Since the update to new system it is more than frustrating to try to tag and name transactions to keep up with my budget. The old system was so much more easier. Wishing we could go back to old system.
I’ve been a GUCU member for years. I’ve always had a good experience with customer service and loved the way the bill pay system was set up. But recently we had an unauthorized payment go through on our bank card. We attempted to dispute the charge with GUCU, so the card was automatically cut off from use. That was fine but GUCU wanted us to visit a branch to have a new card sent. We moved out of Georgia over 10 years ago and have never needed to visit a branch in that time. We never before had an issue with doing things either online or over the phone and this should have been no big deal either. Just send us a new card, you’ve done it before. And now with this new app and system upgrade, the bill payment system is nowhere near as user friendly as before. I don’t mind things changing for advancement, but change needs to be to better a product, not make me take extra steps to get things done. I’m very dissatisfied in GUCU recently. Before these past two months I had nothing but rave reviews.
Hope this is not the final product because it leaves much to be desired
Just downloaded the new app and went through the registration and log in process. To say I’m underwhelmed is an understatement. I sincerely hope this app is in the initial stages of development… and will soon add a more user friendly dashboard (being given the option to rename accounts would be great- I have 8 open accounts with this Credit Union and the way my dashboard looks know I’m trying to figure out which is which. Also your Organize accounts feature is not working, the option to hide accounts from your dashboard to streamline your dashboard when you first log in is not an option anymore… and this is where I logged out bc I was so annoyed. Please get your developers working on making this app - it would be greatly appreciated.
A lot of great improvements over the previous version. One thing needs to be fixed, and not a big deal, is the description of the transaction entries is too long and has a lot of useless data in the summary view. Only when I tap on the transaction at I able to read enough that I know what the transaction was. If the description was rearranged, or maybe remove useless data, I could more easily scan through transactions to look for fraud or whatnot. Otherwise, great job!!
I found it to be very difficult and confusing to get registered and the app installed. This was a three day process with many hours each day. I spoke with numerous staff members without success. Experienced one staff member to refer me to someone else with the promise of a call back which I have never received. It is now five days after startup and bill pay is still not working. Specifically, I cannot schedule a payment on the requested date. I used the one star rating because that is the lowest rating available. Given a choice, the rating would be lower. This should have been operational before it was launched.
I use zelle and work with several banks it is harder to put money in this account and to make payments on my cars here than any of the other accounts save Wells Fargo. B of A being the simplest followed by Truist, Synovus and then regions based on ease of use. Just wanted a smooth way to get money here to make these car payments but short of simply keeping 5000 here at all times it is simply difficult to get deposits in. Whether by check or zelle or any attempt to get money here quickly is very difficult.
The new online banking is at its worse. It seems GUCU changes the system every year. #1, it’s ridiculous how often it changes, #2 this system is by far better as a user. Bill pay is very unfriendly. The totals don’t add up when you’re finished to see how much you’re actually spending with using a personal calculator. Paying one bill at at time, confirming, then going back, is a lot of unnecessary work. The system needs serious improvement. Hard to believe this system would be approved by anyone.
The new app is awful! What was wrong with the one we had??!! Seriously thinking of changing banks - I’ve been with this credit union since I began teaching in the 70’s but lately things have gotten harder to manage. Large checks from our family business take weeks to clear - but my brother can deposit his check - identical to ours and it clears the next day at Truist. I’ve always been a fan of credit unions but lately the cons have been out weighing the pros!
I wish you would show payment history for specific bills for each bill pay. Then I will know right away if I have already scheduled a payment and compare past payments
When stuff is pending half of it deducts from your oavailable balance and the half doesn’t so you don’t know what’s been subtracted and before after each transaction it would show you the amount after the purchase I your account which is gone. I also don’t like that you have to scroll to see each account instead of having it all on one page. Overall it’s not as good as the old app.
App is ok although I likes how the last one looked more like a check register. It would give amount taken out with a balance. Also I liked seeing when my paycheck was pending. Doesn’t show anymore
The new interface is better and logging in is much simplistic process. However it’s very confusing/frustrating that all transactions for all accounts are listed on one compiled list on the dashboard. It would make more sense to have separate transactions lists for each account.
Well, you might’ve thought your update was cute but since I don’t have an iOS 16 or above I can no longer use my mobile app. show thanks for nothing. I’m sure it was as unnecessary as every other software update that I’ve had to experience over the past couple years. you only get one star since I can’t put in any negative numbers. Again your program is not allowing me to be accurate nor really interact with it.
Updated about a week ago and now the app doesn’t include pending transactions in the overall account balance on the main screen anymore so it may cause you to think you have more money than you actually have. You have to click on transactions to see what pending and then subtract what’s pending from the balance displayed. Really annoying! Fix this please!
I hope they buy everyone a new phone that can support this new update very frustrating to force your clients who keep there money in your bank to spend there money on a new phone in order to get online access to there money if I find out they have stock in apple I will definitely be change if banks very annoying and talk about getting scammed into buying a new apple product
I have spent over an hour trying to reset my password…. Still working on it! Very frustrating. Maybe user error, but I’m not exactly new to online banking. Just saying.
I am enjoying the new features and all the accesses it offer to enter all my account. However, I have not figure out how to download the app. It seems I have to enter it by the Apple app 🙃.
The new update to the app has changed for the worse. I can no longer see the external accounts that I had linked to GUCU making transfers a thing of the past. Also the available balance is no longer real time. It takes days before an amount is debited from the account so what I’m looking at as “available” balance is really not what’s available.
The precious app allowed me to *quickly* glance at my checking account and scroll my activity so that I could glean, “OK. That’s cleared, cleared. Wait, why isn’t this listed-let me check that out, oh. That’s processing…” On the new app, you see a long list of “withdrawn, withdrawn, withdrawn” and an amount. You have to actually tap on each thing to see where that dollar amount was spent. It seems a clumsy, fumbly way to set things up.
Cannot view/ print on your site “doesn’t support” older computers. It would be VERY helpful for me to have. I could keep much better tracking and flow of my expenditures. I find it pretty ridiculous that I need a newer computer to access this or why you bought a program that just assumes people have them.
I don’t like the dark background; wish there was an option to change and make it light. I’m also disappointed that with all the changes dropping my already linked accounts that GUCU has not added Zelle. I will not be using this app as often as I used the old app; I will use my DCCU app for more things now because of better functionality and it’s easier to look at; plus, DCCU has Zelle.
The new app is difficult to use and does not have all of my bills that I was paying from the old app. It does not show what I have paid like the other app. My computer can’t even open it because it doesn’t have the news software update. I am not happy with this whole change and we are looking to possibly change bank.
Like the new version a lot. Only problem is when making a deposit I had made once maybe twice doesn’t show up in the account. It’s been almost 5 days. Can’t do anything except play the waiting game.
Never have I ever heard a financial institute make it mandatory for an account holder to HAVE TO upgrade his/her phone in order to access one’s own money. How dare you! It’s time to leave Georgia United Credit Union. I won’t be forced to buy a new phone, which apparently this institution has stock in. I’ll just move my resources to another financial establishment.
I liked the overall layout and flow of the original app much better. I much prefer seeing the account total with every purchase in the checking account. I don’t know if anything is pending or not. This is about to make me go back to balancing an actual checkbook. Not happy.
Honestly the previous app was so much better. Half of the available options on this app just opens their website, then gives an error that "the cookie token is invalid" - because their programming is just that pathetic. I've used other apps from major banks before and they were lightyears better than this. GUCU needs to hire competent UI/UX developers.
I’ll tried to many times to do a deposit with this app and it’s doesn’t work at all, my wife have different credit union and she doesn’t have any issues to doing a deposit with their app. They have to make this application more “friendly” at the time to do any checks deposit.
I wish banking apps would let you test run their apps to see if they are decent quality. I’ve had many regional banks have very poor banking apps with clunky or nonfunctional features before. Hope to see sample “demo” accounts or screenshots from the app on use.
Hello your pay 2 pay takes wayyyy too long and in no way resembles the ease of immediate payments. Large checks take up two weeks to clear. This is terrifying please try harder to remove these obstacles
I liked the previous format better. I was able to see my balance immediately as well as all accounts. In this new format, I can only see one account at a time.
The app font and layout is different throughout the app after the most recent update. The font and layout on the homepage is large enough to view for all. Hows, when you go to details for each account, it switches to a much smaller front size.
I do not like any of the “new” features and none of the things I used work. Bill pay does not work, the transactions are much slower and I cannot see all my accounts easily. This has been the worst “update”. If the other version worked I would 100% throw this one in the “trash “.
This last update is not user friendly at all. Before you could type in a certain amount or name of a transaction into the search bar and it would pull up every transaction in that amount. This new update is so rigid. Ugggh!
You can’t search for dates and timeframes of previous transactions. It doesn’t refresh each log in. Some items won’t load, hazard signs on some features not sure what that means, and it’s not easy to transfer funds. Definitely dropped the ball with this update!
This app is awful its harder to see your balances when you have multiple accounts, difficult to tell what account is what. Complete down grade fron the previous app. In response to the developer, if i supplied this level of incompetence and pure trash to the company I develop for I would be on the street!!
Security is great but this new app is not user friendly. Navigating is terrible. I don’t know who got together and thought this was a good idea. Loved the set up of the old app. And it forces my family’s information on my dashboard and not mine. No matter how many times I redo the order. Ugh leave things alone sometimes…
You made something so simple so complicated. I have no idea what each transaction is unless I stare at it for moments and even then a portion of the information is cut out. Way to go. Probably going to take my money elsewhere if you don’t figure something out soon.
