new app seamlessly brings the web browsers features to your fingertips! Exceptionally intuitive and user friendly. I was apprehensive at first, as I fully expected this version to be more of a face lift than a true rework. WOW, I am so glad that I was wrong. I am so happy to have a state of the art banking app that makes sense. Huge props to the team that developed the application!!
I have been a member with your credit union for over 30 years. Through them 30 yrs all of your employees have always treated me as if I was family or that they truly cared about what ever issue was going on with me. Either banking or when I was stressed going through my divorce with money issues. So happy I became a member while my mother worked at the Glass Palace. I will never leave your credit union. I feel safe with me making the choice of moving my IRA’s to the credit union as well. From Fidelity, where I lost 10,000 in a yr. Thanks for all your company does
The app update is a huge leap forward in usability and functionality. I love that I can customize a lot of my views, open accounts from the app and message support during business hours. It’s so much more powerful and quick to use. I’m going to bank more with DECU now because your rates are always the best *and* now you’re as easy to use digitally as some of my other “big banks”.
I do not like your updated app. When I am making a check mobile deposit and am trying to capture the back of the check, nine times out of ten, it won’t take the picture. I keep pressing and nothing happens and “Tap to Capture” never comes up or I get a Capture error. Very frustrating!!! Also when I am looking at the transactions in my checking, there is so much extra stuff in the description field that a lot of the times, I can’t tell who the merchant was for that transaction. It would be helpful to maybe abbreviate the words “Withdrawal and Deposit” to make room for the merchants name. When I bring up my online accounts on the PC, it’s fine, I can read the merchant. It’s just the app for my phone.
This updated app is incredibly unintuitive. The first DECU app was superior in many ways. I found it much cleaner, more organized wherein all my accounts were listed on one long list. No having to swipe left and right. Is it difficult to swipe? Of course not but it’s pretty bad design when you’re adding steps to general productivity. Now I have to navigate options just to see my full list. The menu of options is pretty decent and offers more features but again, it’s a veneer of better organization. The basics are more unproductive. Change is constant and we have to accept it but this is a very poorly done new app. On a side note - why couldn’t you just update the previous app?
Big fan of Deere Employees Credit union, but this app layout is the worst one that has been released. I have given it a chance before writing this review. I thought that maybe I just needed time to adjust. The app is not intuitive and is hard to find key pieces of information such as due dates, and the lack of testing before required release was very disappointing. I have always encouraged anyone eligible to use DCCU, but this release makes it difficult to keep recommending. The other element that is frustrating is that the desktop website has the same layout so the frustrations are identical. Can’t wait for the next platform release ( hopefully that happens sooner than they have previously been done). Paul B.
Old app was better. It automatically recognized the amount and taking pictures was easy. I have an iPhone 12 Pro and you now have to manually enter the amount of check, click through pop ups, turn the phone around and around until app recognizes it is in landscape mode, and then scroll until you find the hidden ‘submit’ button. This is when the app works; which it didn’t for a while. Meanwhile, I lose interest on savings. Only good thing is that adding payees to bill pay is now possible, but it’s hidden and awkward to navigate. That’s the only thing that needed to be fixed.
When ever there’s an issues or I need help, staff is always 100% on top of the issue ready to resolve it. My years of banking with the credit union have been extremely rewarding. If I could personally thank each and everyone of the my customer service reps I definitely would.
The Deere Employees Credit Union mobile APP is EXCELLENT. It has a great user interface. If for some reason, you need assistance; there’s an online CHAT feature available. Unlike a lot of other companies; the DECU support will respond in a timely fashion and keep you updated on all requests for assistance. They are the best!
At first I was bummed about the new format. I’d been so used to the old version for almost 8 years. I’m getting the swing of things…. It doesn’t seem as easy to pay on loans or transfer, but I trust the tech team behind this and I’m gonna make it work! $zenrasta
The new app is very powerful, the security is great (once you get past the frustration of setting it up), and I love having multiple accounts linked for easy cash transfer. However I find that the large icons mean less information on the screen. I have to do more button tapping than I used to.
I don’t like how hard it is to see the transactions. It used to have a negative sign before the amount to show that something was withdrawn and it would be red. Now it’s just black/grey and no sign. It’s harder to see where money went to in description because there is so much non-important information and then “…” before it gets to where the money is going to. I used to be able to see all my accounts on one page, but now I’ve got 3 accounts then I have to scroll to see more.
The deposit feature doesn’t work well. It didn’t activate right away to be able to take the photos. My husband & I each deposited one and we just kept messing with it. It finally worked, but there was nothing different that got it to work - it just finally did. Also, I couldn’t choose my other accounts to deposit the check into. It only gave the checking account as an option. This is definitely a downgrade.
This is a fantastic iteration on DECU’s previous application. I’m enjoying every aspect of it. I feel like I have so much more control over my money without needing to contact the bank. The app is fast, intuitive, and beautiful! Face recognition is such a plus, too!
Trouble getting signed up/logged in. Trouble making deposits. Credit card section shows payment due after payment has been paid. Tried to submit this review and it won’t allow without a nickname…. Five attempts at nicknames and they’re all taken.
The new log in is so nice with face recognition. No more entering your log in info and the improved look on all you accounts is easy to navigate. I was mildly worried about the new log in and how difficult it might be but in reality it is a great upgrade. Tks Karl Smith

On the new website, I have not yet been able to find two bits of information on CDs that are really important to me. First, the maturity date does not show up on the dashboard for each of the CDs, and secondly, I don’t seem to have the ability to go in and change the beneficiary on each of these individually. Am I missing something?
My bi-monthly payments stopped the minute I was paid ahead on my loan. I had to figure out a way to pay the normal amount plus the extra I wanted to pay. The bank should not assume I no longer want to make my normal payment just because I had put extra money towards the principal amount. If I didn’t keep an eye on my accounts you would have screwed me over on my plan to pay off my car loan early.
Nothing was wrong with the previous app. It was super easy to use & navigate. If additional security measures were needed that is great but no need to redesign entire app. Very unsatisfactory first experience with using this app
Loved the old app…learning the new one and navigation is different but I’m sure will be fine over time? New remote deposit is not as user friendly but will get better! Linking to our budgeting software is still not working? I’m sure Super frustrating for some non-techy users!
I live over 800 miles away from the nearest branch, but you’d never know it. The service is outstanding and this app is proof of that. It’s really like having a bank branch in your pocket!
Like how I can pay my credit card using the app finally. As for the payment processing goes on the following day. That is only part I wish they could improve.
Compared to the old app, you have to make 3 clicks to sign out… I also want to note that you can get a ton of info from the new app- act #, routing #, see your contact info.
Depositing E checks only works when it wants to work is very bad part of this app and then it will only allow me to put it in my checking account even though I’m doing it through my savings account very very bad part of your app need to redo this
Great looking update but lacks the ability to setup reoccurring transfers between members and other banks. Have to contact DECU to manages changes like this.
Been trying for three days to deposit a check that was SO EASY with the previous app. Now this one keeps giving me white box message about being sure to rotate my screen. Yes, I have! Over and over again, but the message won’t go away and let me deposit a check! Beyond annoyed!
The deposit feature is not as friendly as the old. When turning my phone to take a picture of the check, I have to turn several times for the app to switch directions. This is extremely frustrating as a consumer.
The upgrade took away a function that was important to me. I often do monthly/quarterly/etc transfers to outside entities. Previously, I was able to add a stop date or number of occurrences. This has been lost. Due to this, I am actively looking for solutions away from this credit union due to loss of function.
Constantly get error on size of back picture not being same as front. Image capture is too jumpy. While image resolution is really great, it now take 3x longer to get the deposit created.
This is one of the worst banking apps I use. It constantly lags and had updates for “bug fixes”. The layout of everything also seems outdated. Needs a lot of improvement.
I only give it a 1 star because I can not give it 0. This app is hard to operate, it’s confusing and nothing is right on display as it used to be. I would occasionally go to the webpage but felt it useless for myself. I truly loves the old app and this one has me NEVER wanting to use it..
Not a very thorough test on IPhone deposit issues!! Very disappointed, the app was better before. It seems like we’re spending money on things that aren’t providing real value. Provide more savings and money should be coming back to us, the Owners! :( Please reduce expenses!
The app for taking a photo of a deposit is terrible ever since merging with Infinity Credit Union. It’s very touchy and poor quality. It’s my only complaint after being a member for over 25 years.
