This app was great BEFORE the update at least for organizing and keeping track of things around the house. I was hoping more would come of this (like they made it seem), but it never did. I have to send requests when stuff you’d think would populate from there “pertinent info” never does. Everything from the how-to videos to the manuals, and thankfully I didn’t get rid of those, to parts. I own some craftsman power equipment that has been listed in the app pretty much since new and the “pertinent info” it pulled was a warranty. No manuals or typical replacement parts like spark plugs, air filters, etc. for annual maintenance. Luckily I’ve been able to find stuff, but if you’re gonna have a parts section, why not at least list the typical things that wear out or require routine maintenance like spark plugs, belts, water/fuel/air/oil filters, batteries, and that goes for anything not just yard equipment. I haven’t used or bought any warranty services so maybe it’s good for that but the original appeal for me is gone.
I first got the app when I signed up for coverage. It works for me without issue. I could log in easily and access the functions although most of the time it refers you to the main website where you have to log in to get what you wanted to see. Not much sense to have an app if most of the time you are sent to the website and need to log in. The inventory system interface was useful and better designed BEFORE the update but now shows as lists. Hate the new format. In fact, all of the info that was entered does not show as before. Ended up buying a home inventory management program elsewhere for my laptop and use that instead. There was potential but sadly it was lost.
The app looks promising when I signed up initially. I created the account and I then added several items. Most of the items immediately shows the manuals, replacement parts and etc. 2 items was pending which is not a problem since the app is reading the photo taken from the label. Not all labels are not created equal...I guess. I logged in a few time then everything went downhill from here. I am using a password manager to login so every time it should fill in the same information. Spelling should not be a factor since I had logged into the app several times. I now can’t login to the app anymore. After a few tries, it says that my account is locked. So I follow the instructions to unlock the app. It asks to enter my email address and I keyed it in and it responded that I don’t have permission to do that. I tried to email their tech support but I never got any replies. I wish I can enter 0 stars. Since an app is useless if I can’t do anything with it except taking space on my phone. I will delete the app.
I downloaded this app a while back when I saw it featured on This Old House. I think it was free or maybe only a few bucks. I thought it was awesome! A great way to simplify all your home product information. And I was able to get rid of a huge stack of product manuals. Since we haven’t purchased anything significant in a while I haven’t used the app in a bit. But when we recently purchased a washer and dryer and I was looking forward to adding them to the app. I opened the app and discovered 2 new tabs for “plans”. Ok, I guess they offer repair service plans now? Then I tried to add my new washer and dryer. But there is no way to do that anymore! I assume you have to pay for a plan before you can add new item? Or maybe the app is just broken. Either way, it’s very disappointing and I’m sure This Old House would not recommend this app today.

I have used Homeserve for 3+ years now and used to recommend it to everyone I know! I even included it as a recommendation in an ebook I wrote about staying organized and cleaning your home. Not too long after I released this eBook was the interface changed from a block room format on the home page where I could easily find my rooms to stupid tabs and an all tab.... This is so chaotic and disorganized I honestly find the app unusable. I loved being able to keep track of serial numbers and having access to all my manuals digitally, but if a 2000s interface is the direction they're heading with it I will have to find a different solution. Very upset at this unnecessary user altering change.
Wow this app makes me want to throw something. I have no clue how to find my service plans. This app is lost in translation. Whoever developed this should be let go immediately. I have read the instructions from other reviews and still can’t figure it out. This app reminds me of a robo call where I keep selecting options trying to speak with someone only to be given more options to select, this is the Black hole of apps. I feel this app was created by Marty Mcfly in 1988 for people that have no clue what apps are. I hope you didn’t pay for a developer for this. If so, time to get a professional and never use Craigslist again for app dev.
App looks good, but it’s just a fancy way to take pictures of your appliances and to get the phone number to call for service. I guess you could try to make an appointment through the chat, but it’s unavailable on weekends (phone # calls a live person and works everyday). Website has a tab to make a service appointment and even to schedule a tune up. App might be good for someone that really wants to have all their appliance info in one place. Other than that, create a shortcut for the website and go from there.
I loved this app after downloading from a This Old House recommendation. I have all my house info loaded into app and it was “auto populated” with manuals, kept track of warranty info and my uploaded receipts.i have recommended to countless friends and they loved it as well. Then, it ends, no way to enter new items thus making the entire usefulness of the app disappear! Not sure what this was about but it totally disappointing. Please reinstate previous version or launch as separate app. It was so good, would be willing to pay for original version.
This app is terrible. I am trying to sign up for the first time but I have to go to a website to do this. The only problem is that the app tells me that cookies are blocked. I disabled blocking cookies and I still get an error. This seems pretty shady and insecure. I went in and cleared my browser and removed my website data, but it still fails. When I tried again, the website data showed 4 entries, three of which were not homeserv sites. I still cannot get logged into the app or even set up my account.
Wow, this is awful. The enrollment process is terrible and takes you to a separate web portal with captcha technology that barely loads. After registration purgatory, you are then confronted with an app advertising the same app at the bottom. “Have you thought about downloading the app you are currently using?”.. I’m going to look for a new provider just based off the app experience. Anyone cutting this many corners is most likely going to be a poor insurance partner.
I used this app for years. I had all of my household appliances entered, down to paint colors and fruit trees. I used it to find needed videos, replacement parts, and all the things you need to learn to fix things while living rurally. NOW, I can’t even enter the app. The Log In page doesn’t even load after pressing Log In or even Reset Password. This app went from being a daily necessity to a huge disappointment.
Started using this over last few days. I simply scanned model number of devices and every device was recognized and added. Love all the details on each appliance from link to manual and manufacture details Good useful application
I’d been using this app as a way to have my instruction manuals in one, central place. However I’ve recently been experiencing problems. The account I created now continues to ask me to login and doesn’t recognize my password. I’ve emailed the developers, receiving a password reset link but this doesn’t work at all. It’s too bad because for the short time it functioned properly. It was convenient. I hope they fix the bugs
Helps me organize all my documents and find parts I need! You can even find pros to perform repairs. There is nothing this app can’t find when you scan the barcode. Very impressed.
The ONLY reason I got this app was to view/update my service plans. First they throw a bunch of other options at you and so you have to dig around to find the link to look at your plans. And then when you find that link and click on it, they take you to a page to Register even though I’m already a registered customer. Do NOT waste your time.
This used to be a great app but it has gone down hill since the update. It is. It as user friendly as it was originally. Now, as I’d this review, the app won’t even log in into my account. It just shows the home symbol and pulses like it is trying to load but never does. So disappointed where this is now.
App does not work I cannot look up my warranties and pricing info had to call and get info they say I needed to upgrade my browser to “ google chrome “ did that still cannot look up my own info. Then my password will not work so I tried to reset and they have a “security question “ space with NO Question!!! Makes no sense at all
The app offers no information about my HomeServe plans and then tries to link to the website but can’t. So it just sits there. And there doesn’t seem to be any way to schedule an annual heating system check up via the app. It’s just faster to call when I need something.
What exactly is the point of this app if all it does is direct you to go to the website? Don’t you think that users are bright enough to do that on their own? Here’s an idea: create an app to do things so that you do NOT have to go to the website.
Downloaded this app after seeing a commercial for it. It’s not letting me move further into the app until I put my physical home address in. That will be a no from me! Sorry, for security reasons I will give it another try when that feature is removed.
Received an email that implied the app update had some diy guidance for the water heater. When I followed the “open app” link I saw nothing new and no clue where to find the guidance.
Been using the app with no problems and now I am completely locked out and unable to reset my account. Just saw multiple other users with the same issue. This one is being deleted.
It’s really nice of you to take away that feature after I spent so much time adding 167 items now I have to use something else. No warning or anything. Pretty crappy of you!!!
Created account on internet and saw an app was available. Downloaded the app and it doesn’t have my coverage or account info I used to create the account just minutes ago. Useless for my needs.

Can’t add items and store manuals anymore. I’ve recommended this appt I so many people for this feature! Now I won’t. Will be using another and transferring all my manuals.
So many “Security” features, I can’t sign in anymore.
Used to work great. But, CEASELESS security features block and thwart use at every turn. It has gotten so difficult to use, …that I DON’T. Awful use experience.
I got services through them and tried to download the app and never even got on. Just keeps crashing off then i deleted and redownloaded and nope still same thing!
Piece of junk. After wasting all day inputting data into the app it keeps resetting the data and don’t even remember you. What a waste of people’s time. Go pay someone to write a real app for you.
App does not work on iPhones. I have deleted and tried to reinstall. No go, won’t even open. I see a review from Aug claiming the same issue. Should have been fixed by now.
I got a postcard telling me to download this app so I can ditch my junk drawer. Well, it doesn’t work: I can’t add a photo, create a new entry or create a new list. iOS 18
I downloaded the app even though the most recent reviews stated it crashes. Yep. I can’t even open it. Too bad because it would be a nice tool to have.

Down loaded this because it sounded so good to me. I have the iPhone XR and the app does not open. Uninstalled several times on different days still no soap.
