I haven’t had any problems with the app working since the newest version but I’m missing features I had in the previous version. I’ve been enrolled in mobile deposit for a couple years but I no longer have the option anywhere in the app. A family member has the app and we have different options on the bottom of the screen. She can access mobile deposit from the bottom but has to go to the full menu for bill pay.
Extraco just changed from one up to “improve app“. This improved app is lacking in many ways. The functionality is not user-friendly in the interface is way more complex than the old app. I had to re-download and re-log into the old out to even find my account information because the PDF file provided on the account statement wouldn’t load. It’s just a little bit harder to read and with the old app I can just open the app and see what my balance is. There’s several firmware bugs that cause issues in transferring funds. The transfer portal interphase is kind of trash. The old app looked better, works better, end it was basically what you expected out of a mobile app. I feel like they are trying to integrate everything you can do on a desktop into a mobile app and it’s hard to find anything. KISS. Keep it simple stupid.
This app is pretty good, although I liked the previous app because it allowed you to make detailed notes on each transaction if necessary, which I just like for my own clarity. The one thing I’ve been asking for with each update is a built in calculator that will stay on the screen while the app is open. I hate switching back and forth from the bank app to the calculator! Now after another update it gets even worse! Not only do they not have features that would be helpful to me such as built in calculator and space for detailed transaction notes, note they don’t have the deposits in green anymore so it’s harder to find my deposits at first glance amongst my transactions😡😡
Would be great to be able to divide my deposits into separate savings accounts while still keeping in same checking account. This is for my use only to keep for instance household expenses in one “envelope “, groceries in another, clothing in another. Randolph Brooks FCU has this available and it is awesome. My daughter can separate or set aside $$ for each child or birthdays, etc. all the while keeping in her same checking account.
I wanted to wait until I got more familiar with the online services, and now I can give a pretty good rating. I have had some issues, but they have been taken care of. Some were taken longer to resolve than I expected, but they did get resolved. I have been with Extraco for many years, and I think I will stay a little longer. Thanks for a good job so far.
I like the app a lot- very convenient for my quick on line banking. I think there are just a couple of things missing like looking at transfer history and being able to set up re-occurring payments.
The app makes it easy to stay on top of all my banking needs. The only problem I’ve ever had with the app was with trying to do Bill Pay from it. Still 5 stars, because all other transaction needs are so easy through the app. It outshines my other banking app by far!
Like the functionality and pretty much I can do anything I need to on the app. The only thing missing is Dark Mode. Please make this option available. The Extraco app before this one had Dark mode. Dark Mode, Dark Mode, Dark mode! My only issue is please have the option of Dark Mode.
I enjoy the Extraco mobile because it is easy to deposit checks, retrieve my monthly statements, and to pay and receive money via Venmo. I have banked at this location for over 40 years, even before Extraco. The employees and managerial staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful.
The main thing I do with this app is check my balance and recent transactions. While checking my balance is easy enough, looking at the list of transactions is harder since everything’s all white and it all just blends together. Not only that, but whenever I scroll through my transactions, the sidebar/menu keeps coming up and getting in the way. The old app was great, don’t know why you made it harder to use and more clunky.
I Love banking at Extraco Bank but here lately they seem like they want to close my account that’s me I can’t save no money either don’t know what going on but if I can sit down with somebody that works there and go over my account with me and see where all my money is going ty Darrell
I love how quickly the access to review my online banking transactions is. It’s give me a peace of mind knowing everything is balanced out. Mary Huerta bank teller associate is so welcoming and has been a great guide for all my banking resource needs. We enjoy Extraco very much, since 2017 been a customer!
Extraco Banks are the epitome of Hometown banking! Always professional, always friendly and extremely efficient! If there is ever the rare problem, they are quick to help and diligent to repair! You won’t find a better group of people to satisfy all your financial needs!
I cannot see a menu option for mobile deposit. The extraco website shows a screenshot of the option “Deposit a check” appearing in the app menu, but the option is not there on my app. I contacted extraco via their chat but they would not assist unless I provided my information, which I have no intention of doing. The app does not work for mobile banking as there is no option to make a deposit that I can find
I don’t generally bother to rate applications and I don’t know the reasoning behind the switch, but as a customer the experience in the app is a serious regression. The old app worked well and the layout made sense. There are quite a few quirks in the new app that have me needing to go “home” before proceeding onto the next task. Though functional, it needs quite a bit more work to be “polished”
I really enjoy using the Extraco app except when it comes to bill pay. I have a difficult time navigating that area. Maybe as time goes on something will change. Thank you for the deposit and transfer feature.
Previously had a lot of complaints about the app getting to open, face recognition etc. but seems changes have been made and it is much better. Thanks.
The app has worked perfectly while making access to my finances simply on point. The available options and on hand information has moved Extraco into a league of its own. Thank you Extraco.
I prefer the old interface. When I open the App, I could see at a glance what my balance was…now I must tap multiple keys to be able to view. Other aspects are okay. Ps. Unable to send as all nicknames I’ve tried are “taken”.
The associate was very helpful and giving me the password for extra for my debit card and very quick thank you so much. You have a very good associates and very helpful very professional.
This app is wonderful. All the features make it very convenient to mobile deposit, transfer money, pay bills, and manage my children’s accounts. Love all the features! Very user friendly!
This is a decent app! The problem I have is the fact that the app has allot of bugs so when you think something is wrong with your account when viewing through the app! It just doesn’t load all transactions! Also my check deposit just randomly disappeared!
I’ve been a customer for over 25 years and always been treated great at my local branch. The use of the mobile app makes depositing checks and checking my balances very convenient.
I loveUsing the Extraco banking app. They update it very frequently to make sure things are running seamlessly and reflect current balances correctly. Never had a problem using it or doing anything on the app. flawless.
The app is attractive to use and allows up-to-date view of the condition of my account. Also like that I can classify each transaction to a budget category.
I don’t have a big problem with the new Extraco App... but it has a few things it could improve: 1. Put the routing number SOMEWHERE on the app. 2. Every time I tap an item to review it the menu opens up . Every time. Why not just make it respond when I tap the menu area? Stop it! It’s annoying to always have to close it! 3. I looked at the new feature but it didn’t seem that helpful to me, but I will give it a try again before I criticize or applaud it. I like the categories although it’s a little crowded... maybe give us a choice if we don’t need or want them?
Everything I needed to do worked with the last app. The first few days of this app you weren’t even able to access all of your accounts. And getting anyone to answer the phone was a big issue. Finally fixed a few days later.
I have been a member of Extraco Bank for 16 years now, and I absolutely love this bank! The mobile banking is very user friendly, and the customer service is always on point.
I still miss the old app, new one won’t let me do a moble deposit
I’ve used this version since it rolled out, and my biggest gripe is not being able to use mobile deposit even though I am enrolled in the service, and there are instructions on how to do so online. The option simply does not exist in the app for some reason. Why would they advertise a feature that isn’t available?
This app is very user friendly. I have my real-time account balance at my fingertips. It has been so helpful. Debits and credits show up immediately so there’s no lag or confusion.
Visited the ap prior to traveling to Italy so my debit card could be used. Did not work. Tried multiple ATMs attached to banks. This is the second time traveling that debit card is refused. Wish Extraco had a MasterCard or Visa debit card option as our friends had no problem using those debit cards.
Apparently when you change your password as require you need to shut off your passcode so that it doesn’t automatically use the old password…it doesn’t tell you that and had to go to the bank to get access to my account. I tried calling but was forwarded to someone to give me access to “free medical alert”. I couldn’t get the sales person to shut up so I hung up,
We switched to Extraco three months Avon and LOVE their app much more than our old credit union app. Very easy, graphics are great and extremely easy to use. So glad we made the switch!
Biggest problem is logging in. Even though I have enrolled in using my fingerprint, I am still forced to “reenroll” and enter my password again fairly frequently. Not sure why the ap has started to do this; previously I had no problems.
Very frustrating…even my son (who is 60) says it is a very difficult site to maneuver in…I am very unhappy with it…frustrated and angry enough to think about closing my accounts down, and we have been customers for 26 years…thankfully a new employee (Karen) helped me out. I still feel steam coming out of my ears!
I’m confused! My 5 star rating has reverted back to one. Why? Because you all went back to using parentheses. Why? What happened to green being for deposits, along with a plus symbol. If this is supposed to be an improvement in the update, it isn’t. Please revert back to the more user friendly green. I had no idea what the parentheses meant until I spoke with a customer service rep.
