Incoherence

I enjoyed playing this game, however there were a couple of problems I had with the game. The puzzle with the cash register (till) didn’t work for me because the digital numbers kept rotating rapidly when I pressed on a number and would not stop on the actual number I selected. So I had no idea what to do. It was only when I looked up the answer and saw what the numbers should be. I believe there is a bug somewhere. Also, the puzzle using the fire escape plan I believe is a little misleading because the token for me started in the middle, not where it needs to be in order to follow the plan. You have to move it to that location first then start the plan. Overall, it was a decent game.

If you’re like me and enjoy an interactive adventure puzzle like The Room series, The Legacy series, and Da Vinci House, you will love Incoherence! The storyline is interesting and captivating, the gameplay is smooth and intuitive while being just challenging enough to be fun without being maddening. The hint feature is a great option if you’re stuck, I love that you can choose to get a little hint or reveal the answer, eliminating accidental spoilers. 10/10 would highly recommend. This is a game I will definitely come back to and play again. I only hope they make a sequel, because I would love to find out what’s going on with this character, and have the opportunity to play their original, creative, and fun puzzles. The only issue I had came maybe around the third round of slides. My app began crashing when I was trying to access my photos. Not sure if this was my phone or the app itself, but I didn’t try to troubleshoot because I found I didn’t need the camera feature much as I could rely on my memory, so I could complete the game without it. This game is well worth the price, continued quite a bit longer than I expected, and was a joy to play. Do yourself a favor and get the game, it’s worth it. Developers: You did an amazing job! Thank you for this wonderful gem! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with next! Congratulations on a beautiful, creative and original game!! 🎉 I am hooked, you have a new customer for life!

Having played all the usual suspects in the puzzle adventure genre including the Forever Lost series and Veritas I was disappointed with this game. It was seriously easy and therefore short. Each segment of the game is compartmentalized into four rooms. You enter a room and you’re stuck there until you solve the puzzles in that room. Therefore, almost all of the clues within each room are associated with the puzzles in that room. The one or two clues or items not relevant to that room will be used in one of the other four rooms in that chapter. This is the downfall, in my opinion. Since, like most all the other games, I don’t have to figure out where on some large area that usually requires a map I will use each item or clue. You know each item or clue will be used on the one or two puzzles within the room where you found them. This makes the game quite easy. I never use hints in any of these games and I’m used to getting stuck for days at a time once or twice per game. This game took me a few hours.

The game is great. Without giving too much away, you have to do some things in a specific order. If you go through and don’t do things in the right order, you’ll have to return to the rooms. The only thing that confused me for a minute was that your inventory empties if you go back to the rooms to correct the order. And if you put certain items in a new spot, that’s where you’ll find them—not where you originally found them. At first, I thought this was a glitch that made my items disappear. But it’s not a glitch. Beyond that, it’s pretty straightforward. Not the longest or most challenging Glitch game. But I don’t think it’s fair to compare to other Glitch games—they shouldn’t have to top themselves each time. This game is a 5 star in its own right. Well worth the price.

You must put the initial rooms in the correct order to access items. These items will allow you to get the key to obtain more sections/panels. I am not sure if there is more to this game or not? There were 4 sections/panels available. They were intuitive - normal Glitch style. But the game only took about 45 mins to play - tops. I took a look at the app to see if I was missing anything and the pics showed areas/panels that didnt have access to. Hmm, will these be later releases? The quality of the game is there but the length was really disappointing. I miss the length of the older Glitch games. The ones that took a few days. Please let me know if I am missing something on this one…

This game hits all the right notes. In each segment, you’re given four scenes that have to be run through in sequence to get to the next level. The trick: You don’t know what order the scenes should be played in. It was frustrating at first, but once I figured out that putting them in order is the overall tragedy of the game, it went smoothly. I had to run through some levels more than once to figure out the sequence and pick up the objects from one scene that I would need in a later scene. It’s an interesting idea, and executed well. The game takes place in the Forever Lost universe (sort of— Jason, Alice, and Hugo are all there in one form or another). There are some nice callbacks to the original trilogy. The puzzles are a little easier than usual. Not sure if it’s that they really are easy, or just that I have an idea how Glitch Games work, having played all of them over the last few years. TL;DR: A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. Good art, as always, good puzzles, and a universe familiar to fans yet accessible to newbies. Five stars, easy.

Once again, the Glitch developers have played upon their strengths to develop a fun, mind-stretching game with a creative storyline. The puzzles are playful, the graphics are excellent, and the sketchy memories shared throughout the story keep you dialed in for more. “Incoherence” is well worth the money for several hours of entertainment. I reserve 5-star ratings for the all-time genre-defining games, so consider this 4-star rating a strong “A” grade from me. Please keep ‘me coming, Glitch: I’ll keep playing! HINT: If you get stuck early on and don’t know what to do after solving the first four rooms, keep thinking. There’s much more to come if you can cross that first satisfying threshold!

Glitch never disappoints, the stories are always great, as are the puzzles. This game, though, I found to be pretty easy. I usually wind up looking at hints at least a handful of times in their games but didn't need to at all in this one. It was also pretty short. The last two titles Glitch has released have been notably shorter than previous titles. I hope they lengthen them again soon. Update: I did play all 16 rooms.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that Glitch had a new game available and downloaded right away. No issue with price as others have commented. Overall, the game was enjoyable, but compared to other Glitch games (e.g., Forever Lost), this one regrettably underwhelms. Still worth the purchase, but I agree with the takes that Incoherence is a bit more linear than other Glitch games. The vast majority of clues to exit a room are contained within that room. And the instances where cross-room knowledge or items needed followed a pattern. It’s still good fun and look forward to future releases but feel like this one did not meet the high standard of other Glitch offerings.

I’m new to Glitch games but a veteran of escape room games (Tiny Room, The Room, etc). This one is a high quality and very enjoyable experience that took me a relaxed 2-3 hours, well worth the price. I chose to use the hint system a couple of times and found it tuned to give just enough information. I’d recommend this to anyone who likes puzzle games, and particularly anyone who has tried escape room games and found them poorly designed or just too hard. This one won’t disappoint!

I really enjoyed the concept of the stages and the rooms. Yes it made it slightly easier because everything was there to get out, but you had to determine the order, otherwise you couldn’t get any further. I learned the hard way, but I learned and went on to enjoy. I also think it was a little easier because playing their games over the years has “Glitched” my brain!

I love all your games and this one is no exception. I like the creative twist of needing to do things in a certain order. Puzzles are just the right amount of difficulty to make you think but not too much. It was slightly shorter than some of their other games but I feel like the price was just right for the length. Took me about 5-6 hours. Good job Glitch! Keep it up

This one’s a bit more claustrophobic, escape-the-roomy, but the gimmick of re-ordering the rooms to get to the next group is clever. I don’t like being inside the whole time, though.

I genuinely don’t understand the other reviews that are complaining about this game. Sure, it’s not as long as some of the other games by this company, but it’s priced appropriately based on that. I spent a wonderful evening figuring out the delightful puzzles in this game, and I can’t recommend it enough if you like those types of games.

The first Glitch game I purchased that was a waste of time and money. One simple, linear room escape after another over and over again and then… nothing. Every time I finished a set of 4 rooms each with 2-3 boring puzzles I was dreading another set of 4 boring rooms but that’s all there was. Low res graphics, not much game play. Maybe the original Glitch sold out to this second rate company and that’s why they won’t allow me to restore my purchases of the older games?!

Initially I had only a black screen on my iPad Pro when trying to play the game. I had to delete the app, restart the iPad, and reinstall the game to get things working. That’s a strange requirement but the game is now running fine and I’m enjoying it (as I have all the Glitch games).

I love every game Glitch develops! Classic point and click adventure games. Always a little humor and inside jokes. Incoherence has an interesting twist to it that is very clever. I enjoyed the challenge, am playing it a second time to see if I missed anything and am already excited for their next game! Great job team!!

I loved this game, and actually think it might be my favorite Glitch game, which is saying something. It is a different style than many of their others, but a really unique and thoughtful gameplay still full of many Glitch-style puzzles. I was bummed when I finished it!

I just got this game and I was super excited to play, but when I started a new game the whole screen was black. Dialogue popped up and I assumed it would fix but it didn’t. It told me to pick up the camera, so I had to randomly click the screen till I found it. I tried doing a new game and restarting the app, but nothing worked. The game looks fun, so please fix this bug.

Love your games! Had a little hiccup having to toggle on Snapshots (which is under settings and “show advanced settings.”) Then only after restarting did it finally work - and so glad I am, it’s awesome as usual. Highly recommend, much as I do The Forever Lost series.

This one’s a little on the easier side. Very fun! I know when I buy Glitch, I won’t be disappointed. I know it won’t be money wasted lol. I also like that their apps/games don’t collect any data. That’s the way games should be. Nice job devs:)

This is a fun and unique game with challenging puzzles and a great storyline as you progress through someone’s memories. As always with a Glitch game, the artwork is great, the puzzles make you think way outside the box and there is always whit and humor… Hats off to Glitch for another incredible game!

I’d like to start off by saying, this as all Glitch games, is amazing. However, I ran into a serious “glitch” in Chapter 3, the Alley, that has left me unable to move forward. It’s definitely not an issue with not being able to figure my way out of the problem, but a flaw in the software. My only option is to start the entire game all over again. I’m hoping the developers are reading the reviews because they aren’t responding to email.

I’ve been a player since “forever lost” and this is another freaking fantastic game!!!! A+ Graphics, A+ music, A+ puzzles that took me some time to figure out, but just overall A+ game!! Keep up the good work, Glitch. Sending love from San, Francisco California!!!!

I just downloaded the game, and the screen is black! The camera, magnifying glass, file, and briefcase are all on the screen, but there’s no picture. I tried to re-download the game, but I have the same problem. Any ideas about what I might need to do? I love Glitch games! I have ended playing every single one of them. Please help!!

The ONLY negative thing about this game is that we got it on day one and will have to wait so long for the next one. So innovative and the graphics are always excellent. Glitch Games is one of our favorites. Keep them coming!

The puzzles in this game are really fun. The story line just a bit incoherent. I hope there’s a sequel to reveal more of the story. I’ll be replaying this one, too. Thanks for not tracking everything about your fans.

Clever and beautiful game. I loved playing it. Puzzles were hard but always fair. Even though it looked excellent, the resolution was less than the resolution of an iPad Pro 12.9”. Maybe that could be looked at for future games?

This is a well thought out game and the mechanics work really well. Overall the game achieves the goal of being enjoyable. I didn’t give it 5 stars because the price of admission is way too high. The story is way too short and unexplained and it seems to me like it was released prematurely.

This is just one more escape game in the market…nothing special. So disappointing because I always look forward to the next Glitch game. I’ve purchased all of them from the beginning. Where’s the next chapter in All That Remains? I need the story games, like Veritas, Cabin, Short Tale, heck even Ferris Mueller was good. And I did enjoy Another Tomorrow.

I like previous Glitch games a lot. This was good but short. It took me 2 hours and I’m no wiz. And then the end? I’m like, wait that’s the end? I don’t get it. No satisfying resolution after the whole story, and I expected a couple hours more of play. It’s a decent game but expect it to be pretty easy and short.

I liked the game, but there was a bug in the last step. The button for the lock box never made it to the hospital. I tried picking up the button five times and each time it disappeared from my inventory by the time i got to the lock box. Very frustrating. I was using an ipad.

I loved the puzzles that required you to put the narrative into the right timeline in order to solve the puzzles! It was super clever! Yet another great Glitch game! I only wish it were longer!

Incoherence is very smart but not rocket science which is perfect for me. The one time price for full access to hints when you need them is how it should be. I loved all 16 levels! Thank you sooooo much!

This might not be the hardest game to play, but it is very much worth playing. Finding games worth paying for is like panning for gold. This time I found a nugget!

This game is so good the only thing is that it was too short. I wanted it to get harder and slowly you start to question everything. I needed more. Please give me more!!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I was especially taken with the extra layer of re-ordering the rooms after each level. Super cool premise. More like that one, please!

Only two puzzles that made no sense but that might just be me

As with all the glitch games, this game was very fun. The easiest one I have played by far, but still fun and worth the money.

Glitch does it again - another creative, interesting and fun game!

I paid for this game because I luv the creators, I’ve never been disappointed. Well, this game has a huge ‘glitch’, no picture. It starts, I can tap the screen and words come up telling me ‘locked’ and something about the wires but there’s no picture. Just blackness.

I really enjoyed this game. Not too hard not too easy.

The game loads with just a blank screen and three icons in the corners. I tried both on my iPad Pro and my iPhone and same thing happens. There is no way to get it to work. I tried uninstalling and installing fresh and same issue persists.

It was a very fun game don't get me wrong but it kept shutting down at least every 5 minutes or less and sometimes more depending the level I was on

Despite the revision notes indicating fix for missing items, still can’t progress past the cod/noose/noon puzzle. Missing the noon card, which just disappeared. Quite disappointed in the game-breaking glitch.

Sound and menus work but otherwise screen is black. You can find items by randomly tapping on the screen but nothing is visible. Uninstalled and reinstalled, same problem.

Paid $3.99 for the game. When i opened it, all i see is a black screen with a brief case in one corner and a magnifying glass in the other. Hints are telling me to pick up items but the entire screen is black. I’d like my money back.

The forever lost series was genius. I don’t expect these guys to replicate that. It’s like getting hit by lightning twice. The puzzles were fun but there was just no story It became redundant

Really excited to play, but the screen is black. The creator is responding to all similar views instructing on how to change the settings to fix the glitch. But toggling the snapshots button didn’t work for me.

Cannot play the game. When i click new game it is just a black screen and tells me to pick things up but does not show anything, just black screen.
