So in June I stopped by my local Mavis Discount Tire for an alignment once there I was informed that my used tires were on the cusp of being outdated. Unbeknownst to me, your not supposed to used tires over 5 or 6 years old in New York State. So I asked for 2 but got 4 the next day when I showed up. I told them that at the moment I was being affected by the pandemic and was unemployed. So they offered me a job and also let me know that they had a Mavis credit card. I had just finished paying off other credit cards and expected to get approved (however the credit companies are hard to please, if you pay on time they get mad, if you don’t pay on time they get mad) so I got approved foe the flex tire program (yippie). This convenient way to pay it of same as cash in 90 days is very helpful and I jumped on the opportunity. End of the day I was a happy camper with 4 new tires and and alignment. Thank you!
My friend and I were having car problems and they were able to pay the bill and we had 90 day same as cash. First, they took funds out of my checking account and never sent me a notice or receipt for Anything. Then, when it came close to the 90 days, we were on the phone with a person who said her name was Alexa, that we would be able to call and get a seven day extension. I called and was told by a guy that was working, I would have to call them back the next morning, which would be a day after the 90 days. Well, I called for the extension and was told that they don’t do seven days extensions and there’s no one there by the name, Alexa. The lady also told me that I now have to pay $1100 instead of the $395 that was left. Well, we got in touch with a supervisor and this person was able to help us out with paying the $395 remaining balance. However, she also said that I have two pending payments and if I were to stop the payments, they’ll reopen the account and I would have to pay the full $1100. All day, I never had a pending payment for them until late at night and the payment wasn’t even pending in my account, AFTER they took the money from my friend’s account to pay them out. We’re NEVER doing business with them again and I HIGHLY Suggest that you don’t either !!
When I arrived at Mavis tires and breaks I was in tears. Not knowing anything about cars at all sometimes one may get taken advantage of. Luke met me at the door went and looked at my breaks and rotors and immediately had me approved for financing and had my little car in the air. Impeccable service. One of the nicest people in sales I’ve ever met. And I honestly mean that. Luke left and Dakota took over. Can not believe there’s two of these guys working at the same place. Again impeccable service. Outstanding customer service. Brought the parts out to me explaining how they worked, what was happening with my car and how he was going to fix it. I am honestly as impressed by these 2 as I am grateful and blessed to have had their assistance. If possible I will always come to this location for whatever I need. Thanks LUKE!! Thanks DAKOTA!!
I applied for credit to buy tires today. Systems weren’t cooperating well together. I don’t know which system is installed at Mavis but my phone is an old iPhone 8. More need not be said there. When I called customer service to help resolve the mess I was handled with competence and kindness. I am grateful not only for good customer service from FlexTire, but also for the guys at Mavis going above and beyond expectations to help me.
I purchased a set of tires and wheels from tire discounters. They had to order in the wheels I selected and to do so I put $400 down. When they arrived I came in to store and wanted to use flex so I could do payments instead of it all coming out at once. I had to send over the a paperwork etc 3 different times and had to speak on the phone with someone each time with them telling me I needed to show proof of the $400 I had already put down. I had to keep going to the desk asking them to try and show the proof. I was there for a hour going back and forth with Flex and the employee at tire disc. Why Flex can’t speak with the company themselves to prove purchase or be able to scan it over instead of me taking pictures with my phone is beyond me. On the third try I was told they couldn’t do it because I had already put money down and it didn’t work that way. I was extremely frustrated. Luckily I was able to pay in full and it not be a problem but don’t rely on them if you aren’t able to.
The guy at the tire shop that convinced me to sign up for this crap shoot company said it would be simple to call and get them to change payment frequency because it put me on weekly payments even though I’m the application I very clearly put I get paid biweekly then when I call they guy says apparently you have to jump through hoops to change the payment frequency and when told they should make sure they’re sales reps should be more knowledgeable on the matter he says “well they don’t deal with the contracts so they wouldn’t know” then why are they telling people lies about it if the “wouldn’t know”
I always have the best experience when I come here!!! Everything was going great until one of the techs came in and started arguing with the manager… the techs name is Less he was very rude and screaming at the manager, whom remained very calm and then afterwards apologized to myself and another client who was store… this tech Less screaming at the manager when there are customers in the store very unprofessional.
Aside from the great service this app is really well designed. Since I look at that from my point whatever team developed this app should be congratulated. My only criticism is when taking a screenshot with my ipad its a little hard to center. Other then that a Great App and Great service from Mavis.
The app is a good app and moderately easy to use. I had a few issues with submitting my information causing an error message that lead to me having to contact Customer Service. I’m not sure if it was the internet connection as to why these issues occurred, nonetheless, both ladies were very pleasant and helped me through the process. I’ve used Flex (Shopper) Tire previously, this is my 2nd time using.
My tires were in desperate need of replacement and my credit not being great, I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get new ones. FlexTires made it simple and easy and now my kids and I are safe again!! Thank you FlexTires!!!
I wish I could give no stars! Please do not use this. I made payments weekly for 15 weeks, tried to pay off my account before the 90 days and it didn’t work. Called today spoke to possibly the rudest customer service rep ever named Gary, who literally tried to argue with me over the phone and insult me. End up paying DOUBLE the amount due. Then to find out because there’s already a weekly payment on the way I’m still getting charged that one, and they WONT be refunding me. First time I’m ever leaving a review somewhere and might even seek legal help.
It’s great for people with not so great Credit. But it kind of hit you hard when I have to come up with an extra $50 just to process your paperwork. If they’ve got to charge something maybe another 10 or 15 but 50 is a little bit excessive.

Nobody know anything, I paid of my leases and I still got charge twice!!! I happen one time and I gave anothe opportunity and it happen again, I don’t understand, when I call to find out one person gives me one amount, another person tell me another amount, another person say something else, nobody is organize and nobody know anything when is time for extra payment that I got charge
Made a reservation and was taken in for my service immediately. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Will highly recommend them to all my family and friends.
The staff here has been super helpful and caring while here. My car needed a good bit of work and they have made this a stress free day. Cindy has been excellent to work with I appreciate her greatly!

I can actually speak to a U.S based agent. I was able to get tires on my AWD vehicle when I popped my tire for the first time ever and didn't have money to buy one tire, let alone TWO.
They take out double payments and put my account in the negative all the time. When i called they said I would get a refund it’s been 2 weeks so i called about it. They told me the refund was denied. When i call they always tell me they don’t see an extra payment.
Downloaded and deleted within 24hours app crashes soon as you hit enter bank information, oh well, I’ll stick with Klarna and Affirm apps that actually work and allow debit/ Apple Pay instead of my bank account. How you know I wanna use one bank account for my payments, I might’ve wanted to use all 3 of my banks to pay tires off faster.

I applied and was arrived for $1,500. Booked my appointment to get my car worked on. When I went to check out I found out flex has denied my application. They did not bother reaching out to inform me or nothing. Now my car sits at this garage and the garage is adding extra charges per day

I was just at the dealership trying to pay for my tires and the app stopped working. I reached out for help from a rep who told me “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to tell you” so I had to pay for my tires with my savings for my son Senior needs. So upset I won’t be using this again.
