iPhone 11, just updated to IOS 16.1, cannot do mobile deposit because the camera screen gets stuck at “turn your phone to take a picture” or something like that. Tried a restart and a reinstall with no luck. I didn’t have this issue before IOS 16. So I’m thinking that’s what caused it.
The app doesn’t keep up with transactions made on the weekends. Have had several times where I try to transfer money from my accounts and they say not at this time. If it’s a Monday morning it takes forever to load. Not that this has anything to do with the app but if you go to an ATM from GE and you have a chip on your card which they all double days. You will stick you card into the a lot and wait. Nothing will happen. You have to remove your card and then the screen will promptly tell you bc you have a chip you have to leave your card in. Oh really I just did that and nothing happened. Seriously it’s been like that for two years! Time to get with the program and fix that. Also the chip on the bank cards will start to malfunction after a month. It’s super embarrassing when you go to pay for something and they are like I’m sorry your cards not working. You have to ask for it to be swiped even though it’s a brand new card.
Need to update on the weekends and need to send push notifications when transactions or being used as soon as possible so if a person card get stolen or lost we can stop transactions quicker and should have away we can stop or card if that happen on the app but other then that I love the app just don’t update quick only on weekdays and I think that’s not cool
I love General Electric’s low rates, they’ve helped me financially by a mile. However the app needs work, making a loan / credit card payment shouldn’t be this complicated. I don’t like that I’m redirected to “GoToMyCard” it says I logged off when I go to access my account and I have to do everything again. My mother also uses GE for her financial needs and she doesn’t even know how to navigate the website or app because it’s so confusing. Both of them are not user friendly especially for older people. Please update the app and website!
GECU is amazing. They have the best staff, the fastest return contact, and loyalty to their members. They have been there for me and my family every time we’ve reached out. I will always bank with them. As far as the app is concerned is great. It’s efficient. Could use slight enhancements to better the app but I don’t have any issues using this one.
General Electric Credit Union is the leader in banking App features. So easy to pay bills, get immediate notifications on withdraws, check your credit score, turn off bank cards in the event of theft, and much more.
If you’re a customer of GECU this is the only app option, so it’s not like you can say, “oh, but I like this other app better than this one.” Still it does what it’s supposed to do and have some cool features.
The calendar makes it impossible to make payments when necessary without incurring late fees even if it’s on the due date and you try to make the payment the calendar may make the payment 3 to 4 days out so basically you have to pay in advance to keep from incurring Late fees unlike other apps the payment comes out on the day you specify! You’ll never get ahead if every month you get late fees because of the calendar
Thank you for listening, the old app was garbage constantly crashing or having technical issues... not this app, makes it super easy to check my balances and pay a car loan. Thank you General Electric Credit Union!!!!
This company makes it extremely difficult to make a loan payment. It takes me forever to figure out how to do it. They also only allow a certain amount of money to be paid each month. That’s insane. I should be able to spend my money as I see fit. I cannot wait until my loan is paid off so I don’t have to deal with them anymore.
When depositing a check on a local bank, via the app, and before the cutoff, GECU places a two day hold, which starts the NEXT business day. Even the first $100 is not available. Ridiculous.
I love this new app - a definite improvement to the last one! It’s much easier to use and navigate. I like that I can manage my purchase rewards in the app, too.
This new app is great. I really like how the iPad screen shows my accounts and details on separate panes, making it very easy to navigate. Touch ID login is fantastic! I wish all banking apps had that.
Sometimes it works sometimes it dont this is what wee have to look forward to with banking wanting to go digital. And they wonder why ppl are pushing ti keep physical currency around
Won’t let me log in….said due to status of account …there are no issues with my account only your app. Trying to reach someone is awful I’ve been waiting over a half hour already!
Three times using mobile deposit the check was accepted on the app. The next day it was rejected. Don’t tell me it was my error in the photo the account number and signature and mobile deposit only could clearly be read. This issue causes me stress!
^^ I think the title says enough Won’t let me transfer money between accounts, always won’t show my accounts because it ‘can’t be displayed, try again later’ Get it together...
