Everyone at the Albertville location has been absolutely wonderful to Dannie and myself. They all truly know not just the importance but most importantly the true meaning of Customer Service. We really want everyone to know that if you all want to be treated just like family and not just a number well then Family Savings Credit Union is the place to go to!
I absolutely do not like this new app! I do understand upgrades are needed but it is not user-friendly! Customer Service has always been amazing And that Department deserves five stars please understand that!, but I’ve been with this credit union for almost 15 years and I have never been able to get approved for a loan. I am also with Navy Federal credit Union and I was with them only six months and was able to get two loans! There’s something wrong with this! This is a previous review, but I still feel the same! AND now I’ve been a victim of fraud more than once, and this credit union did not catch it, and I’m suffering the consequences this go around I have lost almost $300 that has not been reimbursed as of yet. I am not a happy client.
This is a great app but it’s missing none feature I used all the time with the old app. That feature is the Apple Watch companion app that allowed me to quickly check my account balance. Please add this feature back.
The new app is usable but isn’t nearly as user friendly. The accounts have switched names by themselves, the transactions are all jumbled on the home page (shows all account’s transactions mixed together in one feed) which is very confusing. You are now also required to right “for deposit only at Family Savings CU” on the back of the checks when depositing which slows down the check depositing process and seems unnecessary. I’m not sure why they developed a new app, but it is certainly much worse off.
My account always gets an error updating message to where I can’t see my balance in my savings or checking and I can’t transfer money over at all. To make matters worse, every time this happens I have no idea how long it’ll have the error message. One time it lasted for literally 8 hours so I basically couldn’t use my money that day. I don’t know what the deal is with the “error updating” stuff but it really puts people in a bind when they need access to their money.
There’s no rhyme reason to when this app will or will not read your check. It could be the clearest picture in the world but if the app is just having a bad day it won’t read it and you have to keep resubmitting until it decides to wake up. Also, I’ve never understood why a mobile deposit has such a crazy lengthy hold on the money. The only thing I can think of is that the bank is in trouble and needs to charge people fees for overdraft. It makes no sense.
Transfer from fraud dept. of $75 Is not showing up on my app. What’s the matter with you people? First your card reader was “down” and I couldn’t get a new card for 2 days. Now you won’t complete your investigation to return 5 disputed charges. I am a recent widow and have obligations. So do not respond if all I’m offered is excuses. I will close both of my piddling accounts as soon as this is resolved!
It’s so nice to do banking with a bank that still has the old day hometown feeling to it. They are personable and want to help you achieve your financial goals. Hiram Family Savings is the best!
I’ve been trying to login the Family Savings Credit Union App and every time I open the app, put in my required information, it prompts me saying download iOS 16 or latest version. It then prompts me again to update the app but once I select update, it doesn’t nothing.
The new app. is not user friendly as the old one. I fine myself having to search for things. I still love having a app. to do my banking but like the other better
Their website says that they offer zelle, however when you download the app. Zelle is not there at all. I use it quite frequently to the point it’s almost making me have to switch banks. Don’t advertise Zelle if you’re not going to actually put it on the app.
not only is this update awful, but family savings, in general, is becoming absolutely awful.. bottom tier, actually. i’ve had problems with my accounts, the app itself, and so much more that they’re unwilling to fix. almost everyone i’ve spoke to has been rude, neglectful, or has tried to blame these problems happening on me, and this all started after this app update. family savings is on thin ice with me as a customer, and i hope they plan on fixing all of these issues.
I was so used to the old app. Then you change. For me, the old app wasn’t broke? Like Walmart, as soon as you begin to learn where everything is, they move things around.
I am very displeased with the update. I’m glad they want to make it look better but it’s definitely not efficient. I am having to move money around constantly and I like the old app way better.
