Great video editor - terrible camera

So this is intended to be a vertical video editor which it does well, as well as standard sideways phone video editing. The editor is easy, intuitive and packed with nearly endless combinations of features and effects! Trimming, video speed, background audio, audio editing, etc are all there as well as features that go beyond your basic video editor app on iOS. Pro subscription is very flexible, offering by the year, by the week, and if you so please, a one time flat fee for lifetime purchase! Now as stated, this excels as a video editor, but it’s execution on a camera recorder is poorly designed and lacking in many needed features. Not sure about most users but I experience lagging everytime I use their camera recorder, and even sometimes the app hangs up and shuts-down. Definitely needs manual controls (exposure, focus, white balance, etc) and more stable shooting, possibly image stabilization features akin to ProCam 6, etc. if Filmr can be fixed in that department then it’s a guaranteed 5 out of 5 stars!

5 Star Title-worth getting

Hello I’ve been using Filmr for 8 months now and I even got the premium, but this app can’t satisfy me. I chose a 5 star rating because this app does everything that you think + more, but it takes a long time for everything to load... if I make just over a 5 minute video it takes an hour to download. Alright this is the GOOD stuff about the app- easiest app to edit, you can choose from so much stuff already in the app, and premium is not completely needed ( I bought premium because as I said this is a 5 star app. By when I said you can choose from anything this is what I mean: if you wanted to make an AR video this app has Pandas to Santa to choose from. Another example would be a variety of songs you can choose any song you want for the background. Lastly, you can choose from a bunch of animated stickers, but really from GIPHY. Ok one more thing to add... there should be a way to spread out songs. 5 star rating the app is worth a get even if you don’t want premium. Update: I found it much faster to load things and I like the update. I’m so glad that my things are loading 75% faster. Another idea I have for this app is that you should do a green/blue screen. I feel I’ve explored must of the app, but I couldn’t seem to find that.

The app is great when working properly

So I subscribe to one of the plans, and the app was working awesomely until last month, when every time I went to change the aspect ratio, the app crashed. I have searched high and low on the Internet for help and even emailed them a couple of times with no response. I have followed every single direction given by any type of article talking about how to help apps that crash, but none of them are working. And now I’m really in a pickle about whether to unsubscribe and find another app to use which I don’t want to do because I like this one and I’m familiar with everything in it, or keep trying to find help…

Too many bugs - wasn’t able to finish video

It seemed like this was going to be easy to use, but the bugs and glitches prevented from even being able to finish the video. While trying to edit, the app kept closing out by itself over and over again. I tried working slower on the app, give time in between, making sure my phone was updated and so on, but nothing helped. So I would open the app (again) and try to pick up where I left off. After an hour of this, I finally had everything loaded and edited how I wanted. So then I tried to export the video, it would look like it was going to work, then the app would automatically close when it was at 96%. It eventually wouldn’t even let me click “export” and did nothing. So then I tried closing out of the app to reopen it (on purpose this time) and then allllll of my work was deleted. Very frustrating. There are A LOT of other apps that are comparable in abilities, price and ease of use, but they actually work. Please fix the bugs/ glitches, or at the very least set better expectations with what the user experience will be.

Love it! It’s exactly what I was looking for

I’ve been looking for an app where I could put audio over my videos. I had been using Instagram for it previously but it seems to have just updated and made their quality even worse for video making. This app allows background noise from the original video, doesn’t take away quality, has the option to save right to your camera roll without a water mark, and has many other super cool features! Downside: I can’t find the search bar for different songs, so I’m forced to pick whatever is given to me. There are, however, many many songs and I am not limited to a handful. No subscription required.

My InVideo experience

I decided to jump in to the influencer game after doing research and I came upon the InVideo site. I was able to use the free version of the program to try to get a feel for it and when I was stuck I became frustrated and noticed in the corner that there was a Live chat icon. I opened the Live chat and the person on the other end was able to help me and get me on my way. A day or two later I was trying to program out and got to a point where I was frustrated again remembering the icon I clicked on it and was help right away and I was able to finish my product so I decided to upgrade and get more features. Once again not knowing which subscription I should get. I clicked on the live chat and all of my questions were answered and I ask a ton of questions and Mac was more than helpful he was extremely patient guiding me through making my decision to purchase an upgraded subscription. I would recommend this program to anyone that is interested in creating video content.

Heck yes

FINALLY a video editing app that has all the features I’m actually looking for. As someone who is used to robust pro desktop editing software, I often find phone apps fall short on capability. Not so here. The clip editing interface is simple and intuitive and even the free version is loaded with features - you can edit vertical video, rotate or flip orientation, trim and split clips with ease, speed slow or reverse them, add titles, filters, transitions, even adjust audio levels. I’m honestly impressed they squeezed so much functionality into this app. AND it offers every export format you could possibly need or want. I’m sold. Just bought the yearly subscription.

Almost perfect video editing app.

I feel that I've finally found my go-to mobile editing app. It has what I've been looking for: 1. Vertical videos 2. Transitions 3. Music 4. Adjustments I do wish you could use any music from Dropbox or Google drive. I download all my video production music from another website in which I have a huge library of. Having to forgo all that and use only apple music was a major bummer. It's probably the biggest peeve about the app. Also, when will more transitions be added? I am not a fan of showy transitions. I like left and right quick transitions the most. The zoom transition is nice on here too. I also wish you could apply/copy aadjusents to all layers like you could volume. And also having a custom LUTS library would be amazing. It would be a way for users to share LUTS with other users and also build the audience of this app. I feel this app is on the verge of becoming the best video app. I already have tons of friends asking about it after making only two quick vids for my insta story. This app really does rock.

Good, but...

This is a pretty good app. I have no experience, but was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly. But after one project,I’m unable to make another project. I made my first project to get used to the app, and when I tried to make another, it asked me if I wanted to get the pro version. This wouldn’t have been a problem, just a bit annoying. But when I pressed the x in the corner and tried to continue, it kept showing me the ad(?) for pro. It won’t let me make another project unless I get the pro version! This is most likely just a glitch, but another reviewer had a similar problem and the Developer responded saying it was fixed. Please fix this.

Best Video Editor App I’ve Come Accross

It has surprisingly cool effects you can use that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. Only complaint I have so far is when you apply a filter over it, then you scale down how intense you want the filter to be, and once you tap the “before toggle” to see the original look and release it it sets back the intensity of the filter to 100%, yet it still shows the percentage at whatever you set it to. Because of this I have to nudge the scale a little to set it back to the intensity I set it at originally. But that’s not enough for me to not give this app 5stars! Keep up the good work!

Crashing is a ridiculous problem, but good app

I was excited when I discovered this app because it’s free features extended far beyond the feature iMovie offered. I was added in a gif and I searched “square.” Results came up and they were exactly what I was looking for. However, my app crashed before I could click anything. Every time I search for a gif, it crashes. I can’t finish my short film project because of this inconvenience. My iPhone 7 is completely updated and I have tried everything. This app has so much potential, but I can’t use it if it keeps crashing. How can I fix this? If I can fix it, I will probably buy the pro version.

It has potential but it’s a charge for any and everything

I can’t give you any higher rating than one you take up a lot of memory and your as is catching but once inside it looks like a lot of complicated things to give it that wow effect but it’s the same things in I move and that’s free . When you all start to understand you may catch one or two but how many do you loose in that day or ask for their money if you can’t give anymore than just putting your videos all in one place then I’m deleting you have potential but your first priority was money and it shows did you forget you need people to spend the money maybe had you given the basics and lost all the complicated drama and made it way to use it may do a lot better I’m sorry but I have to delete I couldn’t start everything I touched had a charge

Can’t access it

Every time I finish selecting the photos I want for a project, it asks if I want to get pro. I would have no problem with this if it would let me decline it. There is no X on the pro pop up and I can’t even continue to work on the project. I exited out of the app multiple times and nothing changed except it just gets rid of the photos I selected. I tried seeing what this pro pop up was supposed to look like and it’s supposed to have a no thanks option but for me that option doesn’t show. I can’t actually rate the app if I can’t access it, so I’ll give it an average rating. I’m assuming this is a glitch of some sort or I just can’t find the exit to this pop up even after looking at it for a while.

Worked for me but Watermarks

If your interested in the app my only warning is the free version leaves your video with a watermark. It’s not too big and slightly transparent and I honestly didn’t mind it but if that’s a probable for you buy Pro or go elsewhere. Other than that this was the first app that let me edit in music without making me pay. I’ve used it for 2 videos so I haven’t tried out many of the tools but the ones I used (music, text, transitions) worked fine for me. The in-app camera is low quality and I’d recommend using your phone camera instead. No complaints here.

So the problem is, when I want to import media for my second video, the premium offer goes up, no matter how many times I press the X. Then I either have to, restart my iPad(not sure if that even works...), delete the app and get it back, and the first time it did that, it basically cleared up after I did my first review. This is a good app but..

Honestly this is a good app and I would probably use it for the next few years then delete it, but there are somethings I don’t like about it. Like how you have to get the premium one to use the whole app, and how you have to wait almost 20mins if you make something long. (Which is Understandable) But what I would like for you to fix (this is optional) is how we can fully use the app, like give us more options to choose from, maybe another filter, or more background pictures. But the app doesn’t bother me much. Yet.

Please help

So I’ve been looking for a video-editing app that will support my Apple Music monthly subscription, and I was excited because I thought this would be it. So I can look at my music library in the app but whenever I try to use it it says I should download it to my device, so I did. I tried again but my downloaded music had disappeared from the list!!! I can’t figure out what’s wrong. I don’t know if the fact that I don’t use iTunes is the problem, or if there’s something wrong with my device ... OTHER THAN THAT this app is great and I love it.

This app is garbage !!

This app is garbage I signed up for the pro version which was $179 and every time I make a video and I try to upload the video that I created in my phone it tells me that I must sign up for the pro features that I click on the pro features, and it does the same thing over and over and over again it will not allow me to upload the video that I created in my phone because it says that I’m not a pro member and then I click the link and it builds me it keeps doing this going to have to contact Apple delete this app and write horrible reviews about the stupid app spent five hours, edit your videos and it will not let me save into my phone. what a piece of junk a piece of junk

It’s GREAT but,…

There’s ALWAYS a but. Don’t upload to TikTok if you use their stock music,…it’s not royalty free, at least TikTok doesn’t recognize it as royalty free. NOTHING is worse than taking the time to edit, perfect, time and add music only to have your music stripped out and the video silenced. If it’s NOT royalty free, why include it? I get that this is TikTok doing that but you’d hope ALL the kinks would be handled before releasing an app, especially licensing. It kills the final edit,…and if you can’t post across all of social media, it’s pointless to use. Which STINKS because it’s an AWESOME app. 5 stars for that and a heads up to users if you don’t mind severe limitations on where it can be played. TikTok is 1/4th of where I post and losing traffic and getting visitor complaints kind of forces me to not post there, $$$ out of my pocket as a result. Literally my only complaint.

Replacing a good music search bar to limited/none music

Whether I was able to use 30 seconds of free Music of my choosing of artist and song I liked never bothered me but changing the search bar to the apps customized music for you is a bit saddening and the fact that you now have to buy all your songs you want to try on your videos and it’s even more aggravating having that “Epidemic sound” music bar as an option to find music. Logging into that side of the music bar came with another registration and coughing up money, I’m already an active member on the app paying and this is type of frustration we get ? I’m just not happy with the update at all. It was better and less stressful than this.

App almost perfect

I bought the yearly Filmr subscription and I really hope you guys add a Motion Blur option and a option where you can add more then one effect on the same clip , this app would be perfect with that add ons and I hope to see that option before my yearly subscription ends and it would be nice if you could raise the volume more than 100 on certain videos. I hope to see some add ons and updates in the near future. Thanks for your work

Great, a few flaws.

I use this app the most out of the other editing apps out there. It’s easy, simple, and has great editing tools, in particular I like the transitions and the text. The only problem is that sometimes, the video will play (when reviewing) and only the play audio plays. Also I’m trying to save a video into my camera roll and it’s pretty inconvenient when my downloading progress gets completely interrupted (causing me to restart downloading) by accidentally tapping on the screen. Please fix this, add a lock mode or something.

Put more options

Thank you very much and I would ask you to please change your Premium option prices a little as well as put the option to save account because sometimes we mistakenly deleted the app and we changed devices and if we have the Premium option we lose it it would be better that it had more options of both filters and cut parts of the videos and make them faster without having to remove stop from the video (video speed)

amazing... when it isn’t crashing

let me say this first: this is an EXCELLENT video editing app! i use it to edit all the instagram videos i shoot on my phone. the downside (and it’s a big one) is that it CONSTANTLY crashes when i try to save a project in 4K at 60 fps. i’m not even talking about long projects, it crashes literally every time i try to save a a 30 second video. sometimes all of my data on a project just blacks out and i cannot use it, after spending ages editing and perfecting a video. very, VERY frustrating. if they don’t fix this issue soon, i’m afraid i’m going to have to switch services.

I love it!!

This is the best app I have for editing and creating videos. I can make a slideshow or a completely random one with little effort. I don’t even have any in-app purchases. and it still works great! There are a few features that are awesome that you could get with paying for a subscription, but they don’t bother you with ads for anything. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a way to edit or create videos!!!

Best editing app ever!!!! Get it

This Filmr app is Amazing I love it . Well you’re literally going to be blown away of what it can do! It is free and you pick a video/picture then you can edit add music and all these cool stuff and it asks you if you want to post it somewhere or save it and it automatically does it for you I made so much these with different kinds of videos and pictures and I smashed them in one. It is so easy and if your not good at editing it can help you and make it easy.

Pretty cool but has glitches

I’m a decent editor, but this one had me pulling my hair out. It’s got cool features and is pretty cut and dry / easy to use, but there’s been a glitch where it adds a blank frame between two clips - and I had to go to Desktop version to use the precision of a mouse vs my finger on Mobile - and once I removed the Blank/Black frames and exported the final project, it was still there. Hourssss of my life were spent on this annoyance, so if you don’t wish to get fancy with your edits, it may be for you - otherwise, avoid it until they figure out the bugs - and yes, I had the most updated app.

Very useful!

I love this app. Have used for many different purposes, both long and short projects. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is the options to save are a bit dated. Instagram stories but not reels. Sure you can export to camera roll and upload the edited video clips for reels in on IG and Facebook but the formatting is not exactly correct and some cropping occurs. Really need to catch up on this! Otherwise a fantastic app!

Useful free features

Made a quick edit to video in slow motion and thought it was awesome that it was a free feature and able to support 4K slow motion without a subscription fee. Definitely will consider purchasing subscription after experiencing this positive editing experience without cost, often free features are not what is needed and free apps process edits and download/upload at unusable slow speed, INSHOT was far faster than expected.

Best editing app ever.

I love this, and will continue to use this until I find something better. I love this app and recommend you to use it. It’s full of wonderful features that are really easy to figure out and work like a charm. I have one question though, how do you pay to remove the water mark? It says on the description that one of the in-app purchases is 1.99 for watermark removal. The only thing I can find is pro, and I’m too poor to buy pro.

FilmR is pretty cool!

I was looking for a nice video editor and found this, and I’ve pieced together a couple videos. I think it’s a great app because you can combine your photos and videos while adding music stickers and text. You can also share your videos to different social media websites and your own phone, ad free (except for their own premium ads). I think it’s an overall good experience.

Liked it so much that I bought the year

I’ve edited videos for fun for the last few years and this app has some really neat features and offers effects that I haven’t seen or had the chance to play around with. It is super easy to use. It took me a minute to figure out how to set the time on a clip but it was worth the trying to figure it out. I liked it so much I went ahead and got the year subscription, and that says a lot.

“Free” clickbait app

this is just another “free” clickbait app . i haven't even had a chance to use this app yet, but i gonna calificated ther just for the scam because every time l open the app a pop up asking me if I want to upgrade to Pro and there is no way to exit it. so there is only 2 options: delete the app or contribute to the scam. so please fix this or just say the price directly in the app store. just don't fool people!!! and in the others comments you only ask have you try the free trial? and no i havent because i dont want to pay that amount just in a app . so i just want to know is if you gonna fix this because the other comments are from moths ago and there is no solution yet

Very Disappointed

Paid for a one year subscription and have Mobile Pro. On my iPhone I have access to only 29 templates. On my iPad, I don’t have access to any templates. Also, what I create on the website is not accessible to neither of my mobile devices. So no editing out when out away from my computer. I emailed the support team to see if I’m doing something wrong but have yet to hear from them. Regarding the templates, most are focused on business so you’re limited in what you can do if you want to make something a little more personal.

Don’t Get It

I downloaded this app for a project at school. We used it to edit our videos and put in music and it was great, however, when it came time to turn it in it was a whole other story. You can not download your ‘movie’ unless you have the pro version. We found this out and were devastated. I saw that there was a free 7-day trial so I said I wanted that and then I found out that it would bill me for 45 DOLLARS after the 7 days unless o cancelled the subscription in time. Totally worthless if you ever want to do anything with your movies. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to cancel in time.

Overcharged

I purchased a three day free trial for the app version and it tells me to upgrade to desktop as well so I did and I lost my free trial because I do not want the app. I thought the app can do everything the desktop version can do so I purchase the unlimited plan on the desktop, but they charged me for the mobile which I have no use for and the desktop which I enjoy. All I want is a refund for the app. The app is only an editing tool. I already have tools to edit you should be able to get a refund. I’m happy with the desktop version, but I do not care for the app.. I’m never going to use the app

Sinply THE BEST video editing app for iPhones

It can crashes sometimes if you add too much elements such as text or effects or if you're editing aspects like hue, offtone, sharpness, grain or vignette but if the app crash and shut down it automatically save your project right on the point before it shut down so you don't lose your work. It's really the best for mobile I've ever used and the paid version really worth it tho!

Best Video App!

I have been using my iPhone to create videos both personal and fir my company 360 Wraps. I usually have to use 2-3 different apps to achieve the things that I’d like to do in the project. Filmr is the first app I have ran across that does everything I need. From letting me crop a video to reversing clips and adjusting speed. It’s definitely a must have for pocket video producers. You can do some very professional work with this app.

Pretty good!…although-

I’m not even gonna lie, this app isn’t that bad! If you need an editing app that won’t take up as much storage, decent transitions, and your working on something simple, I highly reccomended this! Even though the pro version is ridiculously priced if your using the free version it isn’t that bad honestly..! Although if you can get capcut or kinemaster I’d personally get that instead but still a good app👍

“Pro” pop ups

I haven’t even had a chance to use this app for editing videos yet, and I’m sure it’s fine, but every time I open the app I’m met with a pop up asking me if I want to upgrade to Filmr Pro. There is no way to exit!! Please fix this, and if you won’t, then put something that says you have to pay for it, don’t lure people in with the façade of the app being free. Edit: I’ve been scrolling through your other responses and all you ask is “have you signed up the free trial yet?” NO I HAVENT BECAUSE I DONT WANT TO PAY $50 AFTER THE TRIAL IS OVER!! Please just tell me if it is possible to use the app without paying!!

Perfect when it’s not crashing

I really want to like this app but there are two major issues when using it on my iPhoneX. At a few points in the workflow, my video preview disappears. This happens when I add transitions and when I’m trying to resize a clip. I end up working with a black preview window which is a dealbreaker. The app also consistently crashes when trying to export a project. The UI is really intuitive and fast. Please fix these glaring issues!

Good for editing, not so much on the music adding front

Honestly, I like 85% of the app, but whenever I want to add music that I KNOW I've downloaded via the music app on the same device, this app keeps telling me that it's in the cloud and needs to be downloaded. I can understand making people use the Music tab and then having them pay for it. But if I have created my own music and want to use it in my edited video, I'm SOL. Any idea when this will get fixed, and ideally updated with a better music browsing interface, too? Searching by title itself is so painful.

Used This Last Min, Awesome Quality

I have a rock band and needed a platform to finish and upscale the quality of the video. I thought I wasn’t gonna use the app again, but honestly find myself coming back to it time and time again, even for the smallest of projects. Wonderful effects, great interface, and amazing versatile. Really incredible value for a great app. Cannot recommend it more!

I love this app so much but...

I used this app on my friend’s phone and it was amazing! So i decided to download it for myself. On my friend’s phone, we can use these augmented reality characters (toys) in the videos, but on my phone, after two weeks of trying, I still can’t figure out how to find the toys. If I could get some help, that would get this app a five star rating, because I think that if it has the toys, that’s what it deserves.

Very good app

I use this to edit my YT videos(ZB Combat;) and it works extremely well. I really have no complaints. The extra stuff for FILMR+ or whatever it’s called look very nice but I haven’t bought it yet bc I do YT for fun right now, but if I get into it seriously I’ll probably end up buying it and maybe I’ll give another review in the future if I do decide to get premium.

Filmr Has Fixed It All

When the app updated recently, the subscription I had paid for a year seemed to be no longer valid. So I gave a 1 star review. But since today, all is restored and I have all the premium features now. Today, I’m giving Filmr 5 stars. Thank you. Filmr has been my go to editor for a long while now.

The greatest

This editing app is the best free one I’ve seen out there. I use it for all my edits. There is unlimited amount of space for media and the song selection comes right from iTunes. Every song is on there. You can also use music from your iTunes library. If u don’t have a song purchased it’s ok because they give u 30 seconds of every song free. I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED

New to video making

This is the most easily thing I have done. I have made a couple and I still don’t know all the ends and outs but this app makes everything so easy to add pop up words and format to any videos. I even made a video of a bunch of pictures for our sons 19th birthday. It was amazing.

Best I’ve found by far

This makes creating little films very simple with plenty of stuff to it at the same time. The only problem is that there isn’t the classic background music offered, you have to search it up (although this is simple the other apps have different sounds that they think you might like).

A Price too High to Pay

I created a short video to which I simply sought to add music. I downloaded the Filmr app, granting access to my video, yet I was DENIED advertised tools/features… unless/until I gave app FULL access to ALL personal material and data stored in my phone media files. I repeated my attempt… and was again prompted to surrender all personal information. Of course, I refused.
