Fox 2 St Louis Weather

The new update has shrunk the giant ad banner down to a more reasonable size. I have been using the KMOV channel 4 weather app ever since this one brought about the giant ad banner. The KMOV app includes a lot of things I don’t need in my weather app. Things like weather closings, live streaming, web cams, etc. But I’m going to stick with it for a while to see if I like it better. My biggest complaint about the Fox 2 weather app over the years has always been that the weather data they pull for the app in no way matches the weather forecast coming from Fox 2. Oftentimes being very different from one another. The whole point of downloading a local weather app from a local broadcast station is to get that same information on the go, 24/7. I want the same information that comes from our local weathermen who are in the area and know the local climate. I’ll continue to use the KMOV weather app to see if their app data is more in line with their local forecasts.

This has been my only go-to weather app for years, even the past 2.5 years that I have been living 3.5 hours away from St. Louis. But I just got a new phone and now most of the app features are not accessible. The drop down choices for radar map, hourly forecast, etc is not visible or accessible. The app ads are at the top of the view and covering the app menu options. UNFORTUNATELY I'LL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER APP THAT WORKS WITH MY iPhone XR and has the RADAR option.

I’ve never had a problem with the FOX 2 weather app, it does not have all of the features that the KMOV app has though. In future updates, you may want to consider adding in some of the graphics that they actually use on the air, like KMOV. I love the FOX 2 weather team, and that’s why I’m giving the app 5 stars, but there is a lot of room for more features.

Been using this app for ever. Have lived it up to the last week or 2. Radar strobes out, doesn't update properly anymore. Weather updates and keeping up with current storms are a must for me. I've had to download other maps now cause this one just isn't up to par anymore. Please fix. Thanks channel 2.

Switching to the Ch4 since I can get to everything from the main page and it FAST!! Hey Fox2Now, realizing you bought an off the shelf app that you skinned with your artwork was a quick way into the game but this app has become badly BLOATED. The idea behind a weather app is to provide QUICK access to pertinent WEATHER! Not wait and wait and wait for it to load. Screw the new phones. Make it work well with iPhone 5, not just the new phones. Design and build your own app and scrap the off the shelf cookie cutter crap.

This would be a solid app, except that I can’t turn off the audible alert for nearby lightning. Even when I set the sound alert for lightning off, I still get a computer voice going “lightning has been detected near your location.”

After the last 2 updates I can’t get the weather report video to play, so that pretty much makes it useless. I don’t know what happened but if I can’t get the information it’s supposed to provide, why do I need it. Guess I’ll try one from a different channel.

I am a farmer that Lives in the metro east area. as of today, I will no longer use this app, and I have deleted it. This weather app/radar is so inaccurate compared to the others. Fox two news should be ashamed of themselves. The weather channel app is more accurate by far do not waste your time with this app.

I have used this app for years and loved it until...the recent update took off the location at the top of the screen. We travel a lot and this is an important feature to me. If this doesn’t change I will have to find a new app 😪

This app worked perfectly for years and now it is freezing the second I open it.

It use to be good, but the last couple of months it quit loading fast. Now the app rarely loads data. The page is there, but no weather data on any of the pages. Totally unreliable, so basically worthless for weather. Had to download another weather app.

Please go back to the previous maps. The old ones loaded fast and were easy to read. The new ones are slow to load on an iphone 8 and are not as useful as the old ones. I have been using this apl for years but now I am presently looking for a new one because of the new maps.

I live 45mins away from St. Louis I watch fox2 before I go over there for doctor’s appointments.

Doesn’t work at all when you try to watch the local video forecast. Plays a 30 second add perfectly then nothing. Deleted and reinstalled app with same results.

It asks if I want local and notifications, goes to fox screen and just sits there. It worked great on my iPhone 7 Plus, must be some conflict or something going on with app today

You cannot count on this app for correct weather. I look at it the morning and by mid morning it's changed. I don't know how meteorologist keep their jobs. The tv weather on 2 is always different than what their app says

I think this gives the best weather info but it crashes constantly. Sometimes it tales 5 or 6 tries to get it to open. When there's severe weather, I don't want to have to keep trying to get it to open. Also the front page with the temp seems to only update once an hour. I have no issues with finding cities and towns all over the country, even keeping them as favorites to be able to check on my friends when they are under severe weather. This would be the best weather app if it would not crash and update the temp more often.

For some reason this app keeps locking up!!! This is my go to app, so what the heck??? I sent a message to tech but they don't seem interested in helping!

The app only opens if I reboot my phone. This issue just started happening within the last several days, probably due to the last update.

Suddenly giant ads started popping up. As if the ad banner at the top wasn’t annoying enough. I’m going to delete the Fox 2 weather app if it persists.

The recent update dragged down its speed significantly to the point of not usable.

Video error every time I attempt to watch. Says video error, can’t play requested video.

See all the most recent reviews. Banner on top blocks location and menu functions. It's a do over.

Nice when it works. Doesn't update warnings in a timely manner. My Radio Shack weather alert went off a few minutes ago and still no alert update. WeatherBug already showing warning. Use WeatherBug.

The way this ap works is the first listing and image is a over all forecast. Weather past included. Which could be sunny and then when you go to the upcoming eight hours or hourly reading could be thunderstorms. Seems to me if there is eight hours of rain than the first forecast you come upon should state it is raining. Don't really care the ten hours prior to the eight it was clear out. I tried to explain to fox, they were nice and polite in their response, but they did not understand past weather had little effect on why I use a weather ap. I use weather bug now. In the present!

I LOVE my Fox2 app! I look at it everyday to stay up on the news. I would give it 5 stars. However, lately I can't get through reading news stories without being interrupted MULTIPLE times by the pop-up ads. It's extremely annoying!!! I thought at first I was accidentally hitting the ads to make them come up. But lately I've been keeping my hands off the screen as much as possible and ensuring I wasn't touching the ads when I scroll. But that doesn't matter. They pop-up when I'm not even touching my screen. I will give the app 5 stars if you PLEASE STOP THE POP-UP ADS!!!!! PLEASE!!

I love this app. I use it the most out of my 5 weather apps. The only problem though is that whenever the wifi signal is bad, it crashes so many times that sometimes I give up.

It only shows my daily weather thing and the radar. The other 3 parts are set on Missouri and I can't change it ! Fix or someone help please

The previous version was much better, loaded quicker and was not a resource hog it is now. I hope I don't need to check this if I only have Edge service where I'm at. Also notice that it drains on the battery if you have just closed it and not taken out of memory. (Double circle and then hold icon to get X to completely close it. Please bring back old version!!!!

The app is pretty good, although it definitely runs slow at times and seems to lock up during big storms. Would love it if the pollen/allergy counts could be added.

Not impressed with this update! Did any of the designers of this app update decide to take their device outside in the sun to see if there are contrast issues. Not helpful for soccer moms sitting out in the middle of green fields trying to see if rain is coming. At least give us the option to turn off the satellite to use a regular map.

Maps should pinch to zoom. It's a minor complaint, though. This is probably the best weather app out there.

App is great when it works...10% of the time. 90% of the time it can't determine GPS location and asks for a new place to search for. It also doesn't like to follow the settings sometimes to start you on the proper screen. Might make you want to go back to that pos KSDK weather app...

If your going to put an ad bar in an app, you should show it in your screen shots and not try to hide it.

I wanted this app to view previously recorded weather forecast. No option to do this was available. You can watch news videos though. Since it doesn't work for what I wanted I deleted it and went with another local stations app that does.

Ok weather app but I've deleted if because of the stupid red exclamation point at bottom. Makes you think you're going to see an inclement weather alert but it's just a solicitation for you to ridiculously spend ten bucks on some stupid apps.

All the reasons I used this app are gone. Now I'm left to search for one that will give me the features that used to be there. Hour by hour is gone. Easy access to radar, warnings etc are gone. Now they want me to "upgrade" for $9.99?? No thanks. Not impressed.

Local weather coverage u can count on

No matter how you try to look at it nothing is better about this app, it is completely ruined. Took the best things about this app and turned it into the basic weather app on my phone. I'll no longer will use it.

Like the new look but much different then I remember before the update.....mainly the HAVING TO UPGRADE FOR $9.99 to be able to get LIFE SAVING weather information!!!! Please quit being greedy and do the right thing!!!

Good, when it works. Slow at times and often won't load at all, other times will load but then crashes.

Who redesigned this app? Horrible job! The old version could have used a couple of updates but this new version is a major disappointment! Time to find a new weather radar app.

Checking 4 other aps (TWC, My Radar, KMOV, KSDK) and fox's timeline for radar is behind. It's 15 minutes behind. The severe weather has passed is but in the fox app you would think it's just about to hit.

Or should I say "downgrade". It is horrible! There isn't even a 10 day outlook? Craziness! I will be switching to another app for my weather until this gets fixed...
