I moved out of MN during the Covid era and moved my funds with me. I tried using a bigger, more nationally recognized bank and was incredibly frustrated comparatively. I was charged “convenience fees” for almost every transaction, could not view my ROTH information, and literally lost money by using the more popular bank. Banking with Ideal has been just that, “ideal.” I get real time transaction notifications, I can view MULTIPLE accounts from the same app, and when I do something dumb (like forget my password), I don’t dislike calling their customer service representatives, because I don’t feel like a burden. They really seem like they enjoy fixing my issues. It’s a solid organization!
As someone who works all the time and has trouble getting to a location to deposit checks the mobile banking is an easy to use tool. I can just click and deposit a check right into the account I want. Simple and easy to use, I get a confirmation email, letting me know, and you can talk to someone virtually, if you have any questions. I recommend it to family members who have ideal.
It’s frustrating when you consistently use the fingerprint ID option to login and the after a while the app will prompt you to login using your credentials because “it’s been a while”. When I don’t have my login information on hand, the process to retrieve your username/password is such a hassle (you need your account information and SSI). I can’t access my account when I need it! I don’t have all this important information on me while I’m on the go!
I called, and the bank service person was very professional and asked if I needed any other help. I said I was happy with the bank and she wished me a great day. That is super to hear someone listening and hearing your needs to help you. Much appreciated.
I’m very happy using Ideal’s app. I have been using it for several years now and have had great success with it. It’s especially useful to deposit checks from my small business. I would recommend it to anyone who needs versatile access to funds. Thank you Ideal CU!
First of all who has to make an appt to talk to someone, I thought your bankers were always there for you. If you work it makes it truly hard to get in for they did not take appts after 4pm. My cash card never worked at gas stations or grocery stores but no problems anywhere else. Truly embarrassing!!! I deposited a large check and even though it was taken out of the other bank I still did not have access to my money after 5 working days! I am done 😡
I love this bank and all the work the employees have done for me over the years. I appreciate the help on all the assistance and I would never leave this bank. Ever. I recommend this bank and hope this bank builds a branch in Nevada. Please.

Wish there was Face ID login and free Credit checking
One thing I wish the app had for faster login in is Face ID otherwise the other banking apps I have used are as good and easy as this one but some do have free credit check
I like IDCU. The things I dislike is I’m far from a branch now that I retired. Also there is a daily limit for purchases. Some days I do all my shopping and other things pop up and it’s disappointing.

*******They finally REfixed a previous update when using this app on an ipad. Landscape view/usage works again.******* Will the DEVELOPERS EVER REVIEW THIS ISSUE?Prior to update, ipad version of app could be viewed in landscape. After update on 9/6/23 it reverts to portrait and will not change to landscape. Please fix and retest before release of the next update..
