Great foundation, plagued by bugs (ex: 6.4.2 can’t login)
In its prior incarnation as YourPorter, this was one of the best mobile-first channel managers for STRs. Unfortunately post-acquisition by Guesty the product has failed to stay updated, leaving major flaws in the product that cause core functionality like the booking calendar to fail to load properly, message templates to remain too small to use, and (as of the 6.2.0 update) even the message from their development team to fail to load on launch. Whatever message or update the team had to share is lost in the same bugs and errors as the rest of the product. To the product team: please consider investing as much money into the continued development of the product as you spent acquiring it and attempting to extract additional revenue through things like up selling short term rental insurance.

Solid but room for improvement
Overall I would recommend this tool to others. It has simplified my multiple calendars across multiple properties and booking platforms. I also really love the unified messaging and the financial reporting. Customer service is not bad. I see in other reviews that people have been unhappy with it but for the most part they are responsive over email to me. The frustrating things for me are some of the glitches I run into but they are not showstoppers. Sometimes there is a bug where I cannot scroll up in message threads and there is another bug where you get stuck on certain application pages because the navigation back arrow at the top disappears, but the workaround is just restarting the app so it’s not a showstopper. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I love the automated messaging feature. Saves me so much time!

Missing some things
The app is overall helpful however it’s a little slow in loading info. Another huge issue for me is that I’m unable to customize the amenities accurately. It doesn’t match up to Airbnb very well. For example, I do not offer a dedicated workspace in the home however it shows up as I do on Airbnb. This happens with several other listed amenities. Unfortunately I can’t make the changes manually on Airbnb because I’m synced with Guesty. Accuracy of listing is so important. Please fix ASAP or I may have to consider using another app. Another suggestion I have is for users to be able to include emojis in listing descriptions. I don’t understand why that’s not allowed when Airbnb clearly allows it. I see it in several listings.

Not quite sold yet
We were looking for an intuitive platform toy manage our Airbnb. This has a lot of functionality in that but lacks in a few areas. We love the income reports and scheduled messages. The inability to reach customer service immediately is frustrating as that is necessary at time when running a short term rental. Syncing the calendars when we added another listing cost us hundreds of dollars because dates opened up at a lower price when a previous guest cancelled. This could have been avoided if we were able to talk with someone when setting it up. We will try for a little longer but can’t say this will be our forever platform management app.

Highly recommend
I usually use the web interface but the Moble app is great too. I've used Guesty for hosts for well over two years and I couldn't imagine working without it. My business runs on autopilot now that I've set up all the guest messaging. Their direct booking platform works wonders. Also little things like their automated guest forms come in handy when I need to manually run a security deposit from booking dot com. Anytime I had a problem their support team always comes through and finds a way to fix it. Highly recommended.

Yourporter app is the best!
I manage ten short term rental units on Airbnb for my investment portfolio. That would be impossible without a management system. YourPorter was the third one I tried and the one I stayed with. After spending countless hours trying to use other systems and being frustrated I found YourPorter while searching for easier alternatives. After I signed up I was up and operating in a short time from my phone. Something I had not accomplished after a lot of trying with the other two systems I found this app to be very easy to use and set up plus very price friendly. You should not need to pay for set up, it should be easy enough to do yourself and YourPorter is that easy. Overall I would say start here and you will not be sorry. They are improving all the time and they keep it’s simple use as a priority. After five years of hosting several thousand room nights per year I am a big fan of this app.

Customer Service is lacking
I like system enough but it has its flaws. One of them being integration with VRBO’s calendar can’t completely match up with how far out you want people to be able to book. Another issue is the messages for cleaning crew aren’t clear and the wording is confusing. The real problem with the App comes with the customer service or lack there of. Eva and Emily B. act more like they are serving you fries at a fast food chain as opposed to helping you troubleshoot an app for you business.

Buggy product, worse business
Guesty’s app has an antiquated, clunky interface that’s hard to use and constantly needs to be refreshed because screens often don’t load correctly. Messaging, one of the most important tools, is particularly difficult to use on a phone, and very buggy. They haven’t really made any improvements to the app in the year that I’ve been using it. Even worse, they had a bug in their software that caused me to lose $2500 in Vrbo revenue. They completely admitted to it, yet refused to reimburse me, because apparently they don’t actually stand by their product. A subscription costs hundreds of dollars a year but the product has now cost me thousands. I would not recommend Guest to any host.

It will cost you your reputation with guests
I warn anybody considering Guesty to look elsewhere. I happily used Your Porter before Guesty purchased it. After the purchase everything fell apart. First the app turned super glitchy. The I started getting double bookings. Of which, each one I had to personally call the guest and ask them to cancel. I have now had 7 double bookings, 3 in the past 24 hours. The only support I have received is “we are looking into it”. I have received zero calls to help resolve this issue. The worst thing I can do as a host is cancel a guest, I have had to do this 7 times because of this terrible app. This has harmed my business more than it has helped, AND I had to pay them for it. It’s not fully functioning yet
I like what this channel manager does, but it’s not fully functioning yet and they are charging a high price for a not fully functioning website. I hate how slow it scrolls when I’m trying to do something, there are glitches that are frustrating. And it doesn’t seem like there is a way for me to manage and change prices on Houfy from Guesty. For that reason I went with another channel manager platform because I couldn’t accomplish what I wanted to do.

Guesty is Great, App is Good
I like Guesty, as I’ve been using it for almost a year. It has the features I need, and the pricing is reasonable. I like the calendar sync, the automated messaging platform, and the customer service has been good. I use the web platform more than the app. The app isn’t bad, it can just be a bit sluggish sometimes and with what I’m doing, I prefer to use desktop interface on the web. Maybe just a personal preference, but Guesty as a platform is solid.

The app has unacceptable bugs!!! Please fix it ASAP!!!
From 31st of December the app doesn’t probably work and allows double bookings to happen when the calendar is blocked and the dates aren’t available. This course a lot of issues with a Airbnb and penalties for host cancellations. Please fix it ASAP. Also in the listings where I have a instant book on it’s been turned off by the app and in some of the listings vice versa.

Bugggggggggy
This app is awful. It’s basically just a skinned version of their website, which is also awful. Buggy buggy buggy. Often doesn’t allow you to navigate a page, forcing an app restart and return to your task. When typing out new messages to add as templates, app will stop scrolling with the text, if you try to back up and come forward to resolve, it deletes your message. Premium pricing for god awful functionality. Don’t even get me started on their lack of support. I’ve raised several tickets about the Google analytics not embedding properly through their direct booking website builder, they seemingly don’t understand that Google has retired the old UA style trackers and have moved to the new GA4… their site builder does not accept the new tags and even when forced in various ways, they simply don’t track because they are placed in the incorrect location within the HTML. Steer clear, moving to a new PMS is expensive.

Excellent features, but a couple bugs
Overall, Guesty for Hosts is an excellent product that is easy to use and easily integrates with major booking platforms. It even helps you set up direct booking sites. My only complaint is that it has some bugs in the user interface and sometimes the app takes a while to load. In general I recommend this product!

A well thought out app
I had used other apps to manage my Airbnb listings and this is the best one by far. What I like best is that all messages go through Airbnb messaging system so my response rate score is now perfect. I especially like their auto response when I get an inquiry or booking. I never worry if I have failed to respond within 30 minutes because this app says 100% reliable for me.

Scammy Damage protection charges
It’s impossible to reach anyone by phone for this company. I wish I would not have picked this vendor. Automated messaging is great. Most of the other features are not. I keep having to contact over missing reservations. I received another charge for damage protection after cancellation and I never received a refund for the previous charges. A scammy offer from Guesty to swindle hosts for services that are included with most booking sites. They offer a website builder but cannot offer a protection plan for any direct bookings. Not something I’d recommend.

Worts ever
A lot of stuff just simply doesn’t work, Lack of customer service? The fact that they have phone costumer support is the worse ever, the only way to communicate is via email which you usually have to wait 3 days for response, the entire platform just fails none stop. Once the costumer support team gets able to get to your ticket they just pass on to someone else and no body does anything. I waited over a month a bug on there end to be fix and they haven’t yet.

The worst scam I have ever gotten into. This company’s software glitches so much making you loose not only precious time but money! They also say they can’t do anything about the issue. The customer service part like everyone else says is the absolute worst thing in existence I ever experienced in a company. For urgent issues they take days to respond and don’t provide help at all! This company is an entire joke. Monkeys seem to be handling the job at this point. There are way better softwares out there. STAY AWAY!!!!!

So glitchy. Would be great if it worked without glitches.
Very often this app signs you out, freezes, glitches, stops sending notifications randomly for days at a time (no change in settings). Tech support is rarely able to help with a solution to these. I constantly have to close and restart app, delete it and reinstall. This would be a time saver app if it worked most the time, but it glitches often enough to be more frustrating than time saving.

Decent app with poor upgrades
Overall the app works decently well. My biggest problem is that they have rolled out new interfaces with Airbnb that do not work. Also as far as product improvements expect very little. The app has barely changed in the year that I have been using it. The income reports are archaic and don’t make sense and the user interface is from the 80’s.

Save me hours of time!
I love the automated messages and auto review function. It saves me at least 2 hours of time every week. It also give me peace of mind that I don’t be have keep track of reviewing each guests (unless they are really bad!) this feature along worth the fee!! I highly recommend this app.

Great product
We have only been using YourPorter for a week now, but so far it’s been great. Our calendars are syncing seamlessly, messages are being sent to all our guests and the auto-review feature is great. As we go forward and learn about more features with this app I’m sure it will get even better!

Will not allow me to set up an account
I downloaded the App on my cel phone & iPad & it wants me to sign in to an account (which I do not have because I just downloaded the app). It did not give an option to create an account. In order to establish a new account I had to visit the website to set it up. Need to add setup options to app.

Top Notch to Manage STR
I’ve been using this app for over 3 years to handle over 95% of my guest communications, schedule my cleaners, manage my calendars, handle direct bookings, review my guests & lots more all in one place. Very affordable to use and top notch customer service if a very rare issue with app comes up.

Really wish they would fix the bugs
It’s hard to get anything done when the typing screen covers up the whole page including the text that you’re trying to type on. It’s a good platform but all the bugs make it very difficult to use.

Double booking
The app failed to properly sync our VRBO booking, which led to a double booking, and we did not realize it until the day off. We put them in a nice hotel, which cost us $400, hoping for a good review. There have been several issues with managing VRBO with this service, this one being the worst. They get one more chance or changing to a different manager. FIX IT! It isn't a free service, and there are other options.

Porter App - Easily manages my Airbnb
The Porter app has been instrumental in raising my Airbnb rankings. The auto templates have really come in handy. User friendly interface and great review templates are customizable and you can set them up to trigger at certain times during and after their stay. I love it!

This app is a nightmare
First of all : when you place your email and password, they don’t recognize the password. Then they keep mentioning that they will email you a reset link and they don’t !!!! Secondly : Then after this your Airbnb is locked ! You can not find a phone number or a human . I can’t get my Airbnb to work because now it’s controlled by this crazy app that I don’t have access to 😫! This is a definition of nightmare !

This app is such a time saver. My “thanks for booking” and my pre-arrival messages are all automated, so I don’t have to remember to send them. Worth it for that alone (I only have one listing so I only use the automated messaging feature). Highly recommended!

Time Saver
I recommend Guesty for Hosts for any rental owner. It makes managing rentals super convenient, especially the automated messaging aspect. I also like that all my reservations from Airbnb and Vrbo are in one place. Definitely recommend!

Terrible app, terrible customer service
Guesty is allowing double booking by not recognizing VRBO bookings as confirmed. The whole point of me using it is to sync my airbnb and vrbo calendars. This is an epic fail to fulfill a key function by Guesty. I’ve reported the issue to support with no resolution for several days now. I’ve been double booked and had to pay cancellation fees as a result. It’s a useless app and service. THERE IS NO WAY TO SPEAK WITH ANYONE IN SUPPORT AND THEIR EMAIL RESPONSES ARE EXTREMELY SLOW AND NOT HELPFUL.

Wanted to love it, customer service not good
Guesty was working fine for me for the first two months. Now, the calendars not syncing up property and it’s taking Guesty customer service over 5 business days to even get back to me about it. This is valuable time where I can lose money and guests. I don’t see myself keeping this much longer.

Stay away from this dumpster fire
Every since your porter was bought by guesty it has been on a steady decline. In recent months that decline has gotten significantly worse. Customer support has become nonexistent. Nothing in the app works as it should. Truly a shame this used to be the best app to manage multiple channels. Not anymore.

Needs work
Overall a great idea but the app. Is not reliable. Constantly having to delete and redownload and still not all the features work. There is no one to call for help and no one replies to support messages so if you want to throw your money at something that might work to run your business this is the app for you.

Slow
App does what I need it too but iCals don’t always work which is a big pain. Customer service takes days to get back with you. App is very slow and doesn’t load sometimes. A lot of room for improvement and I’m in too deep to try a different company.

Fix the bugs!

Glitchy. Push notifications don’t work.
Push notifications don’t work. When I tell customer service, it takes them 48 hours to tell me ‘oh that’s strange’. I’ve been trying to schedule a demo call with them for 3 weeks now. Every time I have the demo, they cancel TEN minutes before saying they ‘got held up’. It’s a joke.
