Design is great, App is Clunky
I was really happy with the things my designer picked out. She nailed it in only 2 revisions. I bought a lot of the stuff she suggested. My only complaint was that the app is clunky to use. It’s not easy to find messages or see what you’ve rated, also needing a unique name when sending this review, etc. I would totally use the service again though.

DO NOT USE THEIR ORDER SERVICE
We were very happy with their design services and professionals. Their order service, however, was wrought with problems and inconsistencies that cost us time and money. For example 1.) we had to return a $600 coffee table. We did, and weeks later it had not been refunded despite knowing it had been received weeks before to the store. When i emailed Havenly they immediately issued a refund that i can only assume they’d been sitting on for weeks. Would we have ever gotten it had i not called?? I dont know but the fact they treated my money that way is a big “no” for me. 2.) we had two items we found for better price and immediate availability by simply googling them where the app said it was back ordered 3 1/2 months. Unacceptable. 3.) about 4 weeks after my initial order, i inquired as to when a set of chairs would arrive given they were never assigned a date or tracking info. They response was they’d been backordered and would arrive in 8 weeks. When i went to the manufacturer’s website it was in stock and available to ship in 8 weeks. So basically the order rep had forgotten to order 4 weeks prior (I had also checked then and it had been in stock the entire time) which costs us 4 weeks in which we had to pull chairs in From another room. All together the experience ordering was littered with a lack of accountability. It would have saved me time and money to simply take the design info and get the items myself.

So Happy with Havenly
Havenly has completely transformed my living space. I used the free features of the app for about a year to get inspiration and do small updates to my home. However, I couldn't find a bedroom and living room design on Pinterest or elsewhere that really felt like my own. Finally I decided to try out their paid design service. It was a very easy process and there were only a few minimal bugs, which customer support helped me through quickly. My designer, Melisa absolutely nailed a bedroom and living room design that I love, and kept a relatively low budget. Meanwhile, my friends and relatives complain that they've spent over $5000 just to get some basic interior design consulting and mood boards that they didn't even like. Havenly fully rendered my room in 3d and gave me a comprehensive shopping list. They will even purchase items for you. I wish I could give Havenly even more stars because it is one of the best app/services I've tried.

Service is great, app is terrible
I love Havenly, but this app is terrible. It is extremely slow and takes a long time to load different screens when you are trying to toggle between your design concepts and the items in the design. It will also force quit or crash during use. I find that the website is a little better but it also needs improvement with respect to loading times and user functionality. I wish there was a link to look at more pictures and reviews of the items selected by your designer. You have to go outside the Havenly platform and search for the item online. I understand that they want you to purchase the items through their app, but I don’t want to buy a piece of furniture that has a lot of negative reviews. This also takes more time, and I one of my reasons for using Havenly is to shop more efficiently. I hope they will make these improvements, because I do think Havenly is great!

The app needs so much improvement
This is my first one star app review. This app lacks almost everything. I signed up for a design board that after two weeks, once someone finally started working on my design, turned out great. However, the app is not user friendly, and doesn’t really make sense. It won’t load any of my projects on my iPad even tho I am logged in. As well as while I am shopping, if I see something that I want to find a different size in (like a rug) there is no way to select the item to see additional sizes or the link to purchase other than adding that exact size to your cart. Under “my designers” it doesn’t even have the designer that I selected to work on my project as one of the designers. I guess that I have to manually go in somehow and search designers and add certain people to my list? Why not save the designer that I selected and paid to work on my design under my designer so that I could have quick access to the ideas boards from that designer. Sigh. I will be deleting app most likely once I am finished with project.

Good idea terrible execution
I wanted to like this service. I paid to design 4 rooms and asked for an in-person designer but after weeks of waiting they hadn’t assigned one to me. I agreed to do online only just to get the ball rolling. I didn’t like most of the designs but felt pressured by my designer to give her 4 stars. I’m not sure the designer had physical access to the products she used in the design and was instead going off pictures. I purchased three items she recomended and hated the quality of two of them. Returning became a mess because Havenly was the middle man which caused delays. They have customer support phone number but no one answers the number they just refer you to their email. When I tried to return one item I was told I’d have to pay for shipping myself but because of the size the cost of shipping was 50% of the cost of the product. In addition they ask you to pay a 15% restocking fee. The other item I tried to return had a 14 day return window which I missed due to travel which isn’t really Havenly’s fault. I am currently out about $1,000 in this process plus the cost of the design services. I am keeping one rug that I don’t like that much. I’m hoping that I like the couch when it arrives but am still holding my breath because the reviews for the manufacturer (Interior Define) are pretty terrible. I was told they are under new management so going for the best.

Expensive design mistakes
I remodeled my office using a Havenly designer. She talked me into an expensive designer wallpaper ($150 per roll) and advised that I could “probably get by with 1 roll...but maybe buy 2 just to be safe?” Being clueless about wallpaper (this is why I pay a designer...) I didn’t know about pattern repeat/drop and waste. The design had a 22” drop which is huge so I lost a lot to waste. You need to line up each strip with the one before so the wall has a continuous pattern when complete. Since the pattern repeats every 22”, that means you waste the “end” of each strip so you can line up the next strip from the ceiling down. Not only did I end up needing 3 extra rolls beyond my original purchase of 2: because I purchased at different times they were different dye lots and the colors are a little off. $700 later my walls are 2 different colors. When I contacted her to complain she didn’t even apologize or acknowledge her mistake. She just told me the paper was now on sale for 30% off. Overall it was disappointing. She kept suggesting trendy but impractical furniture for an office for 40+ hour work weeks (an armless side chair instead of ergonomic desk chair, a small desk with no storage or place to hide a plethora of computer cords). While I know other designers at Havenly might be better, I wish the company had a better vetting process to make sure their designers are qualified.

Makes interior design accessible
This is such an amazing service/business idea. The Havenly Shop alone is brilliant. It rounds up furniture and decor from all the main websites across price points (from Home Depot and target to anthro and one kings lane) making finding and comparing a specific item so much easier. I purchased the consult package for my bedroom and Jodi M went above and beyond in putting room looks together. She was a dream to communicate with, pulled together really cool ideas and then also pulled in lots of different options for me to consider. I would normally be locked out price wise from interior design services and am totally clueless about home design, but this app makes design accessible. Love the service and would highly recommend!

Great Service, HORRIBLE app
I used this service to do two rooms in my home, and have had a great experience with the overall company. However, this app is terrible. 1) It logs me out every time I close the app; 2) when logging back in) there is so remember me function are quick login option; 3) the room design profile in the app is completely different from and not collaborated to the room design profile on the website. For my first room, I filled out the profile in the app. Then, I logged on from my desktop, and there were about 20 more questions on the website version, and all of my answers that I had input via the app, were in completely different fields where they did make sense with the question. 4) the app itself is just poorly designed and difficult to navigate

Love Havenly
I have used Havenly twice now. They are the nicest group of people in every department. Service is quick and easy. Any problem that cropped up. ( merchandise broken when delivered: resolved quickly and without a hassle ) ( trouble with ordering on web site: quickly resolved and without hassle) . Adrian, my designer was fantastic. Loved what she helped me with for living room. I wish every web site, store and business could function like Havenly does. I am not even tech savvy and it was super easy to work with them online. Love, love, love them! I will use them again in the future. This is one happy return customer!

Cool service in concept, bad in execution
We received a design thru Havenly and made several purchases based on the recommendations. The ladder/shelf and curtains that were sent to us were comically different sizes than the renderings that Havenly put together. The curtains only extended halfway down the window and the ladder/shelf was only about half the height that was shown in the pictures Havenly’s renderings. Also the bench we ordered got put on back order for 6+ months. We ended up having to cancel the back-ordered bench, returning the ladder/shelf, and exchanging the curtains. We are still waiting on them to process our curtain exchange that we sent back several weeks ago. The designer that did our original design left the company shortly after we placed our order and Havenly’s customer service has been slow, inconsistent, and not very helpful in getting this mess resolved.

The website needs updates
I love this concept, the designers are great and It’s exactly what I was looking for but the website simply doesn’t work, every single time I go on the website I can’t see my project I have to send an email to get the direct link and sometimes works and other doesn’t. Because I loved to work with the designer I found I purchased 3 more rooms, received the confirmation for all 3 but I can only see 2 on my page and when I go to select the designer for my project that I’ve already purchased is asking me to purchase a project again!!! I’m so frustrated with this situation, definitely not using the platform to purchase furniture, if I can’t find my projects on my page at anytime I don’t want to imagine dealing with thousands of dollars worth of furniture.

Basically a Pinterest Board
This service was a disappointment. It took weeks to get a design and then it seemed like the designer hadn’t paid attention to what I’d said about my tastes, the size of the room, or the need for a different layout. The product list my designer provided included different lamps, styles of nightstands, chairs, side tables, curtains, rugs, art, and bedspread than the photo mock-up she provided. And that photo had a different wall color than the paint indicated in the product list. Oh, and almost of the products listed were out of stock or no longer available. At that point, I’d been trying to get a final design for over a month and was tired of it all. I still have NO idea about a bedroom design and am done with this company.

App does not sync with online website
I started with the app - it had problems saving information, so I moved on to the computer site via my laptop. This seemed to work and I launched my room profile. Then, I went back to add something via the app - information I had stored via the computer site was not there. Panicked, I checked the computer site and all seemed well. Very confused on which platform my designer can see and if I am wasting my time updating one versus the other since the two do not match up. I’m too worried to save any progress on my app for fear that it will erase things from the launched computer profile. So, if I want to change or update anything, I do it from the computer site only - frustrating. Please fix.

Terrible customer service
I’m disappointed to write that once my design service was complete, ordering the items through the Havenly site was frustrating and I don’t recommend it. I was sent the wrong item and they went back and forth with me first blaming the vendor, then blaming me. I had documentation that their site was the issue, with the email confirmation from them saying which item I ordered. Then I paid for shipping the wrong item to me, paid shipping back to the vendor and shipping again the correct item. At no time did their customer service apologize or clarify that this would be the case. Love the design service, and my experience with my designer, but order all your items directly with each vendor to avoid their customer service follow up.

Love the new look of my house
I would totally recommend Havenly services and this app. Imagine getting your room redesigned for less than 100$ (75$ if you are able to find a sale coupon) versus those crazy 500$ that in-person designers would charge you! Once the designers recommend you the shopping list, all the shopping can be done online! So in click of buttons your furniture will be at your doorstep!! Havenly has been our best friend in building our new home!!

Pleased with the process and amazed by the customer service!
We had our living room designed by Havenly— we had never worked with any interior designer before but the process was so fun and easy. Our designer made the process the perfect balance between utilizing her expertise but also appreciating our personal preferences. We ordered several pieces through the app and it was so organized and easy. Also, we had to follow up with some orders and the customer service was awesome....the team members are amazingly friendly and helpful!

Generally good experience with the designer but DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS from them
I had generally good experience with the designer, efficient communication and nice outcome. HOWEVER, DO NOT BUY PRODUCTS FROM HAVENLY!!! It would not make it easier but instead spend more money. As an example, I bought a pendant light branded Arlo Home from Havenly directly for over $380. What I received was one branded Safavieh, and that pendant is sold on other websites such as HomeDepot and Overstock for around $280. Tried to get a price match and the customer service told me that they place the order on my behalf at a “special pricing” and could not do price match. First time to know that “special pricing” means 40% more expensive than other sellers.

If you take your living place serious don’t do it because they don’t take you serious
I really dont know where to start. It took havenly 3 weeks just to have someone reach out to me after i submit every detail and made my payment. One week after ( a month mark) i got a notification that I am not working with that person anymore ( the person I have waited for a month) and advised to pick someone else. I did. One week after I received a text message and for the first time it felt like I was talking to a real person. We set up time and date for the call. Time comes - and my designer ghosted on me🤣. Basically I have been waiting for 5 weeks without any furniture and I am back to square one.

Disappointing App and Service
I was so excited to use Havenly that I I actually bought 3 packages. Not only are the app and website terribly designed and unclear, but the service itself is very far below what they advertise on Instagram and other sites. You can only do 1 project at a time, it can take forever to find a designer who can start soon, and the designer I was finally paired with was a poor communicator and had subpar ideas. When I finally realized that I would be better off decorating myself, I asked for a refund and the company did respond quickly to process that, but didn’t care at all why I was walking away from their service or offer to find me a different designer. I think this is a great idea that sadly isn’t being executed well. Waste of time.

Needs spring cleaning
Many of the designers featured on this platform don’t actually work there anymore. You go through the work of selecting the perfect designer, wait for them to start, and nothing. Email customer service only to find out it’s a dead profile, again, and again, and again. This app needs serious clean up. When you actually get a designer, it’s a great process and concept. I’ve recommended it in the past but hard to now.

A great design service for the busy person
I do not have time and energy to meet with designers in person and go around to stores searching for the “right” piece. But I wanted some guidance to have a more polished look in my home, find a style that worked for me and for my family, and met our needs for comfort. We wanted every space to be useful and usable. Jonica was patient and really sought to understand our needs and desires. We love our new room!

Great service, terrible app
The app isn’t intuitive. You can only access your concepts by scrolling through messages, the shop tab links to a generic shop page and not the personalized items from your concept for that project. Within each project there should be a separate tab for messages, concept design, and shop links for that specific project. Even the shopping links for a specific project aren’t properly organized by item with alternates in a separate link so it’s impossible to tel which item was used in the design and which are alternates. The full site is much easier to use but let’s be real, the app should be just as easy and more convenient.

Mediocre service
My first designer quit using Havenly partway through my project. After talking with her actively, having her disappear kindof felt like getting ghosted by a date. Customer service alerted me to this but offered no apology. I provided feedback to customer service but they didn’t respond at all. I begrudgingly chose a new designer who has asked me no questions and who doesn’t respond to my questions - needless to say, she has created several designs that I don’t particularly like. This process is wearing me out and I’m not finding it fun or especially helpful. It’s also taking a long time with all of the starts and stops.

Unprofessional
A totally unprofessional company and "product" like others have mentioned, they steal images from real designers without permission or credit. They are totally unrepresentative of the services they provide, which are well below industry standards. As someone mentioned, their designers just create 2D images and claim they are 3D renderings. Any idiot would know this is false, and on top of it, as someone mentioned, this means the designers disregard the actual measurements of the rooms and just shrink furniture down so it looks like it fits. What's really funny is that the company actually forces designers to do this rather than following proper industry standards and providing the quality service that they could. Truly embarrassing. This company will not last long.

Won’t finish the set up
All of the other reviews rave about this app. I thought I’d found what I’d been looking for. Woulda been nice, if I could actually get to it. Every time I open the app, it starts out with the usual “get to know you and your tastes”. Cool. I go through the first section of pick your faves and continue on to the next page. From here it goes bad. It won’t stay on the next page. Sometimes I can stay on second stage (experience), but when I continue to next page, the screen slides backward to the one before it. I’ve tried all the tricks I know with no success. Very frustrating. Wish I’d been able to use it.

Terrible app
The app experience is awful. My project started today and I got a message from my designer. I received the message via email. When I went to the app, my project said “new message” and when I clicked that link, it took me to a page saying my project was starting in 2 days, no mention of a message or anger to view an inbox, and prompted me to schedule a phone call that wouldn’t register when I tried. I haven’t gotten on my computer to try again but really hope the website is better or this is going to be a painful project.

Disappointing
I had just medium hopes for this experience and so far it has been very disappointing. The app is awful. So buggy and laggy, it is super frustrating to go in and comment and review your designers selections. Further, my designer is very slow to get back with me, missed a scheduled call- she said due to her calendar being down, which Is possible because this app is awful. Plus, one of her recommendations was the same rug I already have in that space and said I needed to replace. What a bummer. I requested a price adjustment or full cancellation. Don’t waste your money folks. This company is just not there yet.

Faulty useless app
I am just getting started on my first project and I am excited. The service seems great and the website seems easy enough to use but this app is a horrible waste of time. Marketing emails constantly encourage me to browse the inspiration and save it to my boards so my designer can understand my style. I have browsed and saved dozens of things to my board over a few weeks and somehow only three things are saved in there. Very frustrating to find things and save things. Havenly: use that marketing money you’re spending and invest it into making a quality app. I will be only using your website for now on.

Do not shop from Havenly
I would put this as a one star but our designer, Rita Hull, was actually decent to work with. I don’t feel like it was her fault that Havenly failed us. Where Havenly went wrong is in their shop. We were recommended a rug from our designer and I purchased it through Havenly. Unfortunately the large size was not as pictured on the Havenly website. I had to pay over $200 to ship back the $860 rug that wasn’t what we wanted. Super disappointing. I learned my lesson the expensive way. Hopefully I get my refund without challenges.

Makes decision making so much easier!
The choice to work with the Havenly designers finally made me get my act together and create a cohesive, cozy environment for my second home. It was so nice to say yes or no vs searching for a design template. The designers are great to work with and the price affordable. You can work with existing pieces, can buy the furniture they recommend or find something comparable on your own. I love working with this group.

Designers amazing app not user friendly
App is not user friendly at all. I love my designer and her ideas. But the app needs big updates. App keeps saying thing are out of stock when they are not. Hard to go back and forth between the design and items to order - especiallly as the design steps move up during the process. Ordering items - shipping confirmation is confusing. Makes you want to just order direct from the store and skip Havenly. No one from customer service ever answers the phone.

No customer service, they take your money but your design gets stuck in NoWhereLand
I paid all the money and spent time carefully uploading pictures and notes for the rooms I wanted to redesign and submitted my project. I week later I didn’t have any response so I emailed customer service. No response for 2 weeks! And their response was worthless, saying I hadn’t completed all of the required items. The app says I’m done with my side so I tried calling customer service to get a faster response. No one answers the phone! They still have my money and I’m stuck in NoWhereLand. What a joke.

one of the most POORLY run apps!!
I love LOVE this company, the design the concept as it being an UpWork for interior designers. The app is UNUSABLE. One of the worst, and I actually felt the need to come here and write a review.... one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. Freezes, does not load properly, whoever is running the iOS or designers here they definitely stopped paying them. I’ve updated, and tried to check my projects (which I have multiple with Havenly). Photos don’t open properly... cannot check out and buy products. Awful. Needs to be addressed it hurts their company badly.

App is broken. Service is good.
I used Modsy for designing and it was great for the living room but the family room just did not come together. I turned to Havenly instead (horribly hard to remember name, BTW) and had an excellent result. Super cool design that looks amazing. That was 6 months ago. This time I decided to buy s full design package for my office. The app seems to have gotten worse though. It seems to be a pop up web browser with an X in the upper left corner (weird). The most annoying thing is having to log in every time without a remember me function. What happened to app design 101? It logs me out every time!

Havenly is great, app is not
I really really want to love this service, but the app is making it hard. My designer is so nice and genuinely seems to understand what I like. But a lot of the design process doesn’t work through the app. I would not have signed up if I’d know that. I am busy, and it took me too many days to be able to sit down at my laptop and address the step in the design process I’m on (specifically uploading photos and then rating individual products in my idea boards). Again? Havenly itself seems really cool so far, but their app needs work.

Horrible app and customer service.
Would give zero stars if I could. You pay around $19 for a consultation that takes forever to happen and it looks like you’re talking to a robot who keeps sending automated messages. I’ve sent pictures of my master bedroom and started to get ideas for living room...then my “designer” stopped using the app and someone else took over. There’s no way for you to get your money back, so I suggest you to use something else. Plus, the app isn’t very functional and there’s an entire process just for you to go back in your conversations. Just really not worth it.

Great service, awful app
Like SO many other reviewers have pointed out, this app is absolute trash. Which is a shame, given all the work the designers put in. There’s no way the company isn’t aware of the app issues, which is why I’m confused as to how it hasn’t changed at all?! Invest more in the software development team, because a slow/faulty app will hurt business. I’ve done two room designs, I would’ve done more but it’s honestly not worth the hassle of dealing with such a poorly designed app.

Honestly impressed!
I purchased the same service from two different apps. I am not going to name the other one (which is also more expensive) but I am so impressed with Havenly. No comparison! The responsiveness, the availability to work with you, the patience, and most importantly the final result! I would totally recommend it

Takes WAY TOO LONG
Pros: Great concept and friendly designers. Cons: Available designers are all booked up and timelines are not accurate. They provide a date when the designer will begin (which is almost never immediately). However, you do not begin receiving any layouts or ideas for days after each step (1-launch, 2-ideas, 3-concept, 4-layout, 5-shop); essentially, you’re looking at a month long process for even starting to consider items for your new place (and they don’t tell you the total timeline upfront).

So much fun
I loved the process and result. I find it very stressful to spend a lot of money on a new room design. I become super indecisive. This made me feel more confident in making purchases and having someone really pick out items that represent my stile without the stress. All around it was fun and I love the result.

Good service needs work
The interior designer that I was assigned, Roxy, is great. But the app is pretty much only running off of the website and the website has a terrible glitch where it will not let you comment on the concepts and things because it hides the box where you type underneath the scrollable area. I have to turn my phone into landscape mode in order to comment on anything. I also requested customer service and it took them two weeks to respond to my voicemail. What customer service has voicemail? And then you don’t even check the voicemail?

Do not bother - terrible app/service.
A colleague of mind had a good experience with Havenly, so I thought I would give it a try. Had to switch designers multiple times right away due to availability, which was ok. Then I didn’t hear anything from the new designer on the date promised. 3 days go by, nothing. I reach out in the app and no response. Meanwhile I get an email from customer service meant for someone else about a nursery (I was designing an office). They even had the wrong name in the email. The one good thing is, they were quick to refund me once I finally got in touch with them.

Over Promise and under deliver. It’s a scam
This is a scam app to buy over priced merchandise that will color coordinate and match your aesthetic. They will not design a room but will help fill it with furniture from their shop. As I waited for my “designer” to make my design I was bombarded by sales emails…. I knew I was scammed… sure enough as I went through the process it was all about buying items to fill the room…. OVER PRICED BY THE WAY…. No design concept on color schemes or anything…. Would have payed more for a plan of attack and not a West Elm brochure. Total waste of my time and money

Beyond terrible service
This has got to be the worst app I’ve ever attempted to use. Their app simply does not work for uploading photos I have tried at least 10 times over multiple days. You cannot use the designer if the pictures don’t upload. They are also impossible to contact. They do not answer emails and they literally have no phone number for customer support! They direct all inquiries to email and then don’t answer email. Save your money use someone else for the love of god.

Love it or hate it
I love Havenly, I do not like the app. I can’t find what I’m looking for on the app. It’s very difficult to use. I’ve had a lot of trouble with it and had to delete it and reinstall it. And I still can’t find what I’m looking for. I love heavenly, best experience ever! But do it on your laptop or computer.

Great service
I really liked working with my havenly designer! She really worked with me on my vision and created a space I know I’ll like coming home too! I also got a 3D rendering of the items in my actual home so I knew exactly what my space was going to look like before I bought everything. Overall really love the service!

What happened ?
I don’t know if Havenly was bought out or has new owners but it certainly has changed almost 360 these past 6 years. These last 2 times I used it I just was not happy . I can’t believe how long it takes now to get someone to do the job and the worst part is that the project will not close unless you give them a 4 star rating. So I had to lie and give 4 stars just to close it. :( I want to love the app but I can’t anymore

Never received what I paid for
I placed an order and selected an available designer and never received my service. After several weeks I contacted customer service who told me I need to select a new designer. I selected a new designer, and never received anything. I’ve noticed now that my order has been cancelled, but I have not been refunded. I’m really at a loss as to what to do. The site says they have a happiness guarantee, but I’m dying trying to get any response out of them or resolution on this issue. I see lots of good reviews, but my experience has been rough.

Top notch service
I LOVE using Havenly whenever I want to refresh a space in my home. They work within my budget, take all of my scattered ideas, and turn it into something easily attainable (with a checklist to make sure I don’t miss anything). Highly recommend!
