This bank has lost so much money. There words, “it’s like it’s in cyberspace somewhere”. Well paying all bills and receiving confirmation from twelve companies only to find the following month the bank account is empty of funds and Elga can’t answer where the money went. Provide confirmation it didn’t mean a thing. This is outrageous that they knew their app didn’t work and lost money for many. Once through their ATM and they said we are aware and will take care of it when you get back from vacation. Then when we came home from vacation they said, “we don’t know what you are talking about”. It’s easy to look the other way and no one is accountable. Be careful giving them any money.
What is the point of mobile deposits if you can’t make a mobile deposit??? What I don’t understand is why there is such A small line on the check and such a big amount of words to fit on that line. *ELGA CU Mobile deposit only* there’s absolutely no way I can fit this on the line and make it look clearly. None of them work and it saying that’s the only thing that I get wrong. Making me want to throw my phone through a window. Please fix this!! The checks we receive are all from ELGA as well.
This new update has caused me to not be able to re-link my bank account to my online brokerages or money management apps which is very frustrating... before this update everything worked fine. Since the first day of the update everything is not working. I now have money in brokerages or other savings accounts which I now cannot withdraw to my bank in case of an emergency if I needed to. I usually like ELGA a lot, but this update was useless and costly.....
I would give it 5 stars if I could get the Face ID to work. App works when it wants to work, not when you need it to work. Try resetting facial recognition and it still doesn’t work, try to authenticate it and it has boxes that pop up and says it’s activated but quickly shuts it off and after repeated attempts it still doesn’t work, delete app and reload it again still doesn’t work
I’m still using the app and only because it’s semi convenient for making payments. My vehicle loan shows a different monthly payment due every single month. And they still haven’t made it convenient to make a loan payment. I would dump this app completely if I were closer to an Elga.
I would give it 5 stars if I could get the Face ID to work. I’ve went in and followed directions but the Face ID Authentication switch I swipe to right says show face then it oks it and says it worked. Then the switch moves back to off every time
I have had this app for months now and it was always glitchy to say the least. I reached out several times to get help but was just finally told to re-downland the app. Now, after downloading a fresh copy and since this new update it doesn’t work at all. What a mess, scrap it and start over. It’s just a cookie cutter app, how could you mess this up so badly? Thinking less and less of Elga all the time.
ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING how you a) cannot save a password and b) if you miss type a letter in the password, hitting backspace will delete the entire form. I have a long password and this makes it SO frustrating to log in.
For some reason this bank can never pull it together there are always problems signing in and when I need to get in my account with his pandemics going on of course it won’t do anything when it’s most important. As soon as this is over I’m getting rid of them and never looking back. Stay away from ELGA.
The mobile app for me is always crashing and now I’m getting an “http” error. So i can not log into my mobile app and I have to use a “call/text” app to try and contact them every few months. Super fun. Would not be too much of a hassle if I could walk in there but since being in japan I’ve had nothing but issues.
Great app but I cannot get the Face ID to work. I slide the radio button to allow it, it says successful, then turns back to off. That’s the only reason I don’t use it as much as I used to.
I like the new layout a lot but I have the iPhone 6s Plus and the fingerprint to log in doesn't even appear on my app!! Please please please fix that!!
Face id wont work and its annoying if i type my password and fat finger 1 key and hit backspace it deletes it all and i have to retype it all either fix that or fix face id
I successfully updated my app and enrolled as stated...only to be unable to access the login screen on the app. Continually reverts to the update/enroll screen/link. Frustrated.
To many problems! Constantly updating every payday night around the time I get paid! The texting info doesn’t work and shutting off your overdraft protection doesn’t work if you have something like Netflix. Even if you tell them, When I don’t have any money in my account then don’t let Netflix let me go negative in my account! Don’t take the money out and they said it won’t happen again and then it happened again and another $25 fee. I’m taking my business elsewhere. They treat you like a number and money. Not a person. Goodbye ELGA CU And ps they told me if it’s something like Netflix on your debit card and not connected with your account and routing number then it won’t take the money out of your account if you don’t have enough money to pay the bill. I think I’m going in to the bank tomorrow and close it down and just go to Huntington Were there app works and the low balance alerts work. And they won’t take money out if you don’t have it like they tell you. And I get $400 if I change my direct deposit. I’m done trusting them.
I have had to unload and reload app many times to keep it working. If it’s time to update your password it doesn’t tell you this, it just doesn’t let you in. You only find out when you go to the website and try logging in there. This last issue I had gave me an error message when trying to log in. Tried removing and reinstalling but still getting error message. I have an app for my other credit union and have never had a single problem. They can be super awesome, this one just isn’t. I guess I will just have to use their website instead for mobile access.
The first version of Elga's mobile app wasn't elegant in design, but wonderfully functional. You were never more than a few clicks away from efficiently getting any task completed. The update attempts to use Elga's brand colors to brighten up the interface, but kills functionality by making the number of button presses to do anything (transfer between accounts, etc) double. Unfortunate update - avoid if you have the prior version!
I don’t see the issue anyone else here has. If you are good with technology, you will be fine with this app. If you are not good, don’t leave a bad review because you aren’t good with technology.
The app does what it needs to do but it is very outdated. It hasn’t been updated in over a year. The app was never updated to the iPhone X screen size. Sometimes it’ll crash while signing in but I don’t have that issue as much as other users. I do 90% of my banking online, so have a good UX with my banking app is key.
Great job!!! Love the fingerprint login...it's almost like instant access. Love the photo deposit too!! I may never have to go to a brick building again...I'll miss you guys 😜!
Needs to be redesigned from the ground up. Needs to have more functions within the app instead of having to log onto a laptop to get further detailed information. If you wanna compete with banks and other credit unions this has to happen in order to get ahead in today’s world.
Between this app and their website its terrible. Ads, app crashes, Forget your password? No problem, just wait an hour for an email to a link that asks for your security question answer without asking you the question..
Not compatible on iPhone XR. The sign in screen glitches every time I try to login, I don’t have a problem like this with any other apps. Disappointed and inconvenient. Please keep the app updated to be able to function on new devices
Underwhelmed and treated terribly by staff in person. Elga refuses to communicate in writing (email that is) and chooses to ignore what transpired. Every opportunity has been given. Several weeks passed so is time to go more public given lack of Elga engagement. Situation: Spoke to Elga on several occasions to confirm eligibility requirements. Staff shared the same content and understanding as the website. Tried contacting branch directly yet all calls are handled by the call center and assured call center agents are equally trained as those in the ranch. Residency requirement not required if a donation of $25 is made to Salvation Army Bed and Bread. Requires I am in person to make said donation. Ok, I make the trip. Any person making a $25.00 donation to the Salvation Army Bed and Bread Program. (this option not available for online account opening) Elga does not schedule appointments for new accounts, so I arrive to open an account and am immediately treated terribly by the CSR. I asked for clarity on the donation clause and CSR stammered and could not explain. CSR was not listening and kept repeating residency requirement..in a tone asking me to leave. Drove to another branch where the manager at least listened however explained residency requirement., apologizing for phone agents who are not the ones who actually open accounts. I expressed efforts to contact the branch directly and asked what else I could have done from my side to prevent this very issue? Manager said nothing more I could have done. I asked why residency was not even listed as a requirement, manager agreed that would have been helpful. Asked what the donation in person clause meant, and manager could not speak to it, reaching for stretch explanations, then expressed understanding how the information on the website was ‘confusing.’ Manager promised to pick this up with marketing etc etc - and a month+ later the information remains the same.content. Who are you? Individuals who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school within the State of Michigan are eligible to join. Saginaw Valley State University, including students and alumni. 04/21/21 update: every update deletes your information and you have to login all over again. The Chase bank app doesn’t forget you login during updates. The developers for this app are terrible. Pure garbage! It deleted my password and doesn’t recognize my login. What’s the point of saving the data when it wipes it every time with an update. I’m not excited about ELGA. This was a useless update! It goes along with the crappy service.
This app has been a challenge since we got it months ago. My bank has twice now had to shut it down for a day to work on it. Now they are forcing a reenroll and none of my info is matching up. My husband has NEVER been able to use this app on his android. I have an iPhone. This app is not good and I would pick a different bank over app issues.
