I usually do my banking at the drive-through. Ninety percent of the time I receive wonderful customer service. I’m very happy with Directions Credit Union. I want to say that within approximately the past month or so, I made a trip to the drive-through on two separate Saturday mornings(Reynolds/Dussel). I’m sure that the teller was busy and may have been the only one working so I patiently waited at the window for about ten minutes. At that point, I was wondering if it was possible that she didn’t realize that I was there so after waiting a few more minutes, I decided to push the call button. When she came to the window she had a scowl on her face. She looked over the slip that I’d filled out and this last time she actually said, “What is it you want to do”? I had a deposit slip made out very clearly stating what I wanted to do. Simply deposit two checks into my checking account. It wasn’t complicated in any way but she seemed either confused/angry or both. She stepped away to do the task and when she came back she very sarcastically said, “You have a WONDERFUL day”. She had a very deadpan tone and facial expression. Hey, I get it . . . we all have a bad day sometimes but we are adults and I think although it isn’t always easy, we learn how to curb our anger. I really like the new app. It took me a little time to adjust from the old one, but it was pretty smooth to switch and figure everything out. My main complaint is I can’t view my transactions on my credit card with directions in this app, but have to view that online, or in a separate app. I hope eventually they can update the app to include more credit card info besides the balance.
When making a payment it will allow you select date prior to the due date which is normal but if the date is too close to the due date then your account show past due if the payment is pending which is soooo dumb. So now I have to submit payment 4-5 days prior to the due date so it has time for the pending payemnt to go through… imagine having to factor that in for paying your cell bill or any bill. Also, iou get zero notification once the payment is made, no email or anything. This app is primitive and truly incomplete. Directions Credit Union need to do some major updates. On top of that - they’re very hard to get ahold of once your see you’re past due even though you made the payment.
New customer. Absolutely horrendous design. App not adaptable to device display. Unable to exit or go back as those aren’t visible on screen. Mobile deposits being rejected claiming photos of back of check not legible even though app accepts. Never had these issues with other financial institution apps.
The Directions app, saves time,is very user friendly and so far secure. I’m able to take care of most of my financial business from anywhere on my mobile devices, And I really appreciate the staff at the branch locations,They are very friendly and helpful if a problem arises.
So when I got this app they merged my account with someone else’s because the account numbers were right next to each other so I had complete access to someone else’s money and they did it manually, purposely, ignorantly. You can’t send people money anymore because you it needs a 4 digit number and the help icon doesn’t work to explain what it is. It’s like they went from a bad app to a better app but with worse employees. Fix your app. I’d give it negative stars if I could. You don’t even deserve the one it makes me give you.
I have been a member when DCU took over Education Plus. At first I thought “oh no, I’m not gonna like this”. I have been proven wrong. The staff has helped me with the simplest things to obtaining a loan. You guys are truly remarkable!! If you guys leave I’m following! Keep up the good work people!!! ♥️♥️♥️
I love the new app with new features. It is so easy to use. I like how I can customize what I see. The speed is no comparison to the old app. This new app is quick and efficient.
You get 1 stars for having an app but man is it just bad. The interface is horrible. I have 4 banks and this is the worst app. A good app should be user friendly. Options should be easy to get to, easy to remember, and simple. Have to jump through hoops just to make a credit card payment. I’m glad I only use DCU for loans and I don’t actually bank here. I couldn’t use this app every day.
Directions CU has an app that is easy to use, continually updated, and most importantly, secure. It is ok par with other banking apps I know and trust from AmEx to Chase.
Practically all the negative reviews here focus on the first few days of the apps release instead of its functionality now that it’s up and running! Despite the rocky start (working in IT, I know new systems often never release as smoothly as planned), this upgrade is great. The app loads much faster and is super easy to navigate. Also love that I can easily put a block on my card now as well as access my loan all in one place.
I want and NEED ACCESS to my Money!!! I am on Social Security and my Entire monthly income comes Direct Deposit through Directions Credit Union!!! I have no other access to any money!!! Without my Debit Account I am in DEEP DO DO! I can't even get my Debit Card to work now either!!! I need access to my account online to determine what the problem is and I need it immediately!!! But Guess What!?! I Can't even get logged in to my account and I've tried EVERYTHING!!! I keep getting blocked by an "ERROR" message that freezes the screen and won't click off it!!! And I am living in Florida so I can't just mosey over to the bank office to get it straightened out!!! And everything was supposed to be great and finished by Tuesday morning March 16, 2021!!! I am FREAKING OUT HERE!!! I don't want to change banks because I've been a member of DirectionsCU for over 40yrs!!! And all my life insurance is through them which I can't afford to change companies now at my age!!! So PLEASE GET YOUR ONLINE APP STRAIGHTENED OUT IMMEDIATELY FOR ALL OUR SAKES!!! THANK YOU!!!
It’s been OVER a week and I still am unable to get on the app, the website, and even going to the atm was a waste. Like others I need to see what I have in my accounts to pay bills, and ironically I should have received the latest stimulus, but I have NO way of knowing what amount I have currently in my accounts. Others have been able to get on board no issues, but I’ve spoken to some that are in the same situation-error window when attempting to re-enroll on the new app. I get that there are always bugs when upgrading, but probably should have done small ones over time rather than the total overhaul that has caused a LOT of issues and ticked off the majority of your members.
That app use to work fine as it was until the new update. This update was supposed to happen multiple times separately but all of those times got moved back. Then at the worst time with stimulus money coming in they decide to do the update. Then app still not working after almost a week being shut down. I would think they’d had all the bugs out back then when they changed their minds many times. Terrible decision on their part.
After almost a week of waiting for the new app to launch (and no access to the old one), this is not good. My husband set up his app; I downloaded the app and tried to log in and got the 403 error mentioned in other comments. Now he’s getting the same error.
I haven’t been able to access my account in 2 weeks, between the switch and now being unable to login. You can’t even get help. When you call in for support you get told there’s a higher then normal call volume then you get kicked off the line.
The app has been crashing since it’s new release. Even if you try to go onto the website, you can’t re-enroll. Also can’t get ahold of any associate for Directions. Very very disappointed.
I want an alert each time money is deducted from my account. This feature was available with the old app. If it’s available on this one I can’t find it.I DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW APP!
