I really enjoy this app because it has a setting to where it alerts you 24 hours before your next shift, 12 hours before the next shift, and continues on up to an hour before you’ll need to be at work. My job is very physically demanding and this app eliminates any need to load my alarm clock with alerts which means more time to sleep/ rest in between shifts. I recommend this app to any employer / employee as it eliminates any excessive stress due to scheduling changes and eases the entire work scheduling process. Also the ability to sacrifice or pick up a shift is very helpful, you can send a message to any coworkers via the app if you might need to swap shifts due to personal reasons/ unforeseen circumstances.
This App is great! Can edit shifts, and add/remove staff from shifts directly from app, clock in/out staff, edit their times, etc. No computer necessary! Also love how it gives notifications 24 hours in advance about an upcoming shift. The only reason for 4 stars is that when I look at an employee profile for their phone number, it does not allow me to copy the number. It’s either call that number or nothing. It’s a very small, minor annoyance, but one that would be EXTREMELY helpful. Especially during the times I would prefer to text my staff instead of calling them. Not sure if this is blocked due to Apple or an oversight on devs. Fingers crossed this will get changed! Despite that, super reliable, super fast to load, haven’t had an issue in a very long time (last time there was a problem, this app was still called Shiftplanning!).
My company’s management recently switched over to paychex flex... worst decision they’ve made since I’ve been with the company. Humanity is a very straightforward and easy to use app that makes scheduling and switching shifts a breeze. It was so easy to switch shifts with Humanity, and I love how all your upcoming shifts were displayed on the home page... that would just make sense to do right? Also, there’s a feature where you can look at all the other employees contact info. which is super convenient when you’re on the job and don’t have any other way to contact fellow employees. I miss Humanity so much, 100 times better than Paychex Flex.
I use this app to manage a small company of about 10 employees. They have done a lot in their recent updates to manipulate the scheduling system for the better and I’m all for it. Being that I make all the schedules for the company that I manage having something as paramount as this app and site is crucial to be able to let my people know when they are working. I do have to say that for whatever reason none of my workers get notified when the schedule gets posted or changed and that’s something that needs to get fixed. When that gets fixed I’ll update to five stars I have no other complaints.
I haven’t had much opportunity to use this system but it seems to be working quite well for me I still find I stumble in a few areas but then I just either look it up or ask her help person to see what I need to do and it works out thank you for placing everything online to help make it easier for everyone to see who is going to be wearing what you were going to be doing I really think once I get more used to the system it will be even more beneficial to me thank you everyone for your patience and I hope you’re having a great memorial day weekend!
Don’t usually write reviews, however I find it deceiving to put a listing on the App Store as free when it’s only a free trial and you do not list any pricing. Heck I had to dig on their website to still find NO prices but you need to call. Now I know this is a new trend with SAAS it seems recently, but it seems dishonest if you can’t be upfront on pricing then what else is hidden in the fine print. Software seems decent for what is needed on our end, but will look else where. Not into phone calls everyday from sales people on an app that appeared to be free but way down in the description mentions briefly about being a 30 day trial. This is the whole point of the App Store having both paid and free categories and a free trial isn’t a free app.
TLDR: Humanity app is bugged and stated my device was jailbroken when it's not. Customer Support did nothing to investigate or help with my issue. My current employer uses this software to manage worked hours. Once I discovered that there was an app I immediately downloaded it. Overall I loved this app but out of nowhere I was unable to login receiving an error message essentially stating "you can't login with a jailbroken device". I currently have an iPhone 11 Pro that is fairly new. I have not jailbroken my phone at all. So for the app to detect this seemed odd to me. I did the standard troubleshooting of removing the app and reinstalling it. Unfortunately nothing worked. I decided to contact their customer service and both times was not given proper assistance. I was even told my issue couldn't be escalated or reviewed. As someone who's worked in Customer Service I understand what it's like to speak someone who isn't being truthful. But there are rare instances where a customer is being truthful. This to me sounds like a bug in the app but no one is taking the extra step in actually reviewing my case. App worked great but the lack of support is disappointing.
Easy to navigate. I love having my work schedule on an app. Suggestion: Be able to chose in app notifications and not through email. Or make it an option to do one or the other. The notification would just be from the Humanity app. For in App notifications - Chose when to receive the notification in different time increments. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. Set multiple alerts through the app.
I love it, it gives you alerts before your shift and also shows you who else is working during your shift. The only thing that I don’t like is the notification you get about your shift changing. I kept worrying that my shift changed to a different time but then realized the thing that changed was different people were working during my shift. If it showed something like a symbol of a person for when someone is added/taken away from your shift and a clock for a time change that would be amazing. Overall wonderful app
I downloaded a trial of Humanity because my work needed a new scheduling app. Immediately after I signed up I got a phone call them from. After playing around for a couple of days it had some features I liked and some that didn’t work out for our business. Ultimately the reason I decided to not go with Humanity was because they called and emailed me daily. I emailed saying that if I had questions I would reach out and still got automated emails. Our trial ended over a month ago and I am STILL getting phone calls and emails from Humanity. Leave me alone! I’m just not that into you! I have told others looking for scheduling apps that they are obnoxious and won’t leave you alone.
I absolutely hate this app. I’ve had problems with my boss over it because one, I don’t get any notifications when he posts a shift for me. This has caused me to miss a shift and almost loose my job. I have an iPhone 8, and I have notifications in my settings on!? This app NEEDS to send notifications to tell me instantly when I get a shift. That’s probably the worst issue that could get me actually fired. Also, he always has workers acknowledge their shifts (to show they know they have to work) and there is no button you can press, you just have to wait until it randomly shows up on the screen to acknowledge them. Those two things need to be fixed ASAP. I really hope I don’t get fired over this stupid app
I HATE HATE HATE THIS APP!! Very hard to navigate, you lose over 50% of the capabilities by using the app and not accessing your account from a laptop or PC. If you want to use a tutorial it is only from a laptop or PC. If you want to delete or deactivate an employee...only from a laptop or PC. You want to create a leave type...only from a laptop or PC. You want to manage user permissions...only from a laptop or PC. For the businesses that utilize tablets as a PC/laptop replacement this is very frustrating. At least within the app direct the “Admin” to a laptop or PC. NO, accessing the website from a tablet does not work...you HAVE TO access your account from a laptop or PC if you want full features.
Our workplace has tried a couple different scheduling apps, and Humanity has been the best. A couple funny quirks, but fairly straightforward with a beautiful interface. The one issue is one that I’ve been told is a work in progress; Humanity can definitely benefit from some well-organized, well-formatted push notifications. I currently get alerts via text, and the language/format is rather poor. I’ve honestly just started ignoring the texts. But overall, highly recommended!
I believe the title of this review should speak for itself. “A snail ran a 5K faster than I could clock in”. But I’ll break it down for you. If your boss implements this new app as a way to manage time sheets it’s because your boss is cheap. Regardless if you show up on time for your shift, by the time this app take to load you would be considered late to clock in. If you only want to check your schedule on the app you’d better be prepared to wait the allotted 2 minutes it takes for the app start up before you can navigate to a different screen. Painfully slow. All other functions of the app are sound which is why I gave it one star.
I have an iPhone 7 and dec. 22 the app did an auto update. It worked perfectly fine before but now it makes me “acknowledge” shifts when I go to shift planning. When I acknowledge the shifts it’s pops up with a message saying no shifts to acknowledge. There is no way to back out from this point and it just loops over and over again. These are shifts from days ago that I’ve seen 100 times. This acknowledge shift feature is useless. I see my shifts on my dash board and under shift planning. I absolutely hate this feature and it doesn’t work on top of that. The app is now completely useless to me until this can be fixed.
Great app overall, but has never have me accurate updates. It notifies me I have shifts starting in 60min when in reality they start in 8hrs. It also reminds me I have shifts starting in 24hrs when it's actually, usually more than that. When anyone in the staff posts to the board, I won't get notified until almost a half day later and when it does notify me instantly, the time on the post will be completely different from my actual local time.
I’m a working professional/Director in NYC. I signed up to see how the platform works. I didn’t even USE the platform. I wanted unenroll and disable my account because I didn’t like the infrastructure but I can’t. They have my data and they don’t delete/disable/cancel my account. The customer service is asking me to make someone else the admin…. NOBODY ELSE IS ENROLLED. I REPEAT NOBODY. Who am I going to make the admin if there is NOBODY else enrolled. They don’t accept my disable my account request because i have to make some else ADMIN? I AM ALREADY THE ADMIN. So weird and unprofessional I’ll tell all my HR connections on LinkedIn that they should not use this app…… THE WORST.
The majority of the app features work well and is stress free. One area the app can improve is the email feature (inbox). When reviewing old messages, the To: and Cc: fields aren’t discernible. Instead, humanity has a “participants” field. This field runs out of space in seeing all “participants” of the message and I reckon it’s the main design flaw I’ve encountered in the last few weeks since I’ve been using this app.
I don’t know if it’s the app itself, or our company personally, but sometimes, when looking on Shift planner to see who comes in next, it doesn’t show ALL. And sometimes, we need to know who’s coming if they are late, because this job is working with special needs children and adults, and we may need to call and find out what’s going on, but can’t, if shift planner is not showing who’s on ALL shifts
This app used to be so great, but now as a scheduler I can’t even schedule on the app. I have to use a laptop or desk top computer to make any changes to the schedule. I don’t carry a laptop with me. Why did this change? It’s so inconvenient. Whatever changes you made on this app ruined the experience for me and made my job harder.
All my schedule, shifts, contacts, and other pertinent info is available at my fingertips! Everything I need to juggle two jobs (full time and part time) and no extraneous nonsense. Excellent for a computer noob/dinosaur like me. All laid out complete with contact button for a schedule conflict or to pick up a shift. Two thumbs way up
Humanity makes it incredibly simple to be an employee. I am notified of my next shift, I can see who all is working, I can make requests to pick up shifts or switch shifts or take time off, and I can clock in and out, all from my phone. It makes communication much easier. If there is a real problem, I can communicate with my manager, but if it’s something more or less simple, I can trust humanity.
I used to get an email 24 hours before my shift started, an email of when the new schedule is posted, and an email if any important changes have been made to my schedule. Because of this, I missed a shift of work. Very upsetting, didn’t know I was supposed to work because a day got added on and the app didn’t email me to say they added in a shift for me to work. Everything is on in the settings to notify me but it still doesn’t work. Hope you fix this.
I have been very pleased with humanity, both the current version as well as prior versions. My only complaint is that it is still a little expensive. Obviously with a larger workforce you benefit from the economy of volume. For my particular business there are only seven of us so the price per employee is a little steep.
I have been using this app for work for the last 10 months with little issue until the most recent update. They are saying my device has been detected as “jailbroken” when it certainly isn’t. I contacted support who told me they cannot resolve this issue. Update: the newest software update did fix the issue and customer support reached out.
This app serves me in multiple ways but the one way I really get the most from it is instant view of where and when I’m working. My work assignment verses from day to day and the Humanity app is right there on top of it to let me know when and where I’ll be working each day. Quick and easy.
I’ve been using humanity for two years now and it has never let me down. It is so easy for me to see my shifts, trade requests, and others working with me. My boss doesn’t use a few of the features, but you can easily block those in the settings. It’s a great app and I highly recommend it if you have a small business with younger kids.
Hi , probably you know what I’m going to write but I'm not going to put you into gussies sanctions. I like the applications corridors panels that shows you allegedly the way you have to do and get into the process and finally get involved with flow . Thanks again for heads up. I would like to ask a question. How should I resolve the red luck sign issues with your email?
On the desktop I can see a whole month with the date I am working and the hours, with the whole thing highlighted. In the app my only choices are a list of shifts or a calendar with a green line over the shift I am working. This is easily confused for working a different day. Because we sometimes split shifts, I cannot tell when or where I am working in the app. This program is not intuitive, printing the calendar is hard to figure out, and the mobile version is extremely limited. For those of us who live off of our mobile devices this app is a thumbs down.
This is the app that is used to schedule your work hours. I wasn’t at home to do this from my computer and this app didn’t even show hours to pickup from my phone to where I missed scheduling hours. Because Thursday is where you schedule hours for weeks to come.
You recently did an update and since then I haven’t been able to see any schedule other than mine. I am a manager and need the ability to see all employees working Incase I’m contacted while I’m at home and need to call someone in. I have the the iPhone 8plus and tried to uninstall my back from the cloud and tried contact both my IT department as well as yours. How do I fix this and get my date restored as this update is frustrating. I understand trying to ya current but too many updates are frustrating, especially when vital components are removed
This app doesn’t mess around I love this app my company is so savvy to use it I love how it les me know how long I’ve been on a break that it doesn’t let me clock on early how it keeps reminding me of my shift I LOVE it !!!! It just makes me love whom I work for more because it makes me think that the company I work for made the app up themselves !!! LOVE !!!
This app is wonderful! I’m able to instantly connect with my coworkers, and it reminds me of my shifts. I am a PRN nurse, and this app keeps me organized. I also Find it very helpful to know when the shifts are available to pick up. This app is so user-friendly, and I hope we continue using it!
I have worked for 2 companies that used this app, both integrated with adp. Both companies committed labor law violations and used this app to manipulate clock in times or clock out times to short pay. They also both used to load their polices on. Both companies once challenged by legal recourse can block the employee from All access to any of the data on it including tracking data. TCP/ humanity will not help you get any of the evidence data as they only care about the company using the service.
Horrible app, that gives too much power to the admins. In the last year, my boss quietly took away helpful features, made it almost virtually impossible to communicate with co-worker’s without going through this app, which of course gives them the ability to see every thing we write. The app also makes it too easy for some my employer to make changes to my schedule months after they were worked. There needs to be some regulations with these apps so that the worker’s, like me, are not taken advantage of.
Great app except it would be nice to have mobile notification settings instead of being required to use a desktop to change them. Also, the SMS notifications would be better if they came from the same number. Every message creates a separate chat on my phone and it’s really annoying
My company uses this app for scheduling and for the most part it works. In July of 2018 the developers made some adjustment to the app and the email shift notifications are formatted in a font size so small you need a microscope to read the emails. The developers refuse to implement a fix we provided them, instead blaming the email app on our mobile devices for causing the formatting problem. It worked fine until six months ago, now they refuse to fix it.
For starters it has been telling me there is an update to a newer app, I should use that one instead. There is no newer app, this isn’t even an app, it’s a wrapper to the mobile site. I have to log in every single time. The symbols the app/mobile browser uses for the few features it does have are not clear for what they do. You basically have to touch a symbol and just see what it does, then try to remember that. We have around 100+ employees and this definitely is not very useful for that many people.
Where I work we use this for the majority of everything. And I absolutely love it! It’s really easy, and comes in handy for pulling up your schedule! No more writing it down before leaving, pictures, or having to call to ask when you work next!
I like having access to my schedule and to see who’s going to be on the schedule for the day. Only downfall is that it’s always shown an option to see shifts available but there have never been any in there so either actually having them or not having the option would be better.
I enjoy the ease of use. Both the desktop version and app are straightforward! I appreciate that legacy shift planning is still available to use for people such as myself that prefer it over the update.
So every time I go to > more> and account> I get kick from the app. I’m trying to put in my personal info but can’t do so. I can stay on the app for as long I was trying please but until I go to account I get kicked. Please help or fix the bug
I have never used an app like this, or knew they existed! I am so shocked at how easy and fun it is. Lots of questions can be answered right on the app. Very clear and direct communication between coworkers and employers. Everyone with a staff should be using this. Total game changer. I get on it just to browse.. it rocks!
app has been good so far until recently its not letting me see my next weeks shifts and is stuck showing me last weeks. it is stuck on november 3rd and i have to try to swipe left about 100 times before it finally shows me my new shifts. also said i didnt have a shift sunday until i had to click on sunday itself.
As a new employee, it was very confusing and difficult to set my availability. It doesn’t make sense to put your unavailability dates when it would be easier to set your availability. I didn’t realize when I left a day blank it would say available all day, you’re working more backwards than forwards to get your schedule made for the week/month.
Simple, Sexy, and Straightforward! If you want to request time off, check your weekly schedule, see if your favorite co-workers are on your shift, this is the app to use. Much better schedule system than a sheet of paper pinned on the bulletin board in the break room lol. 5 stars all the way!!
If you started using Humanity on a computer you might find yourself a bit lost at first. The apps interface (especially adding backdated clock-ins) is not very intuitive but once you’ve figured it out it’s totally fine.
I’m only leaving this rating because this app gives management the ability to block employee from using the desktop version to submit schedules. Too much power. Users should have the ability to decide which they prefer to use. My view is limited on my phone screen compared to a wider desktop screen. Top management should not be able to dictate and force employees to use the app.
I really enjoy doing waitr. I just can’t never seen the pick up a lot I always seem to do fill-in or open because my schedule always conflict with the time that I choose but overall I love the app and I like working for you guys
The new update may have fixed some bugs but took out the custom filter option which was really convenient. Now if someone needs off or switched shifts I won’t be able to know because I’m only able to see my own shifts! Bring the custom filter and the ability to see all shifts please! Other than that Humanity was awesome no complaints until now.
