This makes managing my health related finances so easy. Want to reimburse myself for an expense from my HSA? Easy Want to document the receipt and expense details?? No problem, take a picture or attach the file, fill in some optional details. Wanna see your balances? You got it. I just think this is such a great app and concept. Look forward to seeing it evolve. Would love if more businesses returned to making life better for the consumer and adding value instead of making every little thing as frustrating as possible to get you to buy a subscription or a +plus version or whatever other thing. If this was another business the documenting your expenses would be a microtransaction or something ridiculous. Keep doing what you’re doing Fidelity and I’ll be sticking around for good
I am a registered nurse for a large insurance company, so I have a lot of knowledge and experience behind this review. You can’t access your electronic card. You can’t pay expenses. The only thing you can do is check your balance. My previous HSA was through Benepass and I will greatly miss the convenience of that app- it did everything live and told you if there was an expense problem and why. You could scan it just like a credit card at the drug store, etc. Here it is the 10th of January and we still don’t have our hard cards. I have never NOT been able to create a new account and print a paper copy before! I have been waiting to get my new prescription glasses for weeks. Shame on you fidelity- this is a very inadequate app. The website isn’t much better. I will keep my vanguard account for my 401 additional contributions because of this crappy app- poor quality app & website=poor quality everything. There is NO WAY this is rated 4.9 of 5. They must be falsifying the numbers.
It’s very helpful being able to see what is available in my account, pay or reimburse myself for medical expenses out of the app, adjust my account info when I move to a new address, etc - way more convenient than having to get into the site on a computer, too, since I don’t always have access. I would appreciate a better way to track my expenses here, though. I have a hard time organizing or remembering things, especially over the long term, so I would find it really helpful to be able to snap a photo of my receipts for medical expenses on this app (or at least make a note of what I’m reimbursing myself for) to make justifying them easier during tax season.
Using the app for my HSA and it’s so easy when I forget to use my card of husband goes to get my prescriptions and doesn’t have my card. They make it super easy and my favorite part is I can add a picture of my receipt because let’s be honest no one saves them anymore. Very helpful and easy to understand.
Makes it easy to link several Fidelity Apps (3 so far) with your Bank account. That way you can access information on your Retirement And Health Savings accounts. So far no hidden fees like how much it cost for a sick/illness/injury note from a Hospital $$$ that workers comp doesn’t cover =]
I typically dread doing the reimbursement process. So much typing is required to enter the information from my medical receipts. This time, it was quite literally just one click, I submitted a request for the entire amount available in my account. Thank you
1. “Saved receipts” feature doesn’t work. 2. Why is this a separate app from the NetBenefits app? At least provide a link between them. My card says “NetBenefits.” My company calls this “NetBenefits.” Why is this a separate app called “FidelityHealth”? It doesn’t connect with any health app, and doesn’t provide any health info. 3. “Scan” doesn’t scan my receipt like the previous HSA app my company contracted with. Even standard business-expense reimbursement systems, like Concur, do this.
The 2 factor authentication kicks in for every session on a single device. This is very inconvenient if I used the app on a specific device in the last couple of hours. I totally understand if it’s a new device and would may be like to see an option to have ‘Remember me on this device’ that most sites offer.
The app makes it very easy to reimburse myself for medical expenses but it would be VERY helpful if there were a memo field (like there used to be). We have scores of expenses every year and if there is an audit it would be very difficult to figure out which expense goes with which receipt.
Because I don’t have the latest iPhone and mine does not have iOS 16 available for it so I’m unable to use the latest version of the Fidelity Health app! Please maintain the earlier version so my phone can use the app! Doesn’t the app communicate with a database relative to my account? What makes the previous version totally unusable with the data that would be communicated with the app? This exclusion is outrageous!!!
This app is very handy. I was able to use my downloaded Covid card at a health conference recently. It works quite well. It’s a must have if you want get of clutter in your wallet or purse. I highly recommend!
Learned about this app from an email Fidelity recently sent to me. I have a Fidelity HSA through a former employer. Turns out that the app only works for current employees. Otherwise you get a message that your account is locked ( fortunately it did not lock web access to my HSA). Fidelity, please make your description crystal clear and stop sending emails about the app to people who are prevented from using the app.
This app is so easy to use and doesn’t use the stupid jargon that other financial apps use. It takes out the intimidation factor and lets me reimburse my medical expenses easily
I actually really enjoyed using this app but I logged in today for it to tell me to use their new app which doesn’t have the scanner to check if an item is eligible for payment. If I wanted all the extra information about my retirement and hsa investment options I would go online not use an app. Thanks for ruining the only purpose this app served.
Some how my HSA didn't max out at the end of the year from my pay checks. The HSA one time contribution made it very easy to max it out! Way better than Net Benefits!!!
It needs a receipt scanner and folder to save HSA receipts. We’re required to save receipts for IRS purposes. Fidelity even tells you that, but the app doesn’t provide a way to save them. Now I’m researching receipt saving apps just for my Fidelity HSA.
App is installed on iOS 14, but refuses to proceed. No later version can be installed. Please make the next update of your app work on iOS 13 and iOS 14, so those of us with older devices can upload receipts and receive reimbursements! (The regular 'Fidelity' and 'NetBenefits' app still work fine on iOS 14; there is no excuse for this one not to as well.)
App doesn’t tell you your available balance to withdraw. Fidelity should just stick to investing, not HSA. I deposited funds and still don’t have access to the funds. It’s 7 days and counting. Told me to call back in a couple of days if still not available. Also made medical payment with debit card 3 days ago and bill is still not paid.
Paying health expenses is already painful. This app doesn’t help you keep track of what reimbursement you already submitted and what has been charged to your Health Care Flexible spending account. It’s just easy to submit a reimbursement request but then it goes in a black hole… no bueno!
Ok app but Optum HSA app is way better. Need ability to scan documents and bills for record when they are paid from your HSA. and when you pay a bill, you can automatically scan the paper bill as record.
The log-in screen does not allow me to copy/paste from my password manager. I use randomized and highly complex passwords, so not being able to copy/paste from the manager is a huge problem. Deleting app until this is resolved. There’s no excuse for not enabling a copy/paste function for log-in credentials.
I’m happy to have them in my corner. The investments and hospitality and good interpersonal communication are great! I look for a long relationship between us!
So easy to use. Submitted my reimbursement request in doctor’s waiting room. Ability to add spending card to my digital wallet would make it a 5 star app.
Lazy app designers, they don’t bother to get provider data from medical insurer, and expect you to enter the billing address of the doctor! Good luck with that. Hope did I end up having to use this garbage…
The app stopped processing claims. Unclear if it is the system or the app. So going to lose money while trying to submit some final claims. Good thing my former employer switched away from Fidelity for FSA. They still use Fidelity for the 401K, so hope people don’t lose money due to incompetence like this.
This Health App, the Fidelity App and the Fidelity website are absolute trash for submitting FSA expenses. The UI and navigation are horrible and confusing, the uploads almost never work, if there is an issue they just deny the expense and don’t actually tell you what was wrong. Fidelity is the absolute worst for FSA.
Employer moved HSA to Fidelity so I downloaded this app thinking it would allow me to access and use my HSA funds. No, it only allows viewing balance and transactions. Submitting a claim has to be done through their Bill Pay web site. 🤦🏻♂️
There is no link to your insurance as shown in the screenshots nor does it allow you to track expenses as stated in the app overview. There is no reason to use this app. It does not do what it says it does.
This app is really terrible. It actually is confusing. I didn’t even see my balance until I went into it. It’s not integrated with investments.I don’t know why someone would use this.
I can't paste into the password field, and apparently neither can my password manager. I typed it all in and it still didn't work (but does fine on desktop.) Fidelity please hire UX people
Every since my company changed to Fidelity as provide for HSA, I couldn’t pay a single bill This app fails to save provider details with error all the time.
