I love this Bank. They help me every time I have a banking issue. A gentleman in one of the main branches even stayed on the phone with me to help me get one of the online people to stop charging me for a subscription to some app that I didn’t subscribe to. always warm and friendly and willing to help me out. Also help me with getting stuff notarized, quick easy and fast as you go through the drive-through only had one problem when I was overdrafted. And a gentleman that seemed like he was new there told me I wouldn’t be able to get my money for two weeks. Because I was overdrafted by $13. I ended up going to the ATM, depositing the check and getting all my money, except for what I had owed the bank. previously, I was upset because I was getting charged $25 when I went over my limit instead of somebody taking it out of the savings to make it fair. That issue has been resolved. Thank God I still feel the credit union owes me lots of money for all the overdraft when they could’ve just been taking it out of my savings when I didn’t have enough in the checking, still great. Love the security guy Richard he does a good job.
Excellent interface but banking capabilities lacking
The new interface is excellent, and has been transitioned very well. All DNCU lacks is the ability to withdraw more than $700/ day via debit card at ATM’s, and the ability to make larger purchases with debit/check card. These two things will cost DNCU customers to Enterprise Bank & Trust or other banks who can accommodate these two issues.
I like the DNCU mobile app very much but there is one feature it is lacking that causes me trouble. When I use the “Bill Pay” function to pay my bills, the dollar amount I enter as payment is not immediately deducted from my “Available” balance. When these bills are paid by a DNCU physical check it can take weeks for the check to process and be reflected in my account activity. Frequently I forget I have outstanding checks, rely on the number indicated as my available, and wind up overdrawing my account. Please please change this. If I have authorized a payment I want to know it is a done deal. I know that other credit unions have this feature active so I know it can be done. Please save me and other members by fixing this.
What an improvement. So much easier to get into. How about messaging. For example when we go on a trip, can I message del Norte about my destination and days we will be gone. Instead of calling.
Zero stars if I could. Doesn't work on my older phone. Loads in landscape even though my iPad (thankfully new enough) is set to portrait with rotation locked. Won't even rotate to opposite landscape so I'm stuck with the buttons & camera at the lower right. Check deposit UI is a joke & my 1st deposit is "held for review", something that almost never happened with the old app on my ancient phone. My degree is in CS so I'm not pulling gripes out of thin air. Fire this developer. Almost forgot - the "privacy" is horrible. This app is gobbling way more info from your device than it needs.
Much better than the old app but there are bugs that need to be fixed. When the app is reopened after an expired session it does not automatically go to the login screen, instead it defaults to the wheel of death. I have to manually quit the app to access the login screen.
New review after recent update: Finally, not forced into landscape any more on iPad. App now loads to Home Screen with reasonable speed. Took a while to get here, but app is finally OK to use, almost as good as the old app. Changed to 4 stars. Old review below: —————————————————————— Old app was great. Had great reviews. Wow what a cluster, but we all know this. Is this change for the sake of change? Was a “designer” hired, or was someone trying to justify their salary by moving to this new design and bloat? Who exactly made the decision to do this, when everything was previously fine? Why does that person still have a job?
The old app was easier and more concise for viewing accounts. Also, the new app seems to have some bugs, hopefully these are fixed soon. Touch/Face ID do not prompt with each login like the old app. The authentication also takes a long time from the Home Screen to the account page. Please fix these ASAP!!
Mobile Banking is the best and the DNCU site is generally very user friendly. I love cashing my checks on line! I love being able to monitor my activity so easily. THANKS
This is one of the easiest bank apps I have ever used. It is clean and simple and convenient. I love Del Norte, very service oriented and offer great accounts and services
Not a bad app but every few days it locks up and I need to delete and reinstall. Kind of a pain but if this gets worked out it would be a whole lot better.
I can’t get the app to work even when I call for help. The representative is having the developer call me. I have spent at least two hours trying to load AND switch to this new version and have had NO ONLINE banking for a month. Pathetic!!! And totally poor customer service. Shame on you DNCU.
Unable to make deposits to my savings account. Please fix this !!! The app is useless if you cannot make a mobile deposit!!! I could on make deposits on the old app!!!
I can’t even get past the picture page when I try to open the app! This is ridiculous. I’m going to have to call the bank to even find out what my balance is!!! Grrrr!
This is the most worthless app I have ever had. I don’t know what they did to it the first one was perfect this one is always shutting down always forgetting my username and password I have the most difficult time checking my account balances from this app!
When it works, it is a good UI. However, it never works. Every single time I try to log on, and ‘unexpected error’ occurs, kicking me out. I am unable to log in using Face ID. I have to try to enter my password which never works (even when I enter it correctly) and makes me reset. Then the app requires me to enter a code sent to my phone or email which I never receive (not the same day at least) which expires in 15 minutes. FIX the app Del Norte!!! So many bugs!!!!
For a variety of reasons, all contributing to a declining member experience, we have been considering leaving DNCU. This is the straw. entering the new app - It is very frustrating when an app forces the orientation of the screen. After having to change the password, you now need a law degree to get into the app as it requires you to agree with many terms. Now the app asks for my iPad access code. No reason I should have to provide access to iPad. Once in the app, the format now shows 2 types of checking accounts. Finally figured out my other account was automatically rolled in. The overall layout is not good. Went to bill pay, more agreements. DNCU now feels like a multinational, for profit bank. Time to go.
