Great App But.....
This is a great app and a great service. I have recently added locks and automation to the system after upgrading to the latest hub. All good stuff and very well executed BUT...they absolutely need to add the Automation function to the app and not just on the website. The inability to add rules and schedules from within the app stops this app and service from being a one stop security and home automation experience. Please add that functionality in the next update....seems odd that it is not already there.

A sudden change for the worse
Been with Frontpoint for some six years since moving into a new home. Everything was good until this past week when I needed technical assistance on a simple matter (replacing a door sensor). No where does the app technical section provide guidance on how to cancel the old sensor and activate the new replacement sensor. Although there may be more information in the section specific to sensors - but that information doesn’t download. I’ve tried to download that information numerous times using the Frontpoint phone app, the iPad version or by logging onto the Frontpoint website. Failures follow with an amusing “oops!” with a phone number for technical assistance. But that phone number leads to a recording that asks you to leave a call back number since wait times are excessively long. I tried weekend and weekdays, early and late in the day. Same message. It’s likely not high call volume but rather lean staffing that is the problem. And a call back is not very convenient for the customer. Am I to sit by my phone and near the Frontpoint system waiting for the phone to ring? Ideally I would need to be free to take their call and near the system to take any actions needed to activate the system. Not happy with this sudden turn of events.

Glitchy but mostly good
Using the app to monitor devices is easy to use and the added ability to manage some actions which previously were only available on the full site version has been a welcome improvement. It can still be glitchy such as on the account page, the screen will not scroll down to the options needed to make a payment. And I only discovered this because I noticed a message stating my auto-pay wasn’t successful even though the card on file is current, not expired. I added another card but since the payment screen won’t scroll down, I am unable to select it. Also, it would be nice if there were details available on the status of an order. Lastly, the device status isn’t always correctly displayed in the app. Every day the app shows a light on when it isn’t. Occasionally, the door lock and garage door sensor show in the app as unlocked/open when in fact they aren’t.

Decent app, recently added panic option
This is mostly a solid app. Shows the history of opening closing sensors and arming/disarming the panel. Plus notifies you if you go outside of a certain geographic area or if one of the sensors was left open for too long. They recently added a “panic” option in the app which great so if you’re in a situation where you can’t leave to trigger the alarm but since many people have their phones with them, they can still trigger the alarm. This isn’t app related but I wish their system had an option for another siren that can be triggered in the event of a breakin. Our hub is on our first floor and we can’t hear it at all on our second floor with the bedroom door closed. So we bought the touch pad which we were told had a 110db siren in it. It’s actually more like 60db. Can barely hear the siren over normal conversation from the touch pad. If I’m working out in the basement with my music going quietly, I can barely hear the siren from the hub.

Sorry but this honest review
First off , I love the company but theirs a few things that could be better especially for the amount of money you spend. One is the app & interface especially since the online chat is impossible to get any agent to chat with or it takes forever. I originally chose front point over other companies because they got best customer service ratings but it almost seems like an arm & leg when getting a hold of someone. Also going back to the app , if it takes long to get ahold of live agent you could have more customization options on the app. Especially since it’s 2022 & soon 2023. Most people don’t want to jump on to their computer to adjust settings. You should be able to delete errors codes with live agent. Last but not least, they should raise a customer bill from $49 to $52 . Every dollar counts & the fact it’s impossible get ahold of alive agent to talk about this, it’s kind of discouraging as a customer. I’ll end on a good note. I have had some great experiences with front point.

When I FirstReceived My Home Security System it worked excellent as a matter fact I got phone calls all the time because my motion sensor was not working right would go off with my cats which is not supposed to affect the sensor under 12 pounds they turn it off sent me another one got it turned back on and just found out the other day that evidently it’s not working either because I had my alarm on for a good hour and a half after I returned home before I remember to turn it off no alarm sounds went off at all I didn’t use any of my doors or windows but the motion detectors in my living room where I was at the whole time I have not got my doorbell put it in because it Hass to be a wired doorbell so I have that in a box still after all this time nine using they don’t tell you that whenever you’re ordering your stuff so I’m paying $50 a month for the garage and my two back doors security

Frontpoint is a good security system
When I subscribed to Frontpoint it was at the top of various security system lists. Maybe because of the price, I don’t see them on many lists now. The only time I have had an issue with the company was when they were pushing to have a neighbor’s phone number so the neighbor could investigate any alarm activity. I told them that on one side I had a meth head (who is why I got the alarm) and on the other side, a disabled senior, who uses a walker. When I explained that to the rep he said I needed someone who could walk around the house to check to see if anything was wrong. I told that to a police officer and he laughed. FrontPoint never brought it up after that. Other than that silliness, I am satisfied with FrontPoint and recommend it. The app is easy to use.

keeps getting worse
I've been with frontpoint for six years and it keeps getting worse. used to be able to get customer support on the line immediately, but rarely ever had to. now the opposite is true. with each app update and hardware version features are stripped away. now with the new hub I have to call tech support and wait on hold just to manage my local device setup. now with the new app I have to log on to the website to manage simple automation rules. now with the new hub my door chimes and security sensor settings are a thing of the past. I can no longer have an informational sensor that isn't linked to the alarm without manually bypassing every time I arm the panel. with only one camera positioned outdoors and set up for motion detection, video recording reaches the monthly limit and disables for the remainder of the month, typically 3 weeks into each month. there is no option to save locally. the only option is to wait until the end of the month and hope you 1) don't actually need the camera to record anthing; 2) remember to manually reactivate the recording feature next month. but you're still paying the premium rate even though the features are disabled. and homekit support was supposedly in the works four years ago. when I joined frontpoint I was very pleased. now, with each step backwards and feature removed; and utter stagnation of what remains of the platform, my patience has nearly run out.

Waste of money and time!!!!
24 hours now with no call back for help on door bell sensor set up. Finally got everything installed yesterday. Came home last night and changed alarm to “stay” so I’m secure inside the house. Take my puppy out to use the restroom and forgot to disarm. Didn’t hear the alarm whatsoever while outside 3-5 minutes. Come inside and realize it’s going off. Missed call from an 800 number was all I got. Thank God no one was trying to break in!!! No real monitoring for those of you like me who thought I was actually getting a security system for my safety!!! Now I’ve spent 2 hours on the phone trying to understand why no one was dispatched when I set the alarm off and did not answer the 800 number to let them know it was false alarm…. It is a Saturday so now I have to wait until Monday to cancel my “service” and get refund. Unbelievable!!! Do not waste your time and money like I have! Now trying to post this review and it won’t post due to “nickname is taken” no matter what name I use lol wow

This app is so horrible I’m considering a different service
This app is terrible, who designed this? All I want to do is go update my payment information and pay my bill and when I select the link under Make Payment Now, a dialog pops up and I can’t even scroll down to complete the payment. Who developed this app?? I go online to their website and when I login I have to use 2FA, which takes like 10 minutes? This is unacceptable for a security service when I need access immediately, not 10 minutes from now. The customer service and actual response time when the alarm goes off is great, but the app and website login is awful it makes me question if I should go with another service. The user experience of the app to check the security cameras and door cameras has been horrible as well, we switched to Ring because it was unusable. I like FrontPoint for their security response time when it’s needed, but on the technology front it’s horrible.

One star
We have had the Frontpoint system for many years. Uneventful and therefore no issues. We get to the house tonight and the system does not disarm from my phone or my husbands. We have no choice but enter the house and trigger the alarm. No call, no monitoring. I call in & the automated system will not move me forward. It only allowed me to leave a call back number for someone to contact me tomorrow. Tomorrow?? What if we were burglars.”? Then I attempt to cancel my account and it’s like pulling teeth. No option to cancel using the automated system. A couple of years ago we had a break in and we were alerted by a neighbor. I read the reviews and have faithfully paid for at least 4 years. Yet I have no idea how long my system has gone unmonitored. We only found out now because we tripped the alarm without Frontpoint calling to check in. My advice is to trip your alarm frequently to be sure you are being monitored. Or choose another company.

Definitely better ones out there
Good luck getting in touch with them. Had 4 panel failures in the 5 years I had their service. I had to tell them because they have no way of knowing that from what I was told. Since the panels failed, I had no security for God knows how long. Than you receive the new panel and you have to setup every SINGLE switch, camera, sensor AGAIN! Finally my panel stopped communicating with my cameras so for 3 months I had no visual security. Why 3 months? Because every time I called I waited for at least 35-45+ mins for someone to pickup. They also wouldn’t give me a refund on the video service I couldn’t use for those 3 months because they supposedly had no proof that I tried to call? Lol but they have proof I didn’t the cameras weren’t being used because they were down. Ohhhh on top of that they decide to raise their prices LOL this company is delusional. Yea I’m done!

Garbage app garbage service and equipment
App only shows the weather doesn’t show status of home or even the icon anymore. Terrible equipment not user friendly and overall get a real security company. After my tenant moves out I’m cancelling this crap service. Waste of money. Sensors are always malfunctioning for some reason, errors since day one. I’m not sure where they are getting their near perfect reviews from. Definitely not from me. Don’t skim on money like this for security. This app confirms the reviews about jacking up the price per month after trial period is over, the option to remote control and see status of your home disappears. No wonder I can’t see the icon anymore. Garbage unethical company. Sales guy did not mention this upfront. Terrible and greedy. I am not looking foreword to the cancellation process. Sounds like from reviewers they will continue to bill you when you try to cancel. Very garbage company.

Safety is my family and I first priority and the quality of Frontpoint’s service is very poor. My equipment has been terrible since I started. Many of the function on the app doesn’t work. I always have to call in and let a representative do it for me. What is the point of haven’t the app? At first we were haven’t problem with the hub not sending signals to the sensor. Then my back door sensor malfunctioned first. When I called to get it replace a week later, my side door was not sending notifications. Therefore one day my door was left opened for hours without me even knowing. I asked if all the sensor could get replace and it was denied. A week after, my front door sensor malfunction. It seem like when one thing get fixed something else breaks. I’m very dissatisfied with my service. I didn’t sign up for this terrible service and I don’t feel safe In my own home. I would like terminate my contract.

Works but with much difficulty
We got the Frontpoint system back in 2017 and we are finally out of contract! We liked the system at first but after 6 months it went down hill. Our keypad constantly lagged causing us to think the keypad was not accepting our pin. This created a race to keep the alarm for going off. Additionally the doorbell cameras they provided broke 4 times over 2 years. They would miss events or just stop working all together. We wanted to cancel but they charge you 80% of your remaining contract plus an extra month service fee to cancel. It was horrible to feel stuck with a system that we knew could break or not function when we needed it to. With a few months left we decided to cancel. We are going to go with a different system. We were also afraid what kind of auto renewal we might get stuck with if we didn’t cancel. After canceling and paying all the fees, they again charged us the next month and refused to refund us. The agent told us it wouldn’t happen again and we are officially canceled. FYI you can get out if canceling by transferring to a friend or family member but I wouldn’t feel right sticking them with something I didn’t want myself.

Perfect experience
I cannot rave enough about my experience with FrontPoint. They were the last on my list to get a quote from (should have been my first) and Zee, the sales rep who called me, was so helpful. He was understanding and empathetic of my situation and took his time to go through the layout of my home and provide recommendations that were perfect for me. It was significantly less up front than other competitors, hassle free, quick, and painless. The installation couldn’t have been simpler. Now I feel much safer knowing that my home and the people in it are protected! And I love that I can watch the video cams from my phone. Highly recommended!!!!

Terrific app sensor integration
I really like Frontpoint it has highly configurable alerts and controls allows adding 3rd party devices and allows you to modify the system as needs and seasons change. We really like the flood sensor as it was the first sign of a problem in the basement. It has worked without false alarm and over time as we added rooms and porches and smart z wave electronics it has really felt like money well spent; my only change would be to make it clearer when a logout and log back in is needed when you add a third party device but I love we can have best of breed thermostats lights and dimmers and cameras at a fraction of proprietary prices.

Gone downhill
I’ve been a customer since 2013. I’m moving in a month and will likely not use Frontpoint at my new home. Back in 2013, their support was great. I’d call and I’d get to talk to a real person in less than a minute. Today, I called this morning and asked for a callback. It’s now the evening, and Ive yet to receive a callback. Also it’s 2021, why isn’t there more self service capabilities? Removing devices shouldn’t require a call. Finally, why is there no live chat functionality? The only support option is calling, and that doesn’t even seem to work anymore because I never received a callback. Gave them 3 stars because of my last experience with them. Current experience is 1 star.

They used to be great
Unfortunately with poor customer service, this company has dropped the ball. You can’t get ahold of a live person to save your life, they won’t make any attempt to redeem themselves but rather pass blame for their short comings (when you do finally get a live person). I would recommend you find another security company as this one can’t even answer the phone which begs the question, what if I have a break in?? After not receiving an answer or a replacement sensor, we opted to end our service. They have a 30 day cancellation policy, totally understand, but they’re expecting us to keep and pay another month while we’re not even receiving the total services we’ve paid for. HIGHLY disappointing after 5 years of great customer service.

Cannot reach support via app
When clicking on “support” it appeared that I had an option to search FAQ or contact support. I tried to search first but found no answer (to a very simple question: how to exchange the panel’s battery backup battery for what I get several text messages a day; there is no link from the app’s alert message to any action either). Then I decided to contact support. I could not. After minutes of trying in a half dozen ways I found no option to navigate back to contacting support. Every time I got there I was sent back to FAQ that had no answer to my question. The rest of the app works fine, but not being able to reach support for a security system is no good.

Front Point makes me feel secure
The app is great with geo-fence options and monitoring capabilities. While there’s not a lot of documentation on the use-it’s fairly self explanatory and the times I did call support they took care of me. There are a bit of nuances that are covered in a general way in their videos. They have worked with my local police department in my annual renewals to make the monitoring portion secure and worry free. I love the control you have from the app to set the alarm if you forget, and the feature full doorbell camera is awesome especially in low light.

Customer service
Update January 2023 This app is useless after Frontpoint decided to update the app. I can no longer brighten or darken my cameras visibility. So during the day I have great vision but at night the view is so dark I can hardly see anything. Before Frontpoint made the changes in the app I had the ability to brighten the view. Since they took the feature away I can’t brighten my night view. As a result, all I get is pitch black with movement. Another feature they took away is the ability to flip the camera so the room won’t be upside down. I had to call in so they can flip the camera 😡 guess what!? The room view is upside down again. The pause feature is a joke. Is pause on or off? Before changing the app the company should do a survey from the customers and the consensus should prevail. Customer service is ok But the dang wait time to get to customer service is hellacious ‼️ Yesterday was the longest time 3 hrs and 18 minutes. If u do a call back be prepared to get a call between 12 midnight and 3 am in the dang morning 😠 I do like the camera perks.

There is really no dependable service
I am on my third doorbell camera. It just doesn’t pick up motion. Each previous one was replaced because of this issue. Supposedly they have a new vendor and things were supposed to be much better…NOT. Three different phone calls today, first 2 the tech just left me on hold while they were trying to figure out the issue. Never came back on the line. Third call i spoke to someone who was passing me up to a more experienced tech. Was put on hold, opted for a call back the day is almost over, no call back. So I decided to call in to cancel my system and go elsewhere. Can’t reach anyone. Just put on hold again. Do beware if you are not happy you’ll have a heck of a time trying to cancel.

Sold my house have not bought a new one yet moving in with family for a few weeks I’ve been trying to cancel Frontpoint And after leaving my name and phone number for a callback from my place in the queue I waited 3 1/2 hours maybe more for a call back they said they’ll send me an email and a text on how to discontinue it without the text and the email both tell me to call the number so I called the number and it says we have reached our maximum amount of calls in the queue so unfortunately we can’t take your call today and then I’m being charged every day for this service I wanted it canceled on the day that I called so stupid definitely will not use Frontpoint when I get my new house

Best Home Security
Front is the best home security company that I have ever had. I have been a customer for several years and never a disappointment. The app works great! I feel secure while at home and away. When I moved. the staff made sure that I had everything that I needed including updates or additional parts. Once I completed the move, they were very patient and walked me through every step. Additionally, they are amazingly responsive!! Great company and system!

Add more functionality to reduce calling support
This app works pretty well but it has too many dead ends where the action that I want to perform isn’t in the menu. For example, I want to remove a sensor from my system instead of trying to change its batteries because it is too difficult to open. The device management menu for the sensor lists two options but removing the sensor is not one of them so I have to call support. Also, when adding a new sensor today the app said that I need to disarm the system first but it was already disarmed. That is a big thing to get right so I don’t know why the app didn’t know the correct status.

Faulty equipment
In less than a year all equipment stopped working. Company said they would replace and only replaced half of it. I’m trying to cancel and it’s almost impossible. 7 calls now waiting for another call back again because representative did not send email. Last time my smoke detector went off at 3am. When I called in I was told that they couldn’t tell of the local fire department had been called I would have to wait and see. They did not have anyone working that could help I would have to call back the next day. Months later I’m still waiting on the replacement smoke detector. Before that the door sensor stopped working. After several calls it was determined faulty equipment.

1-year into Frontpoint security
I have had this system in my home for a full year. I actually have had no real issues that couldn’t be resolved with a simple phone call. 1 motion sensor went bad and it was quickly replaced at no cost to me. The tech support walked me through the process. I do want to upgrade my panel to the touch screen one now available. Video is crisp and easy to operate from work and voice commands make it easy to arm/disarm via Siri. Looked into 2 other companies before deciding Frontpoint was my choice. -JC

Frontpoint motion detectors are worthless
The motion detectors from Frontpoint constantly go off and cause false alarms.I can’t tell you the number of times that false alarms have been reported due to the motion sensors. This is happened at my home and at my office. I am to the point where I do not even activate the motion sensors anymore because any time that I do I will get a call in the middle of the night that the alarm has gone off.I got a call again this morning about alarm going off at my office due to the same sensor repeatedly misfiring. We already had a sensor replaced and there are no heat sources that are nearby the sensor. The sensor has been in the same location for the past four years. I am sick and tired of this.

Doesn’t always work
Make sure the keypad is handy because disarming thru the app doesn’t always work. I’ve also had issues with the alarm setup not being silent - the people at FrontPoint pretty much told me I was crazy, but I could hear it and also see my dog go nuts with the noise. I’m trying to set the hub signals and can’t find the setting - I think it’s outside the app, so that makes it strange too. Other users don’t have access to the Lights. Support does not respond quickly or at all sometimes. Update for 11 months on the system - continue to have issues with the App. Freezes all the time, so I can’t set the alarm when I’m at home. I also have issues with one of the door alarms - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Spoken to multiple reps who have suggested I move the hub and I have done that with no success. Multiple times where the App is giving a different status and showing the lights the opposite of what they actually are. Not sure if the system stinks or if it’s the app.

Can’t return
I am trying to find how to check battery levels and I tapped on FAQ. When I go into a question to get an answer, there’s no button to allow me to go back. I have to start all over again. Just a little aggravating. Never did find how to check battery levels. My smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night because the battery is low. I’ve had that happen before. That’s aggravating as well. However your support person did fix another problem I had the other night. I was very pleased with that.

Phone support
I call for support which the recorder states is 24/7 and I get an answering service. When I get something handled, something else gets messed up. I’m unable to change settings in this app to optimize recording features. It should all be easier. My autopay problem isn’t my mistake, but yours. I don’t have time to deal with things Monday thru Friday when I have an issue. The people on the phone that do well are great but please review the ones that are reading from scripts. Clearly, they aren’t doing any critical thinking.

Beware of the fine print
I’ve had front point security for eight years and the majority of the time, it did the job. And for one reason or another I’ve tried to cancel their service throughout the years and it’s always been very difficult to get rid of them. I understand their desire to keep clients, but all they did in this situation was make me mad enough to leave a review about the process of getting rid of them. charging more money when they knew full and well that I know longer one of their services but yet they’re just playing games to get that extra dollar instead of leaving a client happy.

I’ve had my frontpoint system unhooked for the last three to four months nobody has called to see why the equipment wasn’t hooked up I pay for premium package at that so I suppose to have them looking out for my house 24/7 anytime I call them they leave me on hold for nearly the entire day from the time they open until 12pm CST and they’re still pulling money off my account I don’t owe them anything I payed for my equipment in full so I want it canceled period point blank I don’t want anything free to stay I am safe without this security system

Can I give zero stars!
Every time I try to do ANYTHING on Frontpoint, whether it’s setting up a new sensor or changing a setting, it’s IMPOSSIBLE. My husband and I are both very handy and do electrical, plumbing, construction, etc. But between the two of us we can’t get figure this thing out. Every time we’ve needed to do something I have and to spend at least a half hour on the phone with support. It should not be rocket science! Least intuitive program I have ever used. If I hadn’t already paid for the equipment I would cancel the service in a heartbeat. If you are considering Frontpoint save yourself the future aggravation and look elsewhere.

Works when it wants to
I’ve had Frontpoint for a while now. (10+ years) However the app is hit or miss. Sometimes I can disarm and sometimes it just sits there pending. The doorbell camera sometimes works too. If I get an alert and I want to load the camera on my phone it works sometimes. I mainly see the video after the alert and watch the saved file. I changed the setting but there’s not much change. However the camera constantly catches rain and snow... (Update) The app works when it wants to. Arming it on mobile works maybe half or a quarter of the time. Disarm it is also the same. Disappointing.

Fine app
Using the remote app for the system allows the users to check on, arm/disarm and lock/unlock the system and it’s components from (literally) anywhere in the world. This makes system maintenance and usage easy and allows a number of users to access the system for any or specific times. The reporting lets us know who and when that is done. Very helpful!

I would’ve rated this at five but when I call support to find out how to fix my motion sensor, first they put me on hold and told my whole time would be 90 minutes. Yeah they advertise this award winning 24 seven support. The app could use more troubleshooting and not just the normal things that can happen because most of us can fix that. But instead the things that sometimes happen and can slow down or stop your system.

Works most of the time but not feature parity
This app is very convenient and it works most of the time. There were only a handful of times when there were huge delays in responses but that wasn’t often. The reason for a 2 stars reduction is due to the missing feature of changing and managing the automation and schedules. This feature is available at its website but not in the app. Both the website and app should have the same features for best user experience.

Constantly a pain
Seems like every time I’ve tried to setup or test new equipment the app has not been user friendly. Also when I name equipment on the app it always changes the name after I save the new name which ends up being confusing. Recently I bought a doorbell camera but the directions say to access and activate using the “doorbell” tab on the app which doesn’t exist. I tried from my laptop but it directs you to set it up via the mobile app. Overall I have yet to setup any equipment on the app without having to call customer service or make corrections on my laptop deeming the app worthless in my opinion beyond monitoring the system.

Works but annoying
The app works regarding the system however it’s generally done by workarounds. With the most recent update: if you want to arm your system from the front page you are unable to do it if you want to bypass a sensor. It responds as if it’s going to then glitches and goes back to the main page. You need do it from a secondary screen. Other features need a workaround as well. It’s a champagne problem but frustrating when you are waiting for it to work the way it’s intended.

Days of the Week as numbers, change it back
The days of the week used to list the actual day, for example; Sun, Mon, and Tues. A recent upgrade to the app has changed that to numbers. The days are now listed as numbers, Such as 01,02,03 etc. Please change it back to the day of the week. No one has ever listed the days of the weeks as 1-7. I just want to know what day is going to rain, or snow or be sunny and nice. I don’t want to have to think which day is day number 6. It isn’t something I used to referencing days as numbers. Thanks

Scroll feature needs correction
You can’t scroll on the model app to “make a payment now”. It creates a large button to select credit card I have entered but their is no way to get to the bottom to submit/process it. You can scroll down by swiping. It’s a Mobil app you can’t make it so large the stuff you need to get to is at the bottom off screen and no way to get to it. I assume it’s at the bottom I don’t know I can’t get that far.

Front point
I try to update my billing payment method to a new card, but the website is not responding for few tries. I finally I was able to save my new card number to the system then another problem occurred, not able to pay my due monthly payment with the new card on the system. I don’t know if it is due to new entry or just the system being problematic. You really had to investigate the issue because it is not user friendly and not good for business. Very annoying!!!

Slow …
Imagine you sleeping and hear a sound outside the house by the front door. You rush to the computer to check the FRONT POINT cameras aiming outwardly. It takes five minutes for the front point to allow you to log in , pass the authentication with images, then load the camera pictures. By then whom ever or what is outside is gone or not gone and is breaking in our home or the neighbor. I spoke to Front Point tech and managers pleading for resolution. ALL TO NO AVAIL.

Unsatisfactory
The app is good for monitoring status of the sensors. Other than that, documentation does not match the app functions. Clearly there’s a problem when installing a new keychain remote! Another issue I have all the time is that the wifi does not stay connected. I’ve spoke to a representative months ago and she said we were down revision. She said she would force update which never happened. Between the lack of functionality and poor support it will be difficult for me to choose to renew.

Need instruction video
I know the people who developed the app think it is easy to use, but it is NOT easy for a user without an engineering degree. I thought I could just activate my replacement smoke detector, but no way was that possible. After spending 15 minutes for chat help I somehow lost the window and couldn’t get it back. I ended up calling the help desk anyway which I usually have to do. So, I will no longer be using the app, I will use my phone to call for help. There’s 45 minutes of my life I won’t get back!

Unreliable
I’ve had multiple problems with the Frontpoint app since I downloaded it. First, it takes multiple attempts to arm my home sometimes. I try up to 5 times, then remind myself to try again later, which sometimes it will finally arm, sometimes not. If my phone goes into lock mode while it’s arming, it will not arm. Second, when I’m coming home to disarm I will open my garage (this has a sensor) and walk into the door, then the alarm starts beeping. I guess it disarms the garage, but not the rest of the house? Third, the response time is slow.

Faulty equipment
They sent a motion sensor that would not last I had the police at my house I was at my doctors office with my child with a report that somebody was in my house and there was no one the motion sensor was bad so we went through that now they want me to buy and replace the motion sensor that was no good to begin with I’m not doing it I would not use this company again if I knew what I know now for years they’ve been taking $30 or more out of my account never needed their services and now they want me to pay for a monitor motion sensor I’m gonna get a German Shepherd another shotgun and be done

No real time syncronization
1. The app must be closed/dismissed and reopened before status of sensors will sync to app. 2. You cannot remove a sensor from the app which has been replaced because it was not working properly. 3. About the system, there are long delays from when I open a door or window to when the panel or app indicates an opening. Maybe customers don’t validate these aspects actually work, which could be the reason these issues are not being reported as a problem.
