The Dime has been my primary bank for checking and savings for as long as I have been living in the neighborhood — 43 years. Staff is always courteous and helpful; they know me by name. Other than a slight name change on the Bank’s part, it has been in existence for many years, and that stability gives its customers confidence to continue doing business there.
This is one of the most failure-pro apps I’ve ever experienced. Something happens to your login information after you haven’t logged on in a while and you cannot reset your login info without talking to someone, who apparently only works M-T during business hours (I guess, the phone message doesn’t say.) If you do an app search, you find several possibilities. Which is it? The bank itself is ineptly run. The interest rate, which was the highest only a couple of years ago, has lagged everyone else in a rising market and is not near the bottom. I will soon be closing ALL of my savings accounts with Dime. Good riddance. Lack of website access, lack of customer service, lack of access to funds. Who needs it?!!!
This bank is so bad. They lock your account, ask 500 questions to unlock account. The app never works. They constantly tell me it is unlocked. They are locking us out of our own money. Customer service is completely rude. I will be withdrawing every penny this weekend. I am so furious. Sick and tired being questioned like a criminal. It is 4am and have to be at work by 6. Sooooo irate!
I had to try taking pictures more that 10 times. But I am happy as 5 Star that I could at least deposit it after many tries. Each time the message was that check pictures was not very good. Thought all pictures was great. Anyway, thanks that I don’t have to go to the bank to deposit it. Stay safe.
Dowloaded this app twice. Start it up and it immediately goes to portrait mode even though my device is in landscape. You would think the keyboard would open in portrait mode too, but no it opens in landscape. Can’t be that hard to get it right. I’m guessing nearly 100% of the apps in the app store got it down from day one. Thought it was a fluke so I deleted and reinstalled. Well, I was wrong. This is an undocumented feature. Hard to use it like this, so I’m deleting and forced to use a browser.
For the past 1-2 months whenever I try to login I have to call the customer service to unlock my account. Then after I logoff the app a day or so afterwards I’ll receive a notification that my account was lock. Then I’ll try to login again and my account was locked. This is very frustrating and been happening nonstop. I brought this issue up with the customer service but this has been persistent and it seems they are not interested in doing anything in fixing this issue.
Old system was fair at best. Was hoping g the new system Wooten an upgrade New system can use an upgrade. Keep a running balance after each transaction
Both the Bank and mobile app are excellent. Staff is knowledgeable and cordial and app for mobile banking works smoothly. This bank happily checks if they see anything unusual . Very pleased with transactions and security.
9 out of 10 times I can’t sign in, actually shocked when it does work. Called Dime and all they can say is that I am not locked out, then they say the system is up. So I go upstairs to my iMac and just going to their website normally, I get on to the website and try to sign on and it either crashes or it says “Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site” It works better on my wife’s PC, but she has trouble too. Guess I will change banks
the mobile deposits were working for awhile and suddenly for the past about 2 months they have had an incredibly bugged camera, other than that inconvenience the other features work well
The app and the customer service have all went down the drain since the merge. It’s Sunday, my mobile app isn’t working, there’s no search bar on the web to sign in to online banking again and there’s no one I can speak too. Changing my bank this week because this is ridiculous. After three frauds I should’ve known better a long time ago ! Smh
The bank itself is great. But the app user interface is terrible, over-complicated, unnecessarily layered with a design that makes it almost impossible to have a good experience. Same thing for their website; a very frustratingly inept design that makes doing anything cumbersome and slow. They need a simple design that’s all about banking.
I do not like the update. Yes it is a little aesthetically pleasing. Fast balance is helpful buttttt I can not see any of my pending transactions! I shouldn’t have to wait till they post to make sure everything is ok. And the bottom of the app once you’re signed in is messy. The opening screen overlaps the sign in screen. Not happy.
Without much notice, software changed. Without direction we were expected to upgrade. Garbage, the transition was terrible. 2 trips to the banks, and I still have issues, Not a happy camper
The name says it all. A small community bank with neighborly services, fine tuned as any of its big sister banks. Good service, good rates and as you can tell I am a happy saver.
The previous online banking mobile application was way better than this junk. I want to see the available balance front and center - the current balance is useless . Also I’ve got closed account on top rather than the ones I need to see
Every time I try anything on this app I am locked out at login. Then once I’m in half the time or more I have to call again as they put the transaction on hold for no reason. I don’t use it often, neve had fraud, sending to friends and doctors no one shady. Terrible.
After using the app for about a year and not having many problems, I’m currently not able to login to make a Zelle transfer to pay my rent (tells me to login into desktop and follow instructions but there aren’t any...) It’s Saturday at 6pm and no customer service available to assist - this is wonderful!
This bank has been in the neighborhood for many years. The people are kind. The app needs a major upgrade. It’s impossible to get the simplest things done.

New update or something - but the camera for the deposit is off-axis. Point it down at a check, and the camera is in landscape mode. Think that turning the phone to landscape? Nope. Still wrong. I mean, pretty basic coding for a banking app. Customer support doesn’t help. They want me to call someone. So, okay. Call. But nope. They don’t do app support. Anyway. If you try hard enough and move slowly, you can get it.
Dime on line syst needs improvement. Few small features that BNB should be incorporated into Dime syst. Like: green colored wire deposits, the transfers mechanics are also not as user friendly. Thank you
The mobile deposit in this app is horrible. It constantly rejects my checks. I take the rejected checks and deposit them with my Wells Fargo app and they are accepted.
