This is a great app for people that like to put interesting filters on photos without hassle. It is very easy to use with a simple layout so you know exactly where the tools are that you need to use. There are only four filters and four color options that go with those filters but if you want more it literally is $4.99. No subscription (🙌🙌) or anything stupid like that. Also, whoever said you have to crop the photo before you can put a filter on it was mistaken. You can do that if you want to, but you can just push done to skip that part. If you’re looking for a simple but fun app to play around with filters, then I would totally recommend this app! 👍💜 (One more thing, before rating an app, make sure you figure out how to use it before getting frustrated and dramatically deleting it off your phone and then writing a nasty review. Goodness people.🙈)
This app was the best $5 I've spent in as long as I can remember. It's easy to use and has so many features and settings that after a solid month of converting multiple pics and shooting new videos, I'm still just scratching the surface. I've been recommending it to friends and co-workers heavily. My only wish is that I could upload videos I've previously filmed and convert them. Outside of that, this app is THE number one in my opinion. Especially because there's only a one time fee to upgrade instead of a monthly or yearly subscription cost.
This app is a great app to turn your photos you have already taken or take a new photo while in live mode on your phone and turn your photo into an art masterpiece! It makes really quality perfect iPhone ratio pictures and videos!! Most important thing I would tweak is to make it where the person's lips are not so red like the Joker in Batman in cartoon filter mode! Some other things that I would improve would be putting a timer on it so you could place phone on a tri-pod and make it so your Apple watch would work with it also, or at least add a 3second, 5 second and 10 second timers on the app so you have a chance to adjust before the picture is taken! Overall a great app!!👍🏻🤪
I used to love a program i had on my windows pc. It made various types of oil paintings from photos. I it also did 4 styles, oil watercolor drawing and something like oil over sculpted 3d surface with putty knife. I did lots of portraits of family friends as well as landscape and our church. But when win went to 64 bit that was it. Someone complained that you could do this in photoshop,yes you can ,a couple hundred or so software, spend a couple years learning it,you will still play with settings for ever, but you will get greater control if you do that. 5$ and five minutes for me. I don’t like every filter of course but he did a great job. Bravo
I’ve always loved “cartoonifying” photos, but this takes things to a whole new level. First of all, I love that you can just buy it. I hate subscriptions, and most other apps you have to subscribe to to get all the features and disable watermarks. So thanks for making it a one time buy. The app is so easy to use, anyone can use it. You can get advanced and adjust levels or just slap premade filters on. Some of my photos look so good I would seriously call them art. Great app!
What can I say but Fantastic, this app has so many variations to keep an artist soul busy for hours. The live video and live camera options are amazing and what you can do to your photos is awesome. The interface is simple and easy to use, the only thing that gave me any problem was the app would crash when I try to load my photo library. But I have a LOT of photos on my camera roll so it’s not the only app that has that problem. One thing I would love to see is support for landscape view on my iPad maybe that can be in one of the next updates.
I was looking for something that would turn photos I have into something that looks like a cartoon or a comic book. Bam! Done! Simple, intuitive, and fun. You can also make settings and then create a video in that style, but you cannot upload a video into that style (maybe one day). I bought the $5 pro version, because it was worth it. It’s a one time fee and it makes the app feel open and how it was meant to be. I’d advise you to get this and get the pro version, it’s less than a cup of coffee for just a boat load of fun!
I don’t know what I was expecting with this app. It’s extremely boring nothing new to learn. I can do the stuff I paid for for free with almost any photo editor. All it does is distorts your picture. The most interesting affect is that you can make it rain. Big deal. Other than that you can do almost everything it does with your own phones editor. Waste of money. Read before you purchase. This was my own fault for not actually reading what the upgrade can do. Without the upgrade it doesn’t do anything. With the upgrade it doesn’t do a whole lot more except gives you more things to distort your picture with. So I’m giving it a 2 star rating.
This app is great!!! I wanted to make a profile picture for my wattpad account, but I didn’t know what to do, I then decided I wanted to do a cartoon version of a picture of me. I downloaded this app with low expectations, as all the other apps I have downloaded that are like this all costed money to even do the cartoon version. I created the picture, and it not only was free, but it looked REALLY good too! Yes, there is a paid version u can purchase, but it is not necessary and this app works amazing without any extra filters.
I absolutely love this app! Very high quality, and easy to use. My 11 year old Boxer, Diesel just passed and I have been looking for artist to paint his picture in a similar manner to house these filters make my pictures look. The price for a 12x12 started at $125. You get a lot of filters and editing for free and for only $5 to upgrade to pro it’s totally worth every penny! So glad I found this. Thank you for helping me remember my boy in a fun and creative way!
I somehow purchased this app in my Apple apps account. $4.99 was the purchase price. I hope that isn’t a monthly fee. I couldn’t find anything to reference that. This is the first app I have ever paid for, excluding the iCloud. Using iPhone since 2013. If it turns out it has a monthly fee, I’m not sure if I would use it enough to pay monthly. Anyway... I just love this app. I have posted a few of the pictures on FB and everyone loves them!
I really really enjoy this app. I’ve downloaded over 15 apps that are supposed to make your images into cartoons or comics or just give it some flare and this app by far beats every single one of them and this is the only one I use now. It’s very well put together, there’s no lag time when the filter is applied. It’s just an overall great experience. I highly recommend trying it out and then purchasing the premium version.
This app worked great! Had it for over a year. Loved it... until... It stopped saving my videos (iPhone 7). It says video saved to photos, but it was not there. The options for Full HD and Ultra HD also disappear. Not sure what I’ve done differently. Too bad. I really liked the output. Update: I reported this to the developer and my problem was resolved in a remarkably short time. Turns out it was mostly operator error. After recording a video, you need to wait a few seconds before closing the app. I changed my rating to 5 star as it now does everything I was expecting and then some. No doubt my requirements and expectations are not the same as someone else, but ultimately I am very satisfied.
This app is really fun to use and makes my pictures so much more fun and lively you can do light or dark even if you don’t have the pro it’s still a very fun game The only problem I have is ,I wish that their was more things available without the pro because it’s pretty expensive 4.99 , other wise I love this game it’s so fun I hope you consider my review 😊
TOON does a fine job of tooning your photos, whether they are people, places or things. You can create a comic strip or graphic novel if you plan your story correctly. Create a look and go for it. Or, simply have fun with any individual image. Make your own greeting, holiday or whatever card! Coloring book? Go for it. TOON can reduce your photo to a dark line drawing. You may find yourself going to bed at 2:00am. Only reason I did not give it a five star rating is because as a former HS Art Teacher and drawer/painter, I miss the subtleties between the settings that I am given. But enjoy this program and spend the additional $4.99 to upgrade the editing. You should have loads of fun!
I looked at all the other apps that try to give filters that make photos replicate and look like comics, cartoons, sketches, or paintings and none compare to this amazing app!!! When you pay for the plus you can get cool extra filters that are so worth the money!!! This app and the makers rock and I look forward to seeing more from them!!! Great little app, definitely worth the $4.99 one-time purchase. No gimmicks, no annoying ads, no sucker of the month subscriptions like the other guys. Just a creative and fun little app for a decent one time price. Don’t waste your time with the other guys. They offer less for sometimes five times as much... and that’s only for a month.
I gave this app 1 Star the other day because I was disappointed that the app did not work and it looked like it would have been awesome! I am happy and beyond thrilled to tell you I contacted the developer and they fixed it in one day!!! They responded right away and communicated often to find what the problem was. I now find that this is my new favorite app!!!! Thanks guys!!!
This is a great app and can be used for many purposes. It functions great and is very smooth with great, fast editing. The one suggestion I have for an improvement is to add a “no filter” or “original” for the camera. All of the other filter work wonderful for everything, but there should be a “no filter”, just like the canvas, etc. Otherwise this is a great app that I am happy I upgraded to.

Acceptable filters, provided that the original pictures are OK. The sketch (computer-generated filter) provided is rather decent. Point is, the filters are not the traditional filters and tools as you would get in, say, Adobe Photoshop. This is a different set of things -- things that cannot be compared to the traditional RGB filters. But you had downsides like the ads and the non-free stuff, but it was OK. If I am using it free then I guess this is plenty of what I'd need.
Problem that it is required to GIVE this app access to ALL MY PHOTOS… ! there’s no way this is okay. With over 40k pictures on my device- giving any app ALL MY PICTURES would take forever & gives me MAJOR PRIVACY CONCERNS ! App won’t let me choose one or a few photos off my camera roll. All or nothing. App Deleted - suggest developers CONSIDER update giving USER the ABILITY TO SELECT CERTAIN JPGS ONLY! Really not a fan of apps grabbing stuff beyond necessary.
After reinstalling this application it works perfectly. The best part is of use. You do not have to be an artist or camera expert to attain the desired image effects you want. I am running this on a iPhone 11 with OS 13.4.1. I would definitely recommend this app as well as the apps made by this developer. It is also great for children.
What a fantastic product! Easy to use and a ton of ways to customize an image to the way you like it. My only wish is the developer of this App would team up with the developers of Affinity and create a plug in for their product. Then I could use it on my Windows operating system. I love this app! I’ve had it for quite some time now and it’s made making coloring books for the kid’s easy, I’m about to publish a coloring book for kid’s and adults. If you can email me with all creators I’d appreciate it I’m going to give credit to the application for artwork and filters.
This is a great app with amazing filters. They look very good and I enjoy then very much. However, I have tried to contact the developers several times regarding questions about their privacy policy, and have never received any response. I wonder if the developers have access to the pictures the users edit with that app. Can they see our photos? With so many unexpected privacy violations, how can we be sure that the apps we pay for are not going to see private information such as photos and videos? Their privacy policy is not completely clear on this. If the developers could please clear this up here I would certainly up the review to five stars.
So lately I have found editing pictures have gave me a sense of peace and creativity so this app is amazing for me. I bought the full app to get the full experience and I love it this far. I love the different effects but I wish I could edit the sharpness of the picture and brightness. Hopefully they’ll update the app to do so 🤞🏽
I have longed to remotely create cover art like my album covers in recent years (anything Jon Bellion or Logic’s “Everybody”). This app by far is the best i have ever used for such aim. I rarely buy a free+ app. Let alone leave a review. I have broken bought traditions for Insta Toon. The elegant pictures previewed are only a taste of the excellence this app allows one to create the sole problem maybe that it gives me more controls than i am accustomed. Thankful, the simply dials are easy to use and the presets are vivid as is. If only i could give this six stars. 🙏🏾
This is one of my all time favorite apps. The effects are incredible and unique to anything I have ever seen. The filters can be applied to your existing photos or viewed as a live, real time camera. I highly recommend this app to anyone wishing to add that extra pizzazz to their photo collection!
I use this for some of my instagram photos for my fam account , @_emmachamberlainn3 😂 and I love it. It’s really cool I love how my pictures turn out. I’m helping your company too because when I post things it says insta toon on the bottom and people probably check for this app. Again, I think this is a great app!
I just downloaded this yesterday and it’s so much fun! I’m taking a children’s literature class, and final project is to write our own book. I’m not artistic, so I took pictures of things, then turned them into toons to go along with the text. Great buy, highly recommend!
This is a really good app, I enjoy using it and the quality of the photos after is good as well, the only issue is, there’s a lot of things that require having the pro version and I think that it would be better if the app gave us just a little bit more for the people that don’t have the pro version
Downloaded this to try it out. Said three days free. Turns out this is a crappy app with poor art results. Not worth using. After twenty minutes of using this I went to subscriptions to cancel. I was expecting to see that I was going to be billed in three days. Instead it showed I was going to be billed in a month meaning I had already been billed for a whole month. This is unethical. This is a low quality app. Stay away.
The only reason I’m giving 1 star is because when you allow the app to access the photo library and then you click on it the first thing you see is your hidden folder with a preview on it ON TOPP of every other folder. Seriously!!! If it’s hidden is for a reason, how is that even possible? Im testing out the app and then someone gets to see one of my hidden pictures because that’s the first thing you guys show up when I click on gallery. Unacceptable!
The old filter icons were much more useful. The city icon did a better job of showing what the color scheme would do to the image. The new profile of the woman does not do this as well and it's actually a little boring. You took a bit of the fun away.
I would honestly wanna be able to see what the ones you gotta pay for look like w my own pics before I buy it like fr. Jus give like a preview option or sum. Jus think about it. Ill still give 5 stars doh.
I was wondering if this costed money because so far I haven’t used it at all but I downloaded it. It made me confirm that I was downloading it so I said yes. Before it swiped down I saw the word purchase and that scared me. I then saw an app that was 1.99 and the title on top of it said “in app purchases” and the name off this app was very similar to this one. I figured it could be this app. Just wondering if the app costed anything.
I read other reviews, so installed it... then I tried it on a photo from my album- my great grand-baby AND IT IS SO CUTE!! It was instant! I would only request that the programmers make it so it will save back to my photo album. As it is I can only share the cartoon image via a text to myself- where I then do a screen capture to save to my photo album. (This reduces the quality a little bit) I will try the free parts for a while, then I may subscribe. (I wanted to create cartoon selfies because I love the look of the paint by number apps)
Upgraded instantly after playing with the free version for a few minutes. Interesting effects and pretty intuitive, easy to manipulate and save to your photos. Check out Waterlogue if you like this one, pretty similar. I don’t like the black and white and some of the pattern opinions so I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5.
Very highly recommended I have logged about 1,000+ hours playing with this over the last couple years and find it to now be an essential tool in my daily creation processes.
This is by far the best filter app I have found. The other one that was okay was 8 dollars a weeks. I am totally going to upgrade to the pro version once I’ve figured out how to use the beginner ones properly. Awesome app. Keep up the great work. 🙂
This app is easy to use and allows real basic functionality for free. I tried another app but it kept insisting I give them a 5-🌠 review before allowing me to use the most basic functions.
The only thing I don’t like is how I have to pay for almost all of them. Can you at least have like watch a video or only able to use it once. Just a suggestion it would make the app a little better. Other than that the app is amazing🙂

I can’t get away from using the fax tools in this app. I’m always bouncing things though it and sending back to photoshop or procreate. Obviously we’d love more filters and presets ;)
This is a gem among toon apps. A few of its filters are perfect for my needs. The available adjustments provide additional nuance. My only problem is the low resolution. “Ultra HD” of 1920 x 1440 seems like a throwback when a screenshot on my iPad is 2732 x 2048.
This app is by far one of the best cartoon apps ever. They have a pro version that only cost $5 but you don’t need that in order to use this app which is cool. The basic free version still has very cool features and this is an overall cool and fun app
4 filters to try out before asking to pay for more and all 4 filters complete garbage. Sorry developers, with so much competition, you have to do alittle better than that! I instantly deleted the app, not for me. At the very least let us try other filters and then give the option to pay...... like I said, I deleted right after seeing that, I don’t have time to play BS games w “gambling” in hopes paying will be better! On to the next app.
