I would like to take a minute and just say how grateful I am for the Greer branch of the Greenville Federal Credit Union. From the first person you meet as you come in at the main customer service kiosk, to the tellers, branch officers and managers, ALL do a tremendous job, of making me and my family feel a part of their family. Even my children love going there because of the kindness and generosity shown to them. I recommend this branch and institution to anyone looking for a place that cares about you as a person, and wants to help you reach your financial goals in life.
I’ve not been happy with this “core conversion.” We’ve been with this credit union for over 20 years, but with this new system I’m ready to change banks. We were told months ahead to schedule any online payments before week of conversion, and that if they were scheduled ahead of time they would go through as usual during the changeover. Well, they didn’t go through and I had late fees on two of my utilities as well as a “cutoff” notification! I then tried to call and was on hold for over twenty minutes before hanging up. Our account transactions are now shown mixed with our daughters account, and there does not seem to be any way to change the name of existing accounts on the dashboard. There is not much I like about this new system. I’m giving it another month and then may be pulling our accounts.
This is the most cumbersome excuse for a banking software upgrade that I have ever seen. The previous version was a substantial improvement over what we are now required to use. There is no access to history or quick view access to observe all balances at a single click. This was a terrible mistake and many members may find another credit union that does not have such a rediculous, cumbersome platform. Victor Montgomery
Making the changeover to the new system was easy. The staff is always extremely courteous, you are greeted warmly and they are always ready to answer any question you might have. I highly recommend them to my friends and neighbors.
This app is ok for a banking app. The notifications are slow (my old bank was instant and this was 5 Years ago). Also the search is awful. You should just be able to enter a dollar amount to find a transaction (like every other search engine in the world). Instead this is the only banking app that only searches by letters (and it doesn't even do that we'll). Are you kidding??!! You do know that 99% of all transactions are numeric right? Ugh.
I have enjoyed banking at GFCU For many years! The only problem I have had is during computer program changes. It seems that is straightened out. The employees are always very efficient and courteous. I have recommended banking at GFCU Tom and friends and family, resulting in my son changing his banking to yours.
My wife and I wanted to sign up for a local bank to help support the community and the people have been so kind! The app is so easy and user-friendly. Literally no complaints!
Something’s going on with the app. It’s not been updating, just giving me error messages. I was almost unable to pay my rent because I didn’t know how much money was actually available. Normally this a good app, but this isn’t gonna work for me.
After the update yesterday, I can no longer access my bank account. It just says there was an error loading and won’t show me anything. Please fix this. I need to access my bank account.
I absolutely hate the new system. The old system updated in real time and this one takes days. I never trust my available balance anymore because it’s always wrong. God forbid you have transactions on the weekend or evenings because nothing posts until the following business day. Please go back to real time transaction posting.
Good bank, just wish there was a better alternative in the area
If you ever have issues after 3pm, good luck. As someone that works night shifts, I’m generally only up when they’re closed so I can never get any help. Yall seriously need to get 24/7 service, your a FCU for pete sake
I love the GFCU but y’all need to return Zelle to the app. Not sure when it happened, maybe a few months ago but Zelle is no longer available on the app. Or at least on mine. Why?
GFCU helped me when I needed service for my vehicle and the warranty company wouldn't cover the cost, even though it started in the manual. They helped me cancel the warranty and made sure $1250 reimbursed.
Continuing to have problems with the new system. Still can’t access my bill pay after several days. This new platform has been in place for over a month and still having problems Not impressed
I'm in app to pay my credit keep saying I have to use laptop that's not make sense. Or try pay with another bank acct to here it's so complicated. Or pay on phone they are close and can't pay on phone at 7:30 pm are you kidding me?!
I don’t care for the new app. I can’t tell what account I’m making mobile deposits into. Both the desktop and mobile app is not as user friendly as the older version.
This app and the upgrades made are terrible. I can’t organize stuff. All the functions of bill pay don’t work. There is no clear way to see when bills are due. You can’t see anything before March 1st. Please go back to the other app.
GFCU has slid violently down hill in the last three years. The new “updated” app is a convoluted mess compared to the older app which was straightforward and effective. You now need to wade threw several screens to accomplish what you were once able to do in a single click.

Requires you to agree to “Binding Arbitration” which means they can steal your money and you can’t take them to a real court, only a fake court where GFCU pays the fake judge so they always win.
Before the change , all the accounts (wife, daughter, etc) where saved ....... now I have to call and get a routing number, then some other number , then some kinda code.......... I end up just meeting them at the bank and withdraw money and give it to them...... big old pain
