Update: It’s now been almost four months that I’ve used hampr and it’s continued to be great!!!! I’ve gotten about 6 or 7 different “washrs” now and they’ve all been so sweet, I have a few favorited, and a lot of them brought my clothes back earlier than expected. One lady even leaves a little thank you card on top to say she appreciates my business! I’ve forgotten to put my bags out by the time they arrived a few times and they’ve always called or texted and gave me a few minutes to hurry and bring them out. Seems like theres a really good group of people hired to wash clothes here because hampr is a local company in Louisiana, and since my washer and dryer both died from a power surge this service has been a godsend!!!!
I tried twice to have my laundry done. The first day my order was never accepted. The second day it was accepted, but the person never came to pick it up. Customer service reached out, but didn’t offer any real solutions. They told me they contacted the “washer” and the washer would reach out soon to tell me their ETA. That never happened. I have chronic pain which that makes doing laundry very difficult. I saved up money specifically to use this service and planned ahead to have my laundry washed when needed. 2 days later it is still dirty and I have no clean sheets for my bed. I have medical testing which will be a long appointment tomorrow and I will need to rest after and now I do not have my laundry done after hours of waiting. I see lots of positive reviews, but my experience was negative. Customer service did refund me (fortunately) but this is a warning. If you are considering this service and you really NEED it, this may not be your best option. They don’t seem to take it very seriously, so I guess this is more of “nice to have” than something you can rely on.
I wanted to write a comparison review of Sudshare and Hampr since the former is more popular, but in my opinion, is not nearly as high quality as Hampr. The interface of Hampr allows you to customize each load based on temp/soil level/etc and standardizes bag sizes using 13 gal kitchen bags. Makes a lot more sense for the user and I’d imagine makes the experience more standard for washers. There is also no pre authorization of your payment method since the load cost is fixed, so you know exactly what you’ll be paying up front. I definitely recommend this app over Sudshare! I started a yearly membership and am awaiting my hamper delivery but definitely foresee continued use in the future.
I recently went back to work after being a stay at home for 3 years. Being so out-of-rhythm with this new schedule has definitely shown in my lack of ability to keep up with the mountains of household chores that seemingly pile up over night. Thankfully, hampr to the rescue! This has been one thing I’m now willing to “splurge” on so that I can keep a bit of weight off my shoulders and spend more time with my 3 kids. Every washr I’ve gotten has been great, but I have one favorite that always goes above and beyond for me. This is so worth it for my family!
I work 2 jobs, hours ranging from 10-24 hrs at a time. I starting using this app because out of convenience. I have been using them for a while now, over 8 months. I paid for the premium membership and had my clothes picked up pretty much biweekly, always followed their rules and never over stuffed my bags. I tried to report a Washr (same related washer who claimed majority of my orders) for stealing my clothes and they said they don’t believe me. I have over $300 worth of my belongings missing and they haven’t reimbursed me. It took 3 weeks for a manager to even reach out to me. And once they did reach out, they said I was lying argued that my belongings weren’t stolen at all. Their reimbursement policy states if you claim your missing items within a certain time you’ll be able to get the money back. ITS A LIE. Daniel is rude, dismissive and the reason for this rating.
I used Hampr for a while. The concept is great. When I think about how often I pay a fee for someone else to cook my food, a chore I actually enjoy, it got me wondering why I don’t save my money and cook, and pay people to do the chores I don’t like. The thing I didn’t like with Hampr was that the folding was inconsistent. They give their Washr’s guidelines, but there’s varying interpretation of those guidelines. Plus I have a preferred way of folding certain things to fit neatly in my closet. I now have someone I pay to do my laundry consistently, and the way I’ve requested. The downside is I work only on her schedule. So if she’s sick or goes on vacation, I have to work around that. But it’s worth it because I can make special requests for what I want.
There’s no better relief after having a super stressful day at work than coming home and having ALL of my laundry clean and so beautifully folded! The piles of laundry in the corner of our room are GONE! I just receive my order, hang up the clothes I asked my washr to hang up, and put the rest of my folded clothes into our dressers! I went from spending an entire afternoon sorting and folding, to the seconds it takes for me to put my hampr order away. I was skeptical using the service at first. I don’t have kids and it felt like too much of a luxury to pay for… I WAS WRONG. Call it self care ❤️
Legit have tried out other laundry services and this one has exceeded my expectations!! You can choose what time to pick up and drop off, they provide their own detergent or you can use your own, and they are super professional and actually care about your clothes!! Super big help since theres no laundry facilities in my apartment complex and the fact my seasonal depression kicking in I for sure wasnt going to do any laundry. Make sure you give them a big tip for dealing with your dirty laundry!!!!
First off, let me start by saying that the cost of this app is absolutely ridiculous. You’ll be paying upwards of $40 for an annual membership with an additional $10-15 per load, not including shipping. Why on earth would anyone need a ‘membership’ if they are still paying full price for each service? Secondly, Washrs are few and far between; it’s very hard to get someone to pick up and wash your load, yet you are given no price reductions on your membership. Lastly, the QUALITY is not to be believed. One load was brought back wrinkled and smelled horrible. For the amount of money I’ve spent on this app I am so incredibly disappointed. Please, SAVE YOUR MONEY and do not download this app! Go to a local laundromat or invest in a washing and dryer. Genius concept, horrible execution.
I’m a first time mom and I have a full-time job. Laundry is my most tedious and hated chore. Hampr has truly been a life saver. It’s the easiest thing and takes such a load off my back! I can place my order, get them picked up and brought back clean, folded and in 24hours! It gives me such a relief for my hectic schedule and I get to spend more time with my family. It’s truly just 1 less thing I have to worry about and I’m grateful that the 1 chore I hate the most I don’t have to do anymore.
Y’all! I live a busy lifestyle, as I’m sure most of you do, too, so with the help of Hampr, I’m able to spend more time with family instead of time doing laundry. It takes the stress off of my plate, our clothes come back smelling nice, folded and organized! You can even favorite your washer of choice which makes the service consistent and I LOVE THAT! It’s worth the money, and there are often codes which make it even more affordable!
Over this past weekend I sent in three bundles of laundry to wash as I normally do. The Washr was new so I gave her grace for missing the two hour pickup window. Pretty sure the return was on time though. Only one problem - I got a load of someone else’s laundry and was missing one of mine… Basically 90% of my tshirts, underwear and socks. The Support Team launched an immediate investigation to track down my items and kept in constant contact with me with updates… Ok I may have pestered them a little. In the end, they located my things and returned them to me as well as returned the other customer’s items to them. How many other businesses can you say go that kind of extra mile for customers? None that I know of. Great job Ladies!
Unfortunately, you can only place order via the app so if the app isn’t working, you have to wait to schedule - which means you have to remember to check back until it works. (And this is even after uninstalling and reinstalling.) Also, they have a complicated billing system that’s questionable and hard to trust. I had duplicate charges made to my debit card for an order I didn’t make but they don’t show anything on their end. But after seeing what my account documented on their end, I saw inconsistent charges, incomplete charges, and partial refund charges without details. If I can’t rely on the tech or billing, I can’t waste my money. Definitely hold off on ordering the membership with bags until you know you like them, because you can’t get a refund if you’re unhappy with their services. They wouldn’t give me a refund despite the problems with charges they couldn’t account for. BUT after I cancelled, they offered me a $20 credit if I came back… ok.
They do a better job than the local dry cleaner for the clothes that just need to be laundered . I have a lady who is favored and she has been doing my orders since I started and she always does a great job. It’s worth the money for a busy household. I will continue to use them . They even hang the clothes up if you provide the hangers and instructions on what to hang up. Very customer friendly
I am completely obsessed with how much of a weight this app has helped take off my shoulders. Super simple to place an order with them of my unwashed clothes & receive them 24 hours later washed & folded. I’m an expecting mom & can’t imagine how much of a help it’ll be when baby gets here. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!!!!
I used hampr when my washer broke and it was a great experience. The people who provided service were always very nice and helpful and I always felt like my clothes were in good hands. They even took instructions for garment care and made sure everything was done well. Great experience overall and highly recommend.
We love Hampr. We’ve had the same washer every time and she goes above and beyond every time. This saves me time right now as our apartments don’t have laundry available to us. I have a whole day gained now that I don’t have to go to the laundromat. Looking forward to many more months of great service!
The service is amazing. Efficient, high quality and effortless. On top of that, the customer service for Hampr is outstanding. Easier to get someone live via chat and the company goes above and beyond to put the customer first. Great experience overall! Trish is extra amazing!
I just started back to work after maternity leave and was starting to get behind at home. I thought to try this app and it was amazing. It helps people in a pinch and perhaps those with disabilities, while giving locals the opportunity for a side hustle.
The service from Hampr and the way it works is great. The app, not so much. The “presets” settings does not work at all. Hanging preferences and dryer sheet usage is not saved. Every time you modify an existing preset, it saves a new one by sticking “modified” at the end. Now I have like 30 presets and none actually have what I want saved in the them. Has anyone tested this? Also, simply modifying a load in an order is annoying. When you try to “update” the load and you scroll down it hasn’t detected an input yet, so when you tap it scrolls you back up. VERY ANNOYING. Also, if you modify a load it moves the load to the bottom of the load list. If you need someone to test your app and come up with a long list of bugs, let me know.
I worked for Hampr as a Washr. I had 5 stars and was frequently “favorited” by clients. Today, I received a complaint that the clothes returned had a “strong urine odor.” This is literally impossible as I kept everything completely separated and in a different room. They just didn’t want to pay for their laundry. And Hampr refused to pay me for hours worth of work. This was my FIRST (and obviously ridiculous) complaint. They don’t care at all about their employees and there is no quality control of customers.
Do not download this app or even bother checking out its service. First off expensive, but to get to their pricing, you must supply an email. Despite deleting app and unsubscribing from their annoying emails, the emails keep coming. They are operating a sophisticated email marketing tools. They ignore your request to unsubscribe, they can still penetrate Outlook’s Block Sender tool and when you attempt to find owner of the website, they are hidden. Save yourself the headache of being bombarded by this lousy company. F
If it was a good day, my laundry order would be claimed. If it was bad day, no one claimed my orders ever. It is exhausting to wait or depend someone to do my laundry before I know how I could set my weekend schedule with 2 kids. I am rather have a laundry line up planning out than keep waiting and checking my app or text to see if anyone is claiming or accepting my orders or not…. It is disappointing to pay membership and it is reliable when I need.
As a mom of 3 boys, laundry is an every day chore! Finding Hampr has given me the opportunity to shift my focus to my children and spending time with them, rather than telling them “go play” while I fold clothes. And I must say, they fold better than I do! Lol I LOVE this company, and will forever be grateful!!!
I have used the Hampr app for a year and have always been pleased with their services. I don’t have a washer and dryer and live on the 2nd floor of an apartment complex, so having my laundry washed, dried, folded and delivered is amazing. I wish I had found them years ago. 🫶🏻
This is a great alternative for a wife who won’t do your laundry. But on a serious note, our family uses it all the time and I would highly recommend this service.
After days of waiting for a pickup on my three loads of laundry, I’ve given up and will instead go with Happy Nest and my local laundromat. I loved this idea but unfortunately, they are just not there when you need the service. Customer service couldn’t guarantee me a pick up at all, and I was forced to cancel my membership without ever getting to try it. I live right outside Jacksonville Florida, which is a large city, if that helps anyone.
I'm disabled and unable to do my own laundry. The washrs who have worked on my orders have been excellent. They're friendly and on time and my clothes come back fresh clean and perfectly folded. Thank you Hampr!
I cannot get this app to work on my iPhone. When I tap to pick a schedule for my order the menu will not load the options. Even things like adding a phone number are nearly impossible as you tap it and the menu does not respond. The only thing I could get working was ordering Hampr containers because it was in a different screen. Very buggy
I had every intention of using this service until I saw that they were going to charge me $100 for 4 loads of laundry…..my laundry bags were not even full to be charging that much! On top of that, they expect you to separate your laundry and have them ready in separate bags with the appropriate tags. Other services that I’ve used don’t require that and they are more affordable.
Decided to try my first same day order before I went to work because I really needed it. Window was between 9:30-12.. At work I got several notices that mo one has “claimed” the order??? So my clothes sat outside for an extra 2-3 hours. On top of it they’re holding my clothes for next day even though thats not what I requested. First and last time. Beyond disappointed
Laundry is (was!) my most hated chore. So totally worth it to me to outsource this task! My laundry has always been delivered on time and so neatly folded. I look forward to completely cutting ties with my laundry machine😆
Everybody needs to download this app and use this service. Hampr is the best! A washr will come to your home and pickup your laundry and get it done and folded in 24 hours. Woo hooo!!!
I canceled the service back on march 7 even had a email stream of where I canceled. The stream even contains them offering me credit etc etc. I just replied to cancel the service and low and behold in true scammer behavior they attempted to charge my credit card. Such bogus bull!
Tried to use on a business trip in New Orleans. Had to wake up two hours early to hand over my laundry. The Washr no-showed. Kept trying to find another washer throughout the day. I’d get someone and they would cancel.
The hidden charges get you at $47 a week even if you don’t order. Second when you cancel they say it can take up to 4 weeks and you have no recourse. Don’t use this company
Do not trust this service with your clothes. My first order was taken away and never returned. Hundreds of dollars worth of clothes - gone. Awful. I wish I had never trusted them with clothes that we ever cared to wear again.
