i’ve been using this service for about 3 years now and really like it’s monitoring capabilities. however, recently the website “changed”. i do not like the functionality. the previous views were so much easier to use and navigates. i’m guessing this might be a case of the technology team deciding what the customer “might” want. i find this version cumbersome and not intuitive at all. but overall, the service is great and i would recommend it.
I had a family plan for years with this company. Had myself and my children’s information listed when i joined. Started having trouble accessing the app. Could not get into it. Kept saying try again later. Finally i got frustrated enough to call. Customer service was helpful, however, i found out that not only did they change their app without notifying me but they had lost all of the information for my children ( allowing my son’s account to be unprotected and hacked) but they lost some of mine too. I had been paying for a family plan to watch over my family and they had the nerve to tell me there is no information and i have to enter it all over again. Nothing was even offered to make up for this huge mistake. They even had the nerve to try to tell me the information was never there. Why would i pay for a family plan and not put my family on it. If i wanted just me i would have just signed up for the single plan and save money. I am very disappointed and appalled that a data security company would do this to someone.
I signed up for the ultra plan which was on sale for $160 a year which included up to five adults. I added my information and then invited the two adults which would be my husband and son and then I got a thing saying that my charge would be $300 for the year. Under the frequently asked questions it says you can cancel through the app, but the app is not user-friendly at all and there is no way to cancel through the app. So I called to cancel and the person I spoke with did not sound like a trustworthy person. Now I wonder if all of my information was just stolen by them. They say all of your information is deleted once you cancel, but how do I have proof of that? It's a real bummer that you can't just sign up for this type of service without really doing a deep dive into each company first. I wanted to give a smaller company a chance instead of going to LifeLock, but I guess that didn't pay off.
I subscribed to Identity Guard a couple of years ago and canceled because my credit cards offered protection and a credit score from the bureau whom they ran their credit checks through. At that time I felt that Identity Guard was not offering to be of good value. Now I have a son in college whom needs a protection plan that not only offers all 3 credit bureaus with the scores. The app also teaches in some areas which will serve Jake well. I.G. has revamped their app since the last use. We compared them to other companies (apples to apples if you will) and they offer the most for the best price. I have the family plan and I am very pleased with it so far and I haven’t even used all they have to offer as of yet.
This has been the worst experience! Not only did LifeLock (who I no longer even have a membership with) alert me about my information being on the dark web before Identity Guard, I had to call Identity Guard and the representative couldn't even tell on her end that my information has been breached. Did I mention that I have the highest service plan for my family that they offer? It's been so bad that it's almost unbelievable. Days after my notification from LifeLock I finally got an email from Identity Guard. The email basically told me what I needed to do on my own. I have literally called them a dozen times in the past week and multiple times I left my information for a callback, per their auto instructions. Also tried holding and was disconnected after holding for over an hour. It is not horrible service - it's NO SERVICE!!!!!
While this long-time subscriber—almost 20 years—understands that the recent social security numbers hack has caused incredible pressure among Aura/Identity Guard customer care departments, the lack of responsiveness or available avenues for customers to obtain updated infomation is shocking. The app on both my iPhone and iPad are locked out for no particular reason. Access to the website homepage sends the person to the available plans for new subscribers. Login is nonexistent. Phone calls leave the caller on hold for hours (yes hours) and the call back option leads to no returned call. A subreddit post confirms the problems with Identity Guard are widespread and getting worse. You owe customers a refund and answers.
I have had their service for over 2 years. Anytime there is activity regarding any of my monitored information I received a notification immediately! Recently went through getting a credit check done for a home loan and received notifications via the App and email within minutes of the check. Will definitely continue to use their services.
Decent service. Slow alerts based on my parameters. Desktop app is not usable. Web app just spins when you try to sign in. Hard to reach for any technical problems. Mobile app is okay. Each place you log in doesn’t have same look and feel.
I’ve been a victim of identity theft 2 times. Reading a few reviews, I can tell I’m not alone when I say that they switched their app without telling anyone. I’m also not the only one with data missing such as old fraudulent alerts. Only the alerts that I deemed “safe” show up but not the 3 alerts that were fraudulent. 2 weeks ago, I called and was told that the system was still “populating” and my alerts will show back up. I’m sorry but how did alerts from 2020 and 2022 show up but not fraudulent ones from 2021? Really upset with a data security system dropping the ball. Is my info actually safe out there?
Been With ID Guard for Years - Great Customer Service
I have been with ID Guard for years and have been satisfied with it. Few times I had to use a live person and they were great. Although credit services are now available with almost any credit card you may have, but ID Guard detail is expansive to view it all. Hope they can reduce their monthly charge to $5.95 instead of $9.95.
I've had it for over two years, and it is still going great, as it constantly informs you of new updates, changes, and risks associated with your account. Alerts and notifications are prompt, showing you how to respond to attacks/ breaches or if someone is fraudulently trying to steal your information.
My identity was stolen. Thankfully I caught it early but it was still an unnecessary headache. Got in touch with IdentityGuard to help straighten things out right and put measures in place to make sure it’ll never happen again. Going on three years now and those thriving mice can’t even look in the direction of my cheese without my knowing about it before they can twitch a whisker! IG is not only protecting my identity and my financial security but they are helping to *catch* the bad actors in the proverbial act which helps local law enforcement coordinate across the country! The mice that tried to move my cheese ultimately got what they deserved, snap-trapped!
The info on the website does not translate to the app . They don’t seem to be in sync and the app looks very underdeveloped . It shows you alerts when you click on the alert instead of taking you to the specific alert it shows you the entire 30 days and then you are fishing to find . This app is very generic and doesn’t have a quality field in match to the service they are offering .
There is peace of mind knowing ID Guard has myself and family’s back. It’s so important to have thorough protection like ID Guard provides in this day and age. We originally tried another protection service and was not getting the security we wanted. Found Identity Guard and so happy we did!
Your customer service rep Keeper was very patient & helpful. He stayed on the line until I was able to access my account via the web portal & mobile app. Thank you so much Keeper! What great customer service! I give you 10⭐️
It took me 1hr to connect my entire family plan! With Experian it took me a two weeks and still couldn’t connect all family members. After two weeks of that, I found Idenity guard. So happy!
This company is suppose to represent you the customer which I was told when they send out information to remove your personal information to the data brokers that it’s up to the data broker to remove the information which is unacceptable because you pay this company to represent you and keep you secure which does nothing to do anything but not keep your personal information away from the data brokers.
You’ve been unable to update my family plan account to new platform for 4 months now. Bob in Technical Support was to credit my account, but I was just billed again when my husbands information is still not working in the new platform. And Bob was to call me back. I’ve not received a call from anyone in 4 months. I always have to call back after waiting weeks. NOT a satisfied customer at all. Linda Cain
For a 69 year old lady this identity theft company is easy to use and now I have peace of mind since information was leaked to the Dark Web. Now I know I have taken the steps to keep my life safe as much as possible.
I have had identity guard for 10+ years. Receive immediate notification of any activity, full service seamless monitoring. I have full confidence in this company, customer service when needed is exceptional
I’ve had Identity Guard for years, but not the app. Once I installed the app on my phone I could no longer access my account on my computer. The phone app is very poor and didn’t show the features I could view on my computer. It never was able to show my credit score like my computer did, and eventually I had to cancel. The app ruined my ability to use Identity Guard.
I can not change my credit card info or update my credit card info on this application I guess you just like taking my money and give pore services in return I got this app to make things easier and simpler and not wasting time on using the browser, sharing my personal data on the internet with known and unknown third-parties sites and tech savvy hackers too.
Identity guard is great piece of mind knowing someone is looking out for my best interest and my family for a fair price. Unlike other companies that offer the same service.
Screens are sometimes confusing and convoluted. Signing on is not easy snd gets frustrating. Data is not always reliable, for instance today I get notice to see my updated credit score, data was from March. I’m almost at the point of changing identity protection vendors.
Why would I download an app to monitor and view alerts only to have to go to a web browser and sign-in to view any actual useful detail for the alert?! Seems pointless to have the app. Useless. And most of the first tiles when you open the app is for features I don’t have but can call to purchase. Useless
Great app but it has too many changes with features! And sometimes is confusing not to user friendly. Also the antivirus does not explain the Anti lock system how it works.
When I first started using this service I would instantly get a notification when a new account was opened or someone ran a credit check now it took almost a week to get the notification .
Identity guards protection, and updates are first rate. The availability to protect yourself and your family’s identity, privacy etc. is worth the fee charged.
I’ve been trying to get their IT team to call me back and after multiple promises they would call within 48 hours they still never have. The web app and mobile app aren’t syncing passwords so I can’t sign into things easily on my phone. So frustrating
Having to go to AP store get new version, there are 2 , if you move to a new version take old one down Tech guy seemed baffled I was accessing via iPhone, really????? If I don’t get this working soon I will dump you guys land head back to LIFELOCK
Identify Guard customer for three years. Made the move after falling for a phishing scam. The sense of security is a great comfort in today’s world of cyber criminal activity.
I’ve been trying this software, but had issues the minute I went on line with the VPN. It effectively locked me out from using my browser. The only way to go one line was to turn off VPN, then I had no issues.
Pointless to have this app when the credit portion has been saying for weeks it’s configuring my report and can take several hours. After hundreds of hours you think it would be done???
